Ordered salads from this place two nights in a row. BOTH NIGHTS THEY SCREWED UP MY ORDER. Tonight, they left the chicken off the Southern Harvest salad, and shorted me a $5+ drink, a $1+ salad dressing, and sold me a salad that weighs about 3 ounces (see photo after salad dressing was removed) for more than $20. This was after my dasher had to wait 20 minutes for them to make my salad, which I had ordered 10 minutes BEFORE my dasher got there. That’s 30 minutes to make a salad, and they STILL GOT IT WRONG. To make matters worse, I called to speak with them and they won’t even answer their phone. Both nights, they also forgot to include utensils. Not even a napkin. I highly recommend going elsewhere if you’re in the mood for a healthy, delicious salad. Maybe these folks are fine in-store, but if you order takeout from this place, you’re taking a huge risk on being very disappointed and ripped off. I will never give this place my business again after my last two experiences. They either don’t care, or they’re doing their best and it’s just second-rate and not good enough. How hard is a salad? Buyer beware.

If you are looking for a good salad, go somewhere else because these salads are GREAT! I cannot believe i have lived here for so long and never ate in here. Absolutely delicious. And after taking the first bite of my Carolina Cobb salad with ranch dressing substituted and I added sweet potatoes, I was literally craving lunch for tomorrow so I could go back and get the same thing! The ladies working were so kind, had beautiful smiles, and were just so nice!!! Great customer service, told me about different specials that happen throughout there restaurants and I cannot wait to go back there and become a regular. It was so clean and the colors were so fun to walk in and see.

I ordered buffalo cauliflower and there’s like two sprouts, if any. The falafel is rock hard. I ordered roasted sweet potatoes and I got three cubes, THREE. Also note how many pickled onions they gave me. This was $13 and I was willing to pay because this place is marketed as fresh, whole food. However, I could have gotten more bang for my buck at Chipotle. I’ve tried their other locations and the portions are always reasonable. Never coming back here.

I always come in to order salads, but I came in today to get a salad for myself and my co-workers and it was 6 salads with specific things for each salad and the women helped so efficiently and with such kindness I just had to leave an amazing review! Thank y'all so much for being so wonderful and making the best salads!!! ❤️

My wife, daughter, and I were all craving something green, so we gave Verde a try. I had the Mesa Verde, which was excellent. My wife had the sesame chicken (she substituted shrimp), and my daughter had an Asian salad of some sort. Everything was fantastic! All the ingredients were extremely fresh, and all the dressings were very good. Though the prices seemed a little high at first glance, the size of the salads and the quality of the ingredients more than justified the price. Looking for a salad for dinner? I don't think you could do better.

Disappointed. I used to love Verde but I feel they are really off their game, at least at this location. Got the dressing wrong on one salad; both salads lacked flavor. My falafel in my salad was ice cold and rock hard. I asked for spinach and still got low quality romaine mixed in. When I entered to pick it up I was not greeted and the girl behind the counter had an unfriendly attitude. When I told her to have a nice day as I left, she ignored me. And I had tipped her on the pickup order! I have had much better salads from Mellow Mushroom next door - and they don’t even “specialize” in salads….

Get it together Verde West Ashley!! I requested a half portion or child’s portion of the Mesa Verde which they’ve made for me many times in charge half the price. Today I requested it. They made a half portion and charged me the full price over $15. I have a picture I’m trying to attach to show the small amount that I got. They offered to put more lettuce in the salad. I declined took my order and left. I am not a happy camper. They’ve made it for me multiple times. On a different visit, I was told no, you have to have a child with you and today they said yes you can get a child’s version but you must buy the adult version to get a second one that’s half the size or a child’s version. All I’m asking is that you get it together and get your employees on the same page

This place is worth it! I was pleased with the atmosphere when I walked in. I was greeted in a welcoming manner and my order was taken and served exceptionally quick. This place is contending for the best place to get a salad in West Ashley/Charleston. I enjoyed the Kale, Arugula, Falafel, and chipotle vinaigrette the most. Lastly my experience wouldn't have been so great without Shelby and Marcus.

This wasn't in love. It's a good spot for healthy options but overall felt underwhelming. Veggies/toppings looked fresh but the proteins didn't make my mouth water. Test was just okay. This location was empty at the time but there are seating options and the setting seemed chill. I wouldn't try again as I've had better salad options elsewhere (ex. Doc Greens).

This is my go to in terms of Charleston "chains." I always get the Farmer's Market chopped salad and substitute the sweet potatoes for chick peas. I had the peach oitaya lemonade today, which was outstanding. Always the freshest ingredients and best service. Buy 10 salads and get 1 free is another added perk. I also see grab and gos popping up! Even at the airport! This place has a hipster vibe with compostable and recyclable options. Check it out!

Fresh, fresh, fresh! Good prices. Clean, with many drinks to choose from. Make your own or select one of theirs. We had the sesame chicken salad with ginger dressing. Great taste. We ordered one order for the two of us, which was more than enough. A must try. Frank G

Heard about Verde on the radio + lucky for me, work right next to one! So made my way to Verde for a quick late lunch, so many options. My only issue is the first salad I ever tried here... was so good.. so perfect... I haven't tried anything else! Southern Harvest is what makes me a frequent returner! They have seasonal options as well, so I recently swapped the apples for peaches... STILL DELICIOUS! You can get it in bowl or wrap form, just know the wraps are HUGE.

"I can't pay this for a salad!" Yeah you can. These guys crush. Do it. Period, the end. We're all friends here, I know you don't care which one I like, you just want to know if it's worth it. Yes.

When you want a fresh and loaded salad, this is the spot! I love being able to custom make my salad and alll the great options they have. I also love that you can get it chopped! Their vegan green goddess dressing is DELICIOUS.

So happy to find some great vegan food in the area! The bowls are delicious and fresh! This is a very clean, nice and friendly establishment offering yummy, nutritious food. I got the "feelin' saucy" bowl with buffalo cauliflower. It was delicious! My husband got the "chic pea" bowl which has falafel. He liked it very much. His was not vegan but could've been if he skipped the feta.

Yes, when you go in here the first time, the narrow seating is a bit off-putting, but then you see on the wall a very large painted but artistic arrow saying "Start Here," yes that is what you do, go to the back section of the long counter. The person making your salad is there behind the "sneeze guard" where you can see the freshness of their ingredients. The most difficult thing to do here is to choose what salad you want. It is all fresh and even the protein is not frozen, but cooked in their back ovens and brought out. Up on the wall are the options. Look up and far to the right for any specials for the day. Today, was the Southern Harvest salad (a standard and not a special) for both of us, prepared in front of us, and when all is in the stainless steel preparation bowl, it is chopped up with what looks like (well, at least to me) a double pizza cutter. It starts with Mesclun which is a mix of assorted young salad greens that I understand originated in France. Add to that roasted chicken (small pieces to blend in with the greens), apples )also small pieces to be easily blended in), and croutons which are unusual in that they are cornbread (but crunchy) croutons. All of this is mixed and chopped up in the stainless steel bowl and then put into a plastic serving bowl which comes with a top in case you are taking it home or to the office. The dressing (on the side if you choose) is sweet tea vinaigrette and is the best you have tasted. And, before I forget, you can have the salad served as a wrap, but not for me today as the salad is so good that a wrap (at least in my mind) would make it less delicious. If you have not been here before (this was my second time), you owe it to yourself to eat something which is both delicious and healthy. ENJOY!

Omg this place is so good. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop for lunch at verde and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the mesa verde with the dressing on the side and wow. The place is clean and quiet and the service is very good. Definitely will be coming back!

I've been to a few Verde locations. There's not much difference between them, but there is a big difference between their menu based on the seasons. What was in when I visited was a "deconstructed spring roll" with such niceties as kimchi, glass noodles, peanuts, and some Heron Farm sea beans. I don't normally order the preset menu options at fast casual restaurants, but here, there was still a fair amount of customization, and I was able to get mine over my choice of greens and add some mint leaves for an even more dynamic flavor experience. Overall, the salads here have a ton of good options, and you can get them chopped in front of you for extra freshness. The ingredients offer both excellent nutrition and a local flavor. There's always something that seems uniquely local, and with the regular rotation, there's plenty of reason to stop back in. They're pricey salads, but it seems worth it to me on a vacation when I really need to find an excuse to eat something healthy and leave room for dessert, but I also want something that's special in and of itself. What was notable about this location is that it was on the road leading to some of the (fantastic) outlying islands of Charleston like Kiawah and Edisto, which are largely residential enclaves that don't have a ton of food (and definitely not a ton of vegetarian food). So why not pick up a bowl on the way? It's very convenient. I texted in and had mine brought to me curbside and was on my way. And it's hard to imagine what better food I could have brought with me to the beach.

I ordered two bowls online. Buddah bowl and unbeanlievable bowl. I am so happy I checked the bag before walking out. The buddah bowl was missing broccoli. I also added falafel and it was a mess and all crumbles. The unbeanlievable bowl had no veggie patty. I asked and they gave me a sprinkle of crumbles in a plastic container. I mentioned to the employee that this is not what the website described the patty to be and she said she does not know what the website says or shows. I added tofu to both bowls and it was expired/had a fowl oder. I am highly disappointed and feel foolish. How could I pay this establishment $33 for two bowls for it to be treated so with this much neglect and unprofessionalism. Verde please get it together. Update - thank you to Verde and your team for responding quickly and making things right through email. I am pleased with how fast the response was and the resolution. As a foodie, I would give this place another chance because they obviously care about customer experience. Thank you again for hearing me out.

We have visited Verde a couple of times this week and have been very pleased both times. We were looking for fresh and healthy salads, and Verde come through with flying colors. Verde is located in a small group of shops in the Avondale area. There are several tables to sit inside, and there are a couple of small tables out front. You walk to the back to place your order. The menu has a wide variety of options, and you can change pretty much anything you want when you are ordering. You can even creat your own unique salad. They were very flexible and accommodating. The salads are fresh and large, and they tasted great. The also have a unique and interesting choice of drinks - both fountain and cans - not your typical large brand names. We will definitely return. 9/10 rating for me.

If you're there and you get a regular employee the know your order! Sometimes it's a hit or miss but still good anyhow, I've gone a couple of times where I'm missing my protein / and or they add onions when I'm allergic and I request no onions but for the most part it's really good! One of the best places for salads and you can customize it! The workers and staff are great and usually can get your salad fixed or next one on them. My favorite is the mesa verde no onions, no black beans, replace w/ beets and broccoli or cauliflower!

Salads are huge and so delicious! The staff were super friendly and very efficient! Will be returning VERY soon!!

I ordered online for in store pickup - website was easy to navigate, food was ready by the time I arrived and everything was delicious! Parking can be tricky in that area depending on time of day, but I think I saw an option to call in when you arrive and they'd bring the food to your car. So convenient!

My last few salads at Verde have been an improvement over past experiences. A friend who is new in town wanted to try it a few weeks ago, so I joined her- and she's hooked now. Last week, I stopped in to pick up dinner for my husband and I, and he loved his Cobb on King, especially the homemade dressing. My Farmer's Market salad with added shrimp was really good, and you get a LOT of shrimp for a very small upcharge (only $3.50). I've always gone inside and ordered signature creations, so I can't comment on online orders or catering. Verde's staff are always nice about modifications, like swapping out the types of cheese, switching the meat for tofu, or adding an item. The salads lately have filled up the bowl and been full of high-quality ingredients. I'm excited to go back and try this summer's seasonal creations, too.

Placed online order at 11:27 for a 12:15 pick up. Two salads. I arrived to pick the two salads up at 12:16. Young man at the register tells me that they are working on my order now. Four other apparent online customers come in after me. Their orders aren't ready yet either. While my order is being "worked on" the customers after me start getting their orders filled! In the meantime, 6 walk ins come in and order salads and are out the door!!! Young man at the register says they are working on my order,sorry. WTH?!? I ordered two salads (nothing special) and I finally get my order at 12:48! And our salads were to come with bread. One did come with a slice of bread and the other came with a tiny end piece of crust! At least they got the order contents correct! It seemed to me like they only had one competent person working the counter out of three employees. So $30 for two mediocre salads and a half hour wait on a call ahead order....that would more than likely be our last order from Verde (West Ashley) Big no from me!

This is my first time trying this place back ever since I had the horrible incident of an employee ringing up items on a salad that was not on the salad and call me a liar when I called him out about it with my mom. Even after offering to pour the salad out. That's was over a year and 1/2 ago. Needless to say I was in the coffee shop near by and needed lunch. Very hesitant to go in. Some people are nice here, some aren't. One person looked at me weird at the register when I asked for a correct ring up and still did not give a recipe upon leaving. I didn't have the energy to go back. The salad was good nothing spectacular. It's so true that a place can have the best food, but if customer service is off you can't enjoy it.

VERY a good food, and I loved being able to choose what was in my salad. I docked them a star for charging extra for onions. Onions! One of the cheapest items you can put in a salad. They were categorized as "seasonal," hence the added charge.

So I'm a Verde regular who orders and eats here a lot and that's not an understatement. Downtown, Belle Hall, and the Mt. Pleasant locations I never have any issues with my orders. The Avondale location is another story. This location consistently always forgets something or there's an issue with my order and this last order was no exception. I convinced my coworkers to eat healthy and order from DoorDash to have Verde delivered to our job. When it arrived some salads had no meat or very little, extra dressing was missing, and one of my co-workers ordered a cookie and it arrived broke in 20 pieces. The meat and extra dressings we were charged for and for it not to arrive and our salads not being made right just blows. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I appreciate their food and what they do, but I was in a hurry, ordered curbside to go. Got there, texted that I was and sat for another 10 minutes past the time the email said. I went in and they apologized which is appreciated but said their iPad that gives them the text might not be working. It just defeats the purpose... plus I'm right in front of the building sitting there. When you have kids in the car or are in a hurry these services are a big part of choices.

Consolidated myself to be a salad connoisseur and this place while unassuming satisfied my discerning pallet and then some! I had the Buddha Bowl and it definitely was enlightening! Wish we had one of these in Nashville!

Just discovered this place. The curbside pick up is EVERYTHING for a mom with kids. I really appreciate having a fresh healthy option that I can get without the hassle of getting everyone out of the car seats and opening the stroller etc etc etc. I will be a weekly customer, happily tipping on my curbside pick up order. So excited.

When I think of salads, I definitely think Verde. It's a great spot if you want a healthier lunch option. They have a great variety of salads - enough for everyone to enjoy. They chop the salad up too so every bite is the right size and easy to pop into your mouth! Such a nice touch. I usually get the classic Caesar salad here and it's always tasty. They mix the salads up so the dressing is evenly distributed which is really great too. I've also tried their wraps which is a great alternative to the salad if you want a little something more hefty in your stomach. Overall, a solid spot for a healthy meal!

I wish they had half sizes I can't eat a full salad so I don't eat here that often cause it's a waste to eat just a half salad. Also sad to add bacon they charge $2.25 for such a small amount like a TB? If I pay that for bacon give me bacon lol.

Just popped into the WA location andddd there were several live roaches scurrying around the area where all the salad ingredients were. I'm out!

Wish I could give them a negative review. I've been waiting over an hour for my order. No one's answering the phone. My Uber eats driver has changed twice sense I've ordered. Food was supposed to here 30 minutes ago and I'm still waiting. Their food is also way over priced for the quality... 50 dollars for 2 salads... disgusting

Giving 3 stars because i like the concept of the place and ingredient choices , but never in my life have I received /witnessed a ball of burnt rice and quinoa. This was a $20 salad and there are just rocks of quinoa rice everywhere . I understand this is a chain but how do you manage to burn rice this bad and proceed to serve it? I ordered it chopped so how did you not feel all of them...or at the bare minimum chop them up. Also have had dirty buds of lettuce in my salad everytime I get the super food mix...

The last few times I have ordered online here something has been incorrect with my order. Today we placed two separate online orders. When I got there they didn't have one of them and had to go search for it. I then asked for dressing on the side and was told it's always on the side. I got home and added dressing to the salad only to find out it was already drenched with dressing and almost inedible. I won't be going back.

Ah Verde, my post workout fuel. You never let me down. I typically get the same order each time (the Carolina Cobb) and it always hits the spot. Big fan of the cookies and BIG fan of the seasonal pumpkin spice iced tea (basic, yes, delicious, yes). The service is usually great as well! Only knocking one star off due to the fact that it doesn't feel the cleanest inside... or smell great. Not the food prep area (that's clean!) but referring to the hall in the back and when you first walk in. Just a minor thing but it can have an unpleasant smell sometimes, which throws off the experience. Overall, a great casual place for a really healthy, fresh meal, I just prefer to get it to go!

Loved my first time ever there! I had the Greek in the Knees bowl! Aaron and Justin were so helpful. Next time, I will be ambitious and create my own salad.

I'm a health nut and love all things healthy eating! This place is PERFECT for vegans, vegetarians, and people who just love health. I did the build your own bowl and got things like chicken, roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes, chickpeas, and more in it! It was out of this world and helped me feel full without feeling yucky. Definitely recommend! Tip: get your salad chopped!

I love verde and the salads are always delicious. Today though I placed an online order and arrived a few minutes after my time of pickup. My salad wasn't ready yet and that was no big deal. I gave them my name and my salad wasn't ready til 20 minutes later. In total 30 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. Once I got back to work to eat I realized they had forgotten the avocado, goat cheese, and spinach on top of the long wait. Very disappointed.

I had never been to this place and the person who made my salad was very patient about explaining the different menu options. She was very helpful, so the customer service was absolutely top notch. And wow... the salad was delicious... I got the Mesa Verde salad, highly recommend! Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. @eatatverde @yelpcharleston #yelp843

Big shoutout and thank you to Riley from this Magnolia road location. We called a delivery service to deliver food to a friend convalescing nearby. They were unable to find his apartment. We called the store and Riley delivered his food. Thank you for helping take care of one of our special veteran friends, he really appreciated your kindness and follow through.

This is a great location minus the parking difficulties that come with Avondale. The handful of times I have been here, the experience has been fine. Even when I dont know what I want and am just staring at the menu, the couple of employees behind the counter somehow have something better to do than stare at me not knowing what I want (unlike TOO MANY PLACES) Makes me feel like Im not being hurried and to take your time. Versatile menu, plenty of signature stuff to choose from and of course the option to craft your own, but when it comes down to it, Verde is not going to be a regular in my routine no matter how much I want it to be. Salads are the honestly, the one thing I will utilize the argument, "its cheaper to make it at home". Go to Verde's website, get some ideas for new salads (which Ive done), go to Publix and buy all the ingredients for under $12-$15 for a weeks worth of salads that take minutes to throw together or spend $12-$15 on a salad at a stop and go place like Verde? See you at Publix.

"Nutritious & Delicious" is what their motto should be because their fresh and healthy salads are just that. They always execute on getting your order right, they're always fast and never skip out on the protein. My parents actually introduce me to Verde in Avondale right before I moved away but I never forgot their consistent good food.

Consistent with freshness and flavor packed goodness. Also consistent in not filling the bowl up. Expensive salad that would be worth if if my bowl was full.

This is the spot to go to in Charleston for a yummy salad!! They have so many fun and creative salads that you can choose from without having to figure it out yourself. They also have seasonal favorites that change! One of my FAV places to go to!

The Bowled Buddha Roasted Broccoli, Chickpeas, Pickled Onion, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Avocado, Kimchi, and Power Seeds with Turmeric Vinaigrette served on Brown Rice and Quinoa + Kale First let me start by saying this bowl was presented so beautifully I almost didn't want to eat it but I'm so glad I did because it was delicious! Everything was fresh and seasoned but not over seasoned. Beware of the turmeric dressing, though very tasty, the turmeric stained my nails and my favorite light grey joggers. It was well worth it. The service was friendly and professional. I wish I had taken a picture of this masterpiece.

Ok, I'm almost officially over this place. Today, went to pick up a to go order for work. Asked them to please write the names of the wraps on the wraps so I don't have to disassemble them to see what is what. Well, you guessed it, they wrote the wrong info on the wraps so people bit in and, SURPRISE, not what you ordered. When I asked the young lady at the register to stamp my card, she stamped it once with barely looking up. Like I said, we ordered 5 different items. They really, really need more seasoned help at this location. It is simply too expensive for these errors and the amount of time it has been taking.

I tried out the online ordering and chose the Capital grains salad, which is SO GOOD! Verde is the subway of salads, without the processed, chemically saturated ingredients! I can't believe I've lived in Charleston for 2 years and am just trying them out. Chances are I'm going back tomorrow for lunch... especially since the online ordering was super easy to navigate through. I decided to download the Verde app and will give it a try tomorrow. Fresh, Simple, and uniquely delicious...

Fresh and fast custom salads! These salads are huge, when a huge variety of ingredients to choose from. You can also make any salad into a wrap if you want something more handheld. My personal favorite is the buffalo caulipower. They have interesting seasonal menu and there is a rewards program. Save time and order ahead on their mobile app!

Best spot to get a light meal! I had the "greek in the knees" and if you're someone who loves to feel refreshed this is your #1 choice! Feta, olives, tabouleh and greens are perfect for summer days. The person who was there was really helpful and this was also her favorite salad. My husband made his own salad which is also great because you can choose your own base, protein and toppings! They are also able to do wraps, so if you don't feel like eating just salads, you can get a little extra carbs from a wrap. They have great selections of drinks (no brand names) and homemade juices and lemonades. I had the strawberry lemonade and it was divine!

On our short visit to Charleston we ate at Verde 2 times. It was fresh, delicious, healthy, lots of choices to build a salad including a couple kinds of proteins. The staff were friendly and did a great job mixing up just what we wanted. If you want a break from the tourist places that serve lots of fried foods this is the place to go!

Happened upon this amazing salad and fixings place. Everything was so fresh, and I loved the menu ideas (though you can create your own). Better than Cool Greens!
