"Since 2013, Ventnor Coffee has been a go-to spot to get your favorite specialty latte or robust cup of coffee. Enter the creative license plate-adorned entryway—the space was once a garage repair shop—and order an iced or hot caffeinated or decaf beverage. Take your drink of choice and latest book to a cozy seat inside or find a spot outside on the patio where you can relax and enjoy your coffee. Open mic nights and live music events are also popular draws at this Jersey Shore coffee spot." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Google
I was visiting the Atlantic City area with my boyfriend, I searched for coffee shops in the area. We were so disappointed with our experience. The girl working was closing early, the customer before us left without buying anything. The employee stated all she had was already brewed coffee and all the machines were shut off 25 minutes before closing, it was the worst coffee I ever had. We both ended up throwing it out after a sip. 10/10 don't recommend this coffee shop, especially if its more then a mile drive from where you are, its not worth wasting gas on.

Google
Great vibes at this coffee shop. The people are incredibly friendly and the drinks taste great. I got some pink cloud latte that has strawberries and white chocolate and it was delicious. There’s plenty of space both inside and outside. The bathroom is also very clean. I’m glad I stopped here.

Google
Good atmosphere, coffee wasn't as good as going in with expectations ( got a dirty chai) and just tasted like a tea bag nothing else. Probably would just go once and never again. Friendly and good service of course! Went out of their way to address concerns on a coffee and that was great to see.

Google
One of the more interesting coffee shops. Lots to absorb with cool and interesting decor. Specialty coffee was good although I'm not sure if it was just really tasteful flavoring

Justin Newswanger

Google
Classic little coffee shop with tasty coffee. There are comfy couches and chairs. I recommend this place due to its coziness!!

Google
Super cute coffee shop. The decor is awesome & cool. Love the entrance. The staff was super nice. Coffee and cupcake was delicious. Glad I stopped in on a whim. Will be back as I live nearby

Google
What a pleasant and wholesome atmosphere. The young ladies who work here are so kind and give so much love and attention to their cafe drinks. The menu is amazing and lengthy, they remade my drink for me even though I forgot to ask for no milk - super nice. Lavender matcha late — win win win!

Google
First time here and I must say I like this place. The atmosphere is unique, hip, warm, cozy, and includes a nice outdoor set up. The staff is kind, efficient, and very knowledgeable. Oh yeah, the coffee is delish with many options to choose from. They also have agave as a sweetener, iykyk. Whenever I’m in AC, this will be my go to coffee spot!

Brittany K.

Yelp
Equally adorable and comfortable setting! Ventnor coffee is such a nice place to enjoy a pastry and beverage. There's plenty of seating that includes several couches and even a children's play area. The menu hosts all the basics like your drip coffee, lattes and americanos. But keeping in line with the big players, they offer the fun trendy drinks too! The service is very friendly and the prices are what you'd expect.

Lauren K.

Yelp
Adorable coffee shop with a large seating area inside and outside that has a funky vibe, tons of cozy seating, and great coffee options. They also have some fresh pastries on the counter - turnovers, biscotti, a few options of muffins. Everything is very reasonably priced and there is no incremental service charge for using credit card. Conveniently located on Dorsey Ave with ample street parking outside.

Nicole A.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop on the outskirts of AC, we stopped by here on our way out from the casinos the night before. They didn't have a menu up at the time I came, but I was able to see most of their specials here on yelp and the owner was very kind and said she could make anything I requested. I went with the Dirty Banana latte I saw online and it met expectations. The banana taste was not artificial and the coffee was strong. Their flavors all seem very interesting and I'd love to come back to try them!

Yelp
This was a lovely coffee shop right in the middle of Ventnor. The ambiance was so cute and I loved all the decorations. The barista was very kind and helpful with suggestions. My favorite part, however, was the Taylor Swift themed drink selection. There were drinks called Lover, Lavender Haze, Cowboy, and a couple others. This really tickled my fancy! I, of course, got the Lover drink which was absolutely fabulous! It was a latte with oreo and vanilla I think. Very different and new from some typical coffee shops. Would definitely recommend!

Kristina B.

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop down the shore- a great place to stop in on the way to the beach or anytime. They have a great selection of coffee with a new local brand Deez Nutz, which was delicious. The place has a great vibe and worth checking out.

Vincent M.

Yelp
I'm not in the area often, but had the recommendation from a friend. Went with my typical iced mocha. Good coffee, rich, and the mocha is on the sweeter side since they use Hershey's Chocolate Syrup. Friends I was with had some other coffees and really liked everything (they were still talking about them the next day.)

Peter C.

Yelp
Totally a beach coffee place. Relaxed atmosphere and fair coffee. They offered a wide variety, but didn't have much in the way of food. There was a stage in there for solo performing acts. Honestly, if I lived in Ventnor, I probably wouldn't go there as it would be crowded with vacationers.

Alison A.

Yelp
This place is my ride or die. Plus, my name is on the wall (in a heart). Banana bread latte is my FAVORITE! Please stay open forever and ever

Linda D.

Yelp
Great place, great vibe.. coffee is okay however. I'm a coffee drinker and I like a better bean coffee. But worth the trip for atmosphere

Cat D.

Yelp
Love finding 5-star coffee houses in Jersey! This place is a true gem. Relatively modest from the outside, it's warm and quirky inside - they offer tarot readings some days. We got an iced coffee and - one of their specialties - a banana bread latte (with oat milk). The iced coffee was by far the best we'd had on our week-long trip to Cape May, and the banana bread latte was nothing less than an espresso-based miracle in a cup. Such a delight - I was crushed when my flailing baby kicked over my cup into the dog bowl under the table. They were kind enough to make me a replacement drink. Very kind, friendly staff. Saw dogs both inside and out!

Sophia M.

Yelp
Community-oriented coffee shop with quick, kind service and lovely drinks. There's some outside seating and many chairs and couches inside. Classic interior with posters, flyers for local events, and books available for reading. Metal straws on sale up front for $4. Everything seems reasonably priced for the 10/10 quality you're getting for the drinks, service, and atmosphere. I got a lavender lemonade, the floral-citrus combo is so refreshing (and they use real lemons!). I also got a sweet, creamy iced chai latte with oat milk. I think there was too much ice but that's because I like about 1 cube in my drinks lol, I'm sure if you asked they could lighten the ice. As of right now I think they open some time from 7-9 am? They close at 6 pm most days of the week except on Saturdays, there's an open mic from 7-9 pm. There's a florist nearby, an Italian restaurant, a liquor store, and an ice cream shop. So if you find yourself in the area, definitely grab a drink from here (and remember to tip!)

Allison K.

Yelp
Good coffee, nice pastries, owner gets to know customers. Dog friendly! Coffee options are great plus you can customize

Marilyn W.

Yelp
I was glad to find this unique coffee shop, the coffee was awesome to the last drop. Courtney and Bob were exceptionally happy to have some new visitors and have great personalities making you feel right at home, met Bob's wife Christine on our third visit to celebrate my 85 birthday. If anyone is looking for a great place to have coffee this is it and I have been drinking it for more thank 60 years and this spot makes it that even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this great place for all who love coffee and beautiful people who work there. This establishment also has open mic opportunities for those who are interested and a shop for tarot cards and reading.

Amanda S.

Yelp
This is my favorite coffee shop at the shore. The vibe is great and the speciality coffees are out of this world! I highly recommend the banana bread latte, I always order it iced. However, sometimes when they're supposed to be open, they aren't and driving all the way there to find them closed can be disappointing. Things happen though so I would still highly recommend their coffee and muffins but would call ahead if you live farther away.

Inna Z.

Yelp
It's a very cool coffee shop with nice outdoor area. They had plenty of tables inside and outside. We had hot latte, iced latte and macaroons. Everything was delicious but hot latte was my favorite. Barista was very friendly and the bathroom was nice and clean.

Jon P.

Yelp
I tired this place last year, almost gave up on it. The coffee was good and cool little spot to stop in there. Last year it seemed like every time we went in there they would get our order wrong. Well they change workers and not only do the orders come out right the are quicker too.

Fatty D.

Yelp
Still not the first second or third choice. This place never has its full menu of coffees so it becomes a waste of time to stop here. Plus, too many times the person behind the counter gives off an attitude. Let's hope a real coffee shop will open at Ventnor Plaza by Summer. That should help the area!

Vishal P.

Yelp
This is a cool little café in Ventnor. The venue used to be a car garage that they re-fitted into a café. The Decour is nifty, local art on the walls, a bicycle a sled and a snowboard on the ceiling, and a space in the back for live music. They have a nice list of coffees and teas at affordable prices. I had the zombie cure, which is extra caffeinated coffee brewed with coconut. The only food they have are some snacks and pastries which are probably store-bought, but they're still pretty good. Plenty of seats and tables if you just want to break, or if you want to study or do some work

Lisa J.

Yelp
I was in the neighborhood grabbing lunch and wanted to get my daily ice coffee and a worker nearby recommended. So I thought I would check it out and it is a Great place to grab a coffee! With nice and welcoming staff!

Michelle Z.

Yelp
My first time in Ventnor city and I didn't want like the basic Starbucks coffee. Was looking at local coffee shop and came upon this which was 5 mins walk from the Airbnb I was staying at. It is a nice, cozy coffee shop. The staffs are super nice and friendly. I ordered the ice vanilla latte and I have to stay, it tasted great and different from what I get from Starbucks and tim hortons. I got my bf a regular hot coffee and he loved it. Definitely a place to go to when you are in the area. The price is similar to Starbucks coffee

Della D.

Yelp
I'm in town visiting and went searching for a good, independent coffee shop. This came up with good reviews so I dropped in to check it out. VERY cool!!!!!!! Nice, chill, laid back vibe. Funky, spacious interior. Lots of comfy seating. Ryan made me a DELICIOUS latte called The Dirty Banana!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!! I'm SO thankful and live for places like this!!!!!!! I will come here EVERY TIME I'm in town!!!!!!! Ryan ROCKS on customer service!!!!!!!!!

Grace C.

Yelp
This is a fun local place. We came to visit Ventor and this was a highlight of the trip. It's a pet friendly location which is great for us. Next time we are in town we will be back!

Shelly G.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop. It has a very cute Brooklyn-ey feel to it. This is my go to shop when I want to study and sit in a coffee shop. The drinks here are delicious and I usually get the Nutella latte. They sometimes have live bands playing here but I haven't been there for that. All in all great place in this area!

Chris P.

Yelp
Drove from AC to Ventnor Coffee because of the high rating. Was very disappointed. I ordered a latte and my wife ordered a Chai tea something. Both were lacking in flavor and tasted watered down. Wound up chucking them instead of drinking them. Hoping the experience was an anomaly, but I'd look to trying something else before returning to Ventnor Coffee.

Kevin S.

Yelp
I am a self confessed coffee snob, but I will go to Wawa, Starbucks, Dunkin or 7-Eleven if I have to. Luckily, I do not need to when I vacation in Longport. Go here, skip the convenience store! (It's worth the drive if you're downbeach in Longport.) I first went to Ventnor Coffee a few years back and did not review it because I wanted to see of they had staying power. It has it, and it's just gotten better each year. The coffee, the ambience (just go and soak in the signs and, well just go.) On a recent Sunday morning, a guy in his 60s was picking an acoustic guitar, signing Beetles songs. Very cool. The specialty tea and cold drink board was impressive this August, and my teen daughter tried to drink her way down the board, but we were only in town for 4 days. We'll be back - every day were are on the island.

Victoria M.

Yelp
The banana bread latte is delicious! Also the staff was friendly, definitely will go again.

Gina P.

Yelp
Cold brew is strong and everyone is super friendly! It quickly became my go to coffee shop

AJ A.

Yelp
I've never been to a coffeeshop quite like Ventnor Coffee before. You look up and there is a garage door on top of you and you look ahead and there is a small stage and you wonder where you are. While I came through and no one was here, I can see this spot being packed towards the end of the week as local artists come here to perform weekly and folks sit back to catch up with friends. What I love about this place is the atmosphere -- kinda homey kinda grungey but in the best way possible. Definitely give it a go if you're in the area.

Lisa H.

Yelp
This is the best coffee in the area, hands down. It's such a cute space and the owners are really friendly. I'm new to the area and Laura gave me the full rundown of the best restaurants, grocery stores, etc. I can't wait for the pandemic to be over because I'd love to hang out here and work. I'm particularly fond of the Anchors Away latte. It's 3 shots of espresso, steamed half and half and two types of syrup. Trust me, get it, it is so good! Everyone needs to make sure this business survives the pandemic because it's really special. Make sure you get here. It's worth the drive no matter where you are on the island.

Rory M.

Yelp
Great, local coffee shop. Very interesting and fun vibe inside- and a great place to sit and do work with their free wi-fi. You can even drink your coffee in a pirate ship outside! Coconut lovers - the Zombie iced coffee is an absolute MUST! The coffee is roasted with coconut, but there are no syrups used to flavor the coffee. DELICIOUS!

Jody J.

Yelp
Picture this: you're down the shore with your family for Labor Day Weekend. The kids wake everyone up early so you all decide to walk to the cute coffee shop around the corner for some Saturday morning treats. You walk in, there are several other patrons inside, and you go to the counter and everyone starts deciding on what they want. The adults are excited for caffeine, the kids are excited for muffins. Unbeknownst to you and the rest of the family, the owner of the shop has some sort of beef with a member of the family, and tells her to get out. Realizing that you are related to this person the owner doesn't like, she demands that you all also leave. Your 8 year old? Yep, she has to get out, too. You literally have NO IDEA what is going on and why you're being asked to leave (you actually think she's joking). She continues to repeat that you have to get out. You ask why? What did we do? She continues to demand you leave. Everyone is looking at you. You usher your children outside, who begin crying because they don't understand why they can't have the muffins they were promised. You are speechless. You are dumbfounded. You feel humiliated. But mostly, you are really sad that your kids just witnessed such unnecessarily cruel behavior. This was the experience I had at Ventnor Coffee. My family and I were (and still are) completely disgusted by how this woman treated us - again, there were children present. If you want to ban my relative that you hate from your shop, go ahead. That's none of my business. But the rest of us were guests in Ventnor and had never even stepped foot in this woman's shop before. I had no motive other than to enjoy some coffee and pastries with my family. We try to teach our kids compassion, understanding and to be kind to one another. It seems the owner of Ventnor Coffee still needs to learn that lesson. We went to Ventnor No7311 instead and it was delicious. Highly recommend. And bonus: they don't yell at your kids.

Victoria O.

Yelp
The banana bread iced latte is absolutely to die for. The service was great and fast and the employees were so friendly and welcoming. It's definitely a coffee place I'll go back too.

Rell I.

Yelp
Prices are great many different mix's of coffee .. With milk or almond, soy, coconut milk many choices to pick from .. Overall coffee is good many sweets to pick from. Like the garage look very comfy vibe nice down to earth people. If your in AC and are in dire need of a good coffee this is the place to drive too.. I haven't tried the other foods or sweets they have. overall, this review is simply based on the coffee and inside vibe.

Brad E.

Yelp
Local cafes are always great and I was really excited to find out that one decided to open up in Ventnor. I went today for the first time and had a really great latte, while my girlfriend sipped on a cold iced tea. It was really cool to see that they turned what used to be an auto-body shop into an open-air cafe. There's lots of room and plenty of tables to either sit in and drink or hang out side on Dorset Ave. You can even grab a book off their bookshelves to read while you enjoy your beverage. The cafe was promoting their Open Mic night, which is something that all good cafes should have. I'll have to update my review when I attend one. I even heard something about having an Open Mic for Comedians (that'd be super cool)! Overall, give this place a try, and support the local business!

Hiro K.

Yelp
This is what Ventnor needed! They had a grand opening yesterday and a soft opening a couple days before. Though the grand opening didn't have every coffee in yet, I'm looking forward to the full menu. I always enjoy seeing commercial buildings reform into something new. A church into a residential home. A barn into a software company. In this case, a auto repair garage into a coffee shop. There's comfortable seating inside and patio sets outside. What better way to enjoy the ocean and bay air than sitting outside sipping a cup of coffee in the summer? The interior is bright and airy with wifi connection, tons of books to read, and a TV as well as a place for your kids to play. I can't believe the transformation from the grungy garage to the hip modern concrete counter tops, lighting, ceiling fans, etc. Check out the transformation they did at their facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/ventnorcoffee This is an ideal place to just relax and chill out. Bring a friend or two.

Rich R.

Yelp
Awesome little local coffee spot. It's a great place to stop in for a real cup of coffee, latte, or mug of tea. They have a huge selection and offer a variety of seasonal options. They have daily fresh pastries that vary every time you are in and I've never had a bad one. I only make it in during the day due to my schedule but they seem to have nightlife events like karaoke and local bands. The girl that works there is pretty cute also. Highly recommend this place.

Linda G.

Yelp
I still go to Ventnor coffee but the quality of the coffee has not improved . I like to support small businesses but honestly, the coffee is not good. The live music nights are great but it would be nicer if it was set up as a coffee house with small tables and chairs, not lines of chairs facing the stage which are hard to get to or leave quietly . Kind of silly for a coffee house A few months later and the coffee is still not good. I have been to a few music nights which are fantastic .

Michael M.

Yelp
Great Staff, authentic coffee shop. Stop going to big franchises and support the local businesses.

Amanda S.

Yelp
This place made me so happy! I finally found a great coffee spot at the Jersey shore points. The quality of the coffee is great and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere is also great for all ages. The mural of coffee beans at the beach is adorable.

Alex P.

Yelp
Great little gem. This place is a comfy homey place run by some really nice people Cool vibe great atmosphere and comfortable. Great selection of beverage. It definitely does not have a corporate coffeehouse vibe They have all types of music events here and are supporting the local musicians and original music. Saturday open mic can find locals along with semi pro musicians that are passing through A really cool place and a must stop when in the ventnor Atlantic city area

Tia M.

Yelp
Good coffee. My husband really liked the one infused with coconut. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Great decor. Just wish they would have had more breakfast pastries to go with the coffee. Mainly had cupcakes. Kids were happy but I was wanting something more traditional. :)

Ellie B.

Yelp
Ventnor coffee for the win! Atmosphere: love the way this place looks on the inside, and outside. It's nice and cozy, a nice place to work or study, with your coffee, but at the same time, a fun place to hang out with your friends. Price: Some drinks are over priced, and not worth it, like the Nutella latte. But hey, Starbucks is overpriced too, and we keep going there, now don't we? Coffee itself: Black coffee, and iced coffee is cheaply priced, but not cheaply made. It's good! On the other hand, some of their "fancy smancy lattes" aren't as great as Starbucks, or your average local coffee shop. Definitely NOT bad though. Live entertainment: Sometimes, a live performer will come in, guitarists, singers, bands, you name it. It's fantastic. Coffee AND a show. Now that's something you won't get at Starbucks. Overall, this place is good, and I'm glad it opened up. Check it out when you need caffeine, or a small snack.

Heather F.

Yelp
Great coffee shop! Fun and relaxing and great staff....love them over there!! Open mic nights and local performances make it so fun to hang out at. And they painted building blue last week....looks great!

Jessica C.

Yelp
What a great, authentic coffee shop in Ventnor! I come to Ventnor often and noticed during my last trip a lot of people hanging outside of Ventnor Coffee in the middle of the day. There was even music playing and it seemed like a party was going on. I made it my mission to stop here on my way home and I am glad I did. There are the normal coffee drinks to choose from. I am a latte girl so I didn't really bother reading the menu. I was happy that Ventnor Coffee also offers almond milk upon request. The coffee shop looked like a typical coffee shop with couches, tables, board games and a small stage. They even provide a few tables outside which is great because Ventnor is a shore town. Sitting outside gives you a great view of the marina. I would like to stop here again and spend more time rather than taking my coffee to go.

Viking W.

Yelp
Awesome little spot, very nice atmosphere. Loved how they turned a garage in to a sweet coffee shop.

Bill S.

Yelp
Great place to sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee and a cool vibe. The owners and staff are teriffic and have become my friends. They are also pet friendly and always have a biscuit or 2 (or 3) for my bassets! For a great jolt of java try their Zombie coffee...

Ben S.

Yelp
Best coffee in nj. It's a great special place. The theme is cool and they have a giant pirate ship outside. A greAt local place. Everone is nice. I would totally tell everone to go here. They have a stage and events all the time

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Great local coffee shop. I lived nearby when the first opened and have been coming in since. They are not only a great coffee shop but they are playing an active role in revitalizing the neighborhood with evening entertainment.

Ashley H.

Yelp
This place is pretty neat and a much better local alternative to some national chains. (I'm looking at you Starbucks) The lattes and iced coffee here are always on point and I've never had an issue. They also offer almond milk as an alternative which is something I wish more places would start doing! Just yesterday I saw they were offering a Nutella latte which I got iced and was very pleased with it. The people here are also always very friendly, definitely a chill place to hang out and enjoy a coffee.

TAmi S.

Yelp
Excellent coffee! What a delight to have a lovely, delicious coffee shop in Ventnor. Service is excellent. Wonder little little place Very clean & great service!!!
