The Best Big Outdoor Spaces For Eating And Drinking

"You could walk past this open-air garden under Vauxhall’s railway arches, without realising it was even there. We know this because that’s exactly what we did when we came here. Twice. But now that we’ve warned you, we’re sure you won’t miss this literally huge spot. Picture rows upon rows of benches, all covered with a huge marquee roof, a resident DJ, beer, and a bunch of food vendors selling things like wagyu burgers, halloumi wraps, and - our favourite - French Tacos. They’ve always got events on the weekends, think bottomless brunches every Saturday, drag brunch picnics, and live sports screenings." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

The 6 Best Restaurants In Vauxhall - London - The Infatuation

"Inside this Tardis-like beer garden under Vauxhall Bridge, you’ll find beer taps, plenty of seating, and a number of food stalls. What you need to know is that one of these food stalls is an Algerian spot called French Tacos. Which specialises in, you guessed it, French tacos. Essentially a burrito filled with meat, chips, and melted cheese, choose from fillings like crispy chicken, minced beef, and cordon bleu. It’s the type of wedge wrap that’ll have you taking a nap afterwards, and it’s 100% worth it. Don’t miss the creamy Algerian sauce—it’s sweet, spicy, and significantly improves the taco." - Rianne Shlebak

Vauxhall Food & Beer Garden Review - Vauxhall - London - The Infatuation

"You could walk past this open-air garden under Vauxhall train arches, without realising it was even there. We know this because that’s exactly what we did when we came here. Twice. But now that we’ve warned you, we’re sure you won’t miss this really, really huge spot. Picture rows upon rows of benches, all covered with a huge tent, a resident DJ, beer, and a bunch of food vendors selling things like wagyu burgers, halloumi wraps, and—our favourite one—French Tacos. They’ve always got events on the weekends, think bottomless brunches every Saturday, drag brunch picnics, and live sports screenings, and you should book for big groups online to avoid being turned away. photo credit: Giulia Verdinelli" - Rianne Shlebak

I visited Gustitos Latinos during a cultural Peruvian festival and my experience was disappointing. I ordered the Fritada, which turned out to be the weakest dish of the day. The pork was dry, overly charred, and lacked any real flavor, it was tough to get through and I ended up throwing most of it away. The sides that came with the bowl were equally bland and did little to justify the cost. I also tried the fried plantain with cheese, hoping it might redeem the meal, but it too was lacking, no seasoning, no balance, just uninspired fair-style food. I’d suggest skipping this one, there are far better Peruvian restaurants out there worth your time and appetite.

Went for a Reggae music event. Vibe was good. Service not so great needed more staff on the bar for the drinks long queues. The Caribbean food being sold also ran out so had to wait over 2hrs for sales to restart. Need better planning on hospitality for future events. Other than that vibes was nice and the music was good.

Hidden treasure. Right at the underground station at street level is this food hall with various restaurants. Went with a group and we all were able to get something different and sit together. Seating can be tough with a large group - we had about 35 and split into a few tables in two spots. Was walking distance from Park plaza riverbank hotel!

We have been here a few times already for Tributo of Selena, Karol G, Salsa event, and Mexican Event. My favourite it was Tributo of Selena, so organised, food really good (Hamburgers) the best music with DJ Will. The other events where the kids can join us are also good, as we can enjoy, and kids can be in the bounce castle. They have different options for food and desserts.

Came for the reggae and brunch event, unlucky for us it happened to rain most of the event, so lots of people were hiding under the sheltered sections. Once the sun came back out it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. A few different bars and food bits were available, prices weren't horrendous considering we were a captive audience, and the food I had was actually fairly reasonable for the portion size you got. Toilets started off clean, but as these sorts of events go, they don't stay that way. Overall I had a good time, and this was better than I expected it to be

The vibes are immaculate, the food we got was great, although the service could use some improvement. Overall, this is a cool place to grab a drink and a bite with a group of friends - there are large tables and smaller tables both. The food can get a bit pricey but tastes pretty good, and the area is very well connected.

Good place to watch the sport. Big screen, good volume on the commentary. Only issue is service is pretty slow at the bar. (Waited 20mins when no one was there) And the drinks specials on the boards are pretty misleading.
