One star because the place is beautiful and they Sell good products, the second because people were friendly and easy to talk to, and the third for the good haircut and amazing head rub I got from Renee during my shampoo. I felt like she really listened to what I wanted and also was talkative and offered suggestions when asked. I appreciate that in a hairstylist, because lord knows I'm not an expert.
The two stars off are because my appointment was for 1 o'clock. I did not get a booking confirmation, but whatever. I called to confirm, it was fine. Then, half hour later I got a call from the salon asking if I would mind moving my appointment back until two. Well, I don't live in the city, so I made a special trip, and I'm not gonna reschedule for another day and make the drive. But it's an hour, no big deal. I get to the salon at 2:05 (parking was a nightmare, and they don't validate, $4 an hour or $20 flat). They say, your stylist isn't ready, just finishing up with someone else. No big deal I say, good thing I'm late.
30 minutes later the stylist is finally ready, but the workspace is still covered in the previous clients hair. Kind of gnarly, but I'm not picky. Then I proceed to get the longest haircut in the history of mankind. No color, nothing complicated. My hair, by all accounts, is boring. One length cut. It was so long but I had to go out to my meter with my hair wet and feed it again. The stylist offered to have someone go out and feed it for me, which I thought was nice, but then returned when no one was available and sent me out on my way all wet to ring up another $8.
Around five I finally made it out, had to forgo the final blowout and dry and leave with frizzy 80% dry hair because I had a meeting that I couldn't miss and I didn't want to go out and feed the meter a third time. So, overall, good quality, no punctuality. Sorry Renee, half of your tip went to extra time on the meter.
