Had a great time Thanksgiving day. We stopped in for a beer and to play soom pool. We were pleasantly surprised with Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you. Food was amazing and everyone was so friendly

This the kind of plates they serve with the food… 🙄 I’m kidding! Best damn bar around! I’ve spent many years at this place. Wonderful service and people.

Great place to watch a game, the bartenders are all very friendly, drinks are priced with the customer in mind!!

I met my wife here almost 5 years ago. Was just supposed to be hanging as friends, ended with us side by side every since!!!! Great atmosphere, friendly service, amazing people. Only bad thing was the third wheel that came with us. But we got ride of her and had a great night.

First time and it was an overall great experience.

The "owner" verna, was incredibly rude to my family. She all but kicked us out because her people were more important. It was smoky and gross in there. Never again.

Wife and I visited 2 days ago and overall the place wasn't bad. Not a place for whiny NON-SMOKERS (but tolerable), Cigarette smoke was THICK since there was about 30 people in the establishment. Plenty of pool tables, and games vending machines, atmosphere at the time we were there was quiet, friendly, wait staff was attentive, beer on tap was COLD and prices reasonable. We stayed an hour. We will visit here again.

They obviously don't want tourists in the bar. We were there about 12 noon, I asked if they served food, they said they had to turn the grill on. We sat down , nobody came and asked our orde we were very uncomfortable, and left no star rating at all

They poor the drinks nice and they have great bands the pool and darts are always good. enjoy

If I could rate this place less than 1 Star I could. Not often a bar can completely blow it but this place did. We stopped by on a Saturday night with family & friends to enjoy live music & a couple beers. We were met with a grossly smoke filled, essentially customer empty bar with "Reserved for Verna birthday" signs on all the banquet tables. We asked a woman sitting @ one table if we could join her, she welcomed us. We sat down and I went to the bar to grab us a couple beers. After surrendering my driver's license to get a "membership," I bought myself a bottle of Guinness and a Coors Light for my husband. I had no idea a Guinness ($4.50!) could be screwed up, but it can. I can't describe what that beer tasted like, but it wasn't Guinness and it wasn't at all pleasant. After about 2 sips a grouchy old woman in a sash & tiara approached told us the table we were at was RESERVED and we would have to "move over" when her friends arrived. I pointed to the table she referenced and asked "You would like us to sit at that table?" and she replied "No. That one's reserved, too." ???? We moved to the back by the pool tables (behind all of the EMPTY TABLES @ 10pm - apparently Verna overestimated the turnout for her suarè). I finished my crap beer and we left. The redeeming factor of a completely crappy experience? The bowl of fresh pretzels and Andes Candies I snagged off one of the birthday tables. Om-nom-nom!

Well I t was about 3pm on a Thursday afternoon and we dropped in to this bar Vern's. Vern's is as real Texas bar, yes some smoke I don't but it use to not bother so many, but if you like cold beer, well made drinks interesting people play pool throw darts then this is a good place to checkout.

Was quite and nice drinks where ok I enjoyed my self but wasn't much ppl there when I got the
