Veggie Crust - Somerville

Vegan pizza options galore! I’m a Nashua resident, and you may be surprised to hear that we don’t have as many vegan options as people think. I’m SO stoked we finally got to try Veggie Crust! My husband and I shared a vegan pepperoni and a vegan falafel pizza and both were so delicious. The crust is a different texture than most pizza I’ve had but I loved it. The sauces are amazing too. I’m excited to have a pizza place with vegan options (that delivers via DoorDash) nearby!

The pasta and pizza were absolutely delicious! They also offered a variety of refreshing fruit juices—perfect for cooling off in the summer heat!

March 29 (Saturday), 2025. We came here for lunch to execute our previous night's unfulfilled desire/plan to eat gluten free Indian flavour pizza. And we did exactly that by ordering a gluten-free 10'' crust paneer tikka masala pizza, with extra topping of capsicum/bell pepper. I also requested the waiter to "go generous with the tikka sauce and paneer pieces" and asked her to count it as an extra topping if needed (the menu doesn't have paneer or sauce in it's list of available extra toppings). I am sure she graciously obliged as the pizza that arrived at our table was so rich in the sauce/gravy and the paneer cubes. It smelled so good, tasted even better, and is arguably the best Indian flavoured pizza I have eaten. The paneer had a good burn/char in it's edges and was still soft and moist. I guess paneer is a legitimate pizza topping option. I couldn't really distinguish the gluten-free crust, it felt normal. I would've loved it even without the (mozarella?) cheese, but then, it would've been a stretch to call it a pizza. The price was around $23 (they counted only the bell pepper as extra topping) and it was worth it, my gluten-free friend pounced on the final unclaimed slice! And I would have if he didn't!

I ordered the pesto penne, with an add on of squash/zucchini for which they charged me a few dollars extra, and there was literally a single quarter slice of zucchini in the entire order. The pasta tasted good but what a rip off. Uber refunded me immediately at least.

Veggie Crust came highly recommended to me by others and it didn't take long for me to figure out why. The food will make you throb with ecstasy. The vegan pizza is probably the most delicious pizza I've ever had, vegan or otherwise. If you're not a vegan and think that vegan food is somehow substandard, guess again. The pastas are also excellent. Highly recommended!

Veggie Crust is another gem on Somerville Ave. We have been coming here regularly for years since it opened and the kind of place you live in cities for and hope to find. The staff are always kind, friendly, and attentive and we always order the Indian style toppings on the pizzas because where can you ever find something like that? What's more, we brought our gluten-free friend here and were pleasantly surprised how much we liked the crust.

Was really delighted to discover this place! Recently moved to the area and was looking for good vegan food nearby, it did not disappoint! Large menu and extremely fair prices, not to mention the portions are definitely shareable. My friend and I split a medium pizza and vegan garlic breadsticks and it still came to less than most places charge to eat a single meal alone. The service was quick and everyone was really sweet. Excited to come back!

Veggie Crust is amazing. It's one of my absolute favorite places to eat in Somerville - tasty, unique (and excellent) flavors, good prices, and good vibes. They're great for dining in, take out, and delivery. Don't miss their Paneer Tikka Masala!
