Google
Usually, we love eating at Vero, but this visit was disappointing. We sat at the bar and specifically asked the person at the register to let us know when the pizza came out of the oven so it wouldn’t get cold. Unfortunately, the pizza was cold when it arrived. The crust had too much flour underneath and my partner’s gluten-free pizza was burnt, with unmelted cheese. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

Google
Fantastic pizza 🍕 inside Denver Central Market on Larimer St downtown Denver! Get some Urban Farmhouse's Hot Honey and just drizzle on everything...WOW! A little sweet, followed by a little heat - you can thank me later 😊

Google
I mean, what a delicious burrata and prosciutto dish. Exactly what I was hoping for and got half-way through it and realized it needed a stellar review. $12 and worth it!!!

Google
Every time I go to the Denver Central Market, I like to try something new, and this time, it was Vero. I ordered the ricotta gnocchi. The gnocchi was tender and flavorful and there were big chunks of creamy fresh mozzarella tossed in a lovely tart and smooth tomato cream. It was topped with a generous handful of fresh basil. It was a touch pricey for the portion but it was delicious!

Google
Got the pasta carbonara, I’m not generally one to leave reviews, but this was BAD. Egg was scrambled, and it didn’t have a good flavor at all. I’m quite surprised the cook/staff allowed it to be served.

Google
Delicious pizza in a beautiful place! We loved Denver central market. We've heard only amazing things about pizza in Denver and this place was really great! Thin and crispy pizza with delicious burrata all made in their oven.

Google
I was immediately drawn in by the interesting toppings on the Bella Pizza and had to try it. While it was good, it needed a sauce because it was pretty dry. I also got an order of Smoked Mozz & Coto PIZZA'CO. They were fantastic. I loved the crispy cheese on the outside. I'd come back and try other pizzas, but I'd make sure to get one with sauce next time.

Google
Review for the Bella: This pizza combines figs with balsamic vinegar and a variety of fresh cheeses. The sweet and savory worked well with the cheeses, and was especially enjoyable on their brick oven baked fresh dough. I would have liked to see smaller fig pieces coupled with a fig sauce instead of the large pieces of fig. It would have enhanced the overall flavor and presentation. Vero is well worth visiting

Yelp
We always eat in here. I believe one of the best pizza place in Denver if you like your pizza little charred. Margarita was too salty today but it never happened before. Their Bella pizza is best.

Jacqueline D.

Yelp
Service was quick and pizza was tasty. Not the best wood fire pizza I've had but pretty darn good. I would come back again if I was in the area.

Yelp
Located inside the central market, you can find this Italian/Spanish pizzeria tucked to the left. Even on a Monday afternoon, this place was busy. We chose a pizza--added Burrata, spaghetti and meatballs and a gnocchi. It's actually my second time back in the city visiting this! The wait staff was friendly and patient when ordering. You get a number, find a table and wait for the food to come out fresh. I loved that it came with silverware including a real plate. I don't know about you, but pizza hits different on a real plate. The area was at a medium voice level, clean, and was a mix of people working, friends chatting and families dining. All in all a great place.

Kimia O.

Yelp
Love it! We tried the Pesto and La Vero pizza. If you're looking for a good Italian pizza, totally recommend Vero!!

Mallory B.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in Denver, in my honest opinion. The margherita pizza here, with the fresh Basel, is one of the best pizzas around. Simple, light, and tasty. They do have other dishes like bruschetta. They have a cooler filled with authentic Mexican sodas. You cannot beat this place.

Hannah H.

Yelp
Crispy, delicious perfection. Visiting from out of town and my husband got the el jefe pizza and it was outstanding. All the flavors blended so well together and was a burst of deliciousness.

Emma C.

Yelp
We came on weekday night and the market was still pretty crowded. I got their ricotta gnocchi. I think the gnocchi was a bit dense for my personal taste but definitely tasted very fresh and homemade. I think the sauce also tasted very fresh but also kind of one note. I would have liked something else in there to diversify the texture or taste a bit. Overall, it was a good meal and portion - I would come back to try their pizza or some of their other pasta dishes.

Alex A.

Yelp
I always try to get a pizza when in Denver. Vero did not disappoint. The person up front was very nice and informative. Their Diavola pizza with the burrata center piece is top notch! I loved it. The crust was cooked nicely, and the rest of the pizza was balanced between all ingredients. Loved the rich and creamy burrata. I really enjoyed it and will try to eat it again in the future. Also, the ambience is great within the Central Market.

Yelp
i'm an out of towner, but have visited the Denver Central Market twice and both times went to Vero Italian. Both times, I was impressed by the quality of the food and the flavors. They make great dishes with great depth and the staff has always been very nice. The ambiance is pretty much an extension of the Denver Central Market which is a communal area where I can only describe it as kind of an "artisanal food court" experience as everyone gets their food and brings it back to their party. Cool spot for pasta for sure and I'd probably go back next time I'm here.

JaNiece C.

Yelp
Not your average pizza. The ingredients are fresh and delicious!! Pizza made to order right in front of you. This place was a win! A little pricey but worth it. Service was just okay. Nothing amazing stood out. I will return!

Kate L.

Yelp
This was a fun stop on the RiNo food tour! Vero is located inside the Denver Food Market on the south side of the building. The staff were busy making pasta, taking orders, and quickly addressed our group with pasta ready to taste! The ambiance of the whole market building is fun, and bustling! We ate the gnocchi which had fresh basil grown down the street at Farm & Market!

Liz C.

Yelp
I was craving pasta and stopped by Vero and tried their Ricotta Gnocchi. The staff were friendly and I loved the ambiance they had. While waiting for my order, I saw the staff prepping a bunch of fresh meats, cheeses, and veggies which looked so good! I was excited for the food to come out. The gnocchi itself was a bit thicker than what I am used to. However, it tasted homemade and was very chewy. The flavor of the sauce and the chucks of ricotta were a perfect addition to the gnocchi. The portion was a pretty big size - so I was able to take the leftovers home. I'm planning to go back to try the pesto pasta they had!

Lourdes G.

Yelp
this is really yummy oven brick pizza made fresh to order. i could taste every ingredient in each bite. this pizza has a spice level to it, whether it comes from the sausage or another ingredient, all of them connect so well on your palate.

Roxana V.

Yelp
What a delicious pizza!!! The ricotta cheese with the balsamic glaze was an excellent combination. Sweet and salty all the way. It was $18 for six slices of pizza with goat cheese, ricotta, shredded mozzarella, black fig, walnut, lemon juice, watercress, and balsamic glaze. A two-handed pizza. This location is in the Denver Central Market. We visited on a Saturday. It was crowded, and they served us our food within 15 minutes. I would recommend a visit when if you're in the downtown Denver area.

Grace N.

Yelp
Incredibly mid pasta. Honestly a stretch to call it spaghetti bolognese. Pasta was overcooked and the sauce had a pool of liquid at the bottom. AC is also broken in the food hall and depends on large fans.

Rob A.

Yelp
Wood-fired pizza nestled inside the bustling Denver Central Market. To get to them, you'll find a place to park along one of the streets or the limited parking lots in the area. Walk over to the Central Market's main section and enter either the street side or from the back alley. Not a deserted back alley but a nicely repurposed area between the buildings designed for shopping and dining. Heck, this whole section of town has been redesigned for the better. Inside, it's a nice open-air market with a variety of stations to visit or browse. You'll find people queued up to counters, carrying plates of food, or seated in the shared dining area enjoying their company and/or meals. You can spot Vero's over in a nice bright cheery area with a long counter and red brick background. The large round green mosaic-tiled oven can't be missed. That oven is where the pizza-making magic takes place. There are a number of pizza and pasta selections to choose from. I ordered a whole pizza to eat a couple of slices there and the rest boxed to go. There's something about oven-fired where the crust gets flame-kissed to a nice light charred quality that makes the whole pizza-eating experience distinct and memorial. Oh and that oven bakes pies super fast! No long waits here.

Ashley R.

Yelp
Going to give it 5 stars only because when it's good, it's fantastic and they deserve that credit. The only problem is, it's not always consistent. Would be great if the staff followed a recipe. We ordered a pizza and there was so much chopped garlic on it, we had to scrape the toppings off just to eat it (and we love garlic). The ragu is either perfect or tastes like they spilled a cup of black pepper and it overpowers all the awesome flavors in the sauce.

Alejandra D.

Yelp
Delicious pizza in a beautiful place! We loved Denver central market. We've heard only amazing things about pizza in Denver and this place was really great! Thin and crispy pizza with delicious burrata all made in their oven.

Yelp
I'm in my mid 40s and have eaten A LOT of pasta all over the world, including 2 weeks in Italy...but this little food stall served the best Gnocchi dish I've ever had! I had devoured lots of meat the past few days and wanted to go vegetarian, how little did I know.... $16 Gnocchi al Telefono: Ricotta gnocchi, tomato sugo, fresh mozzarella, basil, grana...this all sounds pretty generic and simple, but the precise blend of all these flavors were intense and mouth watering. The sweet zesty tomato sauce, warm melted cheeses, hints of basil, and each tender gnocchi piece were all so sensational and so very Italian! Not sure when I'll ever be back in Denver, but I'll try to make it back here just for this Gnocchi dish!

Elizabeth J.

Yelp
I have been ordering delivery from Vero Italian and it's really tasty and affordable, which can be a difficult to find combination. They're consistent and not too much or too little of any toppings. Similar to New York Style pizza, crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. We often get the margherita and either the sausage and mushroom or the spicy soppressata. This time I swapped out the Diavola for the Bella, which is a fig, balsamic, and arugula. It was a bit dry and not my favorite, so I'll go back to the old standbys on my next order. I haven't been in person yet, but look forward to biking over when the weather is nice.

LT H.

Yelp
Best pizza we've had for a while! The owner is Italian and he made the pizza himself. We had Salsiccia e Funghi pie sharing for two. They also sell pizza per slice. We sat at the counter in front of the oven and enjoyed our conversation with him. Great location in the Central Market. Plenty of 2hr street parking too!

Guillermo G.

Yelp
This is the Italian option inside the Denver Central Market. My son wanted pasta. I ordered him the kid's pasta, which was either orecchiette or bucatini, choice of sauce, and choice of cheese or no cheese. He went with bucatini, butter sauce, and cheese. They asked for my phone number to text me when it was ready. It didn't take long. The pasta was excellent, perfectly al dente. The butter sauce and cheese were delicious. I liked it more than my son. He prefers his pasta softer. I saw them making the pizzas and they looked tasty. It didn't seem to me they sell them by the slice, only while pies. If they sold them by the slice, I would have bought one (I wasn't going to order a whole pie for myself). Service was nice. They speak Spanish too.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Please go back to the old sauce and I'll come Back. It's just too pasty now, doesn't have that authentic feel to it now

Joanie W.

Yelp
We get take out here all the time, great gluten free pizza! Their times are usually quicker than listed on the website for takeout which is always a plus.

Jessica C.

Yelp
I got the Diavola. If you need a pizza fix, it does the trick! It's your standard pizza with salami, tomato sauce, cheese, and oregano. Service was pretty quick. There's a DJ at night in the Central Market.

Matthew C.

Yelp
Could be one of the wettest and non tasteful pizzas I've ever had. I don't write bad reviews but this place is definitely not going on a recommendation to anyone. Very unfortunate in such a cool market.

Katherine K.

Yelp
A very sunny afternoon and the neighborhood was hoppin'. Quick turnaround from order to pick up. Delicious pizza and bread alongside our salad.

Erin H.

Yelp
Delicious pizza great topping flavours. Taste fresh. The crust levels this up another notch.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Delicious and made to order food! Can't get any better than that! Loved the atmosphere of this place you can walk around and order lots of different kinds of food all at one place!

Mo C.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza, super fast! Dropped in to grab a pizza to take over to Larimer Lounge. It was genuinely difficult to choose a pizza because all of their options sounded (and smelled) amazing. Went with the Verdura pizza to go and got an estimate of 10-15min. I headed over to the bar to grab a drink while I waited and by the time I got my drink, I got a text from Vero that my pizza was ready! Super fast! The Verdura was Itallian-style, thin crust, light sauce, light cheese. It was delicious and paired well with the beers we were enjoying at the show. Heads up! This is one of those neighborhoods where streets have been closed off to allow restaurants some outdoor space for social distancing. So, this place can be challenging to get to or park near.

Andrea K.

Yelp
Great pizza! Friendly and fun staff! Entertainment while you wait as you watch the dough tosses and pizza prep. These are delicious wood fired pizzas. Fresh up!

Jacqueline N.

Yelp
2 pizzas and 2 pastas for 5 people is the perfect portion! We ordered the diavola (spicy sausage) and the ham and mushroom pizza and both were good. The crust was super thin on the bottom and crispy on the edges. But the standout was the bucatini pasta! Amazing rich flavor with the most al dente perfectly cooked pasta. It was delicious! Would certainly recommend

Alisa J.

Yelp
Awesome pizza in Denver Central Market! We had the verdura and it was great! Awesome crust, sauce, and toppings! The wait wasn't too long and we sat the pizza counter. Highly recommend!

Lynn T.

Yelp
Tried this place out and it was pretty good! The pasta was harder than I usually cook my pasta but still good! Very garlicky and flavorful! Will come back to try their other pastas

Boushrah K.

Yelp
I enjoyed my order! I got a pesto pizza and enjoyed every slice. Their pesto is incredibly flavorful. The toppings go great together and the crust was perfectly crispy with a tolerable amount of char peppered throughout. The only thing I would change would be the amount of tomatoes--I would ask for more. The other two pizzas had some issues. The Margherita pizza was delicious, but you can see there's a random hole on the left side where it appeared the dough was maybe torn before cooking. There were also several soggy areas on the pizza where it seems the sauce may have been extra watery or not mixed well. This made some slices uncomfortably soggy. The last pizza (that was mostly eaten) was rated by my friends as a 6/10. The combination of the toppings was great, but the crust was clearly burnt, and similar to the Margherita pizza had several soggy spots due to the sauce being too watery. The service was great! The person who took our order was friendly. The food took about 10-15 minutes also which was perfect! When my boyfriend went to grab our food, he also brought the soda bottle that he bought to have it opened, and the guy took the soda back and grabbed him a fresh cold one to drink which was considerate of him! Outside of food made to order, Vero also sells good quality olive oil, various pastas, and other pantry items in case you'd like to making Italian food at home! Lastly, being in Denver Central Market, the place is frequently milling with people. There is plenty of seating inside and outside to accommodate, but it can get pretty loud inside if that's something you prefer to avoid!

Lily S.

Yelp
You cannot pass by this stall without wanting to order their pizza. The smell from the wood burning oven would stop you from doing anything else. It was a snowy week day night and the entire place was slow. I can tell between the two workers, the girl was a trainee and the boy was her trainer. He was being very patient with her, giving her verbal tips on how to stretch the dough. Still she made it a tad too big and when the final product came out of the oven, it couldn't fit the pizza box very well. So they gave it to us and he went on making another one for our order! I didn't mind the "ugly pie", it was hot and cheesy. Too bad the flavor profile was missing something - perhaps a tad of sweetness to complement the tomato based sauce. It wasn't the best pizza I've had but the experience of watching it being made was pleasant!

Abby F.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. This was the best pizza I've had in a longggg time (and I eat a ton of pizza). Plus it's in such a cool location- the Denver central market. I was trying not to eat but when the couple next to us had 2 pies and said it was the most tasty, authentic pizza they've had, I caved. I ordered the Diavola and it was so fresh from the crust to the tomato sauce. I went to order and my pizza was freshly made in just 5-7 min (that's how you know the oven is on point). The staff was super friendly and it's an open kitchen so you can watch them create your special pie. Compared to other pizza places in Denver this is hands down my favorite and the most reasonably priced win-win. Grab a pizza, grab a drink, and enjoy the vibe of the Denver central market.

Catherine C.

Yelp
If you are indecisive, like me, this is a good pizza place to try. I ordered two different white pizza flavors on one pie. It was split down the middle and the toppings were placed accordingly. I ordered the Bella, topped with goat cheese, ricotta, shredded mozzarella, black fig, walnut, lemon juice, watercress, and balsamic glaze. I LOVED the contrast of the different flavors like the sweet black fig contrasted with the balsamic glaze. The other half of my pizza was the Agrodolce. This pizza comes with white onion, roasted garlic, shredded mozzarella, speck, grand, arugula, and white balsamic glaze. Again I LOVED the white balsamic glaze on the pizza. They both had the WOW factor, which made it difficult to choose a favorite. This delicious pizza was ready in an incredibly short amount of time. The location of Vero is also a plus. It's located within the Denver Central Market on Larimer Street.

Rachel H.

Yelp
This used to be my SPOT for pasta, I have eaten here weekly for over 2 years. It's hard to find affordable, quick pasta. In the last 2 weeks, the quality has gone down noticeably. The Gnocchi red sauce was watered down and lacking in flavor. The Bucatini was undercooked and swimming in cream. Maybe there has been a recent staffing change, but I hope Vero finds its pasta magic again!

Denver B.

Yelp
Stopped by on a very busy Saturday, and I mean busy! Some family from out of state wanted to head to RINO and the Central Market and we stopped off here for lunch. Girlfriend ordered a vegetarian combo to her liking with gluten free dough and I ordered the Diavolo, we split a large salad. Pizzas were cooked nicely, great crust and flavors throughout. Impressed with the volume of food Vero's employees put forth and the quality is right there! The market is as mentioned, crowded and loud. The food is very good.

Oliver M.

Yelp
Food is great. Found the longest strand of hair in my food with my mouth though. It was quite disgusting.

Kathy L.

Yelp
This is located on the left side in central market. Got a box of salsiccia funghi which is sausage and mushroom pizza and it was freshly made in 10 mins. Pizza was kind of salty but still good. Remember to ask for crush peppers and parmesan.

Isabella P.

Yelp
I've only ever gotten takeout from here when visiting Denver, but I can honestly say it's the best pizza I've ever had. My boyfriend and I couldn't stop talking about it since we left and have craved it ever since

Simone R.

Yelp
Second time we've eaten a pizza here and it is not appetizing at all. We thought maybe the first time we ordered something wrong, but this time we ordered a white pizza and it's not edible. The cabbage cooked is sour, it's dry, no salt, and all around not good. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Dell K.

Yelp
Very cool food stall in Denver Central Market. Kind quick service. They have a little market with items perfect for a pasta night. Brick oven set up right there in the Vero stall where they cook your pizza. Very nice ingredients. Pizza was made right there in front of my eyes, from hand tossed pulled out dough, topping the Za' and then putting it Into the brick oven . Wait was not long at all, about 10 minutes for my pizzas to be ready. The crust was a nice balance of crisp to chewy as you got towards the center of the slice. Not over or under sauced. I also tried out a local root beer from Durango CO. That was awesome too. I'd try this pizza out again.

Abel T.

Yelp
We came here on our last night while on vacation. I ordered the Salsiccia E Funghi. It has mushrooms and I usually don't like mushrooms but I was feeling adventurous and decided to leave them on. It was a pretty decent sized pizza. It was hands down one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The mushrooms on it were delicious as well. I downed the whole box lol. I cant wait to come back and try more.

Emma C.

Yelp
bomb assssss pizza!!! would recommend la vedura however our lil appetizer rolls were singed to a crisp and not edible :( it was as if the ovens were cranked up to speed up the cooking process if you stick to the pizza, this place is a hit

Dace L.

Yelp
This pizza ranks in my top 3. I can really taste the authenticity and freshness of all the ingredients (especially the sauce). It was really cool to see them make it in front of me in the pizza oven. I got the cheese pizza with an added topping of pepperoni.
