Vela Meridian Apartments

We’ve been residents for about 9 months and absolutely love it! Anne did our tour and did a great job making us feel welcomed. Every time we see any of the staff they always make a point to say hello!! We’ve had one work order and Jesse was so helpful to get us taken care of. We use the pool and the gym where we enjoy with our neighbors. The restrooms near the pool and gym are always clean. We have several trees and bushes in our corner and it’s always well maintained never on the sidewalk. We love the easy access to the freeway and the quietness at night. One of the reasons we love it here is on the snowy days the snow plow is here before the sun is out. We never missed a work day. They have a team to come and shovel snow on the sidewalk and stairs. The staff is always planning events from game nights, to pool parties, ice cream/food trucks to celebrate with the residents. They are so active getting the community together. If there is any issue and you bring it to their attention they are quick to respond and address the situation. They are constantly making renovations to improve our property while minimizing the inconvenience. On top of all that the birthday cards we get on our special day is a little extra bonus we love. 10/10 recommend!!!! -The Cepedas

EDIT: I have updated this post periodically throughout my tenancy at Vela Meridian. From signing the lease to moving out, I can confidently give this place a 5-star review. This apartment complex is located in a tucked away part of Lincoln Ave, directly under the flight path of incoming jets to Centennial Airport. The airplane noises are consistent throughout the day, so if this noise is something you cannot tune out, I don't recommend this place. Other than that, the apartments are beautiful. The grounds are maintained and parking was never an issue. Snow was plowed before people left for work, and sidewalks were salted. What makes this place shine is the staff's unwavering dedication to their residents' experience and well-being. It shows with Carolyn's game nights, Joe and Jesse's friendly passing hellos in the golf cart, and Anne's quick responses to inquiries/complaints. I loved being at Vela. After moving out, I received an itemized bill and photos showing any damage we left behind. This was delivered without asking, which is exceptional given that you need to pry that information out of most other apartment complexes. The Vela team always went above and beyond to make our living experience amazing, so THANK YOU for all the hard work and love you put into this property!!

I moved to Vela Meridian in 2022 and just moved out this year in 2025. I really enjoyed living here. The management, maintenance and grounds keeping staff are all wonderful and made this a great experience! They are all very thoughtful and handle matters with professionalism and sense of urgency. I’ve never had to follow up with them on any inquiries, they’ve always answered the phone, and any maintenance requests I had were handled promptly. This place is run by a great crew who care about making this place feel like home for everyone as a resident here. Thank you for a great renting experience!

Beautiful, spacious, most friendly apartment complex. Definitely made the best choice staying at Vela, close to I-25, plenty of good places to eat around you. Management and stuff are super friendly and always make you feel like a family. Maintains issues were resolved immediately. My favorite part that is not crowded like other places, nice gym, jacuzzi, heated pool, sitting by the fireplace on the weekends. Been enjoying my stay here for 1.5 years already and it’s been very comfy.

Vela was a good place for us for the year we were there. It is a quiet property, which has its perks, but as a young couple, we looked forward to meeting our neighbors and making friends which didn’t happen as everyone kind of sticks to themselves. The apartment itself is okay. Defiantly needs some renovating and someone to actually go in do touch ups appropriately. Multiple walls had been painted with the incorrect color and was very noticeable. There was an instance with their cleaning vendors who oddly stood outside of the vacant apartment next to ours, looking in the widows, trying to open their door, and letting their children lion into my apartment windows. The up keep of the bushes/shrubs they have as you walk up to the apartment aren’t taken care of and grow over to the sidewalk making it difficult to enter and leave your apartment without being “attacked” by bushes. We also had some weird “issue” with a neighbor who also had a commercial van, we had to install a camera in our front window as one of our vehicles mysteriously had a long scratch along the hood. Wasn't a bad place, but wasn’t for us long term.

Vela Meridian is a premier apartment complex, Shea properties as a whole have been an absolute pleasure to work with. I would recommend Vela Meridian as a premier apartment destination to any and all people. Shea properties provides premier amenities and services, highly recommend!

I've lived at Vela twice now for a total of 3.5 years and I've loved it. The staff is amazing and so friendly, the maintenance crew is great, and the community is clean, safe, and quiet. Being a little removed off of Lincoln makes it the best hidden gem in Meridian. The only things that I can think of that could use improvements or updates are the gym and maybe updates to the sinks in the kitchens. That's it. I'll continue to live here as long as I'm able.

My wife and I just moved out of these apartments because my wife got a great job offer in Arizona. We loved our apartment, it was clean, modern, and lots of open well lit space! The pool was nice and the fireplaces in the park areas were very nice also. The staff was always very friendly and responsive with any needs we had. The price was reasonable, considering the area, and they didn't up our rent for the next year very much had we stayed. Thanks!

I lived here for a year. I broke my 14 month lease after living in hell for a year. Due to neighbors below pot smoking and loud rap music and a snow plow hitting my car from trying to plow empty parking spots; I had enough. The manager Carolyn Pastore did nothing but tell me to log it and turn it in to her which I did and call security. She is full of lies and a very unhappy woman. Because I gave a true review and that she knew of all these problems and failed to keep me as a resident she went and stated lies ahout me on a google review to make herself feel better. It all boils down to this. This place is full of pot smokers and you smell it all around the community. The appliances are old and damaged along with the old carpet. The only thing you can count on is you wont stepn in poop because Carolyn is the poop police. The place is noisy with planes and road traffic so its not a good experience to take a walk around the complex. If this is okay with you then go for it.

I've already posted a review on Google, but I figured it would probably be beneficial to post about my experience here since moving in November 2023. These apartments truly feel like home. The countertops, carpeting, windows, balcony, and storage are the highest quality I've seen in any apartment thus far. I love how these units don't feel like glorified hotels but more like small townhomes. Unlike so many apartments in the area, this one does NOT have fees that pile up. The property management team here is doing everything the right way. Other apartment complexes should follow their lead. Anne, Carolyn, Jesse, and Joe put so much care and consideration into this property; every sidewalk cleared before 6 am when it snows, holding residents accountable for pet waste, and keeping the common spaces unbelievably clean are just a few examples of how they go above and beyond. All of our service requests are handled at lightning speed and if they can't fix the problem immediately, they get a qualified vendor to fix the problem. Coming from an apartment complex that was the total opposite of this one, my boyfriend, my cats, and I are at peace here. Thank you, Vela team, for making living here so easy and enjoyable! We will be here for years to come.

We have lived in many different apartment complexes and this was by far my families favorite!! Every month the leasing office puts on some type of event and they are always so much fun! The leasing staff is very responsive and the manager Carolyn was truly amazing throughout everything! She personally walked us to our apartment and on a walk through prior to moving in! She is always around if you need her! The maintenance staff was awesome as well!! They came over and mounted our TV on the wall when we moved in and anytime we have a problem(not many at all) they are so quick to respond and are so caring and friendly!! We could not recommend Vela more!!! We loved our time here and sad to move!

The front desk lady that showed us a tour of the apartments is the reason I no longer considered living here. Before the tour I was in love with this apartment complex cuz it was beautiful but the front desk lady that showed us the apartments was one of the rudest people I have ever met and made the whole experience during touring awful. I just wanted to leave the whole time because she was so rude to my dad and I. She was condescending and acted like we couldn't afford the place. And had no interest in making us feel welcomed.

Unless you want to be bombarded with ridiculous charges (i.e hundreds of dollars for a scratched fridge) upon move-out, I would not recommend living here. I am still befuddled as to how one would even go about scratching a fridge, but I digress. This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience that I would not wish upon anyone else.

Although staff turnover was pretty frequent they get the job done. Current managers are very good st communicating and responding to any issues that arise. Must say we were very happy residents overall during the 3 years that we were there. . Carolyn is very professional and Jake genuinely cares about the residents ( The grounds are very nice btw .. enjoyed the pool and bbqs etc)

I was always treated well by the staff, maintenance request were acted upon promptly. Apartment was very clean with good quality finishes. They did a good job trying to keep amenities available while enacting policies to help stop the spread of COVID. This is a solid apartment complex! Edit: Be aware that 60 days notice is needed prior to move out, even though you agree to a move out date when you sign your lease you have to send them written notice. Tricky business tactics to nickel and dime you on the way out.

I love living here! Great staff, clean community, respectful and clean neighbors. we searched many complexes upon moving here and this was the best one hands-down!

Outstanding living, outstanding customer service, everyone is glad to help you out and answer all your questions, the units or apartments are clean and the flor plans are just amazing, the best place in Parker, Mr. Carlos Valdés wast just so helpful, they have so many thing to ofer, club house, pool, grills, hot tub, 24hr gym, pet friendly, you name it they have it.

I moved from the DTC to Vela Meridian in September and everyone, from the beginning has been attentive, friendly, and efficient. It's also a very well manicured complex. No complaints at all.

Nice new and clean. 0 privacy and not so nice neighbors making lots of noise. Ok, apartment living but those same nieghbors complaining about others? Staff should pay more attention to what's happening in building 12.

I am a current resident here and moved in about 3 weeks ago. I have mixed reviews as the leasing agents were all helpful, and the community as a whole is very nice and brand new and the insides of the homes really are spacious and lovely; which is great!- however I STRONGLY CAUTION ANYONE MOVING IN TO READ BELOW ABOUT THEIR PLUMBING ISSUES AND WATER LEAKS. Unfortunately, as another Google review user stated they have significant leaking issues. The day of our move in, the garage wall was absolutely soaked. Everytime the upstairs neighbor takes a shower, so do all of the belongings below! Ruined a table and one some bowls and We really aren't able to park the car in there due to the leak and we want to be sure they have access to the wall to fix the leak- inconvenient to say the least!! One of the leasing agents proceeded to say they were having the exact same leak in another of their complexes, which, 2 times is an understandable coincidence of course - however, I come to find out after calling today to question the status of my own apartment leak that has not been fixed in 3 weeks- that they are experiencing this same problem in MULTIPLE units in the Vela Community... seems like they should be questioning their contractors a bit more. Since they are brand new, likely won't be too big of a problem for the year lease I'm in, but again, I STRONGLY CAUTION anyone moving in to address this head on and make sure you're willing to spend quite a bit on rent compared to other places in the area for a leaking unit. Not too mention, our leak is only in the garage, but with the layout, I'm not certain that others wouldn't have this sort of leak from their bathroom or living room ceiling! Just a word to the wise to beware! If they can get all these leaks sorted out, the community would be lovely and definitely worth the money!

What a horrible place!! Your life will be full of noises here. I have a 4 month old baby, and the noises from the nearby airport and the weed extractor every afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00. Those noises scared my baby a lot and the leasing office told me that they cannot stop the weeder. The only way I can do is taking my baby outside. It's really ridiculous. I won't choose here again when my contracts have ended.

Been living here for just over a year now and we've decided to stay for another 14 mo lease since we love it here so much. Siera and the other office members are always very warm and friendly. They are responsive to email and calls! Our maintenance requests were addressed in a timely manner (within a few days) and the several different concerns (electricity, clothing washer unit, door weather stripping) was all addressed in one visit. They were also very friendly and curious. The area around here is mostly residential with some other office buildings and gas station right down the road. (walking distance). Very convenient location to other stores and restaurants that are just 5 minutes down Lincoln.

To the amazing staff at Vela Meridian The Vela Meridian are great apartments in a Beautiful area. They are newer and that brings some issues, but the maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. This is home! Whether your a new family, recently retired or just prefer the single life, this is the place for you. The location is amazing; minutes from DTC, the outlets at castle rock, and park meadows mall. The Vela Staff are some of the most amazing people we know! The pool, club house and weight room are always clean and ready to use. If there is a problem it is fixed immediately. We have lived here since the complex first opened and we are having a 5 star experience. I can't say I've had an experience at any other apartment like this one.

if you want to sleep, not place for you. Unless your on top floor. Badly insulated between floors. Plus there's flooring so you hear everything. Not staying moving when lease is up.

Me and my husband moved into Vela in October and have really enjoyed our new apartment. It is an upscale apartment community. All appliances are stainless steel. There is also really pretty granite. The hot tub and pool is year round and we have gone to the hot tub several times and really enjoyed it. Priscilla and Jenna at the front desk are wonderful. We know them well and they are very efficient to help us with our needs. We love our new home. Super close to I25 and any shopping including kind soopers, target, Walmart, and Park Meadows Mall. I recommend highly!!

My wife and I moved here in January from Ohio. We couldn't be happier with our decision to live here. It feels like we are living in a resort. They staff is amazing. The only reason I would discourage anyone from living here is so we can have the place pretty much to ourself haha.

I moved into my unit in the summer of 2017. The units are beautiful, the leasing staff are kind and work to quickly answer questions and resolve any issues you may have. I've been living here for almost four months and have nothing but positive things to say. The location is perfectly situated near open land but close enough to main shopping districts for easy access. Everything works in our unit, the noise from adjacent units is minimal, and the grounds are absolutely immaculate. There is noise from a nearby airport, but I probably notice it three times a week. It's never enough to interfere with my sleep schedule or hearing anything going on in the apartment. All bills have been as advertised by the leasing agents. When I had a discrepancy in one of my bills, Shea Apartments quickly contacted me, sorted it out, and credited my account. There are some small, aesthetic things I would fix (gas stoves instead of the electric one with a glass top that is difficult to clean; a different shower head in the bathroom with a little more force) but nothing that feels urgent or detrimental. All in all, an excellent apartment in an outstanding complex at a more than reasonable price.

I lived here for almost a year. The apartment itself was nice clean and new. The grounds are kept very well. Jimmy at the leasing office is super friendly and helpful. However, i had the one bed with attached garage. With this floor plan the bedroom sits parallel to your neighbors stairs. I moved my bed 3 times, but it just way too loud. Plus the doors have a special locking system and create a lot of noise closing it. I ended up having a young couple above me, who had a dog which required potty breaks. The people above me woke daily even on Sunday at 4:00am. I was so exhausted I couldn't think straight. I complained to the leasing office and one night it would get better then back to the same 4:00 am wake up call. I even brought over some of my house quests to the leasing office, to back up my noise complaints. I spoke with this couple and expressed my complaints nothing changed. They just became retaliatory. Saying my dogs barked all day. Even though I had a camera on them that text me, whenever sound went off in my unit. I was paying 1700.00 a month and was exhausted. I ended up leaving and broke my lease.

Love living here, although we have had some issues in the beginning. This would be a 5 star if I wasn't forced to wait until the 1st of the month to pay rent online. This is a big annoyance.

I have lived here one month. I must admit that I thought this was the answer to my prayers. I recently moved to the area and was elated when I moved in. Yet within a day, I was deeply disappointed. Is the place clean-YES. Is it reasonably quiet and safe-YES. Is it appropriately priced-YES. Well, what's wrong? Mostly, the staff. They seem friendly, they seemed accommodating, they smile and keep a professional decorum. But they are VERY slow to respond to issues. Their way of dealing with things they don't want to do, seems to be ignore it. I am a very easy tenant. I respond within a day to any calls from the office. I improve the property that I stay in. Maintenance usually love me for this reason. This is why I am terribly disappointed that I have not gotten the same in return. They have beautiful personalities, but problem solvers they have not been for me. I have grown to really dislike being here. I have an appliance that does not work properly. I brought it up to the leasing agent, the maintenance tech and even (which I found out after-the-fact) the assistant manager. I now realize that I have been "handled". How? By being put in ignore. I don't complain. If I can fix it, I will. For example, when we moved in, the carpet was filthy. The agent agreed to re-clean it. I said I would clean it and even turned down reimbursement. There has been no maintenance request that took less than 4 calls and a week to get someone out. (When they came they did a great job) I am very patient, but it does not make me feel like this is my home. For the first time in ten years of living in apartments, I want out of my lease. From being ill from the carpeting, to slow maintenance response, to being put on ignore from management about the faulty appliance--Vela Meridian appears to be pyrite (fool's gold). Renter beware.
