The Best Big Outdoor Spaces For Eating And Drinking

"You could walk past this open-air garden under Vauxhall’s railway arches, without realising it was even there. We know this because that’s exactly what we did when we came here. Twice. But now that we’ve warned you, we’re sure you won’t miss this literally huge spot. Picture rows upon rows of benches, all covered with a huge marquee roof, a resident DJ, beer, and a bunch of food vendors selling things like wagyu burgers, halloumi wraps, and - our favourite - French Tacos. They’ve always got events on the weekends, think bottomless brunches every Saturday, drag brunch picnics, and live sports screenings." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

The 6 Best Restaurants In Vauxhall - London - The Infatuation

"Inside this Tardis-like beer garden under Vauxhall Bridge, you’ll find beer taps, plenty of seating, and a number of food stalls. What you need to know is that one of these food stalls is an Algerian spot called French Tacos. Which specialises in, you guessed it, French tacos. Essentially a burrito filled with meat, chips, and melted cheese, choose from fillings like crispy chicken, minced beef, and cordon bleu. It’s the type of wedge wrap that’ll have you taking a nap afterwards, and it’s 100% worth it. Don’t miss the creamy Algerian sauce—it’s sweet, spicy, and significantly improves the taco." - Rianne Shlebak

Vauxhall Food & Beer Garden - Review - Vauxhall - London - The Infatuation

"You could walk past this open-air garden under Vauxhall train arches, without realising it was even there. We know this because that’s exactly what we did when we came here. Twice. But now that we’ve warned you, we’re sure you won’t miss this really, really huge spot. Picture rows upon rows of benches, all covered with a huge tent, a resident DJ, beer, and a bunch of food vendors selling things like wagyu burgers, halloumi wraps, and—our favourite one—French Tacos. They’ve always got events on the weekends, think bottomless brunches every Saturday, drag brunch picnics, and live sports screenings, and you should book for big groups online to avoid being turned away. photo credit: Giulia Verdinelli" - Rianne Shlebak

I went there for a soul night and the DJ set was good and there was a nice atmosphere. Soul-Full was the name of the night. They have vending machines as well as the bars and I paid £7.99 for a Moth Margarita & it got stuck in the machine. There was no one to tell and I mentioned it at the bar & the barman said there was nothing he could do, so I basically lost £7.99, which put a dampener on an otherwise good afternoon/evening.

What a fantastic beer garden! So many restaurants to choose from which makes it enjoyable for all and then you all come together with your trays and eat at your table. The food was great, as were the desserts. We went for an early dinner, but I would imagine this place would be a great place to hang out in the evening, too.

I visited Gustitos Latinos during a cultural Peruvian festival and my experience was disappointing. I ordered the Fritada, which turned out to be the weakest dish of the day. The pork was dry, overly charred, and lacked any real flavor, it was tough to get through and I ended up throwing most of it away. The sides that came with the bowl were equally bland and did little to justify the cost. I also tried the fried plantain with cheese, hoping it might redeem the meal, but it too was lacking, no seasoning, no balance, just uninspired fair-style food. I’d suggest skipping this one, there are far better Peruvian restaurants out there worth your time and appetite.

Great food, fantastic atmosphere, and an experience you’ll want to enjoy again and again!

Went for a Reggae music event. Vibe was good. Service not so great needed more staff on the bar for the drinks long queues. The Caribbean food being sold also ran out so had to wait over 2hrs for sales to restart. Need better planning on hospitality for future events. Other than that vibes was nice and the music was good.

Clumsy place. Went to watch a cricket match. Small space but loads of people, overcrowded. The TV signal went off. I won’t recommend it again.

We recently visited a company event at Garden in Vauxhall, and I have to say, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the venue impressed us with its vibrant atmosphere, spacious layout, and friendly, accommodating staff. Garden has a brilliant setup for events of all sizes — the space is large, open, and really well thought out. There’s a great party vibe throughout, with music playing, colourful décor, and a buzz that instantly lifts your spirits. The standout feature is definitely the terrace area, which provides a fantastic spot to relax, chat, and enjoy drinks under the open sky. It added a refreshing, laid-back dimension to the event and gave everyone space to breathe and mingle. The food was genuinely impressive for a venue of this nature. We had a variety of sharing platters and small bites, and everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. There was a good mix to suit different dietary needs too, which was much appreciated. The drinks menu was just as exciting — from classic cocktails to more inventive options, plus a strong selection of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic choices. The bar staff were quick, skilled, and friendly, keeping the energy up all evening. Overall, Garden Vauxhall is a fantastic venue for corporate gatherings, parties, or just a fun night out with friends. It perfectly balances a relaxed vibe with lively energy and great hospitality. We’ll definitely be returning — both for work functions and personal nights out!

Could only see half the screen of a sports match for the rugby. Don’t host sport events if you can’t host sport events as simple as that. Also very uninclusive bev and food options. DO BETTER!
