Vegan To-Go

Here we go for all my vegan lovers. This place is all the way vegan. And had various dishes you can enjoy. They are cool menu that have a lot of favorites that you may know and love. Down to earth flavors that jump out at you when you bite down into the food. Upon going there the first time, I had only the drink. Had to make it my mission to order the next time, and I did. I have the chicken and waffles, and I fell in love. This place is a must go if you are vegan or would like to try something new.

Great oyster mushroom sandwich! The bread is so soft and the mushroom is crispy and seasoned well. I also like the side salad and house ranch. Only thing I have tried so far. Customer service is great they will text you and let you know when your order is ready.

Found Vegan to go a few months ago and have visited a few times. Each time the customer service is excellent and the food has been consistently fresh and delicious. My go-tos are the Mushroom bites(sauce on the side) and the cheeseburger has a great grilled flavor. Really impressed and happy about this restaurant and glad to support a local black owned business. My only disappointment is they do stop serving 30 minutes before close. Which is understandable but it wasnt posted and I drove across town on one of those occasions arriving at 645 and had to be turned away. Had I known I would have placed my order enroute. So just be aware, the crew was apologetic and I've returned at a later time since then and had another great experience. Keep up the amazing Vegan options!

Love this place. Staff is wonderful and friendly. They have amazing vegan chicken and waffles! The waffles are huge and super fluffy and light. Chicken is perfectly fried and has the best dipping sauce! We also have had the gluten free mac and cheese, which we also enjoyed.

I always order the Buffalo Bites 2 orders at a time. Always good never an issue. I placed my same order today and was disappointed because they had been fried to long. I tried adding the sauce it no go. I don't know what happened today but, I'll be bck.

Well this is my second time having this wonderful lady cooking, and omg it’s some of the BEST vegan chilli I’ve ever ate. My 4 year old who is NOT a vegan tore this up! We drive two hours from High Point NC to this farmers market location and she does NOT disappoint! She is sweet, friendly, and love sharing samples! This second time around I ordered macaroni and jambalaya, I can’t wait to eat those. She was so sweet to my children she even gave them a free slice of cake. I wish we would have known about her when she was in the restaurant, but for now we will continue to drive for this 💜 The best part is with the chilli I add my 4 year old Ella Olla vitamins in them, and she don’t even know it. The chilli is full of veggies so it’s super good for my daughter 💙 She deserves 10 stars.

Ordered some UberEATS while on our vacation. We ordered the jambalaya with vegan GF sausage, GF black bean chili, beyond burger with fries, raspberry pineapple lemonade, Thai mango lemonade and lemon berry pound cake. Unfortunately we devoured the burger and jambalaya before I could get pictures lol. Everything was great and definitely would order again. We're saving the chili for later and the cake I couldn't finish because I was full from the burger. Burger reminded me of a delicious hamburger and this cake was hard to see how it was vegan. Excellent.

OMG the breakfast wrap, carrot cake & mac and cheese was so good!! The chili was the best I've ever had! The service was top notch. Absolutely 5 stats!

Three words - BREAKFAST ALL DAY I love any place that gives you an option for breakfast for dinner. Not to mention this place is vegan. I stopped by here after a workout class for lunch(brunch) and was gladly welcomed by the staff that explained everything. I left with a breakfast wrap and a side of rice and brown gravy. Let's get into this wrap tho - 10/10. I should have gotten two. It has hash browns, vegan eggs, vegan cheese & beyond meat sausage. It comes with salsa for dipping. The hash browns were crispy and not soggy with grease, the eggs were fluffy, the sausage was crumbled and added a great flavor. I was concerned the cheese would have a weird after taste but it didn't. Even if you aren't vegan, you should try this! Tip: order in advance. I did have to wait 10 or so minutes for my order but there were 2 door dashers that drove up for pick up while I was waiting.

MY FAVORITE VEGAN RESTAURANT!!!! The food is always flavorful and tasty!!! And it's ALL VEGAN!!! I love to support a small black business!! Give it a try you will not be disappointed!!

After seeing this place as an option in Uber Eats, I was excited to give it a try. I ordered the Crispy Fried Chx Tenders (side of fries), an order of the mac and cheeze and a slice of sweet potato spice cake. The tenders had good seasoning but the texture was just plain chewy and hard to eat. I don't know what they use (seitan, soy curls, mushrooms) but it felt like eating flavored plastic so I gave up on them. However the fries were a hit had a wonderful crisp on the outside and were still piping hot despite the time it took to get delivered. Mac and cheeze had an amazing rich and creamy sauce and would definitely be a repeat order. Interesting choice to use penne rather than elbow macaroni, but I guess food has to grow up at some point :) The sweet potato cake was also a winner winner (just not the chx dinner). My guess is this was an off-day but the accompaniments were so great, I would give this place another shot and perhaps order the burger or jamabalaya.

Affordable and delicious vegan chocolate chip cookies that are made fresh daily! Excellent service too.

After an appointment and running around completing errands, I was trying to figure out what I wanted for lunch. I'm pescatarian so I can't just go anywhere. If I eat meat, of course it's plant based. I was not too far from the area and said why not let's try it. I've been to Renaldo's in the area so I'd seen Vegan to go but never had it. Immediately greeted by the lady at the register and ordered the quarter pound burger (no onion, tomatoes or special sauce) that comes with crinkles fries and I got a side of BBQ sauce. There is no seating into the location of course that's why it's called to go lol. The cashier was nice enough to ask what color was my vehicle and once my order was complete, she brought it out to my car to me. That was a major plus and I truly appreciated that. My order was closed with a sealed tamper sticker in which I loved but I had to take a peek before pulling off to make sure it's right bc I don't live in that area. When I got home, I immediately washed my hands and got to eating. Let me just tell you man oh man, it was delicious. It already smelled good driving home but to actually taste it. I'm in no way disappointed. The crinkled fries were well seasoned. The burger was juicy and flavorful. It's rare that I eat all of my food, and let's just say I left just a few fries lol. I'm already plotting the next time I'll go but I'll definitely be back. The prices aren't bad at all for vegan/plant based food which can be get expensive when purchasing it on your own. The only thing I'd say is I wished that The strawberry lemonade was a little sweet but it's still delicious.

First of the service was amazing! The oyster mushroom sandwich was delicious. It was a hike home so I ate in my car. Dee's made me feel like I fixed this in my own kitchen. The mango lemonade hit the spot! My order was ready ahead of schedule too! Yep, I'll be back! Nicest staff ever!

Ermagherrrrd, if you haven't been here yet: go! If you you have, bet you keep coming back. Dees has become my go-to spot for guilty-but-not-guilty indulgence. Their breakfast sandwich and cookies have become a weekly treat. I also love their "chicken ramen". Nothing I've ordered has disappointed. I have yet to actually dine-in here, so I can only vouch for the delivery experience--just the food itself. And to me, that's what matters. I'm beyond grateful for drool-worthy vegan spots like Dees, which make Charlotte feel more like home.

The Carolina Chick'n Sandwich was SOO good! I wanted to take a before picture but it smelled so good I couldn't wait.

When I went during opening hours .. door was open but business was not taking orders. Not sure what happen but it sucked to drive so far and then get nothing .. they were also answering the phone just to hang it up.

I finally got a chance to try this spot out. It was soooo good. Tastes better than a whopper. The fries were seasoned well too. They've made a new customer out of me. Y'all need to check this place out.

I've been here twice already and love it! Great food and ok prices. I first came here a few weeks ago and got their fried oyster mushrooms with spiced cake on the side. Yummy! Couldn't tell it was vegan. Had to come back here and try something different. Yesterday got burger with some type of special sauce, fries, mac n cheese and cookies. Everything was good except the mac. Lacked flavor, but the other items made up for it. Definitely try this place out. Remember, no dine in. Take out only.

Got the Mac & Cheese and Chikn Sandwich, so delicious. Everyone in there was so nice and the food was ready very quick. Great for a quick lunch!

Loved this spot! I will definitely be back. The service was great and the food was delicious. It's made to order so it was fresh. I had the fried mushroom sandwich and it was so crispy and seasoned. The only feedback I would give for this particular meal is if you're a sauce person ask for extra ranch because I feel like I got MAYBE a teaspoon of the avocado ranch on my sandwich which was a bit disappointing because it seemed fantastic.

Like the name says, the food is to go. However there is a picnic table near the parking lot so that's nice. They have great oyster mushrooms - cooked to perfection! The desserts are also amazing.

Fantastic vegan spot! Chili cheeze fries are my go to. They use Beyond products which I prefer. Take out only. The area is a little sketchy but totally worth it!

I would have given 5 stars if not for the mac and cheeze! The sauce itself was tasty but really soupy and the noodles were overcooked. The fries I had were fresh and crispy and the cake was AMAZING!

Visiting from Houston TX and we accidentally ended up at Dee's... so glad we did! Lots of menu options. Decent prices. The chili was AMAZING and the fries were hot and fresh. Go visit them!!

PLEASE BE AWARE!!! Dee, the owner I'm assuming, is EXTREMELY rude and does not care about the safety of her customers personal payment information.. I had two attempted charges for "Dee's Vegan To-Go" pop up on my CashApp. I keep this card locked at all times so the transaction was declined. I Google'd the establishment because I was unfamiliar with it, as I live in Florida and evidently this establishment is located in North Carolina. I called and told the lady that several attempts to charge my card were made just moments before my call and I wanted to know if the person was physically there with the card or attempting an online order, she responded by saying she doesn't know and that has nothing to do with her and I need to contact my bank. While I do know that I would need to contact my card provider and order a new one, if the person that is using a clone of my card is there in person then it would be nice to know so that law enforcement could be contacted and this person could be detained. She again responded by saying that she can't ask the customers that are standing in front of her if they're using a stolen credit card.. Lol. While I wouldn't recommend for her to do that and I'm pretty sure that's common sense, she could've asked what the transaction amount was or asked the customers to see the physical card and a copy of the ID, etc. She didn't seem too concerned that someone was attempting to use a stolen credit card at her establishment, which if approved, would result in a chargeback to her business once I dispute. Her lack of concern or investigation leads me to believe that it's possible she KNOWS that stolen credit cards are being used and she's an active participant in processing those funds. I'll be making sure that a thorough investigation is done on the fraudulent transaction but also into this establishment as well, seeing as I've never met a business owner that is not concerned about chargebacks and the effects of that on their business. If paying, I would suggest cash as the safety of your personal payment information is questionable and there will be absolutely no precautions taken or rectification on behalf of the establishment itself.

The mushroom chicken sandwich was delicious. It was crispy & big but I wish there was a sauce on the side to add because it needed a little more flavor. I also really loved the coleslaw! It was a traditional style that I could find homemade at a family get together. The Mac cheese wasn't my favorite but it was enjoyable. The noodles were a little overdone & the sauce was more watery than creamy. I will be ordered from here again! Excited to see what else the menu has to offer!

The mushroom burger was so greasy it made my stomach hurt. It wasnt even mushroom just breading on the thinnest mushrooms. Very disappointing for my first time.

Nice size menu with several different options. I had the chicken sandwich (came with fries), a lemon pound cake and the Mac n cheese. Crispy fries, fresh sandwich with all the right toppings and a tasty dessert. They also have several versions of lemonade. Highly recommend! No indoor seating but there are a couple tables outside.

I had the pleasure of trying Dee's Vegan To Go. I had the Quarter Pounder burger with fries. This was my first Vegan meal and it was so well prepared and delicious that I can't wait to come back tomorrow lol! I want to try more items on their menu. Thank you for bringing delicious and healthy food options to the West side corridor.

I ordered a quarter pound burger with cheese added on. I just received a burger with bun, burnt burger and an old piece of lettuce. Didn't even get half the ingredients listed on the menu and didn't have cheese in the burger which I paid for. Very disappointed in my first vegan experience in Charlotte.

Not the best experience. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, oyster mushrooms and a mango lemonade off of Uber eats. (Never got the lemonade) The sandwich was bland and just OK. The mushrooms were tasteless and basically just a bowl of fried crumbs. I'm visiting from out of town so I tried calling to maybe get my order replaced or fixed, but you can't speak to anyone...so this was $30 bucks down the drain!

Mushroom chicken sandwich, coleslaw and chocolate chip cookies. All vegan , the oyster mushrooms were fried to crispy perfection, I ate 1 of of the 2 cookies en route to my room and barely had room for the coleslaw. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. Of course this is being added to my road foodie list. The customer service was exceptional, very pleasant experience.

Dee's Vegan to Go positively SLAPS every single time- they never miss! The burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, everything is always perfectly cooked, seasoned, you name it. I'm trying to cook at home more but I can't because Dee puts magic into her food. vegan, non-vegan, just get it and you won't regret it. I want to kiss the chef on the mouth for this but I won't because I don't need charges. Try it YESTERDAY

I absolutely love this restaurant!!! Today I tried the sweet potato spice cake and it was to die for. I also love their vegan mac & cheese and fried mushroom bites. But their menu honestly doesn't have anything bad on it and I hope to try it all! They used to have a fantastic asparagus cream soup and I hope it gets back on the menu someday because that was my favorite light item on the menu. This is definitely a good vegan spot to try in Charlotte and they are on Uber eats!

I got the flamed hot dog & Mac n cheese -- both were so good. Patrick was so nice & will definitely be coming back.

this food is some of the best vegan food we have had, and that includes driving across country and stopping at vegan restaurants along the way. We don't live in Charlotte, but visit often and go out of the way to pick up dee's every time. The chickn nuggets and Mac and cheese are superb. Service is great. Whether or not you are plant based, this place is worth a stop.

I'm not a Vegan but my wife and I are trying to eat a healthier diet by removing meat from our meals a few days a week. As part of this process we've begun seeking out restaurants that provide meatless options. We're so thrilled to have discovered Vegan To-Go! They have a very extensive menu that has something for everyone. I had the chili, brussel sprouts and the lemon pound cake (!!). All were delicious and - this part is important to me - I didn't feel I was sacrificing anything by eating Vegan. This is seriously delicious food for Vegans and non-Vegans alike. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Disappointed. The front staff was very nice, but when I asked what are the crabcakes made from the chef in the back didn't want to tell me, which I thought was weird. I ordered crab cakes and fries and spent over $20. The crab cakes were mediocre and poorly flavored. Fries were over seasoned and salty. The side salad didn't smell fresh. Pretty sure it was sitting for a while. Very disappointed in the food that I got for the Amount of money spent. Two stars are for the service at the front and the fries. Didn't even finish the other stuff because it isn't good.

Found this spot when I was in Charlotte for work. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Take out was quick and delicious. The spicy chickn sandwich was a solid recommendation from the staff. Staff was welcoming and gracious. Highly recommend the sweet potato spice cake.

I purchased one of their overpriced ($15.00) sandwiches, and they didn't even allow me to use their restroom. None of the vendors in this shopping area will let you use their restrooms even though you're a paying customer. I was doing laundry across the parking lot, so I was "trapped" for an hour or so (you can't use the restrooms at the laundromat either, btw), so I thought I would walk over to buy some overpriced, marginal vegan food (which I did), but I really had to go. There is literally no place to pee around here, except, of course, the local businesses. Still, they won't even allow their customers to use the restrooms--terrible place for crappy, overpriced, restaurants and a laundromat.

I had the beyond quarter pounder. It was good but the fries weren't seasoned and they were over cooked almost burnt...Good burger but not for the price.

Had the vegan 1/4 burger and fries!!! Omg!! I swear I was eating meat! The most amazing burger I've ever had! Absolutely no lies!

Everyone should go to Dee's! Reasonably priced, great food and genuine staff. I will definitely be back again and again!!

The presentation of the crab cakes isn't the best however the crispiness and flavor is great. However the Premium side of Creamy Mac and Cheese needs to be removed from the menu or re-priced. $8 for soupy pasta noodles was no what I had a taste for.

I got the burger with fries and a side of carrots and it was all delicious!!! So awesome to have a legit vegan place near me. I am looking forward to trying more things especially the mac n cheese and chicken and waffles !!

Dees has the best vegan chocolate cake I try to stay away but it's so good! I've tried a few other dishes that are really good as well overall 10/10 for me for quick to-go vegan in the area. The peach cobbler tea is also good

The service was great, it's a to go spot so you order yourself at the counter. Really nice system, easy to navigate and easy to pay. Since it's made to order the food is fresh. We ordered the chicken and waffles as well the oyster mushroom sandwich meal and a slice of chocolate cake. Side note: the treats are displayed on the counter and the cake looked too good to pass up. The chicken was extra crispy, decent but a little over cooked. The taste of the waffle was AMAZING, but a over cooked as well. I believe if it was taken off a little sooner it would've been soft and perfect. The oyster mushroom sandwich had good potential but it was not seasoned well, the fries also lacked seasoning (we ordered a side of fries). The chocolate cake consistency was underdone more of a fudge brownie than cake. Overall the food was just okay, but has great potential. Since this is vegan/plant based food, a little extra seasoning and a little less cooking would work wonders. So proud of this small black business, we were proud to support.

Okay so to begin I'm very disappointed in the food quality here. And i have to do this but if you've been a vegan you're whole life then you know good and bad vegan food. So let's get into what I ordered. I had the chicken tender plate with a side of Mac and cheese. The chicken rider plate wasn't actually freshly made chicken tenders but it was the frozen gardein chicken patty that you buy from your local market. Only thing is the cut it up and slice it...pretty much a rip off for a 15$ tray. The fries were delicious though and very well seasoned. Now moving on to the Mac and cheese, it was just awful and bland and the noodles do come very over cooked and shredded. It's like when you boil pasta too long and it because so fragile that when you go to stir it they break apart from the spoon. This is how the noodles present themselves. Very friendly staff and the wait wasn't long at all but the food quality just isn't worth the price at all and again the chicken patty and tenders they use are the gardein patty's from the market. So 25$ down the drain unfortunately.

The food was amazing. The fried "chicken" mushroom sandwich was so good. A must try is the sweet potato cake and fresh raspberry pineapple juice! The food was cooked fresh to order. This was my first time and I will be back!

Food is terrible for the prices . Cheap food, not tasty. No sauces on sandwiches, no seasonings on fries. And chili cheese fries was all tomato . Not worth the price at all. Maybe the chef will take this criticism and upgrade their recipes and not over charge for bland food. We have to do better.

Went here for the first time today and the food is delicious. The chicken tender, burger, and Mac & cheese were all excellent. Service was also great. 10/10 will go again.
