This is my 4th trip to the Marina, we have had a great experience every time we have come down from Birmingham. AL. The food is good and the view is great. The service is good too. We like the market and watching the Boats come in and unload the fish.

This marina was awesome. The restaurant was solid with great service and good food. They cooked a lot of our tuna for us blacked ahi. The onion wings are legit.

Really great place to grab some food after out on a charter. We did not stay at the marina cabins but went out for our charters there everyday. Friendly staff with a unique atmosphere.

Amazing First Deep Sea Fishing Trip in Venice, LA! Had my first deep sea fishing trip in Venice, Louisiana, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our group of five fishermen was guided by two incredible female captains and tour guides—Martha Spencer and Tori Arnona. We started out inland on two separate boats, catching fish and soaking in the beauty of the Louisiana marshes. After an awesome morning, Martha and Tori coordinated the perfect transition to deep sea fishing by setting us up together on one offshore boat with Captain Stephen Giacobbe from Go Long Charters. He took us more than 30 miles out into the Gulf, near the oil rigs, where the real offshore action began. The day was full of excitement, laughs, and serious fishing. The crew was professional, knowledgeable, and just plain fun to be around. It was the perfect mix of adventure and great company, and I couldn't have asked for a better first-time experience. Huge thanks to Martha, Tori, and Stephen—you all made this trip one for the books. Highly recommend to anyone looking to fish in Venice, LA. I’ll definitely be back!

Didn’t visit the hotel but went there to pay the guide after we came back from fishing. Cody did a fantastic job as my guide. Will definitely be coming back again next year for sure.

Went out on Blue Line Charter out of Venice Marina and Mostly everything was great. Stayed 2 nights in one of the marinas cabins and they were pretty nice although a coffee machine would have been nice. The food at Crawgators was excellent we ate there 3 times in 2 days and everything was fantastic!! My only complaint from my experience was the job the marina hands did cleaning our fish. Paid and tipped well but the filets were chopped up pretty bad with a bunch of scales bones still in them. Next time i will bring my own knives.

My “Go To” Marina. Great staff and management. The bushwhackers are legendary at CrawGators Bar.

Had such a great experience at the Venice Marina . The gumbo and red beans after a day on the water is as much needed

Yelp
How to make this place the best experience: 1)lower your rich ass, egocentric standards. 2) go to the bar, get yourself a beer all by your big boy self 3) pick a seat, anywhere of your choosing, and enjoy the view until a waitress greets you. If you do these three things, this place is awesome and food is delicious! This place can get packed and it's first come first serve. If you're in a rush don't come here. Grab some chips from the store and leave, waitress's aren't lazy, they're busy helping everyone. Also, they did still get the order wrong though, we ordered a blackened and a fried fish sandwich and they both came back fried. Not the biggest deal but like also, I saw you write our order down so WTF . So I guess tip #4 would be know they'll take your order, throw it in the trash, and you'll get what they give you. Upside: didn't think I wanted pickles on my sandwich but turns out it was great with it, they forced me to try something new. How sweet.

Yelp
Venice marina is a total rip off.. I will never go to Venice La fishing again. They charged me $634.57 to ship 30lbs of fish back home and I had to call multiple time to get the fish shipped 10 days later. The whole place is a rip off... They bill themselves as tuna town USA but it more like Rip Off City USA. We went for 3 days and paid $4400 for 2 days offshore plus $1,600 in Fuel, Plus $900 in mate tips, Plus $634 to ship 30lbs of fish back.... the total for two days not counting room and meals was $7534 and we touch the real 7 times (5 barracuda bites that snapped the line instantly and 2 fish) in over 20 hours on the water and caught 2 fish. Total waste of money.. everything in venice is over priced and under quality.. the food at the marina was poor pub food at best... Go somewhere else for your fishing experience

Yelp
My favorite on the water bar in the entire US. Has kind of a "biker bar for fisherman" vibe to it. Food is amazing. You bring your catch and they'll cook it for you. 10/10 recommend the blackened or Cajun tuna. Fried bow tie pasta is also delicious. I go at least 3 times a year.

Yelp
Cold beer. Solid food. Steamed crawfish special was great. They waitress didn't mention it, but we saw it on other tables. Bar on the other side was hopping.

Yelp
Family friendly place with surprisingly good food. I tried the fried snapper throats this weekend and to my surprise it was very good. They have a wide array of food choices to meet anyone's needs. Great place to eat and drink while your down in Venice !

Yelp
Went on a road trip today to get the Girly out of the house. Stopped at this marina and ate at its restaurant, Crawgators. The restaurant is ok. Smallish (which made the amazingly loud child at the far side sound like she was screeching in our ears from a foot away). Oddly enough, her family didn't seem to hear her hardly at all. The decor is simple and the menu is small. Not what I expected from a place on the water that has tons of fresh fish and seafood at its finger-tips. The waitress forgot to bring us silverware but was adequate in every other way. Quite friendly and attentive. The prices were exceptionally high for what I thought a little marina restaurant for fishermen would be. The po boy we shared was 13 dollars. And I had wanted to get a bowl of gumbo. But it was 13 bucks a FRICKIN BOWL! 13! 10+3 more bucks! For a BOWL of soup! It was 11 bucks for a bowl of chili. HUH? Why? I know the area is a little remote but you don't have to fly the food in on choppers do you? Having said that, the poboy tasted ok but the batter was way too thick. The bloomin' onion like item was expensive and also waaay over battered. Each time we tried to pull off a piece, we got nothing but the hard shell. Like empty crab legs. The Marina itself is, of course, a fisherman's dream. As we were leaving, we saw some guys down at the dock, cleaning fish the size of The Girly. If I had a cooler and ice with me, I'd have try to buy some redfish from them. I'd love to go back to the marina...but would probably grab a lunch before getting there.

Yelp
Best place hands down for fishing, amazing food and kind people. We have been here many times and it never disappoints us.

Yelp
the marina is fantastic! The resturant is ok. charter fishing is great. the fish packing is a reap off. if you are not prepared and have to use them. Understand they are going to take fish. There is absolutly nothing you can do! they will tell you you are going to get rubbed! They were my only option so i got robbed. they took 22lb of tuna and 15 lb of wahoo. i know the number becase they will let you wiegh it before and after but nothing you can do about the difference. this is a warning, come prepared to handle your fish or they will!

Yelp
Venice marina is the only game in town as they are a 1 stop, do-it-all business. Unfortunately, they don't do anything particularly well. The store has terrible business hours closing way too early and few too many items available for purchase... The restaurant has rude, slow service with overpriced food and drinks (although the mixer I had was a heavy pour-maybe to numb the rude and slow service or mediocre food. The bait shop forgot half my order 2 out of 3 days! Thank God We checked our order before setting out to the Gulf. I won't be back-EVER.

George D.

Yelp
Other than cold beverages, and eventually if you ever got your food service , good food. The wait staff was rude, intentionally not servicing our table . Other patrons around us left early due to poor waitstaff service. by 830 in the evening, they ran out of food and ice!!

Yelp
A few days after Mardi Gras a buddy and I went down to Venice site seeing and in search of a good place to eat. We found the marina and were shocked at the prices! After careful review of the menu we decided on the seafood platter for two$30, the beer seemed like they were from $4 - $6 each. YEA! The place has a great view and I got some great pix of pelicans waiting for fish to be cleaned as the sports fishing boats came in with tuna and other nice size fish from two to three feet. The boat owners that charter the trips are more proud of their services than the marina food prices! They took their sweet time to give us plenty of time to drink those high dollar beers. I must say that that the meal was a very tasty! All in all, it was much better than a lot of meals that I have had that cost more in New Orleans.

Yelp
Shady, thieving, unprofessional, poor excuse for a business. We had a great time charter fishing but when it came to processing our fish and shipping it home, they gave us a price and receipts for less than 600 bucks and charged our card over a 1000 dollars and never shipped our fish. They still haven't refunded our 200 bucks for cleaning and processing of the fish we never received. Avoid this place if you like keeping your hard earned money!

Yelp
Great Marina with some of the best fishing and fishing guides in the WORLD. Some have called it Tuna Town. We flew to NOLA and drove down, it's farther down than u think, most of the drive we kept looking at the levees on either side of the road, you are basically below sea level for most of the ride down, once at the marina there is an entire village built around the fishing industry, most of the catches we saw were tuna, reds, amberjack. We went out for yellowfin. Caught some bluefin and plenty of amberjack, yellowtail bite was off, the scenery was unreal fishing around huge oil rig platforms, and there are lots of them out there, we stayed at Saltgrass Outfitters, not far from the marina (30min) the marina has a processor that cleaned our fish and shipped them home for us, wasn't cheap but man it was easier than taking all that fish back on a plane. I will definitely go back and chase the yellowtail :)

Yelp
Food is ok but priced pretty high. It is served on paper plates with canned vegetables. The only reason I would ever go back is to watch the fishing boats return.
