Best Restaurants in Roswell, Georgia | Eater Atlanta

"With lightbulbs hanging from super-thick mariner’s rope, this cozy spot on the edge of Downtown Roswell might just transport you to Greece, if only for a night. The brainchild of Greek chef Vasilios “Billy” Liakakos, the restaurant serves up nostalgic foods from his childhood transformed by the touch of a classically trained chef. Start your meal with a Greek-inspired cocktail like the ouzo lemon drop or Mykonos mule before digging into plates of succulent seafood, wood-fired meats, and an endless array of mezze. Pony up to the bar from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for happy hour specials like half-price apps." - Sarah Bisacca

We came for lunch on a Sunday. The flaming cheese, octopus, hummus, and seasoned pita were excellent starters. We also had the traditional gyro with traditional Greek salads. Both were delicious, as well! We were very full so we ordered baklava to go, which we ate that night. Everything was very good and we enjoyed the bright room with lots of windows for our lunch. The service was also excellent and the timing of food and appetizers was perfect. We will be back!

I’ve now been to VAS Kouzina twice, my first visit was to their old Alpharetta location(which is closed now) and today I went to the Roswell spot. I purposely waited to leave a review until I came back again, just to see if the food would be as good..and it absolutely was! I went on a Sunday with my brother and we both loved everything!! Our server (I can’t remember her name but she had purple hair) was so sweet and recommended bar drinks that I really enjoyed! For app we went with the flaming cheese, which was delicious! but the main reason I came back was for their pastitsio & Mediterranean Seabass…(lavraki) that lemon butter sauce is everything! And the sides, roasted lemon potatoes and roasted cauliflower are honestly some of the best I’ve had. We also tried dessert, and the Nutella Loukoumades completely blew us away. We had no idea what to expect since we didn’t even look them up beforehand, but as big Nutella fans we figured we couldn’t go wrong. They came out hot, fresh, crispy, and tasted like the perfect mix between a croissant and a donut. Every bite was amazing! The food, service, and overall experience made us so happy today. I just hope the consistency stays because when you fall in love with certain flavors and dishes, you crave them. Everything here is just good.

Google
Great place for Greek food! We went to celebrate post orchestra dinner party! Our hostess was great and had all the right recommendations. We loved the dips, the stuffed chicken and the kebab sticks! They have some good cocktails and desserts too! But my best want to be back for is the pita bread … so yummmmmy

Google
This restaurant has Amazing customer service. Every server, the chefs even the greeter is warm and genuinely happy you came in the dine with them. The food is delicious, it's clean simple good Greek food done the right way. My 8 year old Granddaughter did not like fish until she tasted the whole sea bass now she asks me to take her here to eat. From appetizers to dessert it's a delicious, friendly, warm experience. If you love Greek cuisine you have to come here!

Google
What a delight ! Wife and I noticed this restaurant and decided to try it out. We didn't realize that they did not open until 4PM on Wednesdays. At around 2:30 I peeked in the window. The owner caught me and insisted that we come in and have lunch. We had a great meal and meeting some wonderful people in the restaurant business. We enjoyed gyro and fava. boy was it good. We plan to be back soon. Thank you Billy and Caroline for making a very special memory. I highly recommend Vas Kouzina !

Google

Google
First time here, and I enjoyed it. I had olives for an appetizer and a lamb gyro. Although the gyro had a mild flavor and was a little dry, it tasted good. The dessert was very good. Service was exceptional. My server DJ was personable and attentive. I look forward to returning.

Google
We came in on a Friday night, no reservation. Fortunately we were seated pretty quickly. Service was a bit slow but the food was really great. The saganaki was fabulous to start. My fiance had the lamb chops and I had the salmon. Both were also delicious. The location is also very nice for a stroll

Yelp
The decor of VAS Kouzina is pretty cool. I really like the vibe of the place. Aside from that, service was good and the food was mostly top notch. Stopped in for the first time last week. I had this bookmarked for a while and decided it was time to check it out for date night. Hubby ordered the beef sticks with grape leaves and I ordered the burger with a side of fries. We started out with the saganaki (flaming cheese). Everything was delicious with the exception of the grape leaves (can't recall the official name of this dish). I told hubby that some reviews had mentioned they were soggy and not too good. He agreed with those reviewers and would not recommend. The saganaki was both literal and metaphorical fire. The pita points it was served with were crunchy, which was pleasantly surprising. We both did wish there was some kind of sweetness to complement the cheese like a fruit jam or something, but it was delicious regardless. The beef on the sticks was tasty as was the burger but the star of the whole show were the fries. Hubby typically does not like fries but he loved these and was happy that I let him share them with me. Lol I am not sure what kind of seasoning they had but our taste buds definitely approved. They don't come with the burger but were definitely worth getting on the side. It was a little on the pricey side at about $35-40 more than our typical date night spend for less food, but it was good overall. Too pricey to make it into our weekly rotation, but will be a nice addition to our special occasion options.

Yelp
yum yum! I was in the area for Alive after Five which if you know anything that means the City of Roswell was an absolute mess. Trying to find dinner? good luck! But thank god for VAS Kouzina!!! We were wandering putting our name down anywhere and VAS Kouzina sat us down immediately which was amazing! Our waiter was nice and super attentive. We got some hummus to start which was delicious. For my main, I got the gyro and we all shared some greek fries which was so yummy! The meal was absolutely delicious and well priced. If you are looking for a yummy and simple meal in Roswell this is a great choice!

Yelp
Great food and service. I love the Mediterranean food I really recommend this restaurant the ambiance is great

Yelp
-service was so personable and lovely! -told them we had a bday in our party and they brought us complimentary baklava roll -steak medallions were wonderfully cooked -gyro (eaten by someone else in party) was average -skewers were also cooked well but very salty -mocktails were beautiful and the cherry one was my fav; others were slightly too sweet for me (nyx and Athena mocktails) -calamari wasn't overly greasy and lemon aioli sauce was light and great to dip in -hummus was very acidic for my liking; would maybe try a different spread -everything unfortunately was overly salted; think they might've been heavy handed today -above being said, would come back for the friendly service and to try other menu items

Yelp
Wanted to really love this place as it seems so authentic! Good lamb chops, lamb gyro, and baklava. For the price of the lamp chops, I wanted to be really wowed - but it was decent. The baklava was too sweet but to be expected when you're dining in the South. Our server was friendly and kind and overall it was a lovely dinner experience.

Yelp
Sat at the bar with bartender Kaylee and everything from start to finish was excellent. Started with Flaming Cheese - wow good - then the beet salad and the stuffed chicken. Food, service, ambience - all outstanding! Highly recommend and we'll be back soon

John W.

Yelp
great menu! great kitchen! marvelous service- appropriately attentive and very personable! We always enjoy our meal at Vaz

Yelp
Finally got to eat here. Wanted to eat there for years, but they don't open till 5 PM. I would highly recommend it. It was not cheap, but it was good and the service was very good.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
My Greek burger was tasty but the Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves wraps) were found to be somewhat soggy and tasteless. The grilled octopus was nice so said my partner. The overall dining was a B and our server was tolerant and helpful. Want to try the sister location in Alpharetta next for a good comparison.
google avatar

Yelp
Very unpretentious, relaxed, good music. We had calamari and lamb shank. Very nicely prepared. Waitress was very friendly and we ordered a dessert, and were graced with a sample of another. Leave room for dessert. Both were awesome. Rating against other Greek restaurants, I would put it near the top.

Yelp
So I happened upon this jewel in Roswell near Canton St. It was a freezing cold night, and the warmth of the staff & ambience was palpable. I was impressed with the mocktail list named after Greek Goddesses (the Athena was delightful). There were many great options on the dinner menu with a focus on lamb and fish. I decided on a chicken gyro & dips & of course the baklava cheesecake (best dessert I've ever tasted!). My only complaint was that the meat to bread ratio was off -- for the price I would have expected a bunch more chicken. Still, I would recommend for a girls night out or romantic dinner.

Yelp
A warm and friendly smile greets you as you walk into this restaurant. The young lady walked us to our table near the bar. It was early and the dinner rush hadn't started. A waiter was assigned to our table and he carefully explained the menu with a few personal recommendations which was nice. We ordered the grilled octopus to start and then the grilled sea bass...... as we tasted both dishes the memories of a recent trip to Greece popped up ......the food was splendid and everything was cooked to perfection.......we wanted to skip dessert but the wonderful hostess brought the most irresistible baklava.....a tasty experience..... try some.....

Yelp
Recently visited VAS for a girls night out. We had a table for 8 on the outdoor patio. Love the Mama Mia style ambiance consisting of soft blues and rustic neutrals. They have a great assortment of wine, cocktails and mocktails. For appetizers we had baked feta with a glaze reduction along with warm olives and spicy red pepper hummus and pita bread. For dinner we shared small plates of perfectly seasoned and seated roasted vegetables, lemon potatoes and orzo. Others had lamb and chicken gyros that are truly authentic - large knife and fork style meals here!! For a fun night out downtown Roswell for great Greek food, good service, and a fun warm ambiance Vas is the place!

Yelp
We went out for a birthday celebration and divided that we were just going to nosh on some apps. Vita was wonderful! She helped us pick things out and the food came out a little at a time and we enjoyed eveerything. Nice atmosphere get staff and excellent food.

Yelp
Let start with saying the service was really good. We sat outside because it was a nice day and they had heaters. We are so much good food! The calamari was on point and we had a whole fish. You can ask for the head removed and debone which I asked for it all. That was enough for both of us to share. The service was on point as it was fast and the server was very knowledgeable. We will be back!

Jackie B.

Yelp
VAS Kouzina is currently my favorite restaurant in Roswell! Try the goat cheese fried balls with a side of pita, an authentic Greek salad, the moussaka, and any of the gyros for a satisfying dinner for two. Add a bottle of Greek wine for the full experience... I have also heard great things about the whole fish; can't wait to try it! Feeling like Greek food? This place will not disappoint!

Joey L.

Yelp
OMG the entire experience was horrible. This is by no means a cheap place so I had some expectations. How does a Greek restaurant manage to screw up a traditional gyro? The four dry slices of lamb were over a 1/4" thick and had 1/4" crust. It was so dry that it crumbled. With the sparse side of zaikai sauce and water I managed to get it down. I hope I don't get sick. I decided to do a starter so I ordered the Skordalia spread which is supposed to be garlicky but it just had a faint taste and it lacked salt. It was basically ice-cold very thick dry mashed potatoes. The $8 draft beer was cold which was the highlight of the meal. I sat at the bar and the bartender spent the entire time socializing with all the servers. When I left after finishing my horrible meal, my three menus were still sitting in front of me. Clearly some training is needed. Avoid this place.

Yelp
VAS Kouzina was amazing!! We went at a weird time, 4:15 pm on a Saturday, so we were pretty much the only ones there. We ate outside and it was great! Nicholas was our waiter. He was so attentive and friendly. Here's what we got: - Three Spreads (Melitsanosalata Eggplant Spread, Revithosalata Hummus, Tirokafteri Spicy Feta Spread) ($14.99): So, so delicious! Great deal to try 3 different spreads. The Tirolafteri was not spicy at all. - Goat Cheese ($8.49): Fried goat cheese balls in balsamic vinaigrette. So good! - Traditional Gyro ($11.29): Amazing, especially with the tzatziki. - Lamb Gyro ($13.29): Amazing again, especially with the tzatziki. - Spanaki ($10.49): Super good! - Americana Greek ($10.99): So much feta and lots of other toppings! Amazing! - Roasted Cauliflower ($7.49): So good and lemony! They also brought out a dessert sampler, on the chef, with baklava rolls and something with honey walnut. The dessert was so good and next time we go back, we will definitely be ordering! We loved every single thing we got. The prices are so fair and the portions are generous. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We will 100% be back!

Giovanna H.

Yelp
This restaurant was in fact recommended by a Grecian acquaintance. Unfortunately, I did not find anything to be great. The drinks were very pricey and nothing out of the ordinary. The sampler was good. We had the salmon special and lamb chops. The salmon was not bad. The risotto that came along with it was ok. The lamb chops were not flavorful so we had to ask for salt. We even discussed this with the manager. The baklava was good. Not too sweet which is great because I've had some which are just too sweet. Favorite thing was the goat cheese balls All in all it's not a place I'd return to. It's overpriced and the service received from the manager was not what we are used to. Instead of addressing the issue and making sure we felt heard about the pricey lamb chops he just made excuses.

Yelp
Honestly do not understand the hype of this place whatsoever. There's parking near by but it is somewhat difficult to find spots if it's a busy night. We had a reservation for 8 people to sit outside. We were seated pretty quickly. The horrible part was that they seated this huge party right where the fans didn't hit us. So we were very uncomfortable with the heat when they had ensured us there would be fans to cool us down. We asked REPEATEDLY if we could move the fan to hit us because the other tables had mostly cleared out. We even asked other tables if they were ok if we could move the fan and they were. Our server was trying his best however it was the managers decision. We slightly turned the fan after over 45 minutes of asking. The manager came out and yelled at us even though we had asked about this MULTIPLE times. Anyways other than the manager being rude to us. The food wasn't all that great either. We had gotten a few of the dips but definitely not the best in the city. The dips at Kyma are much more delectable. Everything had so much salt too! The octopus I would say was the best but still a bit too salty for me. The octopus however is what makes this a two star review and not one. I ordered a gyro and the meat in the gyro was too thick. In typical Greek restaurants, it's supposed to be a thin slice of meat. Overall, not great and there are plenty of other good restaurants in downtown Alpharetta to go to instead.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant and helpful staff. I definitely recommend this place. Very authentic Greek foods.
google avatar

Kurtis G.

Yelp
Beware. The restaurant splits the bill equally for groups. How can a place be allowed to do this ie charge you for something you did not eat or order and divide the bill without asking. Save yourself the money and go to Athens Pizza for better Greek food. We were there with another couple, four people total. It would be easy to split the bill accordingly, I told the waiter that my wife I were together and it should have been clear to the waiter what each couple ate. So the owners response is not correct.

Yelp
We have always had a great experience at VAS Kouzina, and hope to get back soon. We especially enjoy the whole fish, deboned table side.
google avatar

Cecilia T.

Yelp
I love the way this restaurant is decorated. You can tell they paid a lot of attention to the detail. Our server was really nice and really knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the feta pastry, which was imported feta wrapped in phyllo and baked, sprinkled with sesame seeds, and had a honey basalmic glaze drizzled over the top. It was good but I wish there was more glaze lol. We also had the hummus with perfectly toasted pita points. It was a great spread to add to our gyros. We split the gyro but we easily could've devoured our own. I loveddd the tzatziki. It was so garlicky and tangy, the way i like it. We also got the Americana Greek salad, Greek fries, and orzo salad as sides. Everything tasted so good and I loved being able to mix everything up because the flavors blended together beautifully. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
5 stars on every level. Infused cocktails...yes. Fantastic starters...yes. Gyro to die for...yes. Super atmosphere...yes. Great service...yes. I can't believe I waited so long to try this place. Now I dream about going back. I can. not. wait.

Yelp
My wife and I just enjoyed another wonderful visit to VAS. The food was outstanding and the service made it even better. Our server, Sophia, was very friendly and took excellent care of us throughout our meal. If you're looking for a great dining experience, VAS is a sure bet.

Valerie M.

Yelp
This place is the bomb and one of my favorite restaurants of all time! This time we sat at the bar and DJ gave us excellent service. Perfect restaurant for a girls' night out or for a date night! Way to go Vas!

Haley L.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time! Paul was the best server and the food was awesome. We would definitely come again.
google avatar

Paulina A.

Yelp
Delicious Greek food. Lively ambiance. Wonderful service. I loved my visit to Vas Kouzina. We started the dinner with a flaming saganaki (cheese) with pita bread. It tasted delectable and it was a memorable presentation as it's lit on fire at the table. We decided to share the whole fish branzino and it came de-boned and served with a wedge of lemon and savory lemon sauce. It was flaky, fresh, and zesty. Our server was lovely and brought us a complimentary baklava dessert since it was our first visit here. Will definitely return!
google avatar

Cassandra G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our Sunday patio brunch at Vas! The avgolemono soup and lamb polenta fritters were a nice pairing. I liked my bourbon drink special as well and it was definitely heavy on the bourbon! The meze 3 spread sampler was a nice offering. We chose the feta and red pepper (reminded me of Greek pimiento cheese spread), potato garlic and eggplant spread. All were fantastic. The Greek burger was also nice. The backlava rounded out the meal and was perfectly sweet. Our server and the service in general was outstanding. There was a lot of care taken to provide us with a personalized experience. Kudos to the staff at VAS for treating us to a great experience. I prefer this location to the Roswell one as it is more cramped over there and parking is a pain!
google avatar

Tracy W.

Yelp
I dined here with a rather large group and we had a great experience. Our food and cocktails were fresh and delicious. Portions were generous. Service was leisurely but attentive. The restaurant was quite busy for a Tuesday night and the waitstaff was definitely having to cover a lot of tables. They have a good amount of patio seating on a nice covered area, however loud traffic noise from the road did make it a bit difficult to hear dinner conversations, but given the restaurant location I'm not sure there's anything that can be done to mitigate that. Since it's in downtown Roswell, trying to find parking is always a struggle and for that reason I did remove one star (because it makes coming here more difficult). All in all the meal was excellent and maybe I will try the sister restaurant in Alpharetta and see if parking is easier there.

K M.

Yelp
So we loved vas kouzina when they first opened and had a great experience over the years. But we popped in recently after a long hiatus and I have to say that I was kind of disappointed. The dolmades have rice only and they were just ok. kind of bitter. The mussels appetizer had a weird bitter taste also, and the texture of the mussels themselves were mushy. I'm a huge fan of mussels but these were not my favorite at all. Usually they also come with a lot of bread to soak up the sauce but these had one slice of bread for both of us and it wasn't even a bummer because the sauce was just meh. My dinner of shrimp saganaki was just ok. It's literally just shrimp in tomato sauce with pita bread. My husband liked his beef skewers but the portion was small. Overall it was just ok and not sure I'd hurry back. They werent super busy for a Friday night and the table next to us was incredibly loud--not sure if that was because of acoustics or they were just loud people. And yes we have been to Greece and had authentic Greek food so this is not about that.
google avatar

Kat R.

Yelp
Vas Kouzina hosted our holiday work event. I enjoyed an amazing meal, with my new work colleagues in Alpharetta. From entering the restaurant until we left, our experience was fabulous. We all enjoyed the street holiday decorations and charm of downtown Alpharetta. The interior design of the restaurant is so pleasing with high ceilings, tiled walls and great lighting. Our server Izaiah was on it. He did such a great job sharing the menu, specials and helping us all order our meals. I highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic Greek meal served with Philia (Greek for affectionate, friendly love!). I will be back!
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have driven by VAS Kouzina so many times we decided it was time to visit. We made a reservation for a weeknight and it was a good idea - the entire place was packed by the time we left, including most every seat in the bar area. We were seated immediately in the main dining area, which is so light and bright - it felt very clean and cheerful. Our friendly waitress made several recommendations and here's where we landed. We started with fried calamari - it was perfectly done and perfectly portioned. Sometimes appetizers are so big you can fill up on them, but not this one. It was just enough to tickle our tastebuds. For dinner, we each chose a gyro: my boyfriend selected the traditional (lamb and beef) while I couldn't resist the shrimp version. We ordered two shareable sides, too: roasted cauliflower (amazing!!) and Greek fries. We loved it all so much that we ate every last bite and, unfortunately, left no room for dessert. Maybe next time! This is a casual restaurant (people wore shorts, polos, and sundresses), but VAS Kouzina feels more upscale with their menu options and terrific food presentation. We will be back the next time we're in the mood for fine Greek food!

Yelp
You have to try their espresso martini! This is a great spot to take a girlfriend or two to the bar or dinner with a date.
google avatar

Dawn T.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! I have been several times and I have absolutely loved everything I have ordered. The service is always great, but the past 2 times I've eaten at the bar. The bar tender is just a gem! He remembered me from almost a month ago. It's one of those secretes you want every one to know beaches so great, but that you want to keep to yourself so that you have a better chance of getting a seat. The location is on the small side and is frequently busy, so reservations are highly recommended unless you are taking a chance in the open bar seating.
google avatar

Maud D.

Yelp
This was our first visit to VAS Kouzina and it did not disappoint. Being European myself, authenticity is important, and I definitely felt that this meal was authentic Greek. The medallions were incredibly tender and the sauce was to die for. We will definitely be back! The only reason for not giving it the full five stars was that our server was a bit pushy and was trying to upsell us on some of the items we ordered, when we had already made up our minds.

Paul N.

Yelp
WARNING! They charge a fee to use a credit card. What's worse, is they don't advise you when you make a reservation and don't disclose on their website. We love the food and ambiance, but plan to bring cash if you don't want to use a credit card. Fee for a $230 bill was $8.50. My point has nothing to do with the cost...it has to do with disclosure. You don't indicate that there is a fee to use a credit card on Open Table or your own website. You disclose it when the customer receives the bill, so unless the customer is carrying a lot of cash, there in NO option!! Do you accept a debit card, Zelle or Venmo with no fee?
google avatar

Lea C.

Yelp
We love visiting Vas- Happy staff, good food, and just the right amount of ambience. It was a lovely evening, so we sat out on the patio. The patio is a bit loud as it's right next to the road, however, when it's over 70° in February, you just have to sit outside :) We love how most menu items are served tapas style, so my husband and I ordered a variety of things including Saganaki, Mediterranean salad, shrimp Saganaki and the mini traditional gyros. The plate portions were generous, and honestly, we were a bit too full to eat the euros! All yummy and we had quite a bit left over. Make sure to get their advice which the wine to order, the bartender is very knowledgeable and she will bring out tastings so you can determine what will suit your meal best. Total bill with a bottle of wine was $85 Pre tip. PS- they have amazing Limoncello if you're up for it :)
google avatar

Stacy G.

Yelp
Amazing food!! Great presentation, super staff! Make you feel like family. Some of the best Greek food I've had! Patio is fun and in the heart of Roswell. Returning in a few days!! Definitely bringing friends, want everyone to experience this
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and friendly service. We enjoyed the Greek cuisine with fresh fish and vegetables.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good, warm friendly vibe. Dog friendly on the patio! Good service. Food great and swift to arrive. Definitely going back.
google avatar

Wissal E.

Yelp
Nice ambiance for a date but not for a family with kids. I say that, based on the amount of food and the price. The Saganaki was "non-climactic". They do it at the table. You do not get any festive attention-grabbing sizzling and flames from the kitchen all the way to the table. The "Opa!" had zero umph :-/ I would come back for drinks and maybe an appetizer. However, I will save my craving for Greek food for Yeero Village!
google avatar

Yelp
TL;DR Phenomenal flight of flavor, texture, and authenticity all displayed in a brightly lit setting, reminiscent of Santorini. I have zero travel experience in Greece or anywhere in the Mediterranean sadly, so if while you are reading this, I sound like an authority on the subject, just... take it with a grain of salt. I happen to think I know good food pretty well though. I have a lot of experience in eating. :-) VAS Kouzina is one of my new favorites. Along with some very typical things you've probably had elsewhere (gyros, burgers, etc) there is a selection of authentic, Greek cuisine. I mean, at least, that's what the server told me, and that dude is the chef's brother. We went with a shared entree style dining and ended up with this stuff, largely on recommendation: Sauteed Calamari - pretty good though not quite as flavorful as I would have hoped, but I didn't turn down a second helping. Psaro Keftedes (fish cakes) - freaking amazing, almost pungent it was so flavorful. Saganaki (flaming cheese) - basically kefalograviera served hot and gooey in a cast iron skillet, set on fire with Ouvo as the accelerant. The caramelized edges of the flaming cheese, spooned and lathered over pita bread was a real highlight. WTAF. If you like cheese, don't pass this up. Entrees consisted of lavraki (whole Mediterranean sea bass) and lamb chops along with a side of grilled vegetables. Let's start with the fish. Very flaky, flavorful, not overpowering. The chef comes table side and de-bones it in front of you. You can keep the head if you want to get to the cheeks. Optional. The lamb chops were rich with flavor and tender enough that cutting with a butter knife was no issue. The grilled vegetables consist of eggplant, zucchini, squash, onions, peppers and had some type of balsamic reduction. That was really good and paired well with the lamb chops and fish. Rounded off the dessert course with a selection of loukoumades (basically donuts), baklava cheesecake, and mastiha panna cotta. The loukoumades disappeared. The baklava cheesecake was a nice hybrid twist on two classics. Extremely rich. I recommend cutting that with black coffee. Or whiskey. :) The panna cotta had an interesting taste of juniper to it that you either like or don't like. I liked it, personally. It gave it a complex, herbal flavor not typically associated to American sweets. The prices here range from reasonable to steep. The entrees do not come with a date so if you order multiples, the price starts to stack up. The drink prices are a bit stiff if you ask me, but everything else seemed in the right range. It's definitely worth checking out if you like Mediterranean cuisine. BTW if you were wondering, VAS is short for Vasilios. It's the equivalent of saying Bill for William. HOW TO READ MY REVIEWS: 1 Star - Does not approach edible. Yelp
The best Greek food that I have had outside of Greece. The decor is tasteful, but definitely a Greek blue and white color scheme. Outside seating is lovely on a nice day. Service seems to be reliably excellent.

Yelp
This restaurant has been in Roswell only slightly longer than I have, but it fits the vibe and locale so well that you'd think it'd been here forever! I made reservations to celebrate a birthday with them, but due to a medical emergency, I had to reschedule at the last minute for the next day. They were very accommodating and made sure that even though we missed our first opportunity, we were definitely able to make up for the experience the next go-round. There are three main seating areas, and although each is small, it's much bigger than it appears from the outside. There is an outdoor section, and indoor section, and an indoor/bar area section. We sat indoors on the warm/drizzly day and watched the traffic flow around the building. The art is minimal but absolutely perfect, especially the 3D piece of the broken dishes, indicative of any Greek restaurant. Clay was our server, and he made sure that we had fun, were well fed, and more than enough to drink to enjoy our meal. The food was delicious, and we ordered so much because we wanted to try it all. Saganaki, mini gyros, pastitsio, and so many desserts -- I can't even begin to tell you the tales of their deliciousness, but also try to order the sangria (either white or red) for both complements the meal wonderfully. Clay brought us out a birthday plate of desserts (which we had to have wrapped up after a couple nibbles because at that point we were so full), but then a second round of birthday desserts came out -- this time with a sparkler in them -- to make sure we really had the full experience. It was such a memorable experience. Clay and the owners really went out of their way to make our day perfect, and it truly was. I'm not even a huge Greek restaurant fan and I still enjoyed every bite.

The food was excellent, we had the octopus and moussaka. The cocktails are fun and the staff is very courteous and friendly. I love the lighting and inside decor.
