"Although Vecio Macello has retained a few unusual features on the ceiling from its former life as a meat-processing plant (such as the old pipes used to provide steam for the plant’s pasteurisation and meat preparation processes), this restaurant now has a strong focus on fish. The menu offers a selection of raw dishes and classic seafood recipes alongside a few regionally influenced meat options." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing seafood in amazing atmosphere (also great meat options available!)!! We enjoyed the food as well as good sparkling wine with perfect service :) weather we are talking about local food or wine! I have a gluten intolerance and they took care of it from A to Z and offered me all meals with a gluten free option. Perfect service for food & wine!! You can sit outside or inside, both quite cozy places! NB: My Boyfriend took normal choice... He is amazed as well! Fully recommend this place :)

We had a really great time here. The staff were all really attentive and had good recommendations. My personal from all the dishes we’ve ordered was the pasta with tuna and tuna. I would say all food was great but I am not a fan of their dessert. If I have to recommend one it would be the Baba. There’s alcohol in it so not suitable for kids.

Absolutely brilliant food and service, and a very kind and talented chef! We ordered crab salad, red prawn, seafood tagliolini, lobster ragu pacchero and Crepe Suzette. Everything was so fresh and delicate, and the Crepe Suzette was particularly memorable.

Google
amazing food with very friendly service. Highly recommend the octopus, clams pasta, lobster pasta and lamb. The chef also welcomed us with complimentary amuse bouche and dessert bites at the end.

The food was fantastic – especially the octopus, which was among the best I’ve ever had. The wine list is excellent, with a great selection. Service was friendly and professional, yet relaxed and welcoming. A truly enjoyable experience all around.

Absolutely lovely. Great staff, each and every one of them so friendly. Food was amazing. Definitely on the higher price range but totally worth it. Wine was very good as well. All in all great experience.

I was looking for a restaurant that sold oysters and found this one on line. Superb oysters to start with and an excellent sea bass dish for the main course. Also a great vegetarian dish for my wife. Excellent service and considering the quality of the food great value. You have a choice of eating inside or outside and we enjoyed some great complimentary samples.

Yelp
This place is very understaffed and you have to wait for 5minutes get your menu and 10min to order because the sever is too busy. The food is very mediocre and the size is crazily small with the price. We ordered the catalana which costs 28 euro and it's only 5 tiny shrimps on top of 5 tomato, a few slices of onion and celery and lettuce. 28 euro for a pure vegetable salad plus 5 shrimps? When I talked to the sever about our dissatisfaction, he said that oh because we don't understand??? How rude! This place is not worth going at all. New edit: when I leave the review on google map look what the sever reply to me. AAAAND. They removed my review. How well did they handled the customer dissatisfaction! By mocking them not used to a certain price point? I have traveled to so many different places and are at restaurants way more expensive than them. When I express my opinions about the food, a good restaurant would take that as a feedback not mocking customers for "not used to the price level". HA! Please avoid this place.

Yelp
Didn't expect Verona to be the culinary highlight of the trip. Was intrigued by the out of the way location and the 5 star rating, even if there were only 9 reviews. Mine is the 10th & I am giving 10 stars...from me and wife. I can't emphasize how little she cares for Italian wine, poultry or desserts. However she (we) consumed all & more very enthusiastically. The owner is also a fun & funny personable host. Best so far on our foodcation.

Yelp
Do NOT miss out on this place!! The best fish I have yet in Italy!! As well, the service and ambiance were second to none. We order a scallop appetizer then had a large fish entree for three! Priced so well and a taste we will not forget! I'll be back again !! And again!!

Yelp
Best pasta I've had in a long time. Hands down. We had the crudités plate (raw seafood) and three pastas (smoked sword fish carbonara, lobster ragout, and the one with sea bass, tomatoes, olives and dill). All were outstanding, especially the sea bass one. The food was way better than the one star Michelin restaurant we ate at the night before. Would go back to Verona just to eat there again.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by our hotel Corte Ongaro and what a wonderful recommendation it was. The service was superb and the meal as well. Their were four of us dining. From the wine recommendation to the dessert everything was amazing. We ordered the fish and having them filet it table side was definitely a nice touch. Definitely visit this restaurant if you're in Verona you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to return to try some of their other amazing dishes. The structure of the restaurant was also amazing as the staff gave us a history of how it came to be. I sadly didn't take much pictures as I was fully submerged in the dining experience

Yelp
Not exactly on the tourist map but excellent service and ridiculously good food. I had the seared tuna and golden fried prawns (long day at the conference, I was hungry so sue me!). The waiter paired a local wine for me. One of the best meals I have had in Italy.

Yelp
We loved it! Three courses, seared scallops, Amarone wine sauce risotto, and sea bass. Two glasses of Valpolicella and a lot of patience from our two year old and the staff on his behalf.

Yelp
We had one of the best seafood meals of our lives: a 16 (!) course seafood tasting menu (at 35 Euros per person) was an incredible experience of flavors and textures. I was not able to finish everything. Lovely and attentive service. If you don't want the tasting menu, there are lots of dishes between 10 and 18 Euros. I had the house white wine that matched the meal very nicely. We will definitely make this our destination every time we come back to Verona.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem, far from the touristy part of town. The service was amazing and food was incredible! You get a very fancy meal for a great price! My friend and I shared the ravioli stuffed with wine braised beef which was the best ravioli I have tasted. Then, I had the beef filet with truffles and Venetian wine sauce. Very tender and great flavor! In the relatively cheap coperto, they provided bread and small cookies for dessert. Well worth it, and will go again!
