Vero Review - Upper East Side - New York - The Infatuation

"Vero is a dimly-lit wine bar that works for a low-key date on the Upper East Side. Along with the street seating out front and the small bar, there are candlelit tables with red leather booths at the back of the space. They do Happy Hour until 7pm, which makes this a good spot to meet someone after work and share wine and small plates, like cheese and charcuterie or any of the 10 different types of bruschetta." - Matt Tervooren

Site keeps telling me it “can’t connect” when I just spent $500 to apply for an apartment. They said they won’t be helping me till the next day rolls around. Disgusting. Not to mention the data collection.

Every application made through them has failed. Missed out on 3 rentals after over 6 weeks of applications. They won't let you upload documents and getting ahold of support is impossible.

I’m a realtor based in New York and l have collectively closed over 400 deals and I cannot stress enough that this verification platform is absolutely the worst. It will lose you client and deals. I have worked with an amazing portfolio of clients that have had very seamless rental processes, that can get them done within 48 hours unfortunately with Vero it causes more of a lag and Customer Service is non-existent. You can only email or chat with them and no phone calls are able to be processed.

Completely agree with Luke’s review. They want your BANK ACCOUNT LOGIN Info, payroll login and permission to use your biometric data for 3 months for them AND their (undisclosed) partners, for guarantors and applicants. I can’t imagine this is safe. Do not recommend at all. Use at your own risk.

They work with fake rental scammers, allowing them to steal application money. Vero does not do any verification of the companies they work with and has no method for punishing or removing scammers. Past that, they want the login info to your bank and disability, which is a potential liability nightmare (and possible HIPAA violation) and does not pull the correct information. Stick with delivering your stuff in person and avoid rentals using this system.

I am moving all of our 20,000-plus residential apartment homes over to Vero. The cutting-edge technology and the user experience seem to be unparalleled. The sales and implementation team have been fantastic, and I could not be more pleased with how the team interacts with our team. Great work!

I was able to apply to an apartment start-to-finish in under 10 minutes. No more taking blurry pictures of bank statements or offer letters. Vero made it so easy!

The apartment search process in Manhattan is nothing short of a headache. If it wasn't for Vero, I would've moved by now. Vero made everything easy and simple. Not to mention the plethora of well trained and helpful employees.
