"Ventnor Sports Cafe is closing after 14 years of giving Adams Morgan a place for fans to bond over ballgames and chicken wings. The popular bar and restaurant’s social media accounts shared the news today with a photo of a handwritten message from owner Scott Auslander, who later confirmed it in a phone call with Eater. Ventnor will remain open until the end of the month. Auslander says the original lease he signed in 2005 expires November 30, and he doesn’t have plans to renew it. “It’s just been 14 years,” Auslander tells Eater. “There’s really nothing more to say.”" - Gabe Hiatt

Excellent service and food! Arrived around 5pm on a Wednesday and it was a little slow, not a sports fan so I am assuming it was not a game night. This made for a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Very attentive staff who will never let drinks be empty. Food was delicious and came out very timely. I was nervous because it was a "sports bar" but just think Applebee's type atmosphere. Highly recommended overall!

Went for a happy hour here and it was great! No frills, just great burgers (Only $5 on Tuesdays!) and drinks. There were a ton of great beers, and I was surprised that they actually had a few different types of cider. I think I found my new neighborhood spot :)

Google
The TL;DR: One of the best burgers and happy hours in DC. It's a sports bar and a little divey. Hosts a great community of regulars. Give it five minutes and you'll fall in love with the experience. Try: The Burger Smoked Salmon Grilled Cheese Oysters their homemade pickles Tuesday Happy Hour specials ------------ If you would like to know more about my first experience, continue reading. ------------ My very first time at Ventnor Sports Cafe was one I will never forget. I had left work early to visit a barber in the hopes of finding a regular one in DC. The wait there was close to two hours so I left my info with them and decided to find a bar to get some food and a beer. I walked up the street to find what appeared to be just another sports dive bar. To my surprise, the staff and handful of customers were among the most welcoming and informative bunch I had met in DC. The bartender was very passionate and knowledgeable about the current selection of daily rotating beers on tap. She quickly identified what I like and found the perfect beer for the day. I was hungry too and wanted the Southwest Burger but she and her loyal group of regulars convinced me that in order to enjoy a burger there, I wouldn't need anything more than The Burger, their most basic hamburger. I now rave to all my friends that their burgers are arguably one of the best if not the best in DC. And after one bite, the verbal defenses for their favorite DC burger begin to deteriorate. Her regulars also took it upon themselves to include me in the general conversation, welcome me to their community, and give me their unanimous opinion that I shouldn't go to that barber. Given how DC is known for cold people, this was a completely shocking experience. And it says a tremendous amount about the restaurant when the staff and owner have fostered such a loyal group of customers and have inspired them to be open and welcoming rather than inclusive. Since then, I have been an unfortunately infrequent regular but each time I go, the experience is always excellent and unique. Such as when they hosted a Sharknado 3 viewing party with themed cocktails and beers.

Went for Crab Night on 7/24. Their annual event definitely gets you your money's worth as they provide unlimited sides of corn bread, mac and cheese, corn on the cob and spinach bowls as well. Bar gives out free popcorn and the tots from the menu are awesome. Definitely worth checking out if you're going to watch any game they can usually accommodate for any sport..

Google
Got the fish and chips and they both tasted exactly the same as in the same grease, which was on full display since the breading on the fish was quite thick. Fish tacos also ordered by our party were pretty much the same. Don't know what they do well food wise but it was decidedly unimpressive, even for a sports bar. Add to that the fact that they couldn't change the channels on three of the TVs around us (or so they said even tho nobody else was watching them) and I'm left wondering, is this really a sports bar?

Noel Johnson

Google
I think this is the best sports bar in DC; the food is definitely a level above traditional sports bar food. Also, they have so many TV's, they'll always hook you up with the game you're looking for. I've been going here about 8 years or so and the staff has always been friendly and on point.

Google
Food is great (nachos, thai peanut wings, smoked salmon and arugula grilled cheese, and fish tacos are some of the highlights for me)! The bar tenders take the time to know your name and are generally excellent conversationalists. Plenty of TVs and they take requests for your favorite sporting event. This is my go-to neighborhood bar!

Visited Ventnor's to watch the Oscars. They had a great red carpet themed menu and really tasty best picture inspired cocktails. I had the La La Lemonade, and it was YUM! Quick and kind service. I would visit again for another fun viewing event.

Yelp
Ooooh, Friday night karaoke!!! This was my first time at this spot -- I was with some friends and we just knew we had to sing. The bar is in the basement, is fairly long and narrow, and the karaoke setup was pretty cool. The host just had the songs going back to back, which really saved on time and was cool. It was helpful we could see the queue on Karafun as well! I didn't realize this was the same spot that has Filipino food -- it was too late for the kitchen, but I'll have to keep that in mind for next time. Perhaps I'll come extra early for karaoke to eat some. The vibe of the people, the vibe of the staff, the vibe of the karaoke host... I gotta say I really enjoyed the place! I'm eager to return.

Yelp
Popped in here with friends to watch football and grab dinner. It's a narrow space under Tiki on 18th with TVs covering almost every wall. We were all pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was, since we were just expecting standard sports bar fare! We shared four items: lumpiang Shanghai, mumbo salmon lettuce rolls, spicy pork sisig, and the jojo pansit. Everything was incredible. I loved how crispy the lumpiang was and the mango chili dipping sauce was great. The sauce on the lettuce rolls was SO good. We wanted to get the beef pares but they were out, so hope to try that again in the future. I'm glad I didn't know it was associated with Tiki on 18th before because I would have missed out on some delicious food. I stopped going to Tiki on 18th because they are predatory with the 20% included gratuity, by only showing you a final total on the card reader and automatically prompting for additional 20% tip. All that to say, I'll make an exception for The Game because the waitress reminded us about the included 20% which I appreciated and the service was excellent.

Yelp
I was craving for your typical non-bar food. And since I'm Filipino, I'm going to be bias...I was so ecstatic to find this hidden gem. Food is authentic, and when was the last time you saw Lumpia instead of fries? Truly food was exceptionally awesome!!!! Thank you for being you and not succumb to the stereotypes.

Yelp
It's a sports bar, but they've got some delicious food. If you're nice they'll even let you order from this menu at Tiki on 18th (the upstairs bar). Span and Cheese Fries - I didn't know I needed this in my life, but I loved it. They didn't skimp on the cheese. Game Day Nachos - Super loaded and delicious. The pork belly was a delicious fatty addition to the crispy chips. The Sixth Man - Crispy and delicious sandwich. The sriracha yum yum sauce added a great kick.

Yelp
We went last night for happy hour, and split the burger and pork adobo. Both dishes were very good. Drinks were also good, and staff was excellent. I definitely want to go back

Laura P.

Yelp
Happy hour and drinks and dinner and karaoke with my running crew. We accidentally became the majority of the participants for karaoke. I really like that you can get both tiki drinks/food from upstairs and beers/burgers and such from the basement bar. Friendly, chill service, big portions of nachos, fries.

Yelp
They have the best sisig in DC! I've never dined in the place. I've only picked up food or got it delivered.

Yelp
Happy two-year anniversary to The Game! This place makes me beam with Filipino pride - I have been a few times to both the pub and the Tiki bar. The outdoor dining stands out, yet fits perfectly in, among 18th Street with its hanging lights and blasting music. Favorite food: Sisig (for pork + spicy lovers, but they even have a vegan), beef pares (braised beef in broth), pancit (stir-fry noodles), and ginataang hipon (shrimp with butternut squash served in coconut milk). Wow, I usually don't enjoy restaurant pancit but I really liked what they prepared. If you've never had lumpia before, everyone needs to try it. You probably can't go wrong with whatever Filipino food you choose on the menu. Desserts rotate but they usually have halo-halo, which is shaved ice with coconut, leche flan, ube ice cream, and other toppings that you mix together. Favorite drinks: Get a Tiki cocktail! I like the Jungle Bird (rum based), and for the winter, Cocoa Coco Loco (boozy hot chocolate). They also switch up the menu quite a bit, with specials on the weekend, so there's more than enough reasons to return. I took my parents here and they're usually hard to please at restaurants, not to mention their own cuisine, and they really enjoyed the food here! Plus, the service was excellent. Jojo treated us well. My mom even requested Filipino ginger tea (salabat), which is not on the menu but he went ahead and had it made for her. Ang galing!

Kristen C.

Yelp
HALO-HALO tastes just like my moms, I loved it. The upstairs is the tiki bar and the downstairs is more chill and laid back. They're popular here for their sigsig but I didn't try (pescat

Yelp
You wouldn't think it from the name of the joint, but The Game Sports Pub is a Filipino restaurant that serves tropical-themed cocktails. Yum! The name kind of sounds like it'd be a random dive where you might find lots of flat screens and a fatty beer selection. However, I don't remember seeing any TV screens in the main area where the bar is and the beer selection isn't that big (but still good!). The food is delicious! If you're not Filipino, you probably won't be familiar with most of the menu, but I recommend being adventurous and trying something new! Most Filipino food doesn't require an acquired taste. Food I ate: 1) Spicy Sisig - grilled pig ears, crispy pork belly, chicken liver aioli, soy seasoning, labuyo pepper, added egg and garlic fried rice 2) Lumpiang Shanghai - pork and mushroom spring rolls with mango chili vinegar Cocktail I drank: Nitro Trinidad Sour - Angostura Bitters, Whiskey, Orgeat, Lemon I recommend all of the above! I can't wait to come back to try their other menu items like their halo-halo. I'm a Filipino dude whose eaten at many Filipino joints so I think you can trust me when I say that this is a great spot to grab Filipino cuisine whether it's your 1st or 1500th time grabbing some.

Yelp
Watched pro football on Sunday, and it was a lot of fun. Looks like it was remodeled from when it was the Ventnor Sports Bar. New management, and MUCH better than before. Service was great and there are plenty of TVs to catch your team on. I had a burger and fries and my girlfriend had the salmon with bok choy and the burger was great. The fries were excellent. Some good microbrews on the menu. Cool spot.

Steve A.

Yelp
I like the chill atmosphere. Much classier than most divey sports bars and still very casual. The Game is a good hangout. Even though it kind of looks like a basement. The patrons the last few times weren't as sloppy mess and were respectful to each other. I came with a friend to drink and watch football. It wasn't totally crowded like we expected it would. There were only a few people at the bar, and there were a few more at a table. It seemed like a pretty relaxed place. There weren't any loudmouths you encounter at most bars where people watch sports on TV. I got a vodka because it was happy hour. The wells are about $5 so a good deal for these. I was pleased to find a few vegetarian items. We ordered the veggie kropek. It's $5 for a basket. These are vegetable puffs served with a spicy vinegar. It tasted like rice cakes that actually have flavor. These were surprisingly very good, and they were much healthier than anything else on the food menu. The Game is one of DC's best sports bars. It has good people and good food. There's lots of TVs throughout the place so you don't have to crowd at the bar to watch.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go here for a long time and we finally made it happen the other night for some UFC fights as well as a big boxing match for Cinco de Mayo weekend. I was planning on getting the wings but they did not have any Filipino style flavors for them so it didn't feel right. We really wanted to get a legitimate taste of something traditional, and Sigg Sigg seemed like just the right thing. Not only was it a new experience for us but it was also pretty flavorful. However there were two catches. Sure it was pricey at $18 but that was fairly listed, however when the server presented the check it was an extra dollar for each of the two sauces that I asked to try on the side. It seems a little bit expensive considering it wasn't some big sauce cup, but the pricing is up to the establishment. I just think it's fair that they would tell us that ahead of time instead of sneaking it on the bill. Don't get me wrong, the server was nice, attentive, and helpful as well as making sure that I knew there was a 20% tip already included in the total so ultimately I just sort of chalked the excessive pricing up to admission for some great fights. The other issue, which is possibly something to be expected due to the extreme greasiness, my wife woke us up in the middle of the night writhing in pain with terrible stomach cramps. We actually thought we might have to take her to the hospital for a while before it calmed down. My stomach is a steel trap and I didn't have this pain but nausea instead and both of us ended up running to the bathroom several times. We didn't drink or eat anything else out of our ordinary that night so it was obvious to us that the SigSig either gave us food poisoning or maybe we should've paid the extra $4 for the rice to maybe allow the grease to settle better in our stomachs. But let's not be all doom and gloom, anywhere that shows fights is a good spot in my book. The staff seemed nice and the underground ambience was pretty cool as well. We will return at some point to catch a game and give something else on the menu a chance. I'm optimistic that it will be a delicious experience.

Maria G.

Yelp
Came to this spot after a disappointing dinner elsewhere and the atmosphere was great and so was our bartender. Will def be making this a regular spot when we visit

Yelp
This review is a lil overdue so don't think of it as a recent experience. It was Summer 2020. I found The Game through Tiki On 18th when I was looking for loco moco on Yelp. Then by looking into it more, I found Filipino food items on their online menu and was intrigued!! I was able to order through Tiki On 18th's website for food from The Game. I ordered Filipino spaghetti (and hella more) online but when looking back at the menu posted at the entrance when I went to pickup my food, I realized it's not on the menu anymore! But they still made it and did not cancel my order. This made me super happy since I really really wanted it. Even though it's basically just sweet and cheesy spaghetti. I was so happy though. Almost like a blend of the joy of going to Jollibee and the joy of trying something local and in DC. On top of that, I enjoyed the food with my Sanzo drinks, which I hope gets added to their menu! Please? Anyway, my photos suck cuz they are screen shots of IG stories, thanks to archives. Foods include spaghetti, fried chicken, spam sliders, and beef pares which was pretty good. Good thing I had lots of rice to enjoy with at home. If you are a strong rice eater, take your food to-go and eat with more rice at home. To The Game, can you keep the spaghetti? Even if it's like a secret menu kinda thing, like you'll only make it if it's ordered even if it's not listed on the menu. Please? That's two requests now huh, sorry!

Yelp
So excited to have this place so close that I can pretend I'm heading to my mom's house for some homemade Filipino food. The game is a sports bar that replaces Ventnor Sports Cafe in Adams Morgan. The first thing I tried here is the lumpia shanghai. It is full of flavor, nice and crispy and has a good amount of meat inside. I could probably eat a dozen of these in one sitting, however my doctor probably would not approve. I also tried the Winter is Here drink and its delicious. This is the only bar in ADMO that I have been in at least five times. It could be my CHEERS since I live around the corner. Other dishes that I've tried including: nachos, shrimp, sisig, beef pares and the loco moco. All flavorful dishes that are worth trying. I've come here at various times during the week such as a Sunday, Monday and Thursday. The bartenders (especially Kerry) are awesome and customer service are top notch. When coming here on Sunday, you'll get a good crowd watching the local sports teams as we did watch the Capitals beat the Rangers yesterday. What a great overtime game to start off the week. Please be sure to check The Game Sports Pub, the food and delicious drinks. #filipinofood #sisig #beefpares #lumpia #foodie

Yelp
We were in town visiting and looking for a bar that was showing the UFC PPV. This was the perfect spot, they have TV's everywhere, extremely friendly workers, and tasty food and drinks - we had the lumpia, sisig, and way too many drinks :). As somebody who loves a good dive bar, I'll be sure to come back next time I'm in DC.

Katie N.

Yelp
We decided to try The Game for football Sunday given they advertised having many TV's. What is great is that they put the game you want to watch on the TV by your table so no worries on if you will be able to see your chosen game. For drinks, we got the shareable drink called "Blood of the Kapu Tiki, Tiki Objects, Bosky Hrnjak." It was a good balance of juice and alcohol, and can serve 2-3 people. If your party is larger you will need more of the shareables. For food, we got mild wings, plain wings, spam sliders, pork belly nachos, chicken and buttermilk waffles, and shrimp lumpia. I would definitely recommend the spam sliders, and would love if the pork belly could be sold separately (maybe they do but we didn't see that as a menu option). If you are looking for a more laidback vibe I definitely recommend this place. There is a bit of wait for food/drinks to come out, so if you are in a rush then this might not be the place for you.

Anna Z.

Yelp
Love the combo of filipino food and sports bar! There are at least 5 TVs all on various sports channels. Staff was super attentive - noticed what sport we were watching and made sure to ask before changing the channel of the tv we were facing. Draught beer is reasonably priced ($6-8) and the food is super flavorful but also has an elegant touch. Recommend family style so you get to try a little of everything! The two of us shared orders of - lumpia, which you could tell were super fresh bc they were scalding hot! Super crisp and well seasoned. - Adobo chicken: loved the sauce so much we poured the rest onto our rice after we finished the chicken! Absolutely loved the finish of the skin on the chicken thigh. - Sizzling sissig: I've never had this dish before so I have nothing to compare it to. It was very delicious but probably not everyones cup of tea. Kind of a heavy dish, slightly greasy, but the flavors are amazing! Definitely has a cartilage-y texture, so if you're not into that, might want to pass! Paired this with the garlic rice which was super fragrant and satisfying for garlic lovers like me!

Aggie S.

Yelp
I've been to this multiple times now and in different times of the day and various days of the week. One thing that is consistent is the quality of service and food at The Game. My first visit here was during the weekend as we decided to check this new Filipino-owned business while bar hopping in Adams Morgan on a Sunday afternoon. I met the owner, JoJo Valenzuela, who was super nice to us when we came in. I can tell you right now that the hospitality of the staff and JoJo was superb and they really made you feel like a valued customer at their establishment. There weren't many folks at the time we were there (odd time around 3 pm on a Sunday) so we got to have a good convo with JoJo about where he was from and how his bar idea was born. You can tell that he was really a knowledgeable and passionate person as he was talking about The Game. On other times, we held group events here, one event had about 15-20 people (it was a themed trivia night) and the other event was a free event for our organization's members and the place was PACKED. Both events had great turnouts and all those individuals that attended all the events had a great time. My personal favorites are sisig, Filipino street food nights, and beef pares. I should try the other things on the menu but I don't because I don't like to change it up lol. I really love the sisig here because it's the closest it could get to authenticity (comparing to sisigs in the Philippines) and I love the aioli sauce on top of it. I actually made non-Filipinos order it whom I met randomly at the bar sitting next to us, and they loved it. My fiancé really liked the pacman burger because it's got sisig as a topping, aioli sauce, and a fried egg! I also liked the pork isaw and Betamax. Those are street food items in the Philippines made from innards of animals - sounds gross but it's actually so good. So try it before you skip it from the menu! I also enjoy the drinks such as San Miguel beer and cocktails! I like the cocktail Rizal a lot because it's got some spicy kick to it but not too spicy. Another thing that I like about The Game is that even though there's a set menu, JoJo would add some dishes that he is trying out to see if there is a market for it. It's a risky decision but also helpful to see what his customers are into. If you feel that your food is too salty or you have any complaints, he is open to feedback and would replace the dish so that the customer could be content and happy. My friends have tried his kare-kare (oxtail peanut stew) and crispy pata (kinda like the German pork knuckle) and they said both were amazing. I have tried the beef pares as well and it was really good and the prices of these items are all reasonable considering Adams Morgan is an expensive neighborhood. I will definitely come back here again, either to watch the game or just have dinner/happy hour/brunch! We will definitely host more group events here as the service was great and the staff was super nice. They brought out the food and drinks super quickly considering we had packed the bar and literally it was so packed and was kinda insane. With that said, the staff still did amazing and no one complained! Place might be challenging to find but it is a basement-type bar so you will see the Philippine flag and that is where it's located! Bonus: they had aperol spritz on the menu!!!

Yelp
Filipino food at a sports pub? This is the duo we needed--not the one we deserved When I first came here I really wasn't expecting too much from the Filipino food seeing as it's a sports pub, but wow the food here is fire! Honestly some of the best Filipino food in DC. Let's talk about the sisig. We're talking pig ears, pork belly, all in a chicken liver aioli. It comes out on a sizzling plate and in each bite you get crispy, chewy, creamy, spicy goodness. Order a side of garlic fried rice and a San Miguel light and you've got yourself a hell of a time. Looking for something lighter? Try the lumpia shanghai for hot crispy egg roll goodness filled with a tasty and light filling of pork and veggies. Everyone who works here is also super nice and friendly. This is the sort of place that has something for everyone. Come by for a drink, to watch the game, to eat some bomb food, or for an adventure (yes they have balut!)

Yelp
The Game Sports Pub is a modern style sports bar located in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, DC. There are TVs on most of the walls. This pub serves an International and American fare at affordable prices. My friends and I gathered at The Game Sports Pub for delicious drinks and light bites. We enjoyed the Poinsettia Mimosa, Hawaiian Mimosa, White Russian, Winter is Here, and Weng Weng. The mimosa consisted of fruit juice and champagne. The White Russian consisted of Smirnoff vodka and Kahlua cream. If you like coffee, this drink is right up your alley. The Winter is Here consist of Machu pisco, spiced pomegranate, Q ginger beer, and lemon, and garnished a twig of fresh thyme. The Weng Weng consisted of bourbon, brandy, rum, tequila, gin, vodka, pineapple, orange, and grenadine. It was sweet and fruity and you couldn't tell how strong it was until an hour later. For the table, we shared Ciabatta with Mango-Honey Butter, Chili Dusted Veggie Rice Crackers, Lumpiang Shanghai, and Gambias Al Ajillo. The bread was fresh. I preferred the veggie rice crackers with the sweet Thai chili dipping sauce. The Lumpiang Shanghai resembled taquitos. It was crispy, deep fried, thin spring rolls filled with pork and mushroom and served with mango sweet chili sauce. The Gambias Al Ajillo consisted of shrimp, garlic, chili oil, and lemon and served with ciabatta.

Yelp
The Game is a sports bar that serves Filipino food in the bar district of Adam's Morgan. This is a basement bar, so it can be a little hard to find if you're not explicitly looking for it (or the Filipino Flag). The walkway is very narrow and the space itself is a bit cramped. Nonetheless, The Game serves great Filipino small plates! The food is definitely on-point, especially considering that this is a bar. Food can take a while to be served, but I think that's only because that the place was really busy when I came in. It's also nice to see that this place partners with local Filipino organizations to help host their events! I'll definitely visit again, next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
This is what I love about this place. It has all the mega screens and bar glory you expect of a sports bar. YET - they actually save near rather high-quality menu items in one. It is as if they combined an American sports pub food, higher-end Mexican, and some Southeast Asia cuisine and mashed it up into a simply amazingly hearty menu. So yes, if you want to go beyond your usual fries and burgers - this is the place! Oh and the cocktails here are also super exciting - way above class for what you normally expect from a traditional sports pub. Great For: - watching sports with a classy lady - watching sports with someone who likes good food while at it - A cocktail in town - a drink with a friend - a 4th date Not Great For: - Break ups - Children - People who expect big open spaces

Yelp
We called around trying to find a place that would play our home team Atlanta Hawks game vs the Raptors. We went to one bar that said they had the game but didn't. So I frantically found the Game Sport who said they would help. We got there and they diligently found the game for us to watch. Kudos to the staff's service here which was above and beyond too. I loved their food and the local brewed Alewerks brown ale on tap.

Yelp
Everything I tried was flavorful and I was happy that the portions were decent for the price. Of course, I also tried their Filipino cocktail which was delish enough for each of us to have two. It's nice to be able to go into a bar and have good Filipino food. Stop by and check it out.

Yelp
Been here for many times in the past, friendly staff, convenient online ordering. BUT food ordered was not as good, not "exactly" what I ordered. Pork sisig is what I ordered but it's not pork rather chicken- how do I know for sure? There's chicken skin attached to the meat and it was soy chicken marinated. Unfortunately, it's a 2 star.

Yelp
Great sports bar with bomb Filipino food! A great spot to chill out, watch a game, and eat Filipino food. Truly the best of both worlds. Their food menu changes frequently, but they usually have a few staples like lumpia (egg rolls) and Pancit noodles. They even have Balut, the infamous Filipino duck embryo featured in many food shows. When I was there, I ordered their signature Pancit and grilled Pork Isaw (intestines). The Pancit came in a generous portion and was lacer with crunchy pork skin which gave it a satisfying texture. Even though I ordered it as a mistake (I thought isaw was the same as inasal, which is pork meat skewer) the isaw was seasoned well and had a satisfying chewy texture similar to calimari. If I lived in AdMo I would come here all the time!

Yelp
I went here to watch Game 6 of the NBA playoffs. The clientele is mixed for great diversity and not broey as other bars in different neighborhoods. There were a mix of Golden State Warriors fans and Toronto Raptors fans. While watching the game, I ordered balut (basically duck egg), some chicken skewers, and some sisig. The food was awesome and will definitely come here again. There are plenty of TV screens to watch sports events and the added plus is the Filipino food. Now, I don't have to go all the way to Rockville, MD!

Yelp
Well played. There's nothing I can say about it. The food is good. I had the gambas and chicken. Was a bomb combination. I highly recommend to anyone who is up to dc area.

Yelp
This underground gem is the place to be. With options that take you through the flavors of the Philippines to your typical bar food staples, it is a guaranteed good place for all who love being around others during exciting times. We were last here during the World Series and it was packed! We were fortunate to have grabbed a table, because it was standing room only as soon as the first pitch started.

Yelp
We were in the area and we literally looked up a random sports bar to go to so we could watch the NBA playoffs and this place showed up. We decided to give it a shot and from first impression, it kind of reminded me of some cool bars we have in our city. Thumbs up for the excellent service, the servers are constantly checking up on you to see what you want. We asked if they could play a little volume while we watch the warriors game and they did allow it - THUMBS UP! They have a great selection of beer and we did not leave feeling disappointed because at some other bars, we'd ask for volume and we'd just get straight up rejected. There are a lot of cool places to chill around here and I would like to definitely come back to this place to try out their food the next time I am in D.C. Lots of TV's everywhere as well!

Yelp
New sports bar in Admo. Love the food. Highly recommend the Beef Pares, Lumpia Shanghai and Wings. Good selection of drinks and great service.

Yelp
For a new addition to AdMo... Sure was nice to have something as delicious and not fried as the pinto-bean hummus for a late-night food option. Lovely menu and super interesting draft and can options

Yelp
Absolutely amazing meal and excellent service and such a delight getting to talk to the owner! It was our first time eating in a restaurant in a year and it was so wonderful! The sisig and halo halo brought back happy memories for my husband of growing up in the Philippines and I was super excited they have gluten free Filipino food! Drinks were also excellent! Can't miss stop in DC/Adams Morgan!

Yelp
Good drinks (Valerie will take good care of you!). The sisig with garlic fried rice is one of the best in town, and even better as leftovers!!!

Yelp
Came here for the reviews and sure enough it 100% stayed true to the 5 stars! Tiny little sports bar in the basement with many TVs to watch march madness. The staff is amazing, accommodating, and so nice!! Food took a little bit long to come out, but was worth the wait. Pleaseee get the early tailgate burger! WOW probably best burger I've ever had. They also have a great selection of craft beers!

Courtney W.

Yelp
Great revamped sports bar with really awesome Filipino food! The portions are large, they show a lot of games which they label for patrons under the tvs, and you really can just relax and enjoy a game day here. The menu does seem to change on a pretty good rotational basis, but their staples seem to always remain. You can get buckets of beer for a reasonable price, and they also have a solid selection of brews too. It is a basement bar, so it can get a bit crowded - but worth a visit!

Yelp
Hit and miss place I like the Game sport Pub because is a good place to watch the super bowls and other sport finals. They have plenty of TV's the staff tries to go beyond. But just the food is not my thing . I think I enjoy the beers more than the food . I had plenty of the food menu options and is just not enough its kind of simple but not bad . Overall, if your looking for a fun sport place to watch any basketball or baseball or any other game is here.

Yelp
Great new sports pub located in Adams Morgan. This place is the bomb.com. A place for the people, buy the people! Great staff and an owner that is a well known local to the dc industry scene. Try the Sisig. I did and can't stop thinking about it. Soooo freaking good. My buddy got the burger and it looked and tasted amazing! (Per him, I didn't get to try it) if you are looking for a no nonsense place with good food, friendly staff, and great drinks in admo. Look no further. The Game Sports Pub has arrived and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great sports bar and great appetizers, but be cautious if you are hungry and want a filling dinner. First time tonight and was shocked the minimal amount of food that is served in relation to the cost. My 16.00 dish was approximately three small bites of chicken cubes with a few slices of pig skin mixed with a few veggie pieces. Although tasty with a hit of spice, I'm heading out for "main entree" nearby. Will come back to watch sports events, but that's about it. Enjoy ...

Yelp
Took forever to get served. Took even longer to try and close our tab. They need more staff on weekends especially during college sports season.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails and food! Really cool place to hang out and kick it with friends. Came here for the grand opening. Staff and owners were really friendly and we got complimentary hookah.

Yelp
My friends and I were so excited about this bar and it did not disappoint!!! Quick and friendly service, no wild crowds, and tasty drinks and food. I tried the I Love BBC and Weng Weng and they did not disappoint. After that, I tried a few Filipino beers coupled with roast pork nachos and sisig. The beers complemented perfectly - would definitely recommend to go with the food. The nachos were so good and the roast pork was very tasty and traditional and covered with a yummy, tangy sauce. Sisig was so good, but I do wish I could order a bowl of rice to go with it. However, I would absolutely recommend it. I look forward to returning!!

Yelp
Wow. Happened to find this place on Yelp as I was staying in a nearby niche fancy hotel. Looking for wings and a sports bar atmosphere, this place hit the mark! Ok. No joke. I'm from Kansas City and know wings, BBQ and steak. First time in this neighborhood. They have wings that are cooked to perfection. Nothing you have ever had. They are stewed then flash fried naked to perfection (Adobo style!!!). Unbelievable as there is no fat or skin left but perfectly moist chicken. Try the chili- no beans is the perfect way to eat it with or without chips. This is locally owned by small business and the bar and kitchen staff are so proud they will NOT disappoint you!!!! Get there!!!

Yelp
The Game has great staff, good tv coverage and good food. They play the games over the bar speakers and makes for a great atmosphere. One downfall is it's small to plan to be there early.

Yelp
I was pretty pumped to try this out but I after having eaten dinner here, I feel pretty lukewarm. We got the rice bowls (one chicken and one vegetable), but it seemed mostly rice without too many toppings. The flavors were fine nothing exceptional. Solid beer options but nothing really stood out. I might go again if other spots on 18th street were busy, but this wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money. The service was awful and the food came out wrong. There was even a homeless person in the restaurant.
