How come you're quite a bit from dying in or carrying out the food is always on point and the staff is always welcoming and awesome. The only issue I always have with the steak taco. I don't like my steak cooked well done, and I always ask to cook it my, steak taco medium and the staff always say no problem but it never happened

Excellent local taqueria. The margarita chicken soup was an excellent starter. The steak and cheese quesadilla was fresh and tasty. The service sitting at the bar was top notch. It’s a great find not far from where I live.

The tacos were really tasty and a good size too. My waiter was excellent. I would go back.

2nd visit here. Tasty eats, affordable, good portion, great service. It was lively when I visited..a Braves game was on. Nice area in Brookhaven.

I've been here twice now and enjoyed it both times. It's a popular spot and can be pretty busy. The drinks are really good. Both times, we've ordered the organic margarita and added flavor and both times, they were delicious. We tried tacos the first time and this time, had salads and they were really good. We also started with the trio of dips, which we enjoyed. The service has been friendly and it's a cool vibe. The patio is dog-friendly, which is a plus for us. We really love Mexican food and while this isn't the best we've had, it's a solid choice.

This was my first time here, and I’m already planning my next visit! We tried the jalapeño queso with ground beef, and it was incredible. The tacos were flavorful, and the plantains were perfectly soft and delicious

My coworkers suggested this taco spot to me and I was kind of skeptical because it doesn't serve birria tacos. However, when I got there, it was a nice establishment and we were met with great hospitality. Our server Mckenzie was great. I ordered the Chimichurri Steak taco, Sweet chili shrimp taco and the dirty bird taco. Man I devoured them tacos in about 3 min. The queso with beef was OK. I'd probably order it without the beef but everything was fire. To the point we went back the very next day. Today we were served by Maddie. She was great as well. This time I ordred the rice and beans, Carne asada taco and circled the block with the dirty bird and shrimp taco. Soooo damn good. I definitely recommend this spot, especially for lunch

It was a great brunch day with friend-girl on the patio. I try to take pics but this time only have the el Texas margarita. Lol. However, I had the dirty bird bowl which was excellent, however, forgot to request no bacon. Street corn queso and jalapeño queso. I mixed and it was delicious and went well over the dirty bowl. Will have again w/ no bacon. Lol. Friend-girl had the carne asada and chimichurri steak tacos. To star for bunch was the el Texas margarita and yes, yes they were good!

A friend recommended this place to me so I wanted to give it a try. I don't fully understand the parking situation here but I was able to find a spot after circling around twice. I ordered the grilled fish taco, brisket taco, and chicken fajita quesadilla. The grill fish taco was topped with a lime green sauce and had plenty of fish. Shocking that it came with corn. It had a bland taste. The brisket taco was more like pot roast. It also had corn on it. The taste was decent. The chicken fajita quesadilla was great. I should have ordered two.

Food and service is okay but the ambiance is too dark inside. I had the texas brisket bowl and the brisket was soft and good but the sauce was too spicy for me.

Dirty bird was delicious. Table of 6 and we all ordered differently and everyone enjoyed their selections. Service was also great we ate outside the heater kept us nice and warm.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too packed. Maybe because it was Memorial weekend. We sat outside. We ordered the Trio Appetizer, cheese, guac, and salsas. We also ordered the buffalo quesadilla which was really good according to the mister and the fajita quesadilla which was pretty good. Decent prices. I wouldn't say this was authentic but good enough.

These tacos are sooo good! Their chips are thin, crispy and salty which is the best way to tortilla chip. Their queso is smooth, with a few peppers. Delish! Their ground beef tacos are 10/10, and the grilled chicken are my favorites. I've had the shrimp tacos, fish tacos, rice and beans all at different times. I've eaten outside on the patio, and ordered thru UberEats. All equally delicious. All flour tortillas. Verde is good again and again!

OMG! Try this place. Not your average Mexican spot! They fill up your tacos ALL the way. The margarita was okay but the service was great. My tacos were super fresh and hot! I'd definitely come here again. I went around lunch time today so I'm not sure what the evening looks like but this place is small and cute for like a lunch date or a drink or two. 9/10 I wish the margaritas were a little stronger in a Margarita cup

So I always love this area, it's super welcome. Has a lot of different things to eat and drink. Restaurant itself is nice, it's a little dark but it has a little bit of intimacy to the vibe of it. I tried a few different things. The chimichuri taco was good. The steak was pretty tender and the chimichurri seemed good and fresh. The fajita bowl (chicken) was okay, the chicken seemed a little dry and not as flavorful as the tacos, but it was okay. There were more beans in it than meat or rice. The carnitas taco was also good and tender and had a lot of flavor. The service was good, I got seated immediately. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so it really depends on what the day looks like for you to make that decision.

We had a party of 4 for dinner at 7:15 pm on Monday, 2/20/23. There was no wait for a table! Free street and deck parking, but it is limited. Service was amazing! I wish I remembered our waiter's name - he was so sweet and chipper! Here's what my husband and I got: - Trio ($10.50): Good, except the guacamole felt a bit store-bought. We shared this between the 4 of us. - Chimichurri Steak Taco ($5), Buffalo Chicken Taco ($4.50), Chicken Fajita Taco ($4.50): My husband said these were good! The tacos were stuffed! - Steak Fajita Quesadilla ($10.50): Good! Everything was tasty and relatively cheap, especially for the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it's a decent option for Brookhaven!

We eat here often. I generally get a blueberry margarita and fish tacos. Some people mistakenly think it has corn on it. It does not. It has mango salsa on it. Service is always great. It is generally busy, but not overcrowded. You may have a short wait if you go there on Friday or Saturday evenings. Restaurant is always clean, with indoor and outdoor seating.

Good food for cheap prices. Fun little patio for outdoor seating. Soup was hearty and flavorful but spicier than I would've thought. Friendly waitress and moderately quick service. Only downside in my eyes is that it can be hard to find parking during dinner time.

My girls and I were looking for a Mexican spot that we hadn't tried before. This place was cool! They offer a variety of tacos, which are all sold al La carte. I had the fajita quesadilla. It was pretty good... but i told the server no spicy peppers so they left ALL the typical fajita peppers off. I didn't send it back, I just made due. This wasn't a deal breaker. We also has the fried Oreos which were everything I needed them to be!

I've heard lots of hype around this place and I'm not sure if it's actually about the food just the location or maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I got the Buffalo tofu taco and it was just cubes of tofu, drenched in buffalo sauce literally dripping out of the taco with raw celery. The side of Brussels sprouts weren't crispy just covered in just a super sweet sauce. It just tasted like sugar or straight up honey. The service was good. The place was very crowded and kinda loud.

Nice setting and nice outdoor area. The Tocos were fine for the price. This is a good place to meet friends and catch up. The food is not exceptional but it is still good and definitely fun. I will go back sometimes.

Celebrated hubby's Birthday over Tacos, Verde Salad, and Veggie Bowl all delicious. Best Ever Margarita's I had a Blood Orange Habenero Margarita and it was incredible. We got there on a Saturday night with no reservation and were seated pretty quickly. We did have to drive around the block a couple times before finding a parking spot. The loaded queso was absolutely fantastic. The mixture of the beef, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo was great. The dirty bird had so many black beans so there were a lot of those left when I finished. The chicken pieces were cut really big, I wish that would've been diced a bit smaller but overall it was good. Oh and the service was really quick. This included getting drinks, food, and any additional requests. They were fast.

The verde salad is the absolute best! I would definitely recommend the jalapeño ranch instead of the cilantro vinaigrette. The cheese quesadilla is perfect paring!

Tried it one last time out of desperation and driving by. Thought it couldn't be that bad?? Worst mexican restaurant i've ever been to. Creepy vibes from the staff, over priced and the food is awful.

Service is amazing. On a busy night we were greeted, seated and food on the table in less than 15 minutes! Vivica's sunny smile made us feel right at home. House marg was strong and large. Texas marg stepped it up. Chimichurri steak taco was delicious and the southwest salad a decently healthy option. The only criticism I have is that it could have used more spice across the board. The Chipotle vinaigrette I ordered for the salad was deliciously spicy and by comparison both the salsa and the guacamole were pretty bland. Throw some hot sauce on the tables and we can remedy that situation pretty quickly.

A very family-friendly establishment. Really deserves a 3 but gave a 4 because the service was pretty quick, efficient, and super nice. I came here already knowing that the food wasn't going to be super authentic. With that being said, I ordered the dirty bird bowl. The food is just average in general. The bowl came with Mexican rice but it just tasted like regular rice. There wasn't much seasoning or flavor. The only spice it had was the pickled fried jalapeño in the bowl and even that lacked a lot of flavor. Black beans had no seasoning.The chips and salsa were good but it's not complimentary. Verde is more of an Americana food place with a SLIGHT mexican twist. If you want authentic Mexican food then I suggest going to a restaurant on Buford highway.

Moved out of Brookhaven a few years ago and being within walking distance of this place is the only thing I miss! You have to try the Blueberry house marg! They're so speedy and the food is incredible! I get the buffalo chicken taco an and I highly recommend!

Indoor and outdoor seating. Wood tables, gray plastic chairs. There is also booth seating. A fast food vibe. The restaurant is kept clean. We did not wait a long time for our food to be served. The food is presented well. The chips, guacamole and cheese were tasty. The salsa was a good with the right amount of spice. I wish the cheese and guacamole had more spice. Don't be fooled by the bowls. They are healthy portions and filling. Consider adding the fajita veggies. Such an added bonus to your palate. The ice cream and fried Oreos with drezzled chocolate sauce are delicious. Try the margarita on the rocks or frozen. Enjoy the buzz. The service is great. They continually checked on us. Plenty of parking. I will return again for the Dirty Bowl abd the fried Oreos.

The food is consistently good, and this service is as well. Is also consistent that they don't offer up the specials and you always have to ask. The seating is less than desirable hard chairs, and the tables are very close together. Guess they don't want you to stay there long and never do because their seats are uncomfortable. All that said, I would definitely recommend this place we eat there repeatedly.

We ordered take out from Verde since we were craving Mexican food. Unfortunately, the food looked better than it tasted. The Fajita Quesadilla with Steak and the Fajita Bowl with Grilled Chicken were incredibly bland, and the latter had more black beans than any other ingredients in the entree. The pork in the Dirty Bird Taco was hard to chew. Otherwise, it tasted good, thanks to the hot sauce inside the tortilla.

Food is delicious and came out fast, service is good, could turn down the AC a bit lol, Easy 5 stars for me

DON'T ORDER TAKEOUT FROM THE WEBSITE!!! We come here often and food is good but we decided to order take out the other night from their website. Received an email saying order would be ready in 10-15 minutes (it is a 15 minute drive from my house). I still waited 35 when I arrived! Apparently they don't check for orders from their own website

Verde is a quaint, comfortable neighborhood restaurant that's great for families. There are always a lot of children and babies eating here. The tacos are all pretty good, with my favorites being the Buffalo chicken taco, the dirty bird, and the beef taco. The Buffalo chicken is also great in the quesadilla or added onto one of their salads. The salsa is nothing to write home about, but their guacamole is honestly one of my favorite things on their menu. All in all- there are solid options, but don't expect anything authentic and I wouldn't recommend it delivered (the tacos usually don't travel well).

AMAZING!!! I am obsessed with chimichurri and usually am disappointed when I order it, but Verde came through!!! The service was so incredibly fast, I was absolutely shocked. I cannot exaggerate how great the service was!! The carne asada taco was so flavorful. It was busy inside but there but there was still plenty of seating. We love the covered porch too. Lively vibes and good food right on Dresden.

Came here yesterday for dinner with a friend. Based on some of the reviews, I honestly didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised! We both ordered two blood-orange and jalapeño margaritas, queso with chips, and a few tacos. I ordered the steak chimichurri and chilli shrimp tacos, while my friend ordered the bbq chicken quesadilla. Everything was quite good! Nothing extraordinary, but overall good. Prices were also very reasonable for the serving size. The service was top notch as well. I gave my experience 4 stars because I wasn't a huge fan of the margarita. It tasted like they put fake flavoring in the mix. Otherwise, I would come back the next time I'm in the area.

I don't normally vent or complain on Facebook, but today I find it extremely necessary. It's a beautiful day, the boys and I enjoyed this morning at the Farmer's Market and then we decided to eat outside for lunch and enjoy the sunshine. We decided to go to Verde, a taqueria in Brookhaven off Dresden. It can be a risk sometimes taking Kellan to restaurants, as he has a tick that forces him to scream (most of the time he can't control it). He typically doesn't do it in familiar places to him. Unfortunately, this was one of the screaming days. We had already placed our order when it started. I was able to calm him down and we started to enjoy our meal. A while later, Kellan screams again. The manager (I later found out was the owner), approached our table and asked us if there was a problem and we told him that Kellan is on the spectrum and he cannot control it. He said several tables asked to go inside because of him and asked us to leave. I looked around, and the only table that left was a single woman at a 2 top. I did not make a scene, but everything inside me was shaking. I had to stay strong. Having barely touched our food, I asked for the check and some to go boxes. The table behind us was a family we knew from Jake's class, and she said she went inside and talked to him and defended us. She said he was the owner and he lied to her face stating that he did not ask us to leave. She started crying to me seeing how unjustly Kellan was treated. She herself has a family member on the spectrum, and the entire incident deeply impacted her. I am so grateful for the woman that had the gumption and empathy to stand up for my son. Needless to say I will never step foot in that restaurant again. There may be mixed opinions about this, but as my son's mother, I hope you see my perspective. Please teach your children empathy and understanding.

Stopped by the Verde in Brookhaven for drinks with friends. This location is on the Dresden strip of bars, restaurants, and shops. The Mexican restaurant has an extensive taco menu and then good staples(guacamole, queso, salads etc). I enjoyed the Brussels (fried for $3), the trio(guac, salsa, and queso for $9), and a frozen Moscow mule. They have a rotating adult slushy. I hope they bring back frose soon! If you can grab a spot. Patio seating feels great in the evenings. It's a bit dark inside so the front and back patios offer nice space and a few people brought their pups. Parking is a bit of a challenge so Uber or walk if you can. There is a lot behind the restaurants that gets dull pretty quickly. There is also street parking if you can find it.

How have I never reviewed this place before now? This spot become a regular when my brother moved down the street 6 years ago. We came here with his family at least once a month because we could walk to it and his kids love cheese dip. I am sure his family came here a thousand times without me. The service is consistently friendly, fast and they have many options for seating with indoor, bar and patio. Oh, the cheese dip and crispy warm chips. Yes, warm chips are so lovely. My brother moved so I was sad to lose this place and then I joined a small group and it turned out to be down the street so it is consistently a great spot for dinner. When I am on my own or with my hubby we prefer the bar. This bar is one of my favs because the bartender knew my order after a few times of sitting at the bar. It has a few TVs too so if you need a distraction they have one. I appreciate that when I sit down he confirms what I want before he begins making my organic margarita or puts in an order for the trio appetizer (cheese dip, salsa, guacamole). We love to order a variety of tacos or quesadillas. We have tried and enjoyed so many of them. Pork, Baja fish, Medi veggie, short rib taco, but our very favorite are grilled fish and buffalo tofu. I get a buffalo tofu every time I am there and am ordering tacos cause I can't resist it. They have salads, soups, black bean dip, crispy calamari, bowls, and nachos too, but I haven't tried them.

One of the few go to spots in Brookhaven. Place is usually busy and we lucked out tonight in getting a seat at the bar. Service was good. I ordered the gyro bowl and it was very good. Food come out pretty quick. I'm always running initially my local Brookhaven friends here lol

Great little neighborhood tex-mex spot. The tacos here are fabulous. I really like the shrimp taco and the tater tots. I've only gotten food to-go but looking forward to dining in soon.

i order from verde very often. multiple times (including just now) they continue to forget my grilled chicken in my veggie bowl. it has become very frustrating that this order is never right.

You can find Verde Taqueria at 1426 Dresden Dr, Atlanta, GA 30319 - this is in the heart of "Brookhaven along Dresden" and near Kaleidoscope Bistro and Pub which I've reviewed previously. Verde is on the corner of one of the low-rises that houses businesses (and apartments/condo?) in this mini-complex. Parking is free on the streets that surround the buildings or you can opt for one of the lots or nearby valet. Verde is what I would call a typical American-concept taqueria joint serving up fresh house-made tacos in flavor combinations more attuned for the average American palate - you see them all around these days - I believe Verde is a local Atlanta chain but could be wrong about that. The interior is industrial with some amusing Tex-Mex accents and there's a fairly well-stocked bar - of course the idea here is to spend your hours drinking house-made tequilas (margaritas and shots) and nibbling on snacks. For this purpose the restaurant does a fine job - I would recommend sitting outside on the patio if it's not too hot. In the evenings there are plenty of families (probably locals) so this place is definitely kid-friendly. I've now eaten here a few times (first visit was back in 2016) both for lunch and dinner. I think the food is pretty good - I like that the chips are fresh and usually hot when they come to the table. The portions seem a tad small compared to the prices, but then again I live 2 miles from Buford Highway so everything is skewed towards the cheaper/authentic side for me so take that with a grain of salt. The margaritas I've tried were good and strong - even with the frozen I managed to cop a buzz. The last time I was there I ordered the "Trio" which includes salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. I thought the guacamole excellent with plenty of lime and cilantro - if you're not a fan of the latter then pass. The salsa is passable and the cheese dip what you would expect - both are above average when compared to the free stuff you get in the authentic Mex joints. We also ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla. I liked the first better than the buffalo - the latter seemed a bit forced and the black beans were under-cooked/chewy. We also had a few cans of obligatory Tecate beer with lime - if you ever spend time in Mexico you'll know that this is probably the favorite of the locals and worth having when it's available - it's light and very refreshing. The service was passable if a little inconsistent - the first time I dropped by during an early lunch I was by myself and virtually ignored. The second time (also during lunch) with a table of four the service was better. With me and my wife drinking margaritas we were well attended but the crowds hadn't hit yet - so I'd say it was typical based on sales/tip so keep that in mind (restaurants really like to seat 4-tops the best to both get table turns and up the average price with drinks and appetizers). I'd call this place a good option, especially if you like tequila and if it's not too hot, sitting on the patio. Otherwise, there's a Pure not too far away that's similar and better. I always enjoy the vibe because of the outdoor patio. Margaritas are great and the friend Oreos. The tacos are a hit or miss but I keep coming back.

The restaurant was filthy when I arrived, the seats at the bar had food and liquid stains in them. The bartender made me wait while he smoked a cigarette outside. When he came back in, he didn't wash his hands and asked me what I wanted to drink. When I asked if he was going to wash his hands he laughed at me.

We dined at Verde on April 14th. We live in the neighborhood and have been regulars there since 2009. Big question- why did the restaurant eliminate the calamari taco. I go there for the calamari taco; usually a fried chicken and a calamari taco. Your food and service is excellent and last night was fine but, would you please consider bringing the taco I love best, back. Charge more for it If you need to. Please just bring it back.

I've eaten here several times since it's within walking distance of my parents house and I think the food is pretty good - especially the margarita chicken soup. You can really taste the lime that's in it and you can order it in pint size if you're getting it to go. I also like the Buffalo tofu tacos - it's a nice option for anyone who doesn't want to eat meat. My niece and nephew like it too - especially the tator tots. Oh and they have outdoor seating - screened in.

Verde has a really good atmosphere for sports watching and having a leisurely lunch with delicious food! We got salsa for $1.95, which came with two containers so we didn't have to dip into the same salsa, which was super nice and didn't have to worry about germs (thanks covid). My friend and I both got salads, which were nice. I got the cilantro vinaigrette dressing, it was nice and light but very tasty def recommend adding that dressing to any of their salads. I added the roasted corn to mine to give it a little something extra.

Location: Beautiful location in Brookhaven off of Dresden Drive. Is located in shopping center and surround by numerous restaurants and boutiques. Parking can be difficult due to the parking spaces being for the entire center. Street parking spots for 15minutes, 30 minutes and 2 hours. Customer Service: The customer has been exceptional every time I have visited. Staff are friendly and often make sure your needs/requests are met. Management: The management is wonderful and very professional. Verde is generally busy throughout the entire workday and they generally do not allow reservations. The management worked with me and allowed me to reserve the entire backroom for my wedding reception. This was during peak time on a Friday afternoon! Extremely thankful to the management and staff that assisted. Food: The food is delicious and cost-efficient. I was impressed with the amount of food served for the cost. Most restaurants would raise the price based on the amount of food serve. Verde provides extremely large portions of food for the same low price. Recommended Foods: * Trio Starter (salsa, AMAZING GUACAMOLE, queso) * Chicken Taco * Buffalo Chicken Taco * Fajita Taco * Smothered Country Fried Chicken and Collard Green Taco * Fajita Bowl (large amount of food for price)

First time trying while in town for the week and i loved it!! Service was quick, food and drinks were great and my server Camryn was awesome

Chips salsa and queso were good. The buffalo tofu tacos were amazing. But I also got the vegetable taco -- warning to my fellow vegetarians or vegans, the veggies in the tacos tasted like they were cooked with some sort of meat. Everyone on my table felt the same way, so I personally would not come back here again and don't recommend this place if you're sensitive to the taste of meat!

Came here on a Tuesday evening with some friends. The initial wait was like 30-40 minutes and everyone hadn't arrive so we started at the bar. I go the Texas marg with Grand mariner frozen and it was good though a little loose but got me where I needed to go. I also got a quest which was enough for the 1st four of us to share. We had our first round at the bar and the bar tender was very attentive and had a whole slew of bottles behind him to make drinks not on the menu. We closed our bar tab and moved to the patio which was completely enclosed and heated which basically defeated the purpose of being outdoor dining lol. We now had 6 or so people and ordered tacos and got the complimentary chips and salsa. I think I had the fried chicken with bacon and quest taco which was so good with the thick cut bacon bits and a steak taco with chimichurri which was equally good and equally jam packed. Their tacos are bigger than street tacos too so I couldn't even finish mine after the chips and queso and salsa. Prices are very reasonable and we were having such a good time we stayed a little past closing and no one was hurrying us out. All in all would recommend and would return!

Why would you eat this atrocious whitewashed attempt at tacos when you have some much deliciousness nearby on Buford Highway? The food here tastes like what you get served in a school cafeteria on taco Tuesday.
