This was such a cute shop! The shake we order was delicious and I couldn’t get enough of the oversized large chocolate covered pretzel we ordered.

Google
The absolute best tea shop! I’ve developed an addiction to their cream Earl Grey. It’s been a few years since I actually visited but I still regularly order tea from Verdigris and have it shipped all the way to Texas. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, on top of being knowledgeable. Online ordering is simple and worthwhile. Highly recommend.

Google
Verdigris is a super Tea and Chocolate store on Warren Street in the town of Hudson that offers an extensive selection of teas, chocolates, and baked goods. We greatly enjoyed the Croissant and the Honey Biscuit. The chocolate scone was quite good but a bit dry (went well with my hot matcha tea). The Cochin Masala Chai was quite flavorful, while the Chai Latte had an intense ginger flavor to it (not to everyone's taste), and the Peach iced tea was good as well. We also bought the Blueberry White loose leaf tea and the Throat Relief loose leaf blend, both of which had a pleasant aroma. Overall, Verdigris was a great find during our visit to Hudson, and would highly recommend it!

Google
The Hudson Hot Chocolate was scrumptious, especially when the weather is chilly and you’re looking for something to heat you up. I would highly recommend.

Google
A super cute, cozy place with amazing baked goods and hot beverages. Best chai latte I’ve ever had! We were there on a very busy Sunday afternoon and I give the staff a lot of props for handling the chaos as smoothly as possible.

Google
this is the best chai latte I have ever had in my entire life. I also got the honey scone and pumpkin loaf and I cannot even put into words how good they are. the staff was so sweet and helpful and even warmed our baked goods for us. I am blown away by how good the pumpkin loaf is, it’s incredibly delicious and the spices blend so well with the pumpkin. 1000/10

Google
Very cute shop. Huge assortment of teas and chocolates. We picked up a box of 6 truffles (beer & pretzel and pumpkin latte were our favorites) and a tea meant to soothe sore throats. Worth stopping in.

Delicious cakes and very good tea! This cafe is the most amazing place. It has a sweet atmosphere. They also have a lot of cute gifts for tea lovers and anyone who enjoys chocolate. The prices are excellent too.

Yelp
Verdigris on Warren Street in the charming town of Hudson is a delightful haven for tea and chocolate enthusiasts. It offers a remarkable assortment of teas, chocolates, and delectable baked goods, ensuring an indulgent experience. Our visit to Verdigris was met with delightful discoveries, including the Croissant and the comforting Honey Biscuit. While the chocolate scone was a tad dry, it proved to be a perfect accompaniment to my steaming cup of matcha tea without milk. The Cochin Masala Chai had rich and flavorful notes, while the Chai Latte had an intense ginger kick that may not suit every palate. Additionally, the Peach iced tea was a refreshing option. We also couldn't resist buying the Blueberry White loose leaf tea and the Throat Relief loose leaf blend, both of which had a delightful aroma. Overall, Verdigris proved to be an exceptional discovery during our visit to Hudson. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in here while walking the strip. We were excited to try some of the flavors. I got the iced hot chocolate which was awesome but I couldn't finish it. It was just too sweet. Nice to try but I wouldn't get it again. Felt like I was going to go into a sugar coma. My wife got the featured iced tea. Hibiscus. She liked it. The macrons were really good. Fresh baked. The place had a lot of mass produced stuff but I think it was supposed to look more artsy and independent. We bought a tea set too which was kinda expensive for what we got. Sitting outside was great. But it's hard to mess up outside seating. That's sorta dependent on God right? Not the establishment. I think there were too many people on for how not busy it was. Who watches the watchmen?

Yelp
Any place that has chocolate or hot chocolate I will go to lol. It's like a lure I cannot deny, though I probably should :P Anyway what a cute place and I very much enjoyed my cocoa from here. Service was good.

Russell R.

Yelp
Doing some work in the building, I had the pumpkin pecan tart and it was to die for. The wonderful ladies working filled the place with absolute charm and hospitality. Definitely a must try. Everything looked amazing from ambiance, service, and tasty treats was an A+.

Yelp
Delightful little place in Hudson NY. They have many teas to choose from, both iced ant hot. Also lemonades, coffees and hot chocolates. There are an abundance of tea accessories in their little shop too. Chocolates and pastries looked lovely. We tried one cookie that was delicious. Bathrooms are clean. Will definitely return when in the area .

Julie C.

Yelp
walked around the shop and found everything pretty expensive besides the tea leaves. SO affordable and sold by the ounce!!! the display was aesthetic and clear, couldn't resist to buy 3 as they all smelled so unique and complex. spontaneously decided to get a berry topped cheesecake as we left. SO worth it ESPECIALLY considering how cheap it was for a huge slice. pretty popular place and we only found open outdoor seating. the cake was CREAMY, smooth, flavorful, not too sweet, the berry sauce so fresh and fruity, tanginess perfectly balancing with the creamy cake. felt like i teleported to berry flower land. don't miss out on this one.

Yelp
Came in for a sweet treat while doing doing some shopping in Hudson a few months ago. I got a cappuccino and I believe it was a banana cream pie and enjoyed both, especially the pie. It was a cute shop and had nice little tables inside. Perfect place to take a break during the day, especially when it was chilly outside. Would definitely return.

Yelp
I think I get why Coffee is, by far, the most popular hot beverage in the world. But a serious Dark Hot Chocolate, is what's gotten me since I stopped coffee almost 15 years ago. And I don't mean that watery (no offense) Dunkin or Starbucks mess. I was hyped when I bookmarked Verdigris Tea and Chocolate a couple of years ago located in chic Hudson, NY. I was engulfed by Verdigris' chocolate scent off the bat. Place is spacious with an enticing range of gourmet Teas, lots of teaware and tea accessories to turn every sip of your loose leaf tea you purchase here into a taste of poetry. And in a shop that's dominated by Tea and Chocolate, Verdigris threw in a few coffee drinks. I think I was more numb with the heavy Chocolate scent, I completely forgot to pick up some loose Tea. Hubs powerful 'Angelina' Hot Chocolate hit all the high notes and was far tastier than my flat 'Mexican'. Maybe customize next time? Don't get me wrong, the spiciness and cinnamon were there, I just wished it had the same 'Angelina' rich component in mine. Service was pleasant from the ladies in the back to my hazel-eye girl in the front. Just so you know, this stuff isn't child's play- it's some serious undertaking when you come here.

Yelp
We had an awesome tea experience at Verdigris! We went on a Sunday afternoon before leaving Hudson, and we enjoyed a large pot of the Breathe (herbal) tea. It was a very unique, spicy flavor, and we sat at a 2-person table near the door for about an hour to enjoy it. Upon our arrival, the staff was so welcoming and offered to answer all of our questions about the "tea wall" - basically a wall containing dozens off teas Verdigris offers for drinking there or purchasing for consumption at home. Our tea was ready in ~5 minutes and a member of the staff brought a silver platter with the pot and 2 mugs to our table. The shop is set up like a typical coffee shop with limited seating. It has an area to purchase tea, coffee, and other drinks, and another area to purchase tea to take home. In addition, there is freshly-made chocolate as well as pre-packaged chocolate and tea supplies for sale. Prices are reasonably compared to a large chain, and Verdigris has a home town feel.

Yelp
A quick little stop if you want to enjoy some chocolates, tea, smoothies and other baked goods - along with a nice sit down area and view of the town

Yelp
I accompanied my friend here. He was buying chocolates for his wife. He selected an assortment of chocolates. The female attendant just threw them all in a bag. All of the paper cups of the chocolates were strewn all over in the bag. And the chocolates ended up in one giant pile. It was such a mess. She didn't even bother to put them in a box. She was about to ring him up but another couple entered the store and cut him off. The couple ordered a slice of cake. The female staff dropped his bag of chocolates on the counter and served the couple first. She gave them their order and rung them up. She made my friend wait to pay after a couple that came in AFTER him. Even though he was completely done with his order and was waiting for the cashier to ring him up. What an absolute disgusting situation. I was going to order some desserts but I left after seeing how they treated my friend.

Yelp
Verdigris is such a lovely little shop with an incredible tea selection. I love their rooibos teas - especially bourbon and vanilla! They have great hot cocoa and specialty local goods too.

Jessica P.

Yelp
So overwhelmed by the selection in this shop! I purchased pastilles, chocolate, a vegan truffle and a postcard. Such a great place for gifts and for me! I'll be back when I am next in Hudson to be sure.

Hunter S.

Yelp
Came here three times in my week up in Hudson i loved it so much. Cool vibe. Great tea and pastries. Super friendly staff. Gave great tea recommendations. Can't wait to return!

Raymond F.

Yelp
Slice of cake and cookie were good, chocolates were decent, however the staff member servicing us was cold and borderline rude. The cookie was placed in the same box as the cake and when we asked to please separate the two we were met with a huff and obvious attitude, as if we were inconveniencing them. Also when we asked for a specific type of chocolate the response was "youre just going to have to read". Shocking to say the least. Wont be back.

Mandy L.

Yelp
Came here for dessert and so glad we did. Definitely coming back. Pros: - The shop is absolutely beautiful and full of tea! Some tea shops are more like coffee shops. Also loved the ambiance. - Really nice people who work here Cons: - No public restrooms

William M.

Yelp
Wonderful baked goods and (rich) hot chocolate. Only better hot chocolate I've had is from Shane's Confectionary in Philadelphia.

Janet A.

Yelp
Verdigris is a Hudson staple. For me personally, they make the best dirty chai lattes. Pies are fresh and amazing as well as their baked goods. I'm looking forward to them expanding their tea accessories and confections

Fridah L.

Yelp
Extremely friendly and dog friendly for that matter which is very important. If you are looking for something yummy and delectable this is an excellent spot for it. They have vegan, gluten-free, and as gluttonous as you want chocolates and cakes and cookies and delectableness. It's a warm environment where you can enjoy quality treats and beverages and feel welcome and at home. They have a huge array of loose tees to choose from. It would take months to try them all. Highly recommend.

Grace N.

Yelp
Super cute tea spot on Warren street! They have a wide variety of teas to order and purchase. The interior is warm and inviting. It is pricey but that's to be expected on Warren street. They also use paper straws as part of an environmentally conscious effort.

Joseph T.

Yelp
Great destination for teas and sweets. They have a huge selection of loose leaf teas. I'd guess that they have at least fifty different varieties of teas. They've got a barista in the back making teas, coffees, smoothies, and other beverages. The store has a bunch of different tea equipment including infusers, mugs, and kettles. They also have a ton of sweets including cakes, pies, and a huge selection of chocolates.

Nicole N.

Yelp
This place has soooooo many brands of chocolate to choose from to buy! The staff was really sweet too! I found some brands that I ended up having to order online a bit. They have nice tea items and different tea and coffee beverages to either buy or order their to have too! A few of my favorite things all in one spot, definitely a gem to stop by! If you check in, you can also get some discount on your smoothie too!

Annie F.

Yelp
This shop is absolutely adorable! Chocolates, baked goods and drinks are separated at three different counters. The list of teas was extensive and the prices were less than $3 for a large cup of loose tea. There was a variety of baked goods including scones, cookies, cakes, etc. The Linzer tart was delicious as was the caramelized pear rooibos tea. Can't wait to go back!

Sonia Mae B.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this cafe on our way back to Manhattan. It's a chocolate and tea bar, but the pastries stood out to me the most. My BF ordered the coconut, carrot and pineapple bread and it was the most unique flavors we've tried and delicious too. The cafe was spoiled that day because the baker was on site baking the treats. The bread was warm and just came out of the oven. We also ordered a blueberry cheesecake with pistachios and it was another stellar dessert. We didn't have time to taste their teas but I'm sure it would have paired the desserts amazingly. Another reason to come back to Hudson because of this a gem.

Bonnie M.

Yelp
The teas are great, so is the hot chocolate, but oh, oh, oh the cookies and pastries...I can't stop thinking about the molasses ginger cookie...and the blueberry cheesecake....Go. So very good.

Kristy J.

Yelp
The food, tea, and selection of chocolates that we tried were fantastic! My only issue was that there wasn't any real food. No sandwiches or bagels or anything. I think this place would be a five-star place if it had something savory to eat, that would go with the something that was sweet. I should note that they did have one tray of quiche. But I would've really appreciated a selection of real food. We ended up going somewhere else for lunch but we would've absolutely ordered more here.

C G.

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite spots for an excursion, but the last time I went in, the service was so rude. The older lady barked at me to get on the right side of the line. While you can sit for about @15 minutes to enjoy your beverage / chocolate, their bathroom is now closed. As much as I had enjoyed this, I don't spent money to be treated badly.

Stef P.

Yelp
This place was great! Got an iced matcha latte and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with. They were taking a lot of safety precautions due to covid-19 so I can respect that. They are allowing only 10 people at a time in the building and are taking it seriously and managing it. Good for them! I didn't try any of their baked goods because it was kind of impossible at that point for me to decide but they looked very good.

Lori P.

Yelp
Disappointed this establishment is not enforcing social distancing and mask wearing rules. Two people walked in right before I did and the gentleman wore his mask with his nose exposed, store employees said nothing. At one point he pulled the mask completely away from his face to speak with an employee. Store employees said nothing. His companion did properly wear a mask but while I was waiting in line to order a beverage she walked up next to me and stood immediately next to me for several minutes. Way too close even if the world wasn't experiencing a pandemic!.Store employees said nothing. I understand I sound like a "Karen", but I became so uncomfortable I left without making my purchase. New York State law states any person who is over age two and able to medically tolerate a face-covering shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or face-covering when in a public place and maintain social distancing by keeping at least six feet distance between you and any other persons. The store had signs on the front door regarding masks and social distancing, the employees chose not to enforce it.

Michael M.

Yelp
Great place, great service. I had a root beer float here which was excellent (the soda was a little flat, but by no means a deal breaker). My wife had frozen hot chocolate which she enjoyed. We would come back here again the next time we're in town.

Ruby F.

Yelp
Prepare to get your socks knocked off by the lavender lemonade. It's super refreshing and tastes really special. The store is impeccable, and immaculate. The owner is super friendly and accommodating. Lots of chocolate treats that look like treasures. I will definitely be back.

Amy B.

Yelp
Stopped in to this cute shop for truffles. They have a nice variety of beautiful chocolates to choose from. As the name states, they also have a large tea selection. Will have to return with a nice book when I have the time for relaxation and enjoy the calm atmosphere. If you need an edible gift this is the place to go!

Jeff C.

Yelp
Love this place for a tea and a read, or a tea and some creative writing or a tea and just a quiet space to breathe while I nibble on theor delicious pastries...

Can I.

Yelp
Huge variety of chocolate items. The coffee and pastry selection is rich as well. I had the Mexican wedding cookie and a double espresso. Both were great. Friendly staff, outdoor seating. Highly recommended!

Meghan L.

Yelp
If you are going to kick people for answering a phone call from their mother you should really have a sign warning people that you have a no phones policy. Thank you for making my day worse and making me feel unwelcome in a town I am visiting for the first time.

Josephine L.

Yelp
You can wile away an afternoon here, enjoying their fabulous truffles like the white tea coconut creme, coconut cluster and lavender truffle while sipping freshly brewed loose leaf tea (served with tiny hourglasses that let you know exactly how long each pot should steep for). And wile away we did. Lovely spot.

Thomas K.

Yelp
Where to begin? A large selection of loose teas, chocolate, sweets and local fare. They will brew you a tea or make a hot chocolate at the window in the rear of the store. We tried the lavender lemonade, which was one of the most refreshing and interesting things I've tasted in a long time. The lemon lime pistachio biscotti was awesome, super crunchy with the captivating flavor of lemon and lime zest. We also treated ourselves to a piece of habanero chili fudge, which was dreamy, and a lavender cream filled dark chocolate candy, also good with intense, natural flavors. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It's a place we will go to again when in Hudson

Mina C.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance and the staff is friendly. The Chai Latte was very good. It had the right amount of sweet on it.

Maria G.

Yelp
Rude customer service. The people working couldn't be bothered to reply to a question I had, nor my "hello, or"have a nice day," as I left. The delicious specialty coffee drinks almost made up for the feeling that I was unwelcome...

Toni O.

Yelp
I can only speak for the things I purchased - it may have been just poor choice for the store, but I want to be honest here and say that I got a matcha smoothie and it was pretty gross. Before you think I don't know how matcha is supposed to taste...I am a matcha fantatic - put that ish in anything and I'll think it's delicious. Except this six dollar smoothie that was so pale and tasteless that I wound up throwing it out. The girls at the coffee bar though were extremely polite and professional, so no qualms there. I also got marzipan strawberries dipped in chocolate and they were hard as stone. There's another fifteen dollars well spent.... Perhaps it was just a coincidence that the two things I picked in a store of so much variety sucked, but I don't think I'm going back anytime soon.

Dikshya S.

Yelp
Lovely staff, very helpful. Had an assortment of chocolates to go - totally delish! Didn't get a chance to get some tea, may be next time!

Joshua T.

Yelp
Great shop for chocolates and tea! I get most of my loose leaf tea here. The Rooibos Provence is probably my favorite! They also have great coffee drinks and the Matcha Lattes are amazing!

B R.

Yelp
This place sparkles! It's beautifully presented with friendly service, delicious pastries and cooling drinks (lavender lemonade) on a hot day. The excellent variety of coffee & tea accessories made for fun shopping, too. So glad to have found this gem on our very first visit to Hudson.

Kyle A.

Yelp
A must visit in Hudson! Very friendly service! I got the Brownie Sundae and the brownies are amazing with big chocolate chips and the ice cream and chocolate drizzle were great! My girlfriend got a Bowl of Soul tea drink and said it was very yummy! Did not get any of their fresh chocolates or pies/cakes but looked really good and would get some next time! Very cool shop as well!

Alexandra W.

Yelp
Walked in about an hour ago and my youngest son (3) picked-up a chocolate bar. As I was reaching to see if it had milk in it so he could get it, a woman with short, gray hair said "please don't let him touch anything! Tell him to put that down." My husband, kids and I were shocked. We left. Why can't we read the ingredients?! I was so psyched to get some vegan chocolate drinks and treats, since we all needed it!

Marta G.

Yelp
We had a late morning coffee and pastry (vegan) there. Amazing service. The best oat milk cappuccino in town, hands down. We were visiting the town just for two days, and were happy to replenish our tea stash. What an amazing collection! Also, got a nice box of connoisseur chocolates for our daughter!

Paige G.

Yelp
Hot chocolate was amazing! They had almond milk, soy milk, and regular milk. They also had a wide selection of teas. Maybe 100, or more. They have chocolates and cakes. They have gluten free options and vegan options. Overall, this place was awesome and me and my family are definitely going again.

Steve L.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! Lots of teas to choose from. The desserts are all delicious. Their chocolates are heavenly!!. The staff is super friendly. The ambiance is very nice and peaceful. Definitely a must visit when in town.

Sugar M.

Yelp
Cute store with many delicious options. From drinks to gourmet teas and chocolates. Delicious!
