Vellee Deli - (Skyway) Downtown Minneapolis

Maybe best for fans of spicy food? I was asked if I wanted my BBQ Bahn mi spicy, I said no, they can add peppers, but it still came with several jalapeños and had some spicy sections even after removing the jalapeños. The BBQ pork had great flavor. It took about 10 minutes from walking in to walking out and no one was there... also, not a fan of being asked to tip 15-25% for the privilege of ordering.

Delicious food made fast! Vellee started as a food truck, and they still have that similar vibe and flavor which is awesome! Sadly, they also still have food truck pricing, so while the food is very good it is a little too expensive. Stop by their corner spot in the skyway and try the Dragon Melt (with a few kicks for the spice lovers). You won't regret it!

Get the Korean BBQ Bowl (burrito is messy), the BBQ Banh Mi, or the Fish Tacos. One of the best places to eat in the skyway for sure!

Great lunch place. I order though Ritual and they are always very quick. Spice levels can be off. Have had level 1 feel spicier than expected. They have great miniature eggrolls and do not water down their dipping sauce. The Dragon Quesadilla is exceptional.

Went at 11:30 and had line of a few people. Appreciated the staff said my BBQ Bahn Mi would take five minutes and that was accurate. The sandwich was very fresh with tender grilled pork. Very flavorful. Bread was great hard outside, soft inside. You can order the sandwich with 1,2, or 3 kicks. 3 kicks is their hottest and it has a good slow building bite. Really enjoyed my first experience here.

Food is good! I really liked the heat (I got the spiciest you can get) with the chicken currito, if there was a possibility to get it hotter... I probably would. Tastes similar to the curry we would make back at home but in a burrito. The burrito is huge. I think I'd like to try the banh mi to see how good those are next time. My biggest knock on it is that the price is a little higher for lunch BUT I thought it was worth it.

I understand that prior to this location this food was served from a food truck. The Korean BBQ bowl I had was fantastic. They offer 3 additional levels of heat if you like spicy foods. I opted for level 1 which had a great flavor and good amount of kick. Enough to clear my sinuses out. I'd recommend taking your food to go and they place smelled a little musty.

This is an amazing place downtown Minneapolis for a very unique lunch. I've had several things here and I've never been disappointed. My absolute favorite is the fish tacos. I highly recommend them with two kicks if you're in the heat. The sauce they put on it is amazing. I usually get the chips and skip on the salsa as I'm not a fruity salsa guy. My wife however loves the pineapple salsa, so give it a try cuz you might love it.

Vellee is a great spot in the skyways of Minneapolis! The menu is not too extensive but had great variety. The service was great - took no time at all. Pricing is comparable to most skyway grab and go. I got the Korean BQQ burrito - great flavor! I do wish that the contents of the burrito were mixed up, as there isn't much flavor other than the meat. Seating is limited, so plan on taking it to go or getting here before the lunch rush. We got some of the last seats around 11:30. The inside is well kept but there are more scenic places to visit in the skyway

Great lunch option if you are working downtown! I had the Korean BBQ bowl which had great flavor and it was a good portion size. Would definitely recommend trying out Vellee Deli!

Stopped by the other day for lunch as I was craving the Korean beef burrito. Hadn't been here since before the pandemic. Was happy to see that it's still open and survived where a lot of the others closed. Ordered my standard which is the Korean beef burrito with one kick. The food was fresh and made well as always. Although not sure if they have changed their recipe or how they make it, it was different than what I remembered. Could be just that I remember it different. It was still a good lunch. Not as spicy as 1 kick use to be and the beef seemed a little thicker. But overall I will be going there again and the uniqueness of the menu is hard to find in downtowm

I didn't enjoy this high-end duck confit banh mi any more than the down-market variety. Bread and accompaniments were fine, while the meat was appealingly juicy but didn't have a distinct duck flavor. This place seems popular with office workers, who are more well-informed than me and may have had better luck navigating the fusion menu.

Vellee Deli, located in the Skyway, offers labeled vegan items including banh mi, a tofu burrito and a few sides. I got the tofu banh mi ($9.50), which is vegan by default. I thought it had good bread and a decent pickled slaw, but the tofu was heavily marinated in a sauce that was overly sour and one-note. The service is fast and friendly and the food feels freshly prepared. Downtown Minneapolis, while vegan-friendly, isn't super great in the Skyway system. I'm glad Vellee Deli is around, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. I'm sure office workers appreciate it, though. If you want better vegan banh mi, check out Lu's Sandwiches (two locations in Minneapolis).

Great food, service, atmosphere. Wanted the Bahn Mi to WOW me. It's good just wanted some crispy duck bits. Get the Pineapple salsa! You will not be disappointed by anything here.

Had this for the first time during work hours and it was decent. I got the Korean BBQ bowl mild spice. The flavor of the meat was pretty good. The kimchi seemed nonexistent though because I did not taste ANY spice at all, let alone the extra mild spice I added. Maybe their kimchi is just not spicy? But that was just quite disappointing. That was my first time but I would like to go back and try something else again and ask for something spicier and hope for the best!

First time here, but heard all good things about their food truck and other location. We tried the Chicken Currito which I highly recommend, along with the Korean BBQ burrito. We only went with a spice level of 1 on the Korean, but I would recommend going higher as it didn't have much. That said the kimchi on the Korean BBQ was fantastic. Overall cool vibe inside, great location, and awesome service as well. Will definitely be back.

Walked here from my office over lunch and got their BBQ Banh Mi. I didn't have super high expectations but was pleasantly surprised at how incredibly flavorful it was and was a great Vietnamese fusion sandwich! The line was pretty long as were most places but it went quickly and the food came out hot & fast. Will definitely put it in rotation of places to get lunch when I work downtown!

Came here after hearing about the Korean BBQ bowl, in hopes that I'd discover an alternative to World Street Kitchen's bowl (a personal favorite dish in the city) that was walkable from the office! The line was long but the service in the skyway location was quick and friendly. The shop's ambiance is pretty minimal, but it has some window bar seating if you'd prefer to eat in. Now food: What I received was...odd. With each bite, what I expected to taste just wasn't there. The beef was just beef...missing the bulgogi or kalbi style seasoning you'd expect with KBBQ. The kimchi was bland and raw lettuce had a strange dominance in the flavor profile and mixed poorly with the rice. I gave it just one "kick," their spice level indicator, so it's possible I didn't let the flavors shine like I should have. Still though, I can't imagine knocking it up a level would unlock an entirely different flavor. Giving it two stars since maybe their Vietnamese dishes are better, I'll try the Bahn Mi to be sure. But at $16 out the door, I'm struggling to find what the raving reviews saw in this bowl.

I've had Vellee Deli not once but twice since starting working downtown less than a month ago. For reference, that's 50% of my lunches out. As somebody who generally doesn't like to repeat a place until I've tried everything else on my wishlist, trust me when I say this is totally worth it. So far I've had their bahn mi and the bbq pork tacos and they're both phenomenal in their own ways. For starters, they're both super filling and clearly use quality and fresh ingredients. Huge plus for fresh tortillas on the tacos. The bahn mi was super flavorful and a really great lunch. A full sandwich is FILLING, but oh so worth it. If you like spicy, you can opt to have them add a little heat. I went for their 2nd spiciest choice and dang it was good. The location is super accessible in the skyway and had a pretty impressive amount of seating! It's clean, quick and friendly so definitely a great lunch spot!

When they first opened a coworker and I ventured into Velee in the skyway after loving their food truck selection. We both got the Korean BBQ burrito and weren't disappointed. On my second trip to Velee I tried the Chicken Currito (chicken curry burrito) and really liked it! The flavors and texture were strong but rich and juicy. I loved the Velee rolls (small fried port egg rolls) and could have had more of those! The prices are pretty consistent with other skyway options - our lunch was $27 for two entrees, a small bag of Egg Rolls and a can of San Pellegrini. The ingredients seem higher quality than most, though they're really simple. To go from four to five stars Id love to see an option to upgrade to brown rice instead of basic white rice or to a whole grain tortilla instead of just white flour one. Overall, slightly simplistic for the price but definitely delicious and somewhere I'll become a regular at based on flavor alone!

I've been here three times with a very consistent experience. This is some solid Korean bbq food, "Chipotle style". I like that they offer healthy options, like bowl style versus wrap, and that I can choose how hot (or not) I want my food, with a lot of options to start from. I appreciate that I don't have to spend a lot of time waiting in line/for my food as well. Solid takeout choice for this area of the skyway.

I did not know this place existed until recently, and I so want to have their food again. Of course having their korean bbq burrito bowl was worth having. There is enough food for two people or even for two meals. Now there is not only the right amount of ingredients, but it was not too spicy either. Which I kind of like especially for trying their food for the first time. I so want to have their bun minh sandwich which I so want to try sometime.

Just finished trying Vellee out for the first time. Went with a coworker who has been a couple of times so that was helpful. Friday's are usually pretty busy on the Skyway but they didn't have a line and got our orders out quickly. I had the Duck Banh Mi, which came as described - very large and very very good! I ordered it with two "kicks", Vellee slang for spice, and I might need to tone it down to one kick the next time because this sandwich had a brother sweating like new inmate! Definitely will be back to try out the Korean BBQ bowls.

The first time I tried Vellee Deli was off their food truck and I love that this space in the skyway emanates the same feeling! The service is quick (staying true to their food truck roots) and the location can get crowded but they move through lines very quickly! I love the food options here and have tried a couple things including the Korean BBQ burrito, the chicken currito, and the dragon melt quesadilla. The chicken currito is flavorful and spiced well. The Korean BBQ burrito is my favorite but definitely use your fork to manually mix it so you get a little bit of everything in one bite! Ugh. Droooool. They have the option to add spice, they refer to levels of spice as kicks with three being the highest. I love spicy food and getting the food with three kicks will not disappoint you!

Vellee Deli is located in one of Downtown Minneapolis's many skyways, which is confusing to navigate if you don't live or work there (I had to use the GPS to find it). They started out as a food truck and I love that they kept that vibe going with their restaurant location - the wall that blocks off the kitchen is actually the ordering window side of a food truck, if that makes sense. The space is fairly small - narrow but long. You order at the counter and then either take it to go or you can enjoy it at the tables in the back. I ordered the Korean BBQ Burrito with 1 kick. The flavor was spot on! It was such a delicious mix of spice and spiciness - although I could have "kick"ed it up a notch and gotten 2 kicks... there's always next time ;) The burrito was huge and I didn't think I could finish it but it was gone before I knew it! Can't wait to come back and try their other menu items!

Love this place for lots of reasons. They move through lines so quickly! If you don't see a line during the lunch rush, it's not because people don't like it! They have lots of employees working in the kitchen to deliver orders as fast as they come. The food is very flavorful and you can customize the spiciness by adding "kicks". My go-to's are the dragon melt quesadilla and the chicken currito bowl. Their fish tacos are tasty, and the guacamole is delicious as well. Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed!

Had a great lunch today at VD! I had the Korean BBQ bowl ($10) with extra protein (add on $6). It came with steak, kimchi, and assorted vegetables on top of a small bed of rice. It was savory and well worth the price increase to get a larger portion. The location wasn't too crowded around 11:45 before the typical lunch crowd, and I would definitely visit again because of its proximity to the downtown offices.

Thanks to places like Vellee, Senor Wong, and to a lesser extent Chino, I am quickly becoming a fan of Latin/Asian fusion. The Vellee Deli truck is quite noticeable, as it is painted all black and generally can be heard from a distance due to the external speakers usually playing a hodge-podge of modern tunes. The service always comes with a smile and a 'thank you' for your patronage. Niceties aside, the food is Vellee's real appeal. It's not what I would call gourmet, but it's damn good street food. Their banh mi dwarfs those found at most other Vietnamese restaurants, but still contains the usual ingredient suspects (save for the use of bbq pork vs. pate). Burritos are substantial and filling (and further proof that everything should contain kimchi), and the beer battered fish tacos are worth every penny. And finally, they offer three varying spice levels for each dish, though even the hottest will likely disappoint those looking for something beyond 'MN spicy.'

I've been here a few times and every time, it's delicious. I usually get one of the burritos and I've had the beef and tofu kind. Sometimes they can add too much rice but normally the ingredients are very well balanced. The lines can get very long but it goes quickly and they have a nice seating area for hose waiting. I usually get 2-3 kicks and add siracha sauce after so it's no where near 'Midwest spicy'. If you're a no spice is nice person don't get any kicks. I've never had something I didn't like here so just start trying their menu.

Really tasty food! A LOT spicier than I expected. I got 1 kick of spice (out of 3) and it was almost too spicy to eat. Next time I will probably try with 0 kicks to see how it tastes. Other than extreme spice, the flavors were really good! You get a lot of food for the price. I order the chicken currito. It came with rice, potatoes, and chicken so it was very filling!

The wait is over for the restaurant location of the popular food truck Vellee Deli! Yesterday was their soft opening to the public and it could not have been any more impressive. Joyce and Will have created the most amazing restaurant that matches their style and stays true to their origins. The space is innovative and convenient for the lunch crowd. The line moves fast and food is ready for pick up at the window in record time. They have lots of space to sit, either with a group or at a counter solo. This will be the best stop for lunch in the skyways! Vellee Deli has the same menu as the food truck, with a handful more additions. The quality of food is just as good as it has always been. Maybe even better! Just know that I consider a trip to Vellee without an order of the vellee rolls (egg rolls) is a waste. No matter how full I already am, I WILL finish those rolls. Congrats to Joyce, Will, and their long time employees! They treat their customers like family and deserve the success!

Really, really cool spot with delicious food. I'm a huge fan of asian fusion, and Vellee Deli puts a tasty, modern spin on food that's already known for thinking outside the box. I usually get the Korean BBQ Burrito or the Dragon Quesadilla (would absolutely recommend getting either of those). It's a little pricey, but nothing that you wouldn't expect from any other restaurants in the skyways. The restaurant is nice and open with a good amount of seating near the windows, and the pick-up window even emulates the food truck that the restaurant first got started with. Go check this place out! It definitely won't disappoint.

Just finished eating here! First time here. I came here to meet up with some cousin's who also worked in downtown Minneapolis...Pleasantly surprised!!!! Got the "Chicken Currito"... thai curry bowl (with a max hotness of 3).....chicken curry, romaine lettuce, potatoes on top of white rice..with their 'zing' sauce.... The hotness was perfect. It wasn't that fake spiciness you get in like hot sauce packets from fast food places. It was REAL spiciness, but JUST right. It was legit good. Really tasty! The curry and their zing sauce went really well together :) add in the curried chicken and the light romaine (crispy, fresh, perfect temperature) and wow... PRETTTY GOOD. Awesome service and happy workers! I LITERALLY ordered, walked 7 feet, and my bowl was waiting for me. I would DEFINITELY come again to try their other dishes or even have this one again. Great spot for a lunch during the work day. Came to their restaurant but they also have a food truck!

I had the Korean BBQ burrito bowl and the Vellee rolls, and both were fantastic. The stir-fried kimchi, which sits on top of everything else when you get the bowl, was on point. Kimchi is like an appetizer in the dish that whets your appetite, due to its sour-ness. It is not too spicy, so don't be afraid to try it! The rolls are crispy on the outside, satisfying on the inside, and they go really well with the sauce that comes with the rolls. The only downside of this place is that it is not open long enough!

There's always a long line at their store front location, so I thought I'd give it a try to see what the fuss is about. My first time there was decent, I had the Korean BBQ burrito. The short ribs were tender and delicious. The kim chi was just ok, and the rice was a bit undercooked. My second visit I had the chicken curry currito bowl with 2 kicks. Wow. Amazing. My third visit I tried getting the Korean BBQ bowl instead of the burrito. Much better! The rice was well cooked, and it was more balanced without the tortilla. My most recent visit I had the BBQ banh mi. It was good, but I'm comparing it to placed in St. Paul that are more versed in that fare, and in that respect, its on par but doesn't rise above that competition. Still worth a try if you haven't. I recommend two kicks, plus a bit of Sriracha on it. I'm impressed, and I get now why there's always a line here. Highly recommend, just prepare for a 10 minute wait or longer if you hit peak hours.

Today, I woke up like a kid on Christmas morning because I had made plans for a food truck lunch with two of my favorite friends. Meaning I was finally going to try this Korean burrito from Vellee Deli. But first, a tangential story. About once a year, I go to San Francisco for work. While I'm there, I always eat at this place called HRD, which serves Korean burritos. Sometimes I eat there twice in four days. Don't judge. And then I go through major withdrawal when I get home, since Korean burritos were hard to find in this town pre-Vellee Deli. I'm cursing myself that it took me so too long to try this truck that would've more than satisfied all these withdrawal symptoms. In fact, I think I like Vellee's version even better than HRD. It comes with perfectly tender BBQ short rib, rice, (extra) kimchi, salsa and crisp lettuce. I ordered it with two out of three kicks, which was plenty hot for me (and I love spicy food). I could barely finish half my huge burrito and I was eating it like an animal. So the bonus is that you'll certainly be able to turn this into two meals for $8. This thing tasted so good it makes me want to use the F-word. The ONLY thing that could've made this thing even better for me is doing a quick mix of all the ingredients before wrapping it up (then you get everything in every bite!). Additionally, the whole situation would be improved if they would just park in front of my house all day. The rest of the menu includes quesadillas, tacos and banh mi with inspired ingredients. Things like the Currito made with Thai curry and the BBQ pork taco with house pickle. If you like heat, make sure to ask for a "kick" (or two or three). They told me the dishes are rather mild without the kicks. And the service? Just about the friendliest and fastest in the land.

Two words: Tofu Burrito. This 5-star review is based on five trips to Vellee Deli in the past month for their Tofu burrito. Exclusively. It's the best lunch burrito in downtown Minneapolis. It's a magic combination of Thai curry sauce, tofu, peppers, mushrooms, lettuce and rice. It also include's Vellee's 'zing sauce.' I'm admittedly embarrassed to only know the flavor of one menu item at Vellee. When I walk to to Vellee for lunch, I ALWAYS tell myself that I'm going to try other menu items such as their Bahn Mi sandwich or fish tacos -- but when I get up to the counter, all I can say is "TOFU BURRITO!" and "TWO KICKS" (for added zing sauce.) I hope to work on my Tofu Burrito affliction... and explore other menu options at Vellee...but I may have to go through many more burritos before I achieve success. I have a high tolerance. If I succeed, I'll update my review. In the meantime.... have you tried their Tofu Burrito?

Oh Vellee Deli, how I love you. Is it strange to be in love with a Food Truck? Maybe. Am I ashamed? Definitely not. This Food Truck is amazing. If I could, I would probably eat here every single day. Sad, I know. Their food is just that good. The Korean BBQ Burrito is to die for! Make sure you get it with at least one "kick" and have them toss on some extra kim chi. (Come on live a little!) The Chicken Currito is also out of this world awesome-sauce. Their food is amazing, fast and fresh. The people who run the truck are great and the prices cannot be beat. Seriously, what's not to love?

This review is for the bbq banh mi with three kicks alone. I've never had any of their other items but this one hits the spot any time I have to go into the office downtown. The lines are long during lunch time but they move fast. If you get three kicks on anything, be sure to have some milk handy because that ISH IS SPICYYY. Like so spicy you have to keep shoving more food in your mouth to distract yourself from crying. I wouldn't say it's an authentic banh mi by any means but it definitely tastes great and is a decent price for the amount of meet in the sandwich.

Whenever I'm downtown, I try to eat here for lunch. The Korean BBQ is great! Beware of the different levels of heat (or kicks). I got it with 2 kicks once and my tongue was on fire. I actually order this without any heat and I love it! But if you love spicy, by all means, try the different kicks!

Tried Vellee for lunch. Amazingly fast service, reasonable prices. I had the curritto and my fiance had the currito bowl. Both were absolutely amazing for us (we both love thai and mexocan food). It was a lot of food, about the size of a QDoba burrito. I definitely could have saved some for a snack later, but it was so good that I just ate it all, and am now uncomfortably full. My fiance saved about half of her bowl for leftovers. There are plenty of vegetarian or gluten free options. The food was definitely a bit spicy. It was on the upper end of my comfort range, and just over that for my fiance. And that was with only the "Level 1" kick of spice. They also have sriracha bottles everywhere. During the lunch rush, seating was a bit hard to find but not bad. The music was pleasant and not too loud. Everything was incredibly clean.

Usually a line when I walk past here as there was today and it didn't take more than 5m to place my order. Got the BBQ pork tacos and you can taste every ingredient that goes into the fusion. They also have some window-counter seating which is cool for a lil' skyway watching. Definitely recommended.

AMAZING. The tofu bowl, the veggie quesadillas, literally everything I've tried here is amazing. My favorite lunch spot hands down. If only they were open on the weekends.

Skyway level food on the double. Fish tacos, awesome. Chips, disappointingly stale. I didn't go for the spice, but looks like you can go hot if you want.

Sooooo delicious. The burritos and bowls are so flavorful and super spicy! Way better than the stuff at world street kitchen. During lunch the lines are super long but they're efficient and you get your food in no time.

A good friend of mine and I took a stroll down Marquette to go to one of his favorite food trucks, Vellee Deli, an Asian inspired food truck with a Mexican flair that hangs around Minneapolis dishing out fun creations. It is one of my buddies favorite food trucks. I ordered the Banh Mi BBQ sandwich and the service was fantastic. The guys in the truck were super nice, plus they take credit cards. Plus one. My buddy ordered The Mojo, a sausage hoagie with tons of stuff on top. My sandwich came out after a few minutes and I ordered the extra double hot kick, not sure if that got in the order, because it wasn't spicy at all. The bread was my favorite thing about the sandwich, it seemed freshly baked and a sizable amount. Fluffy, yet crisp at the same time. I took a bite and the first thing I thought was, I think it is a little cool. It could have been because we got there about 11:15, but I think all of the cold fixings on top really cooled it down. The meat had a nice Asian flair to it, but there was not a lot of meat on it at all. It was mostly toppings. For a meat sandwich, I want the meat to jump out at me and say "Hello!" I had to dig in for a few bites to get to some actual substantive meat product. The jalapenos were good, but again, not spicy enough for my palette, could be a Minnesota thing, hence the double hot kicker I wanted. The Diet Coke I ordered was ice cold, which was great and only a buck, so for $7 it was an okay sandwich and drink, but I have been told their burritos are killer. I had a style of this in Seattle at Pikes Market, which was more of a steamed dumpling full of the same type of meat, which was fantastic! Maybe steaming the bread would add more heat and goodness to the meal. My friend's Mojo was good, but not great though, he thought the sausage was a little undercooked and cool as well. Hopefully it was because we caught them early It wasn't bad by any stretch, but for my first Minneapolis food truck experience, I wanted a Holy Grail. Maybe I had a little too much high expectations. Lots more trucks to try, and a friend who is master of them, so I will continue to try them once a month. Good times with a buddy and a first try at food truckness that was okay, just not great. Again, the guys inside the truck were great though.

First time seeing this truck for me so I gave it a try. I had the watermelon lime something or other drink and the chicken burrito with "two kicks". The drink was delicious, but the glass it was served in was silly small. Come on, for $2, spare me a few more ounces. The burrito was fab - totally top notch. I work nearby so brought it back to my desk to eat and the whole world disappeared and it was just me and this burrito. The curry was yummy, the portion was great...it was a rock star burrito in so many ways. Memories. I wish I didn't have to say "with two kicks" when ordering for spiciness. That seemed a bit dorky, but that's a minor thing. I loved this truck, and will most definitely try it again.

I crossed an item off my bucketlist! It was to eat at a food truck, more specifically at Vellee Deli, and even more specific, the Korean BBQ Burrito after Ms. Annie D recommended it. I had the Korean BBQ burrito and my mom had the pork tacos. To be honest, my mom's tacos were much more enjoyable than my burrito. The pork was flavorful and the topping were delish! The Korean BBQ burrito was a bit of a disappointment :( The burrito was huge! It had Korean marinated beef, kimchi (YES!), lettuce, and rice. I found the whole thing flavorless. The beef had very little to no flavor to it, and I think working on that marinade would make a big difference. Also I think it would taste SO MUCH better if they put more of a variety of things in the burrito. Even bean sprouts would be good. OR my favorite Korean condiment, SSAMJANG! Vellee Deli, you know what's up. I hope you read this. All in all, Vellee Deli has other delicious treats I'd go back to try. Staff was super friendly, and despite the long line, it moves very quickly. I hope you read this. SSAMJANG JUSAYO!

I am all about food trucks and when I heard there was a Korean Fusion one just 3 blocks from work, I was on it! They had a great menu with burritos, bahn mi sandwiches and quesadillas! I had the Korean Short rib bowl with kimchi and 2 kicks (kicks are the thai chilli pepper spices you can add). I LOVE spicy food and 2 kicks was really great and enjoyable! I highly recommend this place for lunch and the service is so quick and they are so nice!

I like the korean bbq rice bowl and the duck confit banh mi here. The banh mi baguette was very fresh and crispy. I cried every time I eat here because of the spiciness (and I always request level 1/3 spiciness). It's a good find in the skyway. I'd love to be back to try their other dishes soon.

Duck Confit Banh-Mi! On my top 10 list of best sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. I get it with 2 kicks (Vellee spice scale) which leaves me with a slight forehead sweat for a few minutes afterward. Most would probably rather have 1 kick or none however. Going to the new Vellee in the skyway has become a once a week ritual for me that I look forward to more than anywhere else. The bowls here are also delicious, the rolls are ok for me and the fish tacos are pretty good but nothing really beats the banh-mi IMO.

BBQ banh mi was huge and delicious, just stuffed with saucy BBQ pork and pickled carrots. Egg rolls were smaller (so that even though they give you five, it's easy to eat one if you're trying to go light) and juicy.

One of my favorite lunch spots, ANYWHERE...! Located in the Skyway in downtown Minneapolis. I always get the Duck Confit Banh Mi. Some day, I'll explore the rest of the menu, which looks equally appealing.

The dragon melt quesadilla and the KBBQ bowl are my two absolute favorites off their menu. Their bahn mi sandwiches are also really good. This was one of my go to spots when I worked downtown. The service is fast and efficient and the staff is friendly.

Best Bánh mì I've ever had! The Duck Confit Bánh mì is worth every penny, and relatively under-priced compared to other upscale, fancy Bánh mì. Perfectly proportioned with all the delicious ingredients in every bite! Amazing flavor in the duck confit and two kicks is the perfect amount of spice! The bread is fresh and soft with a slight crunch, but encompasses the fillings perfectly! So fresh! So good! Perfectly done!
