I recently visited this shop and was thoroughly impressed by the quality and variety of their offerings—the gelato, chocolates, and crepes are all top-tier. In terms of flavor, the pistachio and hazelnut gelatos were the standouts, featuring a perfect consistency and authentic taste.
However, the experience was a tale of two very different service standards.
On one hand, I want to highlight the Romanian gentleman (wearing glasses) who served us. He was the definition of a professional—polite, helpful, and incredibly welcoming. It was purely because of his hospitality that I decided to proceed with a large purchase for my entire group.
On the other hand, my experience with Yuri was quite disappointing. When I asked to taste a flavor, I was told I had to pay first before being allowed a sample. This "payment-first" approach felt remarkably rude and is counter-intuitive to a luxury dessert experience. Regardless of how good the product is, a "customer-first" attitude is essential. If it weren’t for the kindness of the first staff member, Yuri’s dismissive attitude would have resulted in us walking out.
I highly recommend the products here, but I would urge management to focus on hospitality training for certain team members. A great product can be easily overshadowed by a poor first impression.
