Wonderful experience. Gentleman who took my reservation a week ago was helpful and lovely. Tonight we were seated immediately, given water and bread right away. Ordered Salad with Red Wine dressing, the lemon chicken, and the pasta with pancetta. All were wonderful. Our waiter Will was extremely knowledgeable and was very kind and genuine, obviously a mainstay of the restaurant for some time. We simply loved our meal. Thank you!

Google
Absolutely loved our experience at Veneto Trattoria. From the moment we sat down, the fresh bread set the tone—simple, warm, and delicious. We also tried the meatball appetizer, and wow… easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned and tender. For the main course, I went with the Spaghetti alle Vongole, and it was a true standout—light, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can tell there’s pride in every dish. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Italian done right.

So so good. I have no pictures because we inhaled our food!! Ravioli and gnocchi were amazing, dessert was delicious, service and atmosphere wonderful. We ate on the patio which was quiet and lovely.

My wife and I came across this place while looking for spaghetti for my two daughters. They squeezed us in and even though kids spaghetti wasn’t on the menu they offered to make it happen for us. (Sign of true Italians.. “We make special for you!”) Staff was very kind and attentive, the patio and interior were full of wonderful characters and the overall atmosphere was very charming. Food was on point and the menu was surprisingly priced well and a good value. I really enjoyed it and even though they obviously cater to an older crowd, my kids insisted that this place was 100 out of 100. Recommendation: I would keep the kids on the patio but friends and date night inside for cozy cocktails and more intimate conversations. Dress is dressy / respectfully casual. Overall, this place is a ‘must visit’ on my list. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

Shocking experience. The hostess who wore pink pants was lacking common sense and was un welcoming. The person who serve water had some serious ANGER issues. Very loud and disorganized establishment.

Google
You must visit this brilliant Venetian restaurant!! We tried Baccala Mantecato (corn cake w/ cod moose) and Ossobuco alla Milanese. Both of them are super good!!

Yelp
Best Italian food hands done. Just like you have in Italy. Highly recommend it! Servers were knowledgeable and courteous.

Yelp
Ville piccata! Ville piccata! Ville piccata! I can't say enough about the veal piccata here! I just finished getting my hair done and was looking for a good meal. Then it dawned on me. I had some of the best veal piccata that I've ever had in my life at this place! I sat at the bar as usual and Felix the bartender was absolutely amazing! Anyway, I love love, love love, love the veal piccata here! Felix told me that the head chef had the day off, so the second chef in charge made the veal piccata! Baby, it was orgasmic! If you like veal piccata, this is the place to come! It's not on the menu but you can ask for it because they always have the ingredients! Oh yeah, and the bread is outstanding! Hot and fresh out of the oven!

Yelp
What a lovely surprise this was. I have driven by this strip mall for years, but had not stopped in to try Veneto Trattoria until last night. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot which is shared with Houston's and the rest of the strip mall. We were early - we had missed lunch -so we arrived around 5:30pm with no reservation and we were able to get seated without a reservation. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy their outdoor seating. They have plenty of heat lamps if it gets a little cool. Shortly after being seated our server, Wanda, was over to tell us about specials and to take our drink order. They have a lovely fair priced wine list and I chose a nice wine for $12.50 a glass. Even their bottle prices are affordable. For dinner I asked Wanda for her opinion of the dishes I was thinking of, and she said the Milanese di Pollo was amazing so I ordered it. It is a version of Chicken Parm without cheese and it was so delicious. A little crispy on the outside and perfectly done on the inside. This is my new favorite dish! The red sauce was a nice accompaniment, but did not over power the dish. My dinner mate ordered the Scaloppine Special and ate every last bite. This is a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant that I will return to,but I think we got lucky this time and next time I will make a reservation.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and always had a good meal. This last time I sat at the bar and really enjoyed chatting with Felix the bartender. His recommended Super Tuscan wine was an excellent value. The Orecchiette Salsiccia e Broccolini with traditional Pugliese pasta sauteed with sausages and rapini was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
On ambiance alone it would get 4.5. I went on a Saturday afternoon which got busier and busier as time went by. Ordered a large pizza with several toppings along with cannolis for desert. No complaints, was it outstanding no, but it was good yes. I may go back to try their lasagna or other dish to make a final decision on whether this place keeps the 4 star. The server was nice but was absent for a long spell and I had to stop a different waiter to go fetch him. Then after we requested 2 cannolis we only got one. A little tiresome, but I'll keep it at 4 stars for now. Parking was easy to find.

Yelp
We did not call to make a reservation so we got the small table right next to the bar that someone were sitting there. The food here is tasty and not too salty (I like it!). I got fettuccine with duck ragu sauce. The duck sauce is mild with a little bit of duck meat but it is delicious and goes well with the perfectly cooked fettuccine. We got tiramisu to go and this tiramisu is so delicious. I love the sauces on top. I enjoy this dessert and want to get some more.

Yelp
Yes, we did. The food was outstanding. Service was fantastic as well. We love the ambiance as this clearly is a local favorite. They are very busy, just how I envisioned a nice Italian restaurant would be. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous authentic food - the best we've had in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. The service is warm and accomodating.

Yelp
While we wanted to love this place, we found their service concerning. Walking into the restaurant we were the youngest people in there... which was fine. We actually find ourselves appreciative of boomer generation hotspots. I usually find the service in these types of establishments to be above and beyond. But this was not the case. We got our drinks quickly and were still deciding on what to order; so we asked to have a minute. BIG mistake. Our server didn't return for over 20 min. She was consumed in talking to every table except ours. She actually took a six tops order that walked in after we were sat before coming back to our table. When she did return we let her know we were trying to make it to a movie and would have to leave. No apology was extended from her or the management; the hostess or manager was informed by the server but simply smiled and told us to have a good night on our way out. I would normally have given this feedback in person but no one stopped by or asked us how our experience was. They also don't have an email I could send this to.. so posting on yelp in hopes that they can learn from this feedback. I will say my husband was concerned our treatment was due to him being the only brown person in the dining room. While I am unsure if that was the case; I think this should be noted as this perception from a guest is important.

Yelp
Ate there twice while in town for 4 nights!!! Food/service? Spot on. My wife had the same meal both times.(chicken).

Yelp
Nice service however the kitchen was in the weeds and the entrees were not well executed. The bread service was amazing- light and crispy Italian bread slices plus fingers of focaccia served with a whipped garlic butter that was not too strong - just enough garlic and the butter was perfectly salted and well whipped. It went a bit down in quality after that. The sausages with braised savoy cabbage were nearly inedible they were so salty - and I have been accused of being heavy handed with salt! The veal parmigiana had a solid block of cheese on top - as if they forgot to put it under the salamander (broiler) before service. Not sure we will return.

Yelp
Just moved to Phoenix and came in night before Fiesta Bowl and needed a place to have New Years Eve dinner. Was struggling to find a place for 7 that was good. Got lucky unfortunately no luck withthe refs at the Fiesta Bowl and scored a table here. Set Menu, pricey but what do you expect for New Years Eve in Scottsdale. Food and service was great and owner was fun and generous giving us some free Limoncello as GA beat OSU. We still should have stomped the and won 9 out of 10 times over them Frogs but alas next year.

Yelp
Outside of my Italian father's kitchen, I can confidently say that this is the best Italian food I have had. Incredible service, wonderful staff, and world class food unite to create an exemplary experience and an inviting atmosphere.

Albert A.

Yelp
Food excellent service just ok one of the ladies looked pissed the dessert was excellent I think its a sort of Spumone Espresso was burned no Bueno Pricey for Italian Food ambiance little old .

Mchael D.

Yelp
I had the squid ink pasta with calamari. The dish was unremarkable with an over cooked pasta, rubbery calamari, and mushy peas. (Never had peas with this dish) . I just came back from northern Italy and was hoping for a similar dish, but wow this entree was terrible. The sauce was bland and added no flavor..... $25.00! The restaurant "North " offers a similar entree at $18.00 that is a 9/10. Also note the maitre d was very grumpy and wanted to sit us in the back of the restaurant when the room was 90% empty.....$10.00 for a dinner salad! Sorry very over priced, non authentic Italian food. Suggest North or Arevaderci.

Lang V.

Yelp
This place is perfect. Very inviting and the food was amazing. Our server was very polite and she really knows the menu well. The lighting in the restaurant was very romantic and the the noise level was just perfect. The price for homemade pasta was just right. My husband and I will come back that's for sure.

Yelp
One of our dishes had hair(s) in it. Neither waitress or manager/owner said "sorry." We were compensated by them remaking the dish. Their response was poor.

Yelp
What an incredible dining experience! Since traveling to Italy last year, nothing has quite compared until my meal here. To say the food was delicious would be an understatement! Not to mention, the staff is incredible! They make you feel like you're part of the family. Would highly recommend!

JM R.

Yelp
The food and service was excellent. Our server was extremely helpful with suggestions and gave us excellent service. The fish was so fresh and flavorful and had a lovely lemon butter sauce. Their very popular vegetable soup is always perfection!

Ira L.

Yelp
Authentic Venetian cuisine. Outdoor patio is perfect on a nice evening. Portions are generous. This is a small place inside so reservations are essential. Nice selection of wines by the glass.

Yelp
Wow this place was amazing!! We came here for a Friday night dinner and it did not disappoint. This is going to be our new regular spot! Our service from Will and the waitstaff was top notch. Always refilling drinks, bread, asking if we needed anything. Will was so friendly and warm, had great recommendations! The complimentary bread was delicious. Burrata was on the special for the night and our server Will recommended extra bread for the appetizer. It was delicious! We also got the beet salad that was on special as an appetizer. Our pasta dishes turned out fabulous. So flavorful and huge portions! Can't wait to come back! There are no surprises why this is a neighborhood staple!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place - low key, good food and atmosphere. There aren't too many restaurants in the area that specialize in authentic Northern Italian cuisine, so this is the place to go. Service is friendly, and staff is very helpful in describing the menu items. This is not Italian American or Godfather food - it's the real deal. So if you feel like spending a nice lunch or dinner with Venetian ambiance, this is the place to go. My favorite appetizer is the Baccala Mantecato - a modern version of my Mom's baccala. And I couldn't resist the Fegato a la Veneziana. Amazing. I have also had the pork tenderloin and my husband has enjoyed the pasta dishes. Great wine selection as well. And the desserts???? I took mine home and it was heaven - the Veneto Cioccolato Valentino. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I go to hustons across the parking lot for years never gave this place much thought mistake on my part it was really good see why there are so busy I sat at the bat that was super busy buy the guy beside the bar are awesome keep drinks filled new the menu suggested the Osseo buco witch was grate I all so got there version of creme brulee and they say that on the menu witch is how it should be can wait to go back

Yelp
This is the only place where I get liver and onions, I love the liver. It is so good and very, very tender. The whole menu is great, but this is a twice a year request. The rest of the year we go to the restaurant and pick anything off of the menu. I can't think of a single thing that is bad and don't leave without desert.

Carol H.

Yelp
The wait staff was extremely great. The special veal chop was excellent with home made pasta. Salmon was wonderful. Waitress was on top of everything never waited for bread or water refill and wine refills. Definitely will return.

Yelp
Awesome place. A little hiccup with the doneness of my filet, but the flavors, the service and the ambience was great. We will come back for more soon.

Yelp
I have known about this spot for years, but had never made it in. Well friends, I have been MISSING OUT! This local Italian gem is absolutely incredible (you know it's authentic when the servers are speaking to each other in Italian)! We sat at the bar because they were very busy on a Saturday (definitely make a reservation) and had the best experience! Everything we ate from the bread basket and simple (but oh so flavorful) salad, to the homemade pasta and entrees, my husband and I were in foodie heaven! We are already dreaming about our next date night here. I highly recommend sitting at the bar, chatting with their super friendly veteran bartender, and enjoying delicious eats. I loved the lemon chicken and added on homemade pasta with the freshest tomato sauce that I've had since being in Italy. Don't forget to cleanse your palette with some homemade limoncello at the very end! Okay, stopping now because I'm drooling and want to run back there ASAP!

Daniel B.

Yelp
Food was first rate. Minestrone extraordinary flavor. Pasta - al dente - to perfection. Gnocchi - uniquely fine texture & flavor. But our service was neglectful, Maybe they don't like serving if you're not local?
google avatar

Nabil A.

Yelp
Food was amazing, the wine value was great, and the service was the icing on the cake, Remo was attentive and friendly, made some seat suggestions that was right on, this our new spot for authentic Italian food, we highly recommend

Marilyn W.

Yelp
My hubby and I often try to eat here when we visit Scottsdale. The food is always very fresh and delicious plus the staff there are friendly. I had the Penne with light cream sauce, zucchini and ham and hubby had the daily special. Our friend had White clam sauce on pasta - all dishes were excellent.

Yelp
We love going here for dinner whenever we're visiting Scottsdale during spring training. The food is wonderful, the service is great, and the ambiance is perfect!!

Brook D.

Yelp
We've been going to Veneto for years. Roberto and the staff are incredible. Food is authentic and reasonably priced. Service warm and inviting. They make you feel like you are a part of their family. We now live in Sun City West and either go for lunch, or make a hotel reservation nearby so that we may enjoy a special meal and actually "dine". This place is a gem. Relax and enjoy the experience. Try the grilled polenta and baccala appetizer, any pasta, meats - you can't go wrong and desserts are lovely. Enjoy!

Joel S.

Yelp
I have been going here for years for their liver & onions. The last two times the liver was overcooked. I will need to find another restaurant that can do a better job.

Thomas A.

Yelp
Phenomenal. Authentic northern Italian food with amazing servers and bartenders who are truly a family, many working together for decades! A true neighborhood gem

Yelp
This place has the best most authentic Italian food in all of Arizona. I love taking my dad here when he is in town and he loves taking clients here as well. Try the gnocchi bolognese!!!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Had diner there tonight it was great. I had the veal frances's, another had a seafood special, another had a dish of bolognese and finally one had a calamari and pasta dish. We had three appetizers as well all were delicious. We ended the meal with coffee and dessert. Perfect.
google avatar

Yael G.

Yelp
We went here for the Passover meal and it was spectacular! When you can't cook with grains/leavened bread, one typically grades on a curve, but I think all of these items would pass even on another night! The chicken broth for the matzah ball soup was spectacular. Loved every part of this meal, from the marmalade to the chicken and the almond cake for dessert. Plus they had great wine!

Yelp
My Wife and our entire family have been going to Veneto's pretty much since they first opened (approx 6 to 10 times a year). Spent a lot of money $$ there over the years. Tonight we got there and the way we were treated by the hostess was appalling, we actually couldn't believe just how rude she was. We sat down, looked at each other and said we didn't need to be treated like this and got up and left. It was so bad, will never go back. Sad, as we had a long history with this restaurant and liked the food. I don't care if it is staff or even the owner, use some decorum and respect when dealing with your customers (especially your loyal ones). We are there to have a wonderful experience for everyone (customers & staff) and happy to pay a good price $ to enjoy the evening. It isn't enjoyable, if you are dealing with someone who is both rude and crass, before you even get to your table. As mentioned, we won't go back. There are so many other restaurants in the valley that have incredible food and know how to provide a wonderful dining experience. Arrivederci !
google avatar

Steven S.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Service was great. The restaurant itself was clean and looked very nice. All in all a reach nice evening. The restaurant was only about a quarter full when we got there. They say us in the table right next to another party. There were plenty of other tables open. I'm not sure why they say is there. The workers who were off were hanging out at that bar. That seemed a little different. Because that took the attention of our servers from us. And toward everyone hanging out at the bar. But I still would go back again and suggest you go as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! This is probably my favorite Italian place in the valley. My go-to dish is the Tagliolini Tre Sapori. It's house-made spinach fetuccini with prosciutto and mushrooms in a cream sauce. SOOOO good! Their bread is also very tasty, and served with a light garlic butter. This is the one restaurant in my "Central Scottsdale" collection so far. I travel all over the valley for work, so I have my "go-to" places in every area. You won't go wrong with this place!

Yelp
Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is so lovely with exceptional service! We love this local spot and always recommend Venetos !

Yelp
I have been to the Trattoria many times always enjoyable. This past time was far from enjoyable. OK it was Super Bowl weekend. One special of the night was, home made pasta with shrimp and EVOO, was it tasty, NO. The baby shrimp were tasteless, obviously, boiled with zero spices, if they had made the shrimp scampi style the dish would have been great. We sent them back. The second dish was ok , not impressive, the chicken was nice BUT the red sauce was uneventful. And the mashed potatoes were a glob of white stuff, no salt no butter. Zero taste and barely held together. Now. The restaurant is nice, no refresh in years. It is clean and the servers and helpers are outstanding. Would I go back maybe, ???????

Katie D.

Yelp
I recently had a harrowing experience at this restaurant. My team of culinary experts and I were looking for an Italian restaurant to enjoy quality food and a good time at. We were close by to Veneto Trattoria and decided to stop. We were not dressed our best, but nonetheless we were paying customers and were seeking good Italian cuisine. Upon walking in, all of the staff stopped and stared at us. Shockingly, no one came up to help, they continued to gawk at us. Now, while I mention we weren't dressed our best, let me clarify. We had sweatshirts and crew necks on, nothing crazy like pajama pants. While I admit we were underdressed, the way we were dressed did NOT warrant that treatment. We had a busy day and that was what we were already wearing. After about 20 seconds of getting stared at, someone came to seat us. Once sat, another patron who was a regular glared at us the entire time and whispered to the wait staff. We began to look at the menu, which was incredibly complicated. Our waitress came to help us. She offered to help us with questions on the menu, and one of my team members asked her what her favorite dish was. Our waitress, Jenna, immediately responded , 'I don't have a favorite' in a snappy tone. We decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and ignored it. Unfortunately, this was not just a fluke interaction. After asking the waitress what the portion sizes were like in relation to if two of my team members should share or not, she replied 'restaurant sized portions' in the same tone as the previous misdemeanor. We had no response after that. Later on, an employee walked in the front door of the restaurant with a cat carrier and a cat litter box. So while we were being judged for not being dressed as fancy as possible, the staff was bringing A CAT through the dining room of the restaurant. An obvious health code violation. The food was okay, but unfortunately our experience was tainted by the staff. Despite being paying customers, we were treated poorly and we witnessed a health code violation. Very disappointing experience.

Yelp
This is our first time eating here. Food is wonderful the service was impeccable and the food was so well put together large portions and scrumptious to eat.

Yelp
Amazing new find. I have been visiting Scottsdale monthly for the last 3 years and cannot believe that I have not visited this place earlier. Since I stayed at the JW Marriott in Paradise Valley, this popped up on my Yelp, so needed to go try. Amazing server, cozy little place, everyone friendly and the food was amazing. Great Italian wine choices as well. The gnocchi was very fluffy and the sauce simply amazing, just right not too oily or heavy. They were flexible on non starch fro the seafood special and added some grilled veggies at no additional charge. This will definitely be my new Scottsdale favorite for Italian cuisine.

Yelp
Years ago I used to go here for dinner quite frequently, and each time was excellent. For some reason, it has been years since I've been to Venetos, and I don't know why. I had dinner here with a long time friend this past night, and it was superb. My friend said when we walked in, "This place hasn't changed a bit," and it hasn't. The decor is still the same...a cozy, old school charm. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and were seated right away since we had a reservation. Our server was an older gentleman, and he was excellent....attentive service, yet not intrusive. After telling us the specials, I asked if the kitchen could make their lemon shrimp pasta, and I was so happy when they said yes. Our wine selections were on point, the carpaccio was great just as I remembered, my friend's dover sole with risotto special was delicious, and my lemon shrimp pasta was exquisite. The shrimp was plentiful, and tasted like lemony lobster. I ate every single morsel of this divine dish. My friend ate everything on his dish as well. Our dinners were made with fresh ingredients, the portions were plentiful and the presentation was perfect. The complimentary bread basket with garlic butter was a nice addition to our meal, and we ate it all. For dessert my friend had the semifreddo al pistachio and I had the tortino di mele apple tart. Sooooooo good that we cleaned our plates. I haven't eaten this much food in one sitting, since maybe Thanskgiving. lol We lingered for quite awhile after dinner so that we could continue to enjoy our conversation and the wonderful ambience, and our server didn't rush us at all...he was very gracious. What an enjoyable dinner we had! Thank you, Venetos, for a great evening...I'm sorry that it's been years since I've been back and missed out on the "wonderfulness" of your restaurant and food, but I promise to come back very, very soon.
