What a delightful location for some energy packed bowls of fruit goodness! It's no wonder there are several of these throughout the city. It's a craze that is worthwhile and lasting for everyone's health.
Ok, so the real issue is that if you want a pitaya bowl or an Acai bowl, you've already accepted that you are going to have some frozen ingredients. That part aside, it would be nice to see it all blended smoothly. I saw the folks working here working diligently to blend everything, but it happens - there are frozen chunks sometimes, and well, get over it. The rest is all good!
I love pitaya, and so of course it was a no brainer. The best part was they added in peanut butter to the pitaya blend. It would've been better with almond butter, but that's ok, I wanted to try it as menu described. They have granola, but you can skip it if you're on the grain-free wagon. They have gluten-free granola too, so ask for it if you're interested. For fun, add in some extra protein, but yes, you'll have to pay for it.
The toppings include strawberries and blueberries and bananas, so that's pretty typical. There's also raspberries, nuts and some tropical fruit - pineapple and mango. There is coconut to add by the water cooler. Go all out and mix in some maca powder for more vitality.
If you want something warm, they have oatmeal bowls, but it's not what people come here for, so you may have to wait a while. It's not even that exciting, so, I'd suggest spending your money on the bowls or a smoothie. Boost it up with spinach or avocado - yes! They had some other food choices too like avocado toast and some pre-made cookies, but, I think it's a bowl place primarily!
Great little place. Nice seating by the window in bar stools. Some tables inside and a few outside. Good choices. Almond milk in the bowls and smoothies - delicious. Go here, order bowl, be happy.
