The first three reviews all refer to Vendetta as a gem. Gem is not a word often seen. Thus, if you're not suspect, I have some swamp land to sell you.
I have been to this coffee/liquor bar twice, and both times the wait was inordinate, but even worse, the staff was flippant and unconcerned. We ordered two drinks, and it was more than 30 minutes until my wife, who is usually more patient than me, went up to the bar to see what the problem was. The two dudes working ignored her presence, their back turned, as if this sixty-one year old woman was invisible. By the way, the bartenders were gabbing and not mixing drinks. They didn't care in the least.
We waited ten more minutes and left, sacrificing the $28.00 the two cocktails cost. It was a surreal experience, but since it occurred on two separate occasions, it became reality.
Vendetta encourages revenge, and I suggest no one should give them business. Although I live in the hood and want every business to succeed, Vendetta should close and let someone who wants to succeed take over the lovely space. BTW, a band was setting up, and Vendetta would be a great place to listen to music if anyone employed gave a rip about the customers providing them a living. It's a travesty, and the city should have a department that closes businesses due to laziness and entitlement. The proprietors and employees should be ashamed of themselves.
