This was my first time trying Vegan Mexican food at Veegos and I really enjoyed it! They sell plant-based versions of all the classic Mexican foods, from tacos, to burritos and nachos, and more! They have various options for protein meat-substitutes, including jackfruit, pastor, and soy-rizo and potatoes, with my favorite being the spicy soyrizo and potatoes. My favorite item that I tried was the Cashew Cheese Nachos (first time trying vegan cheese as well), which come in a HUGE portion and can easily be shared or multiple meals. Here’s what I ordered: -Nachos (Cashew Cheese with Spicy Soyrizo and Potatoes) $17 -Taco plate with Pastor $14 -Enchilada Plate with Jackfruit $13 I am not sure if it’s the healthiest food but it was definitely good 😂

I am shocked at how good the food is. I always found vegan food to be so-so but this is really delicious. The place is bright and clean. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the quality is good and portions are decent. Sometimes they have specials that come with a drink (love the horchata!) and that’s even better. I love the jackfruit flautas, nachos, and cauliflower tacos!

The food is delicious the service is fast and friendly. The ambience is good. In a strip centre just off Sam Houston Parkway in midst of the international district ample parking. The menu is chuffed with Tex-Mex favourites all vegan. This food is worth leaving the loop. The food inspired with little twist on a standard that makes this worth the trip the prices are reasonable . I had a Michelada garnished with cucumber was excellent. The nachos were amazing chuffed with multiple toppings . This is a first choice

I came here to eat Mexican vegan which is the first time I have ever heard of this. I can't say more about how amazing the food was the atmosphere and the customer service. The place was very clean. All the tables were an order. Everything looked organized and the cashier was very friendly and helped me understand the various aspects of the menu. The food was delicious, very tasty and also had an pure mexican authenticness that was very appealing. I will be back. This was a great quiet spot a shown in my videos. Additionally, the price of the food was very reasonable and I ate well for under twenty five dollars.

I'm not vegan, so I couldn't imagine how I could love Mexican food without cheese. This place DELIVERS on flavor and traditional plates. The jackfruit tamales are delicious and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back!

Came here the night of a car meet called Neomeets on Instagram. Not normally big on Vegan food but this has got me seriously looking at it now. Had the pork type of food and it was fantastic, along with chips & salsa that was mild. They’ve got a ton of options which is refreshing considering normally you’re limited on your choices. Definitely a top tier business and I’ll happily come here again on a date or otherwise. Truly impressed with the quality and I’ll be sure to mention this spot in the future.

Definitely will come back, the online ordering system was very straightforward and easy. When I got inside someone kindly directed me to the online orders cart as I’m sure they recognized I was lost. So very good! I tried a bowl with black beans, jackfruit (which I never had before), poblano and mushrooms lettuce cilantro and onion. Also with a side of curly fries. The taste of the bowl reminded me of Sweet Greens in its freshness. Interesting I got that same kind of feeling as they’re both vegan restaurants.

I love this place. Especially the vegan nachos. They are a whole meal that you can share in a date. I got the works on mine. Guacamole, potato chorizo, pico de gallo, rajas, mushrooms, cashew sour cream, and more. It was delicious!!!

Wow, this is an absolutely incredible vegan restaurant from top to bottom in every way. It's a counter service place in a strip mall with plenty of parking and the inside is bright and beautiful with plenty of seating. The vibe is casual. The guy helping me was extraordinarily nice and helpful, he gave me so much information about the menu and gave me samples of all the proteins, all of which were delicious. I decided to go with his recommendation of the burrito bowl with the mushroom protein and it was *chefs kiss.* and CHEAP. The portions were huge and it was already reasonably priced at like $11 but it ended up being $10 because it was discounted before 3pm. My meal also came with a FREE DRINK with FREE REFILLS. What?!? Unheard of! I got the vegan horchata and it was so creamy, sweet and delicious, tasted just like a regular horchata. The burrito bowl was so good, perfect proportions of rice to protein to toppings and sauce. The veggies were crisp and fresh, sauces creamy and spicy and the protein tasted just like meat. (If I remember correctly how meat tastes lol.) This place is a good distance from me but I will be happy to make the drive in the future to get some of this delicious food. The owners and employees clearly take a lot of pride in this place and it shows. By far the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to.

Overall a great vegan restaurant in the area. The overall vibe is very similar to a chipotle but more pricey and everything is vegan! I wish it was closer to me so I could return but I am rarely in this area. I ordered the nachos based on reviews from other yelpers. Although nachos are listed as an appetizer, they are huge and very filling. Love the variety of options here. The workers allowed to taste test all the fake meat options and even offered to do half one meat and half another meat. Overall the nachos were tasty, but the sauces were on the sour end. I had enough leftovers for another meal to take home.

I was engaging in a vegetarian based fast and decided to try a few restaurants that catered to this lifestyle. Veegos was one of the spots on my list. I headed over there for lunch one day and was a bit giddy upon my arrival. Upon my entrance I was instantly greeted by a friendly lady who while multitasking did not miss a beat in making me feel welcome. I asked for a few recommendations, sampled some of the products, and landed on the nachos. Mine were topped with black and chili beans, corn relish, salsas, and poblano and mushroom. Everything was fresh but something was sweet to my palate, perhaps the cashew cheese. The cashew cheese is squeezed on top of the final product. I wanted to love the taste but it just wasn't for my buds. I guess I can't them all.

Delicious food and friendly service! My friend and I ate lunch there today and enjoyed it thoroughly. We split the taco plate and a veggie burger with French fries. The taco plate has 3 tacos and you choose the proteins. We had one of each: soyrizo, cauliflower and poblano. They were all scrumptious and the plate came with rice and beans!! The veggie burger was very good but compared to the tacos it was hard to focus on! Fries were hot and yummy. The Aguas frescas were ALL delicious!!! So hard to choose just one. I landed on watermelon and my friend tamarindo. What a wonderful lunch!!!

This is second time coming to this vegan restaurant! I like the vibe of this place and it reminds me of modern Mexican place due to the paintings and decorations of the restaurant! There are some amazing options available but I like the nachos the best because of the great quantity and quality as well! Price is $11.50 and they give you content amount if you don't get an extra side dish like beans and guacamole as they cost additional $0.50. It's nice place to dine with your family and friends. It depends on their business but they can occupy about 40 people inside and 10 on the outside. Come for those who wanna eat good vegan Mexican foods! Lovely vegan service! :) Cheers

Food here is better than my grandmother's!! Atmosphere is super inviting and fun and customer service is great! I love how quick the service is here and I don't mind driving 20-30 minutes just for a good meal to get here. Food is seasoned well and tastes extremely authentic! Love love LOVE this place and the variety of vegan proteins offered everything is fresh and the nondairy horchata was even better than my own attempt

Been here many years and the food is consistently delicious!!! Absolutely love love love the nachos!!! They also give great service! Been recommending this restaurant to many of our friends who are not vegans and they love it too! We don't live in Texas any more but whenever we are in Houston we have to get the nachos from Veegos!!!

Veegos by far is one of the best Vegan food places on the planet! Everything they make is delicious and it makes you question if you're actually eating vegan food. The service is amazing, but at this point they know me by name because I'm in there so much. I go at least twice a week...AT LEAST! They even have taco Tuesday! My favorite meal there is Everything. The chili cheese fries are the best thing to get without having to think about what you want. They literally DO NOT MISS on the chili cheese fries. My favorite protein is the spicy soyrizo and potatoes. You can put that on quesadillas, tacos, tortas, nachos, add it to the chili cheese fries, anything, and it's going to be goodt! The first time I went to this place my food was so good by the time I went to take a picture it was all gone. Then I went back the next day and did the same thing. If you're newly vegan or vegetarian be cautious eating here, you might get addicted!

Finally had the opportunity to try the authentic vegan Mexican restaurant on Westheimer and I'm so glad I did. It's next to Salata down the street from Target. I ordered the taco plate with 2 jackfruit and pastor, black beans and rice on corn. Taste like a regular street taco. It was so good. I also decided to try the Jalapeño beyond burger with vegan Gouda cheese and fries and it was sooo good. The ketchup was spicy as well. I loved every bite I took a pic half way through my meal. I will be returning. Service was fair about a 15 minute wait and plenty of inside and outside seating. You have to give this place a try.

Excellent food. Friendly service. Loved the Mexican entrees made vegan. Jack fruit and soyrizo are delicious.

My friend is a vegetarian so I'm always excited to try new cusines with her. They only have a few tables which are spread out on each side of the restaurant. Counter service only. They were out of jackfruit so sadly couldn't try the flautas. I opted for the enchilada where you can pick your protein. I got the barbacoa, pepper and portobello and another one that was spicy. The plate was $15 and comes with choice of beans and rice. I was excited they had mole which I don't see much in Texas. The food was fine, but I felt like the portions were pretty small for the price. Left hungry and was disappointed some of their key ingredients were not available.

Upon entrance of this spot you feel the Mexican culture from the decor to the music and of course the food, you won't be disappointed! The staff is great! They are helpful and friendly and the food is delicious. You get a taste of authentic vegan Mexican for via VEEGOS!! Oh and sit inside so you can watch the videos and the music is amazing! This spot if not close to my house but I'm glad I got a chance to visit and I'll definitely return again. Thanks guys for an AWESOME experience.

Very good, tasty food. It's cold in that place but better than the heat outside. Definitely try the Jack Fruit tacos. Very good. They also have natural juices which great as well. Good service. Great playlist there while eating.

Not to be confused with Vag-Os, which are what I often give Barbi. Pretty amazing vegan place, and I'm not really into vegan food even though I'm definitely a vegan often enough, just not all the time, but this is one of the better ones out there and I definitely appreciate it on many levels Definitely a very good vegetarian restaurant if ever there was one, and it's not cheap but vegan places usually aren't - it gets five stars for me.

Food is not worth the drive. Service was terrible, they messed up my very simple order, took forever to correct their mistake and made me feel unwelcome but they were Offaly friendly and welcoming to those that speak Spanish.

*5/5 Vegan Mexican Restaurant* I am truly obsessed with Veegos! The pastor tacos are my favorite but honestly EVERYTHING is great! They genuinely taste like meat and they're flawless each time. The food is full of flavor, filling, and very reasonable.

Vegan + Mexican?? Gotta try this out! This is a great addition to the vegan community. Flavor was there, quantity was 'not too much, not too little'. Order is like Chipotle style, served in paper plates. Employees were knowledgeable and patient in explaining their popular items. I enjoyed that it didn't taste so veggie. Thinking that the sauces and spice mixes did a great job here. Overall, curious what the vegan community think about this! Keeping an eye here for better understanding!

The ambiance is very festive. The Service is good, and the food is excellent. This was the first time I've tried vegan Mexican Food, and I was not disappointed. I ordered the torta plate, and every bite I took improved. I'll come back here and patronize his business.

I love the concept of Veegos. All of their food is fresh, tasty, & unique. Their nachos are my favorite. I recently tried the torta and it was so much food! Worth every bite. You have to try the Horchata & rice pudding. The food comes out fast whether you're dining in or doing take out. Cool spot off Westheimer. Highly recommend for yummy Mexican inspired vegan dishes.

I am honestly shocked by the positive reviews. This is some of the worst Mexican vegan food I've ever had. Maybe people who like eating here have never been to Mexico. The proteins were insanely salty without any texture. The beens and rice were bland with zero flavor. The worst part was paying four dollars extra for crema and queso and they were both the consistency and flavor of water. Oh yeah and the horchata was like drinking pure sugar. When I asked the cashier what he recommended he said didn't eat any of the food there. Now I know why.

I love Mexican food. I grew up eating Mexican food. It's usually not exactly health food, though. I heard about this restaurant a few years ago, but I didn't know the name. So I asked Yelp, and it Veegos came up. It's a nice restaurant... spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, and the food and drinks are really good. I ordered a taco plate. The first one had poblano peppers, the second had spicy soy, the third had jackfruit. It came with rice and beans. Hubby ordered a bowl, with poblanos, rice and beans. Then the drinks. They have horchata. Usually I hate horchata, as it's sickeningly sweet. This was made with almond milk and cinnamon... delicious. They also have lemonade, green tea, tamarind drink, watermelon and Jamaica. It's worth the trip just for the drinks! But the food is delicious, they give good portions, and it's filling. Want Mexican food, but also want healthy food? Go to Veegos!

Babaaaaaay....sooooooo good and im usually not a fan of vegan cheeses. Definitely a recommend!!! Definitely will be back for that pastor!!!

The BEST Mexican food I've had (sorry Gma) We had also got their nachos & they make them right in-front of you so you get to choose everything you want on them (which is always a plus). I'd recommend this place for everyone vegan or not!

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but have been wanting to try this place and they had good reviews. Being so close to my house we popped in one evening for dinner and they were out of jackfruit which was very disappointing. The food we did try was meh at best, I do probably have a more critical opinion because I eat meat!! Not my style, won't return

Love that there is a full vegan restaurant with lots of options for all. They have brunch on the weekends too. Check the pictures. Overall delicious.

Wow this place is good. I tried the quesadilla plate with jackfruit and it was delicious. Super filling, and I didn't even miss the meat. I was greeted right as I walked in and the workers were really nice. They even suggested a couple of items to me. Also got my food within 5 minutes. I got my food to go, but I liked the general vibe inside. Would totally be comfortable to dine-in if I wanted to. I don't normally eat vegan, but I will definitely be returning to try the other dishes on the menu.

The Mushroom and Peppers would have probably tasted better if I had some actual Mushrooms on it. There was maybe 4 baby pieces of mushrooms and an overload on the peppers. Even the taco's didn't really have any mushrooms either. Hopefully they fix this for the next person especially for a $14 plate. Thank you

Had to go four stars due to an issue with ordering and covid protocols not being followed. Food itself is delicious. I popped in on my way in to town to visit family (both quarantined). After being in the car for 4 hours and getting in late in the evening, I scoured vegan places near my destination and Veegos seemed to fit the bill. Vegan and tasty looking! I orders through the Yelp app bc when I called they said they don't take orders over the phone and to place the order online. Great. Ordered a tostada and the chili cheese fries. Got to the restaurant to see everyone wearing the half mask look (no noses covered by employees). I get that it's hard to wear a mask all day but we are in a pandemic and you are working at a restaurant. So when I do get to the counter the staff is confused bc they never got the order. In fact, they don't even do grub hub orders (which is how Yelp places them). Weird but fine. So I place the order in store and wait. I also have to pay again and call grub hub for a refund. Highly inconvenient. Finally the food comes out and I get home. The cheese fries are legit. The chili is hearty and the vegan cashew cheese satisfies. The tostada is loaded with fresh veggies and awesome as well. All in all a good spot if they clean up some processes and technology issues.

Food was tasty and the customer service was on point. The establishment is very clean and quiet. I would go back.

FUCKING AMAZINGGGG ‼‼‼ Firstly, I forgot to take pics of my food apparently?? So sorry there's no pics for reference here. Prior to coming here, I didn't really seek out vegan restaurants even though I've been a vegetarian for years. As a latinx girlie, I have been craving a good latinx vegan/vegetarian place which is why I ran to tiktok to look up vegan restaurants in Houston. I found that previous customers raved about the food (especially the nachos) and I just had this urge to go, like I just knew the food was gonna be good.. ANDDD holy shit, you guys did not disappoint !! The food is so good. I went with a friend that has never had vegan food before, and they loved it as well (she's also a bit picky so I think her loving this place also speaks volumes). I also took my mother on another occasion, who is also not vegan, and she loved it as well. Everyone here was so nice, and asked me how we liked everything after we finished. We ended up talking for a bit and I just got good vibes overall from everyone there !! They had some Selena songs playing that day.. MY WIFEEEEE !! Loved that~ The portions are biiiggg, which we love in this household !! I'm a big girlie and I was not able to finish my food, so I took it home annnddd it was still so good the next day WOO !! I feel like alot of people claim vegan food gets expensive, and I have to say that with veegos that is not the case at all. Even if someone thinks the pricing is higher than non vegan places, I believe the big portions make up for that. (Some places charge even more for way less food sooo..) ALSO the free refills?!? YEAHHHHHH, we stan veegos. The only downside is that there's other businesses in front that semi-block veegos which is why I totally never saw you guys before, even though I go to the area quite often. I say we demolish the other businesses so everyone can see veegos clearly (i'm just joking guys) I also hope you guys drop vegan birria tacos some day!! I don't recall it being on the menu, and I truly feel like you guys would make some great vegan birria tacos~ Anyways, basically what I'm saying is that this place is delicious and everyone should try it regardless if they're vegan or not. Shout out to the owners for coming up with such delicious vegan food !! I hope your business continues to grow and thrive !! P.S shoutout to the employee that told me I look like I would love Daiso... because they're so right, I do love Daiso. That's the main reason I go to the area hahahah... except now I'll go more often for veegos

wow, what a score...the friendliest staff and an incredible deal of three vegan tacos on Tuesday night for $6. The dessert was heavenly as well.

My fiancé and I have been checking our vegan restaurant "bucket list" and last night we go to check this place off of the list. Warning, this place is a little pricy for what feels like "fats food" but we are finding a lot of vegan restaurants tend to cost a little more. We ended up with the taco plate (pastor, sourizo & potato and jackfruit) with the cashew cheese on the side and the mole flautas. Psssst, the soyrizo has a kick too it, you've been warned! The customer service was great. The two employees were friendly and helpful answering our questions and recommending things to try. LOVE this because customer service is in the crapper these days. The food, tasted good and hit the spot. The food presentation (least important) however, was served on a paper plate. For the prices you pay for the food, you should get a plate that can be reused instead of throwing all these plates away and not having a recycle option. Anyways! We'd come again if we are back in the area! Encourage you to try it out!

Best nachos in Houston. Everything is excellent and the prices are good. Tortas, flautas and desserts are fantastic.

Veegos just doesn't miss. I am not vegan myself but tear up the pastor bowl. I got this one with poblano and mushrooms as well and it's DELICIOUS! The juice is also amazing. A must try

Disclaimer: I am a meat (and veggie) lover who has to go dairy-free. The dairy-free queso options I've tried at the grocery stores just was NOT cutting it. So, I stopped by here recently, trying to curb my cheese craving. Had nachos with: soyrizo and chili and beans as my 2 protein options and cashew cheese. The chips were thick and crispy. The protein options were so flavorful and the nachos were drizzled vs drenched with queso, so I can't really speak to the queso. I DEVOURED those nachos. I also tried mole fries, I'd give those a 7/10, I'd recommend you try them but I probably wouldn't get it again. I also had a fried cauliflower taco, which IMO was the weakest of the 3 items I ordered. The cauliflower was fried perfectly, but the dish lacked any special flavor -- especially after those nachos. The aqua fresca I tried was fantastic. I also finished off my kids' bean and cheese taco (I'm a piggy). The tortillas were delicious! My husband was rested a bowl. I didn't try it but the portion was significant. Price was appropriate for the food niche and the portion sizes made up for it. The wall mural was great, restaurant clean and bright, and the folx helpful. I wouldn't say it is (young) kid-friendly but it isn't unfriendly either. That's to say, the tv was playing arguably inappropriate music videos; and, while there were no boosters but there were high chairs.

100% Vegan establishment !! One of my favorite places to support Food is delicious and customer service is always on point. I recommended saving room for dessert. The Red Velvet Cupcake and cake are a must try.

I have not tired this place I accidentally posted a review for horrible touchy tacos here which is dirty slimy incompetent mange my on wilcrest and smells like dead rats at Torches tacos not this place

Writing up this review makes me SO SAD! (In a good way) I can't believe it's taken us this long to make it out to Veegos! (insert sad crying emoji!) We've had Veegos food truck at events and venues but not at their beautifully, awesomely, fabulously, fantastic location! But, I guess, better late than never! Ok, ok, onto the review! Phenomenal Experience! We absolutely loved our food and loved the vibe! Blesses our hearts to see great people and a great organization thrive in the Vegan Market! We had: -Nachos (hooked up!) -Mole Fries with Al Pastor My Lawd! So good, highly recommend, 100%, fire! Yum! Can't wait to go back! Can't wait to take the family! COVID Notes -Indoor & Outdoor seating available. -Masks were not required; staff wore masks. -Customer service was delightful, safe, and helpful -Ordering was effortless & smooth -No issues at all. Thank you so much, Veegos, for being Vegan!

It's a very cool vegan place with beautiful art on its wall. Very healthy food, loved it. The stomach felt very light and nice after eating the food. The staff is very sweet and helpful!
