"Sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard bring their East-meets-West-Coast sensibility to an 1,800-square-foot space on Melrose Place. They tapped Ralph Lauren veteran Carolina de Neufville to outfit the shop, marked by a pink facade, with their inimitable mix of leopard and greenery, plus a mix of vintage furniture and paintings by local artists. As far as the clothes go, their signature Dickey Jacket (a blazer with interchangeable dickeys) takes center stage, playing well with their new denim line. Timed to the store opening, look for a limited-edition run of denim jackets hand-painted by Donald Robertson, as well as a votive candle trio the duo designed with Robertson. To round out the assortment of flouncy floral printed dresses and sheer button-front blouses, there's an edit of sunnies from Le Specs, scarves from St Piece, and leather carryalls and pouches from Clare V. Love their commercials and find their clothes very attractive but sorry their prices are absolutely ridiculous. I have dresses and tops that are remarkably alike for fraction of the cost, please don’t say they are constructed better because the pieces of clothes I own are still like I bought them a few years ago… I understood you must pay out of your mouth for your lease and that’s why you charge your ridiculous prices so only upscale patrons don’t mind paying but for those of us who like fine wine and incredible meals I will continue finding your brand in Marshall’s or TJ Maxx for fraction of the cost…

Terrible Company to deal with. I received a promotion from American Express to purchase something from Veronica Beard for $175. I purchased two t-shirts from them for $175. The sizing is off, their size small is huge. I called the store, they were very rude and referred me to costumer service. I spoke to costumer service and they would not exchange for size XS. I even offered to go to their Melrose store to do a even exchange and they still refused to accommodate. As a company, it does not make sense to do a promotion and not take care of potential new costumers. Very bad business and marketing sense. I predict the company will not be in business for long.

I travel a lot so when in Los Angeles, my go-to boutique is Veronica Beard. I visit California every other month. I am always treated well by the staff and the clothes are comfortable and classy. They breathe well with my body especially the pants suits and jeans are my favorites. I also love their low heel shoes, again I travel frequently so looking my best is a priority. Anyway I look forward to new styles every season! Great job and thank you for always making me feel at home.

What a travesty. Doing online business with these people is infuriating and insulting. No customer service. Don't even try for a refund unless you are ready to fight for it. I finally got a return call from Winnie. She stated that the refund was in process and it would take the bank 3 to 10 days to process it. Yet another lie to delay my refund.. I called my bank and they stated they had a credit memo from veronica beard on May 9th. A credit memo is just a piece of paper saying that the money will be coming... it means nothing . Another delay tactic and ignorant lie. Winnie I hope that they pay you enough for doing what you are doing. This is deliberate and will not go away. I demand that veronica beard refund my money. What a joke ...pretending they have all this money... I will be sure to warn as many people I know about the practices that are employed by this disreputable company ... As a former celeb stylist and Malibu resident I hope you get it loud and clear. I will continue posting . AND contacting regulatory agencies about your deceptive business practices

Veronica Beard is the number ONE go to store when I'm in Los Angeles. The staff there has great customer service employees and show they really care about their customers. I really look at customer service when I'm shopping because that's very important to me. Last but not least, I really love their clothes. Great store to shop!

I had been a loyal shopper of Veronica Beard for many years until they wouldn't accept a return recently! I thought how cheap and petty that was so I've decided not to support them anymore! It was over one pair of booties that ran a half size too large, I was going to purchase another pair anyway! They lost a good long term customer over a pair of bootie's?! If I'm shopping in a larger department store like Saks or Neiman and run across their Brand I'll just roll past their products out of principle as there are too many other options available that know how to treat their customers with respect! Obviously VB needs a lesson in customer service and I don't want to get involved with them again!

I would give a negative review, doesn't even deserve 1 star.. I purchased item that I ended up returning. item was received by Veronica beard per email they sent me, indicating I'd get refund within 10 days.. after no refund, I tried calling but no luck getting through instead had to get a callback which I missed because it was 3 hours later. sent several emails to the customer service email they suggested. indicates email received and would get back to me 2-3 days (not). anyhow, continued to make calls and send emails over course of week. finally got someone that called me back and gave me some lame excuse why I didn't get credit yet but then said I would get it by days end. That didn't happen and I am still waiting, no responses on my emails and now no call backs. it's now been 20 days since they received the item, and now I believe they are avoiding me because they don't want to refund me the money. I will NEVER buy anything from them again! I am going to submit a complaint to Consumer Protection office and the BBB. very hard to believe the service from a designer.

This is for Veronica Beard. The company has a serious customer service problem. I ordered a sale top online. I entered the item and size. One of my credit cards popped up on the screen and IMMEDIATELY the order went through. I did not get to select the cc I wanted. I never put in a security code to seal the sale. I received two tops, a week apart, though I ordered just one the same day. Naturally, I never got through to customer service. Phone calls were unreturned. Email didn't work. Three weeks later I finally heard from one of their reps. She didn't deal with the problem as I stated it. Her responses were out in left field. I had returned the second top. She offered a refund through the normal VB return process. That would not have worked. The top was a final sale. I had sent the second top to the main VB address. No response there. Six weeks later I am out $110.00. I will never purchase with them again, online or in a store. VB, you have lost a customer.

It seems some of these reviews are for their online store. I am giving a review based on my multiple in store visits to the Melrose location. I absolutely love VB's jackets (although some knock off Balmain pretty hard in style). I love the versatility of their Dickey jackets especially. This store really irritates me & I think they need to train staff ALOT better. Every time I have gone in here, the sales girls are rude and pretentious. I wonder if they realize they work in a retail store?..Anyways, I actually was about to purchase a jacket I loved and wanted to try it on to be sure on the style. One of the sales girls looks at the tag and then gives me another (larger) size and says "maybe you should try on this one". Unbelievable and unacceptable. Btw, I have many of their jackets and know my size. I won't step foot in this location ever again. Also, watch out for their horrific return policy. Ask before you buy anything. Or better yet, do not buy from them. If I want one of their items I get it from Nordstrom.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am posting this in hopes that this public post might actually get customer service to engage. I made a sizable online order and when it showed up it was wrong. They sent me duplicates of things that I didn't order and in one case charged me for two shirts (and I only ordered one) and only actually shipped me one. I have left two voicemails, requested a call back and emailed three times. Still nothing. Given the clothes are expensive this double charging is not a small amount. Once I fix this I will not be ordering again even though I love the clothes.

Veronica Beard has good clothing and footwear, but the customer experience is terrible. I ordered shoes online over a month ago. They were mixed up with another order in their California warehouse and I was sent the wrong items. By the time I received the package, the actual items I ordered were out of stock. When I called customer service, the rep informed me that order mix-ups have been occurring regularly over the last year or more. How does a company not address that? Mind you, this is not a "supply chain" issue - it's the VB warehouse being a mess and workers repeatedly not caring about the merchandise getting to the correct customer. At this price point, these issues are not acceptable. Save yourself the headache and buy from a different brand.

Very hard time getting my money back I place two orders on some booties boots for my b day both never got the boots in time. When I got the boots the color wasn't the same as online it was darker. So I sent it back the next day. So here now still waiting to get my partial since the two days shipping never got here in time 12/29/22 that when I got the email. Terrible business now they got it where u can only email them no more call even more terrible. Ignore my email so now my bank will be investigating this concern matter. I will never order anything from this website. Never got my refund

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. Bought a pair of shoes and they sent me the wrong shoes. I had to send them back and they said they would overnight the correct pair. It's now been over a month and I still haven't received the shoes. I've called and emailed several times and every time they claim they're coming the next day. Lies.

I purchased a $650 jacket online. I used a 15% off "first time purchase " discount code that I received the same day from the website for signing up for emails. The code was entered, I pressed apply, then confirm order. The charge went thru paypal without the discount applied. I immediately wrote to Veronica Beard customer service explaining what happened, gave my order number and my discount code. The response from them was "it is our policy to not apply any discount after a purchase has been made. Read our terms." Wait, what? Now, since I have made a purchase, I can no longer use the first time purchase promo code. No regard for their customer's experience. Buy thru Nordstrom or other online vendors who treat their customers like they want to keep them.

I purchased several items on December 13, 2020, I was not happy with the fit and quality of most of the items, which I returned and was emailed by Veronica Beard that the items were received back to them on December 29, 2020. Per their return policy I should have received my refund of over $1,000 within 10 days. It has been over 10 days and my banking institution does not have a pending refund on my account. Therefore, I had to file a claim with my bank against Veronica Beard. I have called their customer service number, 888-686-9558 and it's all automated that hangs up on you every time without anyone ever answering. I will never do business with this brand and you should not either based on their horrible reviews, including my experience with them also.

Won't shop here again. I bought a black ruffle t shirt for $128. It ended up being super tiny. Im 5'8 and 130 lbs, typically wear a size 4. Medium size was way too small in me, so I decided to return it. Charges a $15 restocking fee for returns. Never again. Order from intermix or barneys and don't have to deal with them.

Um, just wow on this one... As I walked into the store w/ a box in my hands, the saleslady (in no kind of hushed way) commented to her associate, "great, looks like another return." What a way to be welcomed! She painfully endured the return (a whopping 4 items), then realized afterwards that I wouldn't be able to use the Amex gift card and was not willing to figure out a way to redeem it so I could use it towards another purchase. When I asked if it would be helpful to loop in someone from the online customer service team, she said "oh god no, they're the worst. I'm not dealing with them. That's just a huge pile of poo. This company is a huge pile of poo." Yikes all around....perhaps store staff is being grossly undercompensated/mistreated by VB leadership, but I must say - I have never heard an employee speak so poorly of the company he/she works for TO a customer's face. Hope VB takes notice of all these poor reviews and starts making positive changes for their staff and customer base!

Their return policy is atrocious. It takes them 1 week to deliver an order. And then you only have 3 weeks total to return it if it doesn't fit. AND THEY WILL NOT DO AN EXCHANGE!!! So if you buy a size that doesn't fit, you cannot try another size because if you do you may end up outside their return window for the first order. BEWARE!!!!

As a disclaimer, I visited this store today for the first time, during a private event. That said, my experience was excellent. The staff were incredibly pleasant; the clothes were beautifully presented, and they feature unique pieces. The gentleman serving cocktails was simply gorgeous, which didn't hurt ;). In sum, I wouldn't go here for thoughtless shopping (due to the re-stocking fee others have mentioned). That said, they have lovely pieces. Thus, it's worth a visit if you want a new (unique, pretty) item in your wardrobe.

My wife has been a long time customer of Veronica Beard. She made a recent purchase that was shipped by FedEx but never got delivered. The tracking showed the package was in a FedEx location for 10+ days and then it finally the site said "Shipping exception-Unable to deliver". During this time she made many attempts to contact Veronica Beard. Only once did someone answer and the lady said the package will be coming soon. After many days my wife made repeated attempts to contact Veronica Beard but no one would answer. We filed a dispute with our credit card issuer. With as much as my wife has purchased from them you would think she would have received an apology or explanation.

Online order for dress to attend a wedding. The dress did not fit, even though I followed the size measuring guidelines. When I went to print a return, I got a message that a return was not allowed. Had to dig deep into the return policies to find out that items marked as Final sale could not be returned, EVEN THOUGH the paragraph at the top of my confirmation and shipping addresses spelled out the return process, AND there was an insert in the package detailing the return process. MISLEADING INFORMATION - I WILL NEVER BUY HERE AGAIN.

I bought a $650 safari jacket in May and wore it 3 times. After the third time, I noticed that one of the grommets ( the main design feature) had come off and there was a gaping hole in the jacket. I contacted the company a FEW times to buy some replacement grommets and after a few back and forth emails, was told that there was nothing they could do and they offered TEN percent off my next purchase! Cost per wear of $200 plus a wear and this is what they offer? How about taking some responsibility for your brand and merchandise! Retail clothing and accessories are currently in a downward tailspin and this is how companies end up going out of business! Use your money wisely and buy elsewhere!

Love Veronica Beard and have worn their stuff for several years. I'd give the clothes and the people who worked there a year ago when the LA store opened 5 stars. All the women I've met there have been friendly and helpful to everyone who walked in. Until my recent visit this week when no one spoke to me, pointed out interesting items, or offered to help at all. I'd give this last visit 2 stars, and I think it's the only time I bought nothing. I hope some of the other sales people still work there and just had a day off when I visited. Would also love to see shoes with lower heels and less pointed toes. The shoes are gorgeous but not comfortable.

I ordered a jacket using a $175 gift card that I got from American Express. However, the jacket turned out to be too small (the sizing is totally off). After more than 2 weeks and much prompting on my end, I finally got credit for the extra amount that I paid on my AmEx for the purchase, but they did not credit $175 back to my Amex gift card (the card was marked as not valid when I tried to use it again). Plus, I lost $15 in the return fee. I emailed Veronica Beard customer service about getting the $175 back but heard nothing back. So that company made off with the $15 return fee and the $175 gift card amount ($190 total). Perhaps Veronica Beard thinks this is an acceptable way to run a company. What a bunch of crooks!
