⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the Best Cheesesteaks. Period. Verona Pizza might not be the biggest spot, but don’t let that fool you—this is easily one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. Period. If you're coming from far out, just be prepared: the place is small and very busy. There are only a couple tables inside, a few outside, and a bar by the window. Not really a sit-down restaurant vibe, so you might have to wait around for a table to open up. But let’s talk about the food. The cheesesteak was amazing. I’d put it right up there with Angelo’s, but Verona gives you more for your money. They pack a lot of steak into a big, satisfying sandwich. Definitely worth every dollar. The pizza was really good too. If you're looking for incredible food and don’t mind tight seating or waiting a bit, this spot is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be back.

The cheesesteaks were super tender and juicy with perfect amount of cheese on a fresh sesame roll. It was probably the best cheesesteaks I ever had! It was definitely worth the one hour drive. The staff were super nice and the service was fast and friendly. We also ordered a margarita pizza that was awesome, too. The crust, the fresh mozzarella, the original sweetness in sauce, everything was great. I highly recommend and will definitely come back soon.

First off I never give bad ratings unless it warrants it. But this place is not what everyone says it is. I did not go on the weekend I did not go when it was crazy busy. So with that being said. Man oh man how horrible the bread for the cheesesteaks were. They were burnt that it over powered the taste of the cheesesteaks. Now the next part may ruffle some feathers, but before anything this is just my opinion *btw ran multiple food businesses, grew up in the restaurant business, became a chef etc.* To much meat that as soon as we ate it the cheese stuck to that stupid newspaper like wrap all meat fell out and half the roll ripped away. I did not have the cheesesteaks that long to warrant this. Second I ordered the wings specifically said like them crispy BUT NOT BURNT!! Well guess what burnt and not able to consume. I called and told them the issue and they were nice so in order for me to get a replacement I'll have to be in the area next time. Very disappointed in this because it jas been all over my social media pages claiming to be the best. Absolutely not and never will be. I took photo off wings but unfortunately I did not with the cheesesteak because I was beside myself after unwrapping it.

First of all the cheesesteak is outstanding! I had it a few times and it's always been consistent! I usually get fried onions and Cooper sharp with long hots. The meat to cheese ratio is great tons of chopped ribeye, but not too chopped. The seeded roll is always on point, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside , not overly doughy , it's just right. I only can eat half if I want to function the rest of the day so you really can have half for lunch and other half for dinner. Now on to the chicken cutlet. This is a banger of a sandwich. The cutlets are cooked perfect and they put a lot on the sandwich as well.As the fresh salted broccoli rob and a sharp provolone. The longhots are perfect. Not overly hot but they do have a nice burn if u like that and they have great flavor. I definitely need to try the pizza next.

We found this place because of their award winning cheesesteaks - a major claim in a suburb of Philadelphia. Their cheesteaks were filled with gooey cheese, delicious steak, and a great sesame bun - and lived up to the acclaim. The buffalo chicken cheesesteaks also delicious, but more chopped than shaved chicken. Don’t miss the pizza, the crust is amazing and the toppings didn’t disappoint! Highly recommend this place for cheesesteaks and pizza.

Verona popped up on my Instagram feed one day and the cheesesteak looked incredible. It being 15 min from my job, i had to check it out and see for myself. Let me tell you.. I've had a lot of decent steaks in my time. But this one? I truly think this might be the best cheesesteak I've ever had! This thing is absolutely LOADED! Piled high with meat, melted cheese throughout the sandwich and the freshest bread (house made daily) ive ever had! A lot of places claim to have the best cheesesteak around... Verona proves it! 10/10 HIGHLY recommend and cannot wait to come back!!!

Great food, and the cheesesteak was worth the wait (guy ahead of me ordered 20 of them). Pizza has a great crust,ight and crisp with a bit of chew. Sweet tomatoes and great cheese.

One of the best Philly cheeses teams i ever had. Recommend to all food lovers. Traveled here from far to just get their Philly cheese steak, it was worth it. I saw the food blogger in Insta and saved the address to come and eat here today.

Let me just start off by saying don't walk ... RUN here!!! I found this place on Instagram and I got more than I asked for in the best way. Somehow we arrived just before the lunch rush which was nice. I had no idea that this place was famous for their cheesesteaks, but I now know why. They were the best steaks I've ever had. The portions are gargantuan-- some of the biggest steaks I've ever seen. Two people can share one steak. The slices are also massive!! I wish this place wasn't 30 min away or this would be my go to pizza place. 10/10!!! Side note: There is some seating inside & the service is relatively fast.

So the cheesesteaks are HEFTY and Very very similar to cafe Carmela. $16 for cheesesteak. Two bites and you'll be done. It is VERY heavy. Skip the grandma pies. It's a super thick, focaccia style pie.

Came here for lunch. had to try this place after seeing a TikToker recommend this place. the cheese steak is legit. I added long hots for extra $. I think I'm not a fan of the cooper sharp cheese. and the long hots didn't add much. not sure if I'd get judge if I ask for regular American next time.

Ugh my mouth is freaking watering writing the review be ause the food was so good. Me and the wife got the cheesteak and the buffalo chicken cheesteak and when I tell you they were good I mean just that. They were packed with meat and it was pretty much enough to make second sandwich so the price of 17 bucks didnt really bother me. The service was fine and that means alot cause it was on an eagles sunday when it was packed. Love this place .only negative. I wish it was bigger because theres only like seats for 20 people. We sat outside and it wasnt that cold though. Trust me get the cheese fries to

While is suburban Philly, I stopped by Verona Pizza in Maple Glen to see if their cheesesteak lived up to all the hype. At first view, it sure looked like it would. But alas, it wasn't the 10 that was expected. On the positive side, it is a huge sandwich and served on a seeded roll. There's a ton of meet and the cheese was mixed in well. We forgot to ask for fried onions. Odd. Why would it not come standard with fried onions. At $16 the price point was fine for a cheesesteak of this size. It truly was massive. Flavor or was good, not great. And maybe the lack of onions contributed to that. The biggest complaint was the quality of the meat. Much of it was way too chewy for a high rated cheesesteak.

Okay after getting 3 undercooked pizza pie from Verona, I have to update my review. When this place first opened, the food was good. Service was good. Now with the establishment being popular, service is poor and the quality of the food has went down. I hate to compare this place to another establishment but I used to think this place is better than Angelo's in the city. BUT no matter how busy Angelo's pizza gets, the service is amazing and the quality is consistent. The reason I am saying this is because I think no matter how busy you get, it's really important to keep the consistency and never forget the basics. I may give this place another try but hopefully then, I'll get a fully cooked pizza.

Loving this new place (new for me) in my old hometown. I heard rumors of a place making great cheesesteak and pizza so had to try. The food hits! Cheesesteak is one of the better ones I've eaten for sure. It's not Philly but very close. I think if the bread was a bit better, it would have taken it to the next level but overall very solid. The pizza is done very well; got the margarita pizza and it was clean, simple, and delicious. Service was quick; 30 min for a busy weekend night is great especially for fresh made food. Definitely give it a try my fellow horsham friends

Unexpected treasure! This place was poppin' on a Wednesday afternoon! The staff was able to handle the crowd well and efficiently. Typical pizza place, lively and descent amount of seating. My husband and I shared a slice of pepporoni while we waited. It was descent. The Thai chili wings were okay, fried hard no breading, tasty sauce. The Margherita pizza was good. I am shocking myself but I do believe this might have been the BEST cheesesteak I have ever had! We ordered extra cheese, I don't know if we needed it but I wasn't mad at it. The peppers and meat were obvious high quality and that roll was the perfect chewy, soft and flavorful that everyone doesn't have!!!!

Saw this place on instagram so I had to give it a shot. I have to say, it was definitely worth the hour drive up the Blue Route. The cheesesteak was the best I have had outside of Angelo's in Philly. The seeded roll was crusty on the outside and soft inside. Great quality meat that was not over done. Mingled with grilled onions and cooper sharp. The pizza? Nice charred crust with no flop, and the sauce , cheese, and mushrooms i ordered were in perfect proportion. It's not really a sit down place, but they do have limited seating. Although busy, service was swift and polite. Will make this trip again

This place is a treasure. My husbands cousin invited us for dinner and we ended up here. The cheesesteaks are amazing. Super packed with meat and very flavorful. I had to eat some of the meat with a fork cause it would fall out. The chicken vodka pizza was great. We got extra vodka sauce and put some extra on top. Soooo good. My baby had the cheese pizza and at 3 ate 3 slices. The fried were also nice and crispy. Everything came out nice and hot. There's really no seating, so many people do take it. We were able to snag one of the tables outside. Good great, service A+

The kid at the counter/register couldn't have been anymore polite. I was excited that my pizza was finished way before the estimated 40 minute wait time but now I know why. When I arrived home it was so undercooked and just a sloppy mess.

I thought the pizza was good but not great. I like the crispiness due to the brick oven. Personally, I prefer a thinner crust. The cheese and sauce were good quality but I think more cheese and sauce would make it even better. Also had Caesar salad which had lots of fresh Parmesan cheese. Tables are small so keep that in mind if eating there. .

Extremely Huge sandwich... more than a pound of meat overflowing out of the seeded roll. Flavourful rib eye mixed with cheese and onions, perfect combination. I could barely finish the half that I started to eat. Is there such a thing as too much meat? No Highly recommend to the cheesesteak lover. 2 Yums up!

I kept seeing posts on instagram so we made the 40 minute drive to try the cheesesteaks. The cheesesteaks are loaded with meat. I did ask to have my orders seasoned with salt and pepper. The cheesesteak come with Cooper sharp which I prefer for a creamy consistency. The rolls are thick and seeded which reminded me of a Amoroso roll. I also added fried onions to the orders. Cheesesteaks are not complete with fries. The fries were crispy and golden. There is enough seating to dine-in. Beverages are available by the bottle no fountain drinks are available. The restaurant is immaculately clean and the service was quick.

Pizza was great. Cheesesteaks are filled to the brim with good quality ribeye. You don't find good pizza like this in most places, let alone in the suburbs. Absolutely a must go to spot.

Grandma style pizza is my favorite. Cheesesteaks are great and huge. Be sure to come hungry.

I was so excited to get to Verona pizza to get that "cheesesteak" that everyone has been praising about. I went there with a friend of mine. Once we got there, I ordered a cheesesteak (scoop and toast roll), fries and a drink. He ordered the same but he made it to go instead of dining in. My friend got his food within 15 mins of ordering and I was still waiting for my order. After about a half hour, I finally received my order but it was just the fries. I waited another 5 mins to get my cheesesteak only for it to be not made the way I wanted it. I took it back up to the counter to let them know and the lady at the counter said the cheesesteak was made the way I ordered it. The seeded roll was not scooped or toasted. By then, I had already lost my appetite and asked for a refund and she kept on telling me to wait for the cheesesteak to be made. I didn't care at this point and got my refund for the cheesesteak. At the end of the day, I don't think I will come back to this establishment due to the horrible customer service I received today. UPDATE: As I was leaving Verona Pizza, the owner Mo personally approached me to address my experience. He sincerely wanted to make it right and offered to prepare my cheesesteak himself, exactly to my preferences. I truly appreciated the level of care and commitment to customer satisfaction. The cheesesteak was excellent, and the personal attention made a lasting impression. For that reason, I am updating my review to 5 stars and highly recommend giving Verona Pizza a visit. I will be going back soon.

I went there yesterday for cheesesteaks and pizza. The food was outstanding service was incredible. Not a bad word to say about either one had to wait a little bit because of Sunday football, but the weight was worth it absolutely will return and I will give this a 4 1/2 star

Had the extreme pleasure of stopping in to Verona Pizza yesterday on my way to take my son to see Journey at Citizens Bank Park. I had been told by some people that I trust that this was a steak I absolutely needed to try. I'm happy to report that this was a fact. The place was bright and clean, the woman taking the orders was friendly and helpful, and they had both indoor and outdoor seating available. This is a $14 cheesesteak that is significantly better than these $18+ steaks I've tried. Fresh ribeye, cooper sharp, fried onion, on a seeded Sarcone's roll. There was A LOT of steak on this sandwich, and I mean a lot. I'm a big boy and I took half of this home. The onions were a good size dice, I usually like them a tad smaller but they were nowhere near the headlight sized onions at some places. The onions were also cooked perfectly. Plenty of cooper sharp melted throughout this sandwich. The roll speaks for itself, Sarcones has been a big name for a long time. If you haven't checked this spot out yet, you really should. My video will be up tonight but for now I can tell you...it Didn't Suck!

I go home 1 or 2 times a year. And every time, I gotta get an authentic cheesesteak fix. Usually, I gotta go into Philly to get it. Growing up, there was no good cheesesteak around these parts. It wasn't a thing. I was very pleasantly surprised this winter to be craving cheesesteaks and found Verona Pizza pop up as a promising place to get cheesesteaks when I searched on. Yelp. AND it's so close in the Genaurdi's shopping center. (To me, it'll always be Genaurdi's from when I grew up in the 90s :P) I wasn't sure about the cooper's sharp, so we got classic whiz. When it came out, it was ginormous! All that cheese and steak melded together in a beautiful concoction. It was exactly what we wanted. My husband and I shared one and we were stuffed. We also shared a huge slice of pepperoni pizza, which was also divine. Where I live in California right now, the pizza is expensive and mediocre. The pizza here is what pizza should be like. This is the pizza that tastes like home. Pizza that feeds people, the masses without it costing an arm and a leg. Anyhow, I'm so glad there is such a good cheesesteak and pizza place so close to home. Next time I'll try the cooper's sharp, and perhaps the chicken parm sandwich. (Another standard that doesn't exist in California. And if it does, it's all fancy.... or on the wrong type of bread... probably sourdough. Which is a fine bread, but it just isn't right.) We will be back!

I decided to try this place after my friend had been raving about the steak sandwiches she saw on TikTok. I ordered a cheesesteak with sharp Cooper, fried onions, light mayo, and ketchup, and when it arrived, I was impressed by how huge it was--plus, they gave me a fork, which tells you something about the size! The Sarcone's roll was perfect. The sandwich was delicious and packed with meat. I could barely finish the first half and took the second half to go. Place is more of a takeout spot but there is limited seating available which I had the opportunity to snag a table while there. Friendly customer service too!

Pizza was burned on all edges and on bottom. My husband called to get money back and we were told to return the pizza or we could get another pizza. Ok, so this is the 2nd time it's been burned. The 1st time was great but standards are slipping. We didn't feel like driving back in the rain. This is the 1st time, w've ever called any place to make a legit complaint and we're told by management we have to return the food? I guess they want me to drive back in the rain with some half eaten pieces of pizza to prove the obvious. Let's see: Gather pieces, fill the box, get in the car, drive thru traffic in the rain to prove what? Isn't it proof enough that we're declining a free pizza today or any other day. total fail. Poor customer service.

I love this place, but they had an epic failure to all its loyal customers tonight by not changing pickup time. Everyone is waiting over an hour beyond pickup time. So disappointed.

Pizzas okay for PA standards, cheese steaks are very overrated. You would think the beautiful seeded hero would be crunchy but it was spongy and soft which ruined it. Meat was bland. Very nice staff thought but I won't be back.

In town for a weekend baseball tournament and one of the dads on the team suggested Verona as having great pizza and the best cheesesteak in PA. As a lover of both we (my wife and son) decided to give it a try. this place was hopping! clearly one of the most popular pizza places around because there was a non-stop stream of customers coming and going, many of whom the staff seemed to recognize by name, which I always like, and greatly appreciate as good business practice. Although we waited nearly 30 minutes for two pizzas (and nothing complicated ... a large margherita and a small cheese w/pepperoni), it's was worth the wait. The food was delicious, hot, and oversized (at least the large was). Other customers at adjacent tables ordered steak & cheeses which also looked amazing! Unfortunately two things happened in the 45 minutes we sat in the store which knock my rating down a bit. First, unrelated to me and my family's direct experience but still worth mentioning because it leads to a bit of advice, two take-out customers were given the wrong items & had to return to the restaurant to have it rectified. The owner rectified it, and was very apologetic, but my advice to anyone choosing Verona: open the box before leaving the restaurant. I get it, mistakes happen, especially on a busy Friday night, but twice in the same 45 minute span is just a little careless. The second thing that bothered me, and much more than just a little bit (admittedly this is my pet peeve, but it shouldn't be happening INSIDE a restaurant), were the amount of FLIES buzzing around the restaurant and which we had to continually swat away from our food. Really gross, really annoying, and something the owner definitely needs to address with some types of traps, fly paper, fans, or something. I think if I lived around here and Verona was our "go-to" I definitely wouldn't be eating-in again ... take-out or bust. So, that's my advice ... definitely go (although it does make me wonder how many flies there may be in the back in the kitchen area), enjoy the food because it was really good, but it's take-out or bust (just verify your order before leaving).

I was recommended to come try this spot out from multiple people and I'm sure glad I did! I called in for pick up and it was ready in about 20 minutes. Ordered a large pizza half cheese and half pepperoni and that was pretty good. The crust part was crispy which I love and the flavor was delicious. Also ordered two cheesesteaks and those were just out of this world! There's not many great cheesesteak spots from where I'm at (Bensalem) and I don't want to drive into the city for a cheesesteak and this spot is now my go to spot for it. It was so delicious and packed with steak. Cheesesteak probably weighed like 5 lbs. I eat a lot of food and just eating half that cheesesteak filled me up already. Only thing that I wasn't a fan of was their fries but it's alright, still love this spot. Place is very clean. There's seating available inside and outside of the restaurant. Employees were so nice, friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back for more food and highly recommend to anyone that hasn't tried this spot out yet!!! If you have cravings for a cheesesteak, come here!

We are extremely disappointed with our Food. We've heard so much about this place and so many good reviews but it was awful. We spent $38 on a pizza and a cheesesteak all to throw it away. To start with, when we opened up the cheesesteak, it was like slop, the bread was completely soggy and falling apart. I was only able to get a couple bites down before I throw it away. What a waste of money and time as we drove 30 mins just to get their food.

The cheesesteak was comparable to Angelo's. It's GIGANTIC. Overflowing with meat. Super good. Didn't use a single drop of ketchup so that says it all. Got the margherita pizza. It was a little floppy, but pretty solid. Tasted awesome that night after heating it up in the toaster over on pizza setting. Will definitely be back to try some more pies though. Great crust - Light, crispy. Not doughy in the least. Just wish it wasn't 40 minutes away!

The best cheesesteak that I have had in my 9 years of living in PA.... the pizzas look great too so we will add that to our list next.

Great pizza. Best in the area (Central Bucks/Eastern Montco). We ordered the upside down pie. Crisp crust with lots of bubbles yet didn't taste charred at all. Great crunch. High quality cheese and tomato sauce that was the perfect consistency-not too thin, not too chunky. Staff were very nice. Place was clean. Very casual. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back to try the Hot Honey pizza

Hit or miss. I've ordered cheesesteaks here 3 times. The first time I got a 5 star steak. Perfectly done. The Cooper sharp is great addition to a well made steak. The next 2 times I got barely chopped up steak slathered in way too much cooper. Not kidding, there were slices of steak in my sandwich. The meat was generous all 3 times but the barely chopped or not chopped meat is bad.

Best cheesesteak outside of Philly''s best. It's up there with them i think. One steak = two very satisfied eaters. Meat is tender, moist and flavorful. Ample extras when ordered. I enjoy the veggie. Great portion of roast peppers, etc. Even at the prices of today, these offer value and quality.

Verona Pizza, aka big ass slice pizza. Pulled in yesterday on my lunch break as I was starving and ordered one slice of plain pizza. The gentleman who warmed up the slice for me I was almost inclined to tell him is that two slices, I only wanted one. I held my tongue however as I would feel like more of a smuck if I paid the same amount for half the serving. Once the slice came out of the oven it glistened with radiant oily streaks of delicious pizza cooked to perfection. The crust was crunchy and hard to leave any of it behind...so yes, I finished the massive slice. The worker who heated it up said you need to check out the pics of the cheesesteaks we have here on instagram, they weigh in at about two pounds and are boss. I would come back to try their cheesesteaks. I may upgrade to four stars after my next visit, but need to take some time off from pizza, cheesesteaks, carby items after inhaling the last item I ate here. As always people SYOY!!!

Best pizza around, always packed for good reason! Originally from Philly, I consider myself a pizza snob. This place is the closest to Philly and boardwalk pizza. My new go to.

We came in here with the family the first week it opened and it was very busy and a little chaotic. We got a cheesesteak and it fell short if expectations the first time around, it was on the drier side and the meat to bread ratio was uneven. We got it again for take out despite our experience and we were all surprised that it was WAYYYY better this time! Probably the opening week and things hadn't simmered and settled yet but this is one of our favorite spots to put into the rotation! The pizza is great too, love the crust and slightly sweet sauce! This place does it right!

So I went for the cheesesteak and ended up with not only the cheesesteak with perfect size onions but also fries with a slice of pepperoni pizza. Love the fact that it's beef pepperoni which is hard to find. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I got there when they opened so the place was absolutely spotless and clean. It was cool to see all the fresh pizzas being prepped for the lunch rush

*Update - I had a chance to try their upside down pizza and chicken caesar wrap. The pizza was good but not great and the wrap was average. I really enjoyed the crust but the sauce was average. I will try a few more pizza's to get a better opinion but for now I'll stick with their cheesesteaks. What did I hear? A great Cheesesteak from a new Pizza place in Maple Glen... After rolling my eyes I looked up Verona on the interweb. Ok, the pictures seem to support the gossip so I had to give it a try. Verona is in the same location as the former Gio's Pizza in the Maple Glen Shopping Center at the corner of Welsh Road / Norristown Road. As you enter the small restaurant there is a counter straight ahead with a plethora of pizza's by the slice along with a few tables so you can dine in. I ordered online and my Cheesesteak was ready when I arrived. (if you pay with a credit card there is a service fee) The current Cheesesteak scene staple seems to be Shaved Ribeye, Cooper Sharp Cheese on a nice seeded roll. I ordered what I just described but added fried onions. The cost was $14 which is inline with other steaks of this quality like Berardi Brothers in Southampton. Ok I take back the eye roll... This place is legit. Like top 5 legit. Good news for Maple Glen. Bad news for my waistline since I live 5 minutes away. I will update this review when I have a chance to try their pizza which I've also heard good things about. I can't wait to see who wins the Maple Glen Pizza battle between Verona and Maple Glen Pizza. My vote is for Verona.

FANTASTIC FOOD!!!!! Run, don't walk, to this place! Cheesesteaks are the best around!!! Pizza is excellent and chicken parm sandwich was very good. Small place but always a crowd. The only slight negative was the number of flies buzzing around while we ate. They could use those little fly fans from Amazon on the tables or bigger fans on the walls to help keep the little pests away.

The pizza and sandwiches at verona are phenomenal. Everything taste great and is prepared with care.

Absolutely wonderful. I only happened to be there and I have to say it is one of the best Philly Cheesesteaks in town and absolutely the best in this area of Montgomery county. Copious amounts of beef and cheese, definitely a meal on a bun. These are a sesame seeded bun, a little firmer than an Amoroso's if you know what I mean. That firmness is required to hold up as a sandwich. I ordered mine with hot peppers. Next time I'll say "light on the hot peppers" because they were approaching overwhelming as I wanted to savor the beef and cooper sharp American cheese. Next time I'll snap a picture!

Best Pizza in the area. Best Cheesesteaks. The crust on the pizza is unlike anything you'll find in the suburbs. The regular large pizza is also far cheaper than most of the places in the ambler/maple glen area

The cheesesteak tastes good, don't get me wrong, however, the meat to roll ratio is way off, in my opinion. It's almost impossible to eat with your hands without having to take some meat off or eat some with a fork before digging in. I shouldn't have to start with a fork. If you don't mind a mess, then go for it!
