Good food - service was a bit slow but we were a bigger team, 12 all together but out waitress was nice

Best place in Varazdin to try local dishes. I had Lungic and also Verglec steak that is house special and it was great! the server was quite busy but he was great and friendly.

The food is delicious and the portion sizes are generous. The service is of high quality and very professional. I recommend a visit to Verglec if you find yourself in Varaždin!

Such a nice place. Very good location and nice walking streets. Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and elegant environment. Food was tasty and very good. Easy to access even with kids or a wheelchair. Very good prices. Just go and enjoy. I really recommend it. Enjoy

While visiting Zagreb, I did a short trip to Varaždin to visit the local attraction, the Sermage Palace. I arrived there at lunch time and found the restaurant through Google maps which was quite central and walking distance from the main local attraction. The food was great, portions where well served and the soup was all you can eat style. For the main dish, I had a delicious Lungić (pork) with some sort of croquette mashed potato and apple sauce. To drink I tried the local Pan beer. The staff was very friendly and service was surprisingly fast. Lastly the price was fair for what we asked.

If it wasn't for the very kind young waiter, the overall rating would be surely lower. We came in with our sleeping toddler, happy there weren't many people around and the covered terrace seemed ideal. But the older waiter serving us thought differently, or didn't think at all as he tried and unfortunately succeeded to wake our toddler up while cleaning the next door table as if he was working in a students' menza. The dish I ordered, duck with buckwheat, was too salty and the 3 pieces of meat were actually two as the third was just bones or a decoration. My husband got a slightly better one, pork meat with 'mlinci' but the food or the service is definitely not to come back for.

Very nice restaurant, fresh, testy and quick. Prices are fear. Local food. The city is very nice as well. You have to come in the morning during the weekend if you want to see the castle and the program, after 13:00h only restaurants are open :) Recommended have to visit this restaurant if you are in town.

Beautiful restaurant in Varazdin. We sat in their beautiful terrace for a Croatian dining experience. The food was authentic Croatian food from the Zagorje region. Lots of good pork and beef dishes. I had the Pleskavica s Sirom (Croatian style hamburger pattie with cheese). Was delicious!! Very nicely priced and large portions. The service was impeccable and our server spoke English which was a plus for my non-Croatian speaking wife. Try it out if in Varazdin!!
