They attempted to cater the Washington county chamber farm fresh last night. The salad was brought in large bowls and placed haphazardly along the 4 tables of 200 people.
Some people had plenty, others had ask for theirs and still others got none.
The same happened with the tamale .
The green beans went to various tables, but not all,I asked for some for our table but none arrived.
The catfish was served without the dipping sauce, it arrived 15-20min.later after the catfish was served, which was very good. Never seen the peas on the menu. Then jambalaya was served in large bowls to be passed along, more was brought than eaten and many taken away.. There was no description of the ingredients in this and there were people with food allergies that carry EpiPen that asked about ingredients but recieved no reply. Then came the collard greens, which were not on the menu??? Then the brisket was handed out, some tables were served twice, some not at all. The brisket was qu item salty, fatty and heel cuts. Other tables around us were served the prime cuts ?? Why ???
Finally the peach cobbler came out, some with all peach and no cobbler, mine came as a small amount of cobbler smeared on the plate, and I had to ask several times to get it. There wasn't enough food served to be called a meal at our table, others seemed to have excess. Dessert was served at 9;30 ???. Absolutely the worst catered event I've been to,,and at $125 a plate. So dissatisfied, disappointed. We've been chamber members for 10 years and every farm fresh dinner until now was over the top. The only good thing I can say about verajames kitchen it they can only go up from here.
