Ventura County Fairgrounds and Event Center

It was always a great time at the fair. Our son did so many things for the first time. He had a blast. So many animals, rides, games, food!! Pretty pricy for games and rides, so pick the right day to go!

Got Tickets 🎟 for 5 dollars and drove down to The Ventura Fair ♡ save money by parking for free off of main street. Enjoyed all the art exhibit's the food and activities at the fair. Beautiful Beach weather 😍

The firefighters were camped out here during the "Mountain Fire" in Ventura County! Thanks to all of the crews who came out here to help us. God Bless you all

It is a lovely fairground for a county fair! It is literally right by the beach, can't get more California than that. Surf rodeo, baby! The parking lot on the fair grounds filled up pretty quickly. The gates open at noon and by 1:30pm, the lot is full. However, for $10 you can park at the San Buenaventura State Beach, which is like a 10 min walk to the fairgrounds. Quite a beautiful stroll, really! The entrance is simple and quick, scan tickets go through metal detectors, super quick! Plenty of restrooms and pretty clean portables as well! It is smaller than the OC Fair, but I think it's better than the OC Fair. Had a lot more fair stuff here than what I had experienced at the OC Fair. I loved that there was a hangar of all the prize winning vegetables and other categories. There were also soo many prize winning steer and other livestock! It really gave the fair feel. The rodeo was the definite highlight! It was so much fun! It was a pretty traditional rodeo - bull riding (including juniors!), team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and other fun performaces! Would definitely recommend attending the rodeo weekend! I also loved that they had craft beer from local breweries. There are plenty of food options and all the usual fair rides, though I didn't see the water log ride, which is always fun in the summertime. Overall, it has been one of the best fair experiences!

Went to see Fluffy during the fair. Security was a little hyper vigilant. It was a chilly evening but the laughs were flowing. Cool drone show after....

It's a unique place by the ocean. A place for motorsports, rodeo, dirt racing, fairs, farmers market, beach, activities, and surfing, with a large parking lot. Downtown Ventura is not far, within walking distance which is another attraction for the city. One of the favorite places in Ventura, which serves a large radius of areas around. You can park in this area and bike to neighboring locations. Highly suggested for families and businesses.

Traffic can be burdensome by car. I recommend using the shuttles provided for large events such as County Fair and Concerts. Not that bad of a walk for those that can. Downtown Ventura offers plenty of great places to eat before and after events.

Attended the Ventura Home Show specifically to see Piccola Tiny Homes. Amazing! Their factory is in Simi but happy to see it at the Fairgrounds.
