I've been wanting to try Vegan Treats for some time. This place is located at 1444 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18018. They show up to the Lancaster VegFest every summer and draw huge crowds. So, today we got to check out their home base. They have delicious baked good and beautiful cakes and pastries. It looked like they even had ice cream. My wife had the strawberry crunch cannoli and my daughter had a regular one. They both seemed to like them. I ordered the peanut butter bomb. Wow! Sweet peanut buttery goodness! It had a small chocolate cake on the bottom and was topped with peanut butter mouse and then was covered in a chocolate shell. Good stuff! There was an ice cream place nearby called The Cup. It looked like a local favorite that's been there for a long time. I would have tried it but we were all too full. Maybe next time?

Was drawn to this bakery because they offer gluten free options. We were blown away upon entering. I’ve never seen such artistically decorated treats. Hats off to the owner! Although expensive, these treats are worth every penny. If I lived close by, I would definitely be a regular customer. My husband had the GF PB Tandy and I had the GF Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. We savored every bite. We also had their vegan cheesecake soft serve ice cream. For sure the best vegan ice cream we have found.

I've been dreaming of visiting here since I first read a VegNews article back in 2021! So glad we stopped by on our family trip down to Philadelphia! I got a peanut butter bomb, which was tasty and so rich, my daughter got their soft serve ice cream which she loved and couldn't finish, and my son got a giant strawberry danish which was delicious! Highlight for me was the pistachio croissant! I didn't get a pic but it was perfect! Chocolate dipped, cream filling, and perfectly croissant! I would absolutely come back for another!

I cannot say enough good things about this cake! Not only was it absolutely stunning, but it perfectly matched the spooky, vintage aesthetic of my baby shower. Every detail, from the piped ghosts to the “HELLO” banner was so thoughtfully crafted and unique. It was clear that so much love and artistry went into making it. Guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful (and delicious) it was. Truly a showstopper and the centerpiece of the event. Thank you for bringing my vision to life in such a magical way!

The cakes have gotten shorter and shorter and the quality is going down. This one had an obvious patch put on the side and it’s just not presentable when trying to impress someone with a gifted cake! Just last summer the mini death by chocolate reached the top of the packing box and had perfect frosting (with pipping along the base, middle and top) Now you’re paying $16.75 for something barely larger than a grocery store muffin. I should’ve checked the price of the gluten free one because I believe that’s about $1-2 more and they all looked a bit melted at the base. Really disappointed that I barely got one summer last year of having a decent bakery around. I added two photos of last years same death by chocolate (green and flower on top) those were taller, more cake than icing and honestly beautiful. I hope improvements can be made because I recommend this place to everyone.

This review is in conjunction with the previous one as we spent the day in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which was amazing. After our planned scavenger hunt, which lasted approximately 3 miles we were in for some indulgence my partner being a seasoned vegan veteran said she has a special place for us to called Vegan this is located about four minutes from the center of Bethlehem town . Parking is free on Sundays, so that was great and was very easy to find here also. Vegan treats, Business for 20 years has won multiple awards so we had to go all in on quite a few things, We shared the peanut butter bomb and seen the picture has what I believe to be chocolate ganache on the outside and an amazing creamy filling on the inside, almost like a fluffy cheesecake, but peanut buttery and a whipped consistency that was just delicious. We ate that and took the remainder of items home and then I shared a Nutter butter doughnut with my son. That was crazy good, we have samples of ice cream that were fantastic. Also, they had a peppermint vanilla. I believe that was great and also a dark chocolate that was fantastic., my partner brought home a gigantic cinnamonsticky bun, strawberry shortcake there are a few more items. I will add later but here pictures underneath this review will be edited once or twice more to finish without a doubt this place lives up to its recognition the staff was very friendly and very helpful also."

It’s fine S.

I would give zero stars if I could. Cakes are beautifully presented in the case (as they are on social media as well) but the shop itself was a million degrees hot with one employee visible in his office with a large fan blowing on himself instead of cooling the customer area. The employee at the counter seemed to care less what we were ordering and didn’t even know the answer to a simple question about one of the 8 or so “large” cakes in the case (Question : What flavor cake was in the orange cream cake? ). Ended up purchasing the orange cream cake which was a staggering $60 for about a 6 in cake and the employee proceeded to place it in a a box that was far too small, explaining “we don’t have a larger box for this”. Oh ok. See photos for how that turned out after the car ride home. To add insult to injury, the (at this point quite ugly from the ill fitting box) cake was terribly dry, overly sweet and the icing had an off-putting flavor. I’m no stranger to vegan baking and next time I’ll just save the hassle and bake my own birthday cake.
