"The restaurant in the Hotel Sans Souci is smart and fashionable. It proposes modern Austrian cuisine, which can be ordered à la carte or as a set menu in the form of a "culinary voyage through Austria". Wine list with a focus on Austria and a wide selection of champagnes." - Michelin Inspector

Veranda Brasserie & Bar favors mood over theatrics, and that choice works in its favor. The experience unfolds calmly, with confidence, allowing the food and setting to carry the conversation rather than forcing attention. What stood out was the way comfort and refinement intersected. A chestnut soup, layered with smoked duck breast, truffle foam, and cranberries, set the tone, seasonal, composed, and quietly indulgent. The beef fillet steak, accompanied by crisp French fries, Mediterranean grilled vegetables, and a well reduced homemade beef jus, was executed with clarity and restraint. The addition of White Panther mountain prawns from Austria added a refined, unexpected contrast without disrupting the balance. The Sicilian caponata, served with toasted organic bread from Öfferl, brought warmth and authenticity to the table, honest flavors, well judged, and deeply satisfying. Rather than chasing complexity, Veranda Brasserie & Bar succeeds by understanding rhythm, seasonality, and atmosphere. The result is a dining experience that feels polished yet relaxed one that lingers not through excess, but through thoughtful execution. A place that values balance, calm confidence, and understated quality.

We were there at the GALA DINNER 25 December. It was in all an excellent experience. The service was top notch from arrival to departure. Food was excellent, with good combinations and super wine pairing. Thank you all for a great experience 😊

We want to try a traditional veal schnitzel and it was amazing! Fresh and with a tasteful crust, without the feeling that you eat burned oil! Great stuff there. And we enjoyed also the atmosphere, politeness of the staff and great desserts. Home make ice cream is at the other level with what you can find in Wien. My boy was blown away with his raspberry ice cream !

A beautiful restaurant serving gorgeous dishes with a clear display of precise high-quality cooking techniques. Service was friendly and attentive. All but one of us did the chef’s choice menus (and appreciated the vegetarian option) and found the taste of the dishes to be a mixed bag. We liked the carrot starter, chestnut soup, schnitzel, and falscher bienenstitch cake. The tafelspitz seemed to be well prepared and was nice to try, but we wouldn’t order it again. We were a bit disappointed by the mushroom main dish (lacked diversity in flavors and textures making it hard to finish) and the pumpkin tartlette and poppy seed udon noodle desserts (both were savory not sweet and not clearly communicated as such). If we returned I would order everything à la carte and make sure to ask the server about which dishes might avoid the pitfalls described above.

In Vienna I visited several restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide, but this one was by far the best experience in terms of food quality and service. The atmosphere adds to its charm, yet what truly made my dinner special was the simple cuisine based on excellent ingredients, the attentive service, and the local wines. I will definitely return to this beautiful city with the intention of visiting this restaurant again.

The Veranda restaurant has a very nice ambience. The staff is polite and professional. Food was actually very good but their Mix and Match options are in very small portions, so you better keep that in mind when ordering. We also went in several times during our stay for drinks.

A beautiful place for a cocktail. I went as they were closing but they still found a way to make me feel welcomed and taken care of. The staff are super kind and down to earth. Definitely a place you can feel comfortable to go alone and relax at night. Highly recommend sitting at the beautiful bar

We had a wonderful dining experience at Veranda Brasserie & Bar. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, with the rosemary potatoes and the bread accompanied by various dips being standout favorites. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and to my surprise, I even enjoyed the crispy skin — something I usually skip! The steak was also rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. The desserts were another highlight — not only were they delicious, but they were also beautifully presented, adding a touch of elegance to the meal. When I visit Vienna again, I’ll be happy to return to this restaurant!
