We stumbled upon Vatavaraan by chance while shopping in the area, and what a find it turned out to be! We had already tried popular spots like Dishoom and Gymkhana—both great and definitely worth the hype—but Vatavaraan is a true hidden gem that surpasses them.
The cocktails alone are worth the visit—bold, creative, and infused with spices, flowers, and even dessert flavors that blend beautifully with the alcohol. Every sip felt like an experience. Try Mihira and Kaala, both very interesting.
We sampled a variety of dishes across the menu: the Chicken Pepper Fry as an appetizer, Duck Seekh Kebab from the grill, and Lamb Burbat for the main course. Each dish was unique, flavorful, and showcased the chef’s remarkable creativity and technique. Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai is truly a magician in the kitchen.
The ambience is just as impressive—spread across four thoughtfully designed levels, including a private entertainment room with a full bar on the top floor, perfect for private events.
Highly recommend dining at Vatavaraan. It’s an exceptional culinary experience that deserves far more attention.
Special shout out to Mani and Shamim for their service. Their love for this restaurant is evident from their service.
