Love Feels Best

Google
A must stop for any art lover. So much cool ceramics by talented locals. Many have been at the craft for decades but there’s usually fresh stuff for a younger audience.

A surprising gem. Lived her 3 yrs and never knew about it. Superb place to buy gifts, useful home goods and jewelry. An artist there even creates buttons. Something for everyone

I loved everything in the shop. Unique well made items beautifully crafted. I want to go back before Christmas! I may call because of distance but it is such a neat store it is hard to not want to return.

Yelp
Ventura Pottery Gallery is one of my favorite stores in the Ventura Harbor. As a lover of collecting art and unique pieces + wanting to support local this place is an absolute dream. I've been in here many times over the years and have found great gifts for others. Art is for everyone and I love the variety of pottery and ceramics they have here. I like that a lot of the art and pottery is practical, that's why I say it's for everyone and food for gifts. I definitely don't recommend buying art pieces for others as we all have our own tastes and art speaks to people individually BUT with the pieces here being very practical like cups, vases, pots, bowls, and other little home goods - they can make the perfect gifts and beautiful pieces for your home. I love that this store showcases many local artists and has a variety. It's very organized inside and I appreciate how they showcase each artist with their own little wall or shelves making it easy to find one artist from the next. I also find that the prices are very reasonable for local, one of a kind art and pottery pieces. They keep the prices reasonable and for that I appreciate them and keep coming back because you can get a special keepsake at fair prices. The owner was working the shop when I came in most recently and she helped wrap up a planter that I bought as a birthday present for someone. She was efficient and quick getting me in and out without issue. I appreciated that she took the price off of the piece and wrapped it with care so that it could travel without breaking/chipping. This spot really is a hidden gem in the Ventura harbor and I'd highly recommend it if you are shopping for yourself or looking for some small but fun pieces to gift.

Yelp
Such a charming shop! The artistry is excellent, and the pieces are attractive, creative, and well-made. The pieces make for great gifts, too, if you have an occasion coming up. Parking is plentiful and easy, and the neighboring shops are also cute.

Yelp
Over the years, my husband and I have purchased many gorgeous, one of a kind pieces at this gallery. The local artist are the best on the West Coast in our opinion, and we've visited many.

Yelp
The stores stock was really quite high quality - - something you don't really expect in such a touristy area. The store manager was very friendly, and well informed about the merchandise. I thought the prices were reasonable considering the quality of the work and, again, the high traffic tourist location.

Yelp
The facts are, I LOVE pottery. Since my sophomore year in high school when I took pottery classes and really got to know how much goes into it, throwing the pots on the wheel, waiting for the kiln to finish, glazing, waiting again for the kiln.....then, the magic! I really admire it. I stumbled upon this little shop while poking around the Ventura Harbor recently and it really is quite a treasure. Each artist featured has their own unique style and I admired them all. However when I saw this beautiful ladle, I knew it was mine. I could already picture it hanging on my wall in my Big Bear cabin's wall in the rustic kitchen, which is where it is now, looking good! I'm so glad I stepped in, so glad it was reasonably priced, and even happier it fancied up my cabin's kitchen. See you next time! In

Yelp
I really enjoy this gallery, all the pottery is made by different artists, each area in the shop is sectioned by artist. My friend and I went in searching for Christmas presents, I like to get some of my friends that appreciate art, a unique gift and I've never been disappointed when shopping here. I found heart shaped ornaments that had intricate details etched into the clay, they were beautiful in a non traditional way, I purchased two of them, the artist is Gayle Bentley Swanson. The second artist I purchased items from was Christine Watte , the pottery she carried was tuned to sea life & wildlife. I located an adorable sea turtle cup for my friend, the artist also had plates and bowls to match. I received a owl cup as a Christmas present from the above mentioned friend, it also had plates and bowls that matched. The gallery owner was very friendly and let us mill around the shop for as long as we wanted while we tried to make up our minds. So if you find yourself at the Harbor don't forget to stop by, you'll be missing out and some wonderful talent if you do.

Yelp
So amazing! I've never been in before, even though we come to the harbor's restaurants all the time. Absurdly reasonable prices. I bought 2 gorgeous pieces that will look amazing in my mid century house- total $62. The staff were so nice, too. I saw so many other interesting and beautiful items- I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This is a super great place and a rarity. Strictly pottery galleries and shops are not easy to find but at this gallery there are up to 30 different artists that are featured and participating in running the gallery. There are functional and sculptural and the price range is very reasonable. The Potters Guild has been there almost 8 years but the guild was founded and operational since 1957!

Yelp
Great little gallery! This has been one of my favorites shops in Ventura for some years now. The gallery offers a great selection of pottery from local Ventura artists. You can find some unique gifts for your friends (and for yourself), and there are pieces available for all price ranges. I first saw this shop when we were on vacation some years ago and loved it. I live in Ventura now and still love it! So instead of buying someone a souvenir from Ventura, why not bring them something unique and handmade by a local artist? Good, friendly customer service and quality pottery.

Yelp
If you are lucky enough to be strolling the Ventura Harbor area, maybe had lunch, went to the ice cream shop...... than you must pop in to the Pottery Gallery. You will be surprised by the variety of creations. The artist's styles are showcased in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. You can browse and leisurely stroll through the small store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about most of the artists. My mother-in-law is a member of this guild and sells her beautiful works at the annual Ojai pottery sale held in conjunction with the music festival at the bowl in Ojai every June. Pottery is fun!

Yelp
A favorite in the Ventura Harbor. Always interesting works and since it's a coop, all the people that work there are the ceramic artists. I love talking to them, about their work, their creative process and how they became ceramicists. Prices are usually very reasonable and I've purchased some unique decor for my home.

Yelp
Great place to find unique souvenirs. Nice selection of nice sea themed gifts at an affordable price. I believe they are all handmade locally.

Yelp
A small island of beauty and skill in Ventura's otherwise shabby harbor tourist district. Features pottery from local artists, many of whom exhibit nationally. The work of Richard Franklin is especially interesting.

Yelp
This is a great Guild sponsored Gallery for juried members. Opened in July 2010. The Guild was founded in 1957. Diverse collection of sculptural and functional finely crafted ceramics. Opens at 11 am
