Varier Restaurant

For that very special occasion, Varier is prefect. Finely prepared French cuisine with a Japanese twist. Unique dishes with a delicate favor. Plan at least two hours. Best to get a reservation. Attentive and well trained staff. Excellent presentation of each dish. With wine and sparkling water about 10,000 yen person. Get a table by the big bright windows or an imitate booth for two. I took my love there for Valentine’s Day. ❤️ We have the “C Lunch” course. Exceptional! 🏆

This marked our second visit to Varier, and our previous experience left such an indelible impression that we invited a friend to accompany us on this occasion. The service continues to be an exquisite blend of visual elegance and delightful flavors, evoking our fond memories. Our waiter provided exceptional attention, ensuring a delightful experience for our party. We eagerly anticipate returning for a third visit during our next sojourn to Osaka. We wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant as a highly recommended dining destination.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing service! Was a surprise dinner for me by my girlfriend for both my own birthday and valentines day and it did not disappoint. The carrot, orange with cod milt soup and the prosciutto on yellowtail with a mushroom foam/puree were my two favourite dishes of the night. Wine choice was excellent as-well, the restaurant was pretty empty on a Tuesday night, we struck up a conversation with the sommelier and we were gifted one of the wine pairs with one of our dishes and it was spot on. Service was personable and friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. As the restaurant was empty, the environment felt a little bit hollow, but the talkative staff made up for it, even though their english was limited, it felt tourist friendly. Overall, I would absolutely come back to try another set menu that they offer, when in Osaka.

Don’t believe the pics on the website! Horrible! Worst restaurant my wife and I have ever eaten at, and we travel to at least 8 countries a year. The food was not fresh, everything was old. The wine was old, the butter was old, everything was bad. The greens on the apps were wilting, the fish was old. There was one other couple in the place that was having as bad of a time that we did but were too nice to leave. They picture it like it’s a Michelin level restaurant, and we’ve been lucky enough to to go to many many many Michelin starred 1-3 star spots globally. Go to the ramen place across the way or anywhere. Do not eat here. Plan in advance and go to La Chime!

Best food, service and ambience ever at a quite competitive price. Making art out of food with a fresh and professional treatment from the waiters and the chef. We will come back again when visiting Osaka for the next time. :)
