Veganation is one of the coziest and most heart-warming restaurants in Antwerp. As many reviewers have pointed out, it’s a nonprofit initiative that runs entirely on donations from its guests.
The volunteers here are incredibly kind and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure every visitor feels comfortable and well taken care of, and you can really feel their genuine passion for what they do.
The dining experience is unique. Instead of ordering from a menu, you’re served a set meal that usually includes a salad, soup, main course, dessert, and a warm drink. While there isn’t much choice in what you get, the dishes change daily, so every visit feels like a new surprise. The food is fully vegan, wholesome, and consistently delicious; it is comforting in both taste and portion size.
At the end of your meal, you can choose to leave a donation in cash or via bank transfer. There’s no pressure, and you’re free to contribute as much (or as little) as you feel is right.
I wholeheartedly recommend Veganation - not only for its tasty food and warm hospitality, but also for its inspiring charitable mission. They also partner with the “Too Good To Go” app, offering generous takeaway portions for only €5–6, which is a wonderful option for those on the go. The restaurant is open daily (except Sunday) from 12:00 to 21:00, and the team is always happy to welcome you. Just be sure to bring an open heart and a healthy appetite!
P.S. If there’s one small suggestion, it would be to add some soft, calming background music. It would perfectly complement the cozy vibe and make the experience even more enjoyable.
