The 17 Best Restaurants For Lunch In Downtown LA

"This tiny takeout window will remind you of the fast food joint you likely grew up on, except no cows were harmed in the making your lunchtime burger. Located inside a food court, Vegan Hooligans specializes in vegan remakes of fast food classics that rival their originals, like a stacked bacon cheeseburger with chipotle mayo, and a "crunchwrap" stuffed with ground soyrizo and "not-cho" cheese. Drop by the next time you need a fantastic plant-based lunch. " - nikko duren, brant cox, sylvio martins

Vegan Hooligans Review - Downtown LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Everything about Vegan Hooligans, a tiny takeout window inside a Downtown food court, will remind you of some fast food joint you likely grew up on. There’s a “Filet No Fish Burger,” carne asada fries, and even a Crunchwrap filled with ground soyrizo. All of their plant-based remakes rival the fast food originals, and we consistently leave here wanting to tell everyone we know about it. Drop by the next time you need a solid lunch spot downtown, or check out their to find out where their food truck will be popping up next." - Nikko Duren

I had an amazing experience at Vegan Hooligans in downtown LA! I tried their Bacon Cheese Burger, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, the ‘bacon’ had a great smoky taste, and the texture was perfect. It’s not easy to find a plant-based burger that satisfies like this one does! The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming. Definitely a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a tasty vegan meal in LA. I’ll be back for sure!

First I tried them in with their food truck in a music festival in Las Vegas and I knew i had to try their home base restaurant. I cannot believe it tastes like all the hamburgers I've tried that are red meat. This BBQ Western Burger tasted the same and it's 100% Vegan!!! The seasoned fries definitely complemented the hamburger. The fruit drink I ordered was so refreshing. I finished my whole meal in one sitting. I am so glad I went inside to give Vegan burgers a try. The food court has plenty of seating for one to dine in. I'm definitely returning to try their breakfast sandwich next time I'm in DTLA.

One of my favorite breakfast spots to go to in downtown LA. I love their breakfast menu and the tater tots were very crispy. I wasn’t expecting them to be crunchy because sometimes tater tots are soft or soggy. But I think vegan hooligans serves some of the best tots and bagel sandwiches!!!

I do recommend coming here for the burgers or melts. The carne asada fries are 3.7/5 a bit to soggy form my taste | the burger 5/5 definitely worth trying| taco 3.5. Not bad not good. Seems like a great place with friendly staff. Overall I would rate it 3.9/5

I really liked Vegan Hooligans! It's located in an open concept food court with plenty of seating. I got carne asada fries, an Oreo shake and the 4/20 burrito (not pictured.) My favorite was the burrito but the shake was very tasty (not very thick, but the whipped cream was amazing and the flavor was incredible) and the fries were very tasty! I gave it a 4 because the fries were good but they weren't the best vegan fries I've ever had. I recommend trying though, it was very tasty!

Great plant burgers, western with extra lettuce, tomato, onion and chick-un burger. We asked for sourdough bread instead of a bun and it was not a problem for them to do. Thank you, next time I'll try these wings. All looks tempting and tasty.

Google
Located in a small food court on an alley of Los Angeles Street, Vegan Hooligans focuses on burgers and Mexican food - - all plant-based, vegan of course. I tried the "carne" asada burrito (see photos) filled with bean-curd based "meat", rice, beans, grilled vegetables and guacamole. (I had them hold the chipotle mayo.) It was delicious.

The original Wake n Bacon Burger is the best burger I have ever had. 🤩 Went again and had it, definitely confirmed it's the best burger ever! Also had the carne asada burrito, highly recommend!, Highly recommend!
