Home run after home run for Veneto Trattoria! From the first bread basket to the last bite of dessert, the food was absolutely delicious while paying respect to its northern Italian roots. The lemon cream shrimp pasta was bright and light while our gnocchi Bolognese was rich and comforting. Sealed with a divinely decadent flourless chocolate cake, couldn't have left any happier. Shout out to our waiter, Will, for his fabulous recommendations all evening!

To start I am going to say that our service was less than stellar from our waitress - she forgot to put our salad in and so we never got it. She did not return to check on us. However, it seemed that she was either new or otherwise occupied or was just not a great service provider to begin with. I will still give this place a 5 star review because everything else was INCREDIBLE! The service received from the hostess was wonderful - she was especially attentive and funny. I had a special dish - tagliatelle with shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes in a Rosa cream sauce - one of the best dishes I ever had. My husband had the pork raviolis and was equally pleased. We shared a bottle of wine and desserts - affogato and tiramisu. Both were delicious but the tiramisu was exceptional. We have never experienced it served the way it was and we order it out often because it is my husband’s favorite. Overall a superb experience and meaningful since it was a celebration for my husband’s birthday. We are from northeast Pennsylvania but if we are ever back in Scottsdale, this will be on the list for sure. Lastly, we found the prices to be reasonable - another plus!

Great overall dining experience! Dimly lit, intimate Italian restaurant. Came for my partners birthday and Will took great care of us. The capriani was fantastic; they also had a watermelon salad special which was bright and fresh. My partner got the fettuccini al Sugo d’anitra was our favorite. Overall not super intense flavor. My partner got the ossobuco which he was not crazy about. Great wines and cocktails. Owner was very welcoming. I would come back!

incredible italian dining experience. you have to go with the Chicken Milanese. the food is home cooked, the service is phenomenal and the staff have all been here for years. they are so welcoming and friendly and you can’t go wrong with any dish here

Super light pasta dishes, they don’t use cream so it’s not heavy at all on your stomach. Great portion sizes. Fantastic service, and I had the Semifreddo al Pistacchio for dessert, which may have been the greatest dessert I’ve ever had.

I went there because of the good reviews but I don’t know what the hype is. I got lamb chops with mashed potatoes. Potatoes were anything but mashed. More chunky than anything and flavorless. I like creamy potatoes because of the texture and that cream adds more flavor. Lamb chops were ok, it had that mint flavoring, which did not go well with it. If you are by yourself goodluck getting a good table or good customer service. Food was not bad by any means. I could make the same meal better at home. However, tiramisu was really good

Food was great. Service was great. Jason was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable and made some good recommendations.

NO WONDER CHARLIE KIRK SAID IT WAS HIS FAVE This was phenomenal from start to finish I was greeted warmly, then seated on the lovely patio right at sunset Felt like I was in Italy I had a crisp Prosecco, enjoyed the fresh wonderful bread-- garlic butter? Delicious Lasagna with bechamel sauce- chef kiss Delicate homemade pasta layers enveloped the savory-- but not op salty-- bolognese sauce. Just delicious. I will be back

We went there with high hopes after seeing the positive reviews. The service was good but the food was very disappointing. It looks like we may have ordered the items on the menu that are dismal as I saw similar reviews on Google about their lasagna. Two big sheets of pasta slapped together with sauce, barely any meat and topped with sauce and cheese, served in a skillet- basically no layers and no meat. The chain restaurants and frozen lasagna I had definitely tasted better. The osso Bucco Milanese was the inexpensive cut of beef shank, not veal and the risotto was watery and not creamy. Brown watery liquid, not even sauce from the osso Bucco mixed with improperly cooked risotto. All for over $100+ with a glass of wine with salad and a side pasta with olive oil and garlic. Though the best dish was the side pasta, which was cooked correctly al dente.

I love this establishment! My husband and I are Italian and this family owned eatery has great Italian food. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in the area, but this place has the best food and wine. We enjoy the atmosphere as well. Unlike other trendy spots that have music blaring for the sake of perceived "energy", you can actually carry on a conversation with your table mates. Our waiters have always been A+!

This was my first time trying Veneto and the atmosphere felt like I was in a little part of Italy. A lot of pictures on the wall and statues you one came from Italy. We had the meatball to start which was amazing and pruchitta was great to. I had the chicken and the lasagna. The lasagna wasn't that flavorful but still good to me. Service was very well and will give recommendations if you ask.

What a lovely surprise this was. I have driven by this strip mall for years, but had not stopped in to try Veneto Trattoria until last night. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot which is shared with Houston's and the rest of the strip mall. We were early - we had missed lunch -so we arrived around 5:30pm with no reservation and we were able to get seated without a reservation. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy their outdoor seating. They have plenty of heat lamps if it gets a little cool. Shortly after being seated our server, Wanda, was over to tell us about specials and to take our drink order. They have a lovely fair priced wine list and I chose a nice wine for $12.50 a glass. Even their bottle prices are affordable. For dinner I asked Wanda for her opinion of the dishes I was thinking of, and she said the Milanese di Pollo was amazing so I ordered it. It is a version of Chicken Parm without cheese and it was so delicious. A little crispy on the outside and perfectly done on the inside. This is my new favorite dish! The red sauce was a nice accompaniment, but did not over power the dish. My dinner mate ordered the Scaloppine Special and ate every last bite. This is a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant that I will return to,but I think we got lucky this time and next time I will make a reservation.

Ville piccata! Ville piccata! Ville piccata! I can't say enough about the veal piccata here! I just finished getting my hair done and was looking for a good meal. Then it dawned on me. I had some of the best veal piccata that I've ever had in my life at this place! I sat at the bar as usual and Felix the bartender was absolutely amazing! Anyway, I love love, love love, love the veal piccata here! Felix told me that the head chef had the day off, so the second chef in charge made the veal piccata! Baby, it was orgasmic! If you like veal piccata, this is the place to come! It's not on the menu but you can ask for it because they always have the ingredients! Oh yeah, and the bread is outstanding! Hot and fresh out of the oven!

Food was great as always. We asked to be in the back room. We were there on a Monday at 11:30 AM at opening. Service was a little slow; we probably shouldn't have asked for the back room. Still one of our favorites!

we brought our family there for dinner tonight, including our three year old grandchild. the restaurant has no chidlren's menu. How hard is it to put a few small pasta items and small meatballs on a separate menu for children? Our granddaughter has a short fuse and somehting set her off. Our son in law was just standing up to take her away for a few minutes when the owner came over and insisted that he do so. When our son in law returned a few minutes later the owner told him that he was a bad parent. We left. We have been going there for many years but i think it will be a long time before we return. CHILDREN DEFINITELY NOT WELCOME

This was my first visit and I was very impressed. The restaurant is very inviting, warm and inviting. Excellent service, food is delicious, especially the lemon chicken which was tender and served with the BEST mash potatoes and fresh vegetables. I'll be back soon!

It's a really comfortable place to go. Will is our favorite server. The ambience is old style Italian and the food is wonderful.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, service was very good but the food was rather bland and tasteless. Was disappointed after hearing such great things.

My wife and I came across this place while looking for spaghetti for my two daughters. They squeezed us in and even though kids spaghetti wasn't on the menu they offered to make it happen for us. (Sign of true Italians.. "We make special for you!") Staff was very kind and attentive, the patio and interior were full of wonderful characters and the overall atmosphere was very charming. Food was on point and the menu was surprisingly priced well and a good value. I really enjoyed it and even though they obviously cater to an older crowd, my kids insisted that this place was 100 out of 100. Recommendation: I would keep the kids on the patio but friends and date night inside for cozy cocktails and more intimate conversations. Dress is dressy / respectfully casual. Overall, this place is a 'must visit' on my list. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

I've been here a few times and always had a good meal. This last time I sat at the bar and really enjoyed chatting with Felix the bartender. His recommended Super Tuscan wine was an excellent value. The Orecchiette Salsiccia e Broccolini with traditional Pugliese pasta sauteed with sausages and rapini was absolutely delicious.

Ok, I have been here several times. We always sit outside. We walk here. We really enjoy supporting our local businesses, but it would be so wonderful if they could just be more consistent. This restaurant is the real deal when it comes to its menu, but the dining experience is not consistent at all. We are treated hot and cold. Some wait staff is engaging and some barely check in on us at the table. Nothing worse in a restaurant than having to constantly look for the waitstaff attending to you. It is embarrassing for the guest. Somme times the waitstaff is so crabby and you feel like you are bothering them. This last time, we all looked at eachother and decided to walk back to our place for coffee, dessert, and cordials. Not nice, nor anything like the Italian experience. Best to you place with the delicious food, but it's not just about the food and I do not want to spend my hard earned money on a gamble if I am going to have the nice experience that we all deserve. You, the owner deserves it, too! I bet you do not approve of the mediocre staff that does this if you only knew so now I will share it after dining too many times to count.

We did not call to make a reservation so we got the small table right next to the bar that someone were sitting there. The food here is tasty and not too salty (I like it!). I got fettuccine with duck ragu sauce. The duck sauce is mild with a little bit of duck meat but it is delicious and goes well with the perfectly cooked fettuccine. We got tiramisu to go and this tiramisu is so delicious. I love the sauces on top. I enjoy this dessert and want to get some more.

Neighbors invited me to join them for a special Monday night dinner of Dover sole, served table side. The fish was delicious and the showmanship of the presentation made it really fun. A very nice wine list and a thoughtfully curated array of sides added to the enjoyment. One of our party had saved room for the flourless chocolate dessert. It looked amazing! Definitely worth a return visit.

Very authentic Italian food, reasonable prices, good wine list, excellent service. Couldn't ask for more.

On ambiance alone it would get 4.5. I went on a Saturday afternoon which got busier and busier as time went by. Ordered a large pizza with several toppings along with cannolis for desert. No complaints, was it outstanding no, but it was good yes. I may go back to try their lasagna or other dish to make a final decision on whether this place keeps the 4 star. The server was nice but was absent for a long spell and I had to stop a different waiter to go fetch him. Then after we requested 2 cannolis we only got one. A little tiresome, but I'll keep it at 4 stars for now. Parking was easy to find.

Terrible service. Waited 20 minutes for the waiter to take our order, finally got his attention and he hit us with an attitude. Took 75 minutes for 3 of us to eat.

We originally had a reservation for our anniversary. Upon arrival the restaurant was in the middle of the fire alarm going off. Then they closed the restaurant. The short story is we found Veneto Trattoria 5:45pm on a Thursday. I explain what happened to the hostess who took very good care of us as well as the waiter. For starters, a basket of warm, dense bread. My husband chose a mixture of seafood with homemade pasta & a delicious sauce. I asked if they would make veal piccata - YES. Not many restaurants will make it. delicious. Served with mashed potatoes, spinach & capers. The place was packed inside and out by the time we left. If we are ever back in Scottsdale, we will visit again and make a reservation.

Nice service however the kitchen was in the weeds and the entrees were not well executed. The bread service was amazing- light and crispy Italian bread slices plus fingers of focaccia served with a whipped garlic butter that was not too strong - just enough garlic and the butter was perfectly salted and well whipped. It went a bit down in quality after that. The sausages with braised savoy cabbage were nearly inedible they were so salty - and I have been accused of being heavy handed with salt! The veal parmigiana had a solid block of cheese on top - as if they forgot to put it under the salamander (broiler) before service. Not sure we will return.

Found this place by accident and was pleasantly surprised with the service, food, and atmosphere! An absolute 10/10 dinner we had at the bar. My mom and I were unsure where we wanted to eat (we are very indecisive lol), so we drove to Oliver's which had zero parking, so then we went to another Italian place which was closed, tried to go to Houston's, but it had too long of a wait.. which is when we found Veneto Trattoria! We were warmly welcomed and sat quickly at the bar where we met Felix - what a freaking guy! Super fun to talk to, great service, and recommended some excellent dishes. We loved everything we got and spent some time at the end speaking to the owner, Roberto, who was so kind and funny! Honestly, felt like eating a meal at home with family. We will for sure be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience :)

Just moved to Phoenix and came in night before Fiesta Bowl and needed a place to have New Years Eve dinner. Was struggling to find a place for 7 that was good. Got lucky unfortunately no luck withthe refs at the Fiesta Bowl and scored a table here. Set Menu, pricey but what do you expect for New Years Eve in Scottsdale. Food and service was great and owner was fun and generous giving us some free Limoncello as GA beat OSU. We still should have stomped the and won 9 out of 10 times over them Frogs but alas next year.

Yes, we did. The food was outstanding. Service was fantastic as well. We love the ambiance as this clearly is a local favorite. They are very busy, just how I envisioned a nice Italian restaurant would be. Highly recommended.

While we wanted to love this place, we found their service concerning. Walking into the restaurant we were the youngest people in there... which was fine. We actually find ourselves appreciative of boomer generation hotspots. I usually find the service in these types of establishments to be above and beyond. But this was not the case. We got our drinks quickly and were still deciding on what to order; so we asked to have a minute. BIG mistake. Our server didn't return for over 20 min. She was consumed in talking to every table except ours. She actually took a six tops order that walked in after we were sat before coming back to our table. When she did return we let her know we were trying to make it to a movie and would have to leave. No apology was extended from her or the management; the hostess or manager was informed by the server but simply smiled and told us to have a good night on our way out. I would normally have given this feedback in person but no one stopped by or asked us how our experience was. They also don't have an email I could send this to.. so posting on yelp in hopes that they can learn from this feedback. I will say my husband was concerned our treatment was due to him being the only brown person in the dining room. While I am unsure if that was the case; I think this should be noted as this perception from a guest is important.

I had the squid ink pasta with calamari. The dish was unremarkable with an over cooked pasta, rubbery calamari, and mushy peas. (Never had peas with this dish) . I just came back from northern Italy and was hoping for a similar dish, but wow this entree was terrible. The sauce was bland and added no flavor..... $25.00! The restaurant "North " offers a similar entree at $18.00 that is a 9/10. Also note the maitre d was very grumpy and wanted to sit us in the back of the restaurant when the room was 90% empty.....$10.00 for a dinner salad! Sorry very over priced, non authentic Italian food. Suggest North or Arevaderci.

Wow this place was amazing!! We came here for a Friday night dinner and it did not disappoint. This is going to be our new regular spot! Our service from Will and the waitstaff was top notch. Always refilling drinks, bread, asking if we needed anything. Will was so friendly and warm, had great recommendations! The complimentary bread was delicious. Burrata was on the special for the night and our server Will recommended extra bread for the appetizer. It was delicious! We also got the beet salad that was on special as an appetizer. Our pasta dishes turned out fabulous. So flavorful and huge portions! Can't wait to come back! There are no surprises why this is a neighborhood staple!

I go to hustons across the parking lot for years never gave this place much thought mistake on my part it was really good see why there are so busy I sat at the bat that was super busy buy the guy beside the bar are awesome keep drinks filled new the menu suggested the Osseo buco witch was grate I all so got there version of creme brulee and they say that on the menu witch is how it should be can wait to go back

Outside of my Italian father's kitchen, I can confidently say that this is the best Italian food I have had. Incredible service, wonderful staff, and world class food unite to create an exemplary experience and an inviting atmosphere.

One of our dishes had hair(s) in it. Neither waitress or manager/owner said "sorry." We were compensated by them remaking the dish. Their response was poor.

Food excellent service just ok one of the ladies looked pissed the dessert was excellent I think its a sort of Spumone Espresso was burned no Bueno Pricey for Italian Food ambiance little old .

This place is perfect. Very inviting and the food was amazing. Our server was very polite and she really knows the menu well. The lighting in the restaurant was very romantic and the the noise level was just perfect. The price for homemade pasta was just right. My husband and I will come back that's for sure.

What an incredible dining experience! Since traveling to Italy last year, nothing has quite compared until my meal here. To say the food was delicious would be an understatement! Not to mention, the staff is incredible! They make you feel like you're part of the family. Would highly recommend!

The food and service was excellent. Our server was extremely helpful with suggestions and gave us excellent service. The fish was so fresh and flavorful and had a lovely lemon butter sauce. Their very popular vegetable soup is always perfection!

Authentic Venetian cuisine. Outdoor patio is perfect on a nice evening. Portions are generous. This is a small place inside so reservations are essential. Nice selection of wines by the glass.

I absolutely love this place - low key, good food and atmosphere. There aren't too many restaurants in the area that specialize in authentic Northern Italian cuisine, so this is the place to go. Service is friendly, and staff is very helpful in describing the menu items. This is not Italian American or Godfather food - it's the real deal. So if you feel like spending a nice lunch or dinner with Venetian ambiance, this is the place to go. My favorite appetizer is the Baccala Mantecato - a modern version of my Mom's baccala. And I couldn't resist the Fegato a la Veneziana. Amazing. I have also had the pork tenderloin and my husband has enjoyed the pasta dishes. Great wine selection as well. And the desserts???? I took mine home and it was heaven - the Veneto Cioccolato Valentino. You won't be disappointed!

My first time at Veneto Trattoria was such a treat! I ordered the half ravioli half gnocchi (a special request- I couldn't decide between the two dishes so they accommodated me and gave me a bit of both!) and the apple marzipan dessert. The half and half was spectacular. My favorite of the two was the ravioli- the pasta was so silky and tender, and so gently cradled the spinach and cheese filling. It was dressed in the most gorgeous tomato garlic sauce. I honestly wish the sauce was a soup so I can drink it. The gnocchi was fine, but it's kind of hard to shine- like putting a Honda next to a Ferrari! The Apple dessert was phenomenal. The marzipan crust was so buttery and crisp and perfectly complemented the melt in your mouth apples. The vanilla ice cream melted into it and just drenched the whole thing in luxurious cream. I want it to be my death row meal.

Awesome place. A little hiccup with the doneness of my filet, but the flavors, the service and the ambience was great. We will come back for more soon.

This is the only place where I get liver and onions, I love the liver. It is so good and very, very tender. The whole menu is great, but this is a twice a year request. The rest of the year we go to the restaurant and pick anything off of the menu. I can't think of a single thing that is bad and don't leave without desert.

The wait staff was extremely great. The special veal chop was excellent with home made pasta. Salmon was wonderful. Waitress was on top of everything never waited for bread or water refill and wine refills. Definitely will return.

Food was first rate. Minestrone extraordinary flavor. Pasta - al dente - to perfection. Gnocchi - uniquely fine texture & flavor. But our service was neglectful, Maybe they don't like serving if you're not local?
