The 9 Best Instant Coffees Out There | Eater

"The single-origin instants tend not to have the intense acidity of some East African offerings but instead offer a pleasant, rounded flavor that’s accessible to newcomers; the roaster currently has a broad instant portfolio (about 15 offerings, including a decaf). The medium-roast Wilder seasonal blend is a standout, with flavor notes listed as “sweet, tart pluot; delicate cherry leaf; and floral dandelion.”" - Oliver Strand

Responsibly Sourced Coffee Should Cost a Buck More a Bag, Local Roaster Argues | Eater SF

"I visited a sun-drenched Verve cafe in Duboce Triangle and enjoyed excellent lattes; Verve is based in Santa Cruz and also has locations in Palo Alto and LA. They source directly from farmers and negotiate purchase prices with growers, paying above-market rates for much of their coffee so mainstream c-market spikes won’t impact most of their beans. Still, Jeremy Brooks, head of sourcing and green coffee buying, says Verve will raise prices next month for the first time in five years—not because of rising coffee commodity costs but due to supply-chain disruptions for packaging: customers should expect roughly a $0.25–$0.50 increase on drinks and $1–$1.50 on bags of beans as Verve pays more for corrugated paper, compostable cups and shipping. Brooks also notes that recent c-market prices (~$1/lb) have been unsustainably low compared with typical production costs ($1.50–$1.70/lb), and that moderately higher prices could help keep farmers in the industry." - Lauren Saria

Amazon Wants to Open a Tiny Liquor Store in Dogpatch | Eater SF

"I saw that the Santa Cruz–based coffee roaster has opened its second Bay Area cafe (not counting its four Santa Cruz locations) at 162 University Avenue in Palo Alto, featuring a large 1,400-square-foot patio, pastries from Manresa Bread, and taps pouring the company’s “flash brewed” coffee, which is brewed hot, quickly cooled, and infused with nitrogen for a creamier mouthfeel." - Ellen Fort

I happened to pass by and liked the vibe, so I stopped in for a matcha latte. The drink was okay, but I really enjoyed the ambiance and overall experience. I’d like to come back to try more of their menu. There’s space to work casually, though it can feel a bit crowded depending on the time.

Stopped by this vibrant, cute & cozy coffee place in Palo Alto. They also do have a variety of coffee beans for purchase & some pastries. Pastries looked good to the eye even though I didn’t give a try. Ordered a latte (with a pistachio milk) since they don’t have a pistachio latte flavor. It was good. Service was good and the cafe was clean with a lot of natural light coming in.

Total Score: 8.675 Ambiance: 4.25/5 Backyard garden vibes Food: 4.75/5 Got the verve nitro cold brew and the coffee was p rich in flavor. Honestly could have just gotten it without the vanilla syrup cuz there was alr p rich. Wow: 0/1 Normal cafe Total Score = 3.5*AM + 6*FOOD + 0.5*WOW

Google
Great loco.. Great decor.. all else HORRIBLE. The person taking the order was utterly useless, full of attitude, and disattached from reality. Customer " I like a large hot black tea" Cash register young lady, " when you say hot tea, what do you mean by HOT tea?" Customer, confused, " Hot tea ☕️? You know, 'hot' Tea? " Cashier, "we have many types of hot tea" Customer, "black tea... English Breakfast".. Cashier, ".........." not understood. Customer, " just give me coffee" Some other useless exchange. $5 later.. a cup of black coffee. 7 min later, Customer recognized coffee taste as the juice of a half bucket basketball (a used one).. uaaakjhhh

Google
honestly a pretty good cup of coffee (latte, to be precise). wayyy overpriced. Charged me an extra 1.75 for pistachio milk?? a 10$ cup of coffee is just a bit extra. Loved sitting outside, though inside can get kinda noisy and hectic, even if the visual vibes are pleasant. Like the place overall, and they always give my dog a little treat which is nice, and staff is very friendly. takes a minute for the coffee to come, but I think taking a beat once in a while ain't such a bad thing.

Google
The coffee is excellent and the quantity is generous. Also, they sell Manresa Bread pastries. Anyway, they don't provide trays, so you have to be careful about serving to sit at the outdoor table. You'll understand if you look at the floor. Hahaha. You can taste pretty good coffee around here, so I recommend you to stop by.

Google
Fabulous service and coffee and presentation! Lovely to have both indoor and outdoor seating and we sat outside with our pups!!!

Google
Coffee not to specified temperature We are regular customers when we visit the area This time coffee was cold. Very disappointing at this price point. After requesting it to be remade , we were told that’s as “hot as it can get”-really?? The espresso drinks were also cold. I sometimes feel I can make better espresso at home as an amateur than this last experience. I’m sorry about this experience because I really did like coming to your place in the past

Yelp
Verve coffee is a very busy coffee shop. Everyone wants to be here getting delicious coffee and pastries. It's very busy and the seats inside were full and the outside was mostly full but we found a table as soon as someone finished. The inside is a little unorganized where it's so busy and you don't know where to stand to wait for your order if you're not a regular. My pastries were delicious again and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! My latte was delicious too, but it was only warm and not hot, and sitting outside in the chilly morning with a warm drink wasn't my favorite thing so that's why they got 4 stars. I will definitely be back when I'm in town again. It's worth the wait!

Yelp
I got an iced white chocolate cardamom latte and specifically asked twice for it to be in a cup for here because I am trying to reduce my use of single-use plastics. The cashier assured me it would be in a glass cup, but when I went to pick up my drink, it was in a plastic cup. I had a feeling this would be the case because he was a bit surly and did not go to ask anyone to put it in a glass cup. I was really disappointed by this and told the barista who made the drink, so she poured it into a glass cup, but that defeats my purpose of trying to reduce plastic waste. The drink itself was pretty good and had a strong flavor of cardamom.

Yelp
** This review is primarily based on the espresso service as part of my ongoing search to find the best espresso in Silicon Valley. Ambiance: 5 This place is almost always packed. Several seating choices indoors, although limited, and lots of outdoor patio seating (beware, no heaters). On this day, I walked through Hanahous on my way here and noted that every other coffee spot seemed dead in comparison to Verve, which had a line of 5+ people deep the whole time I was there. The interior is crisp and clean, very modern and minimalist. Service: 3 The person at the counter seemed to be after minimal interaction.... No greeting, very little demeanor or even interest when the person with me asked about the pour over coffees. They told him to look at the menu on display "it's on the bottom left". He shared that he didn't see it and they repeated the same thing. I spun the menu around as what was facing us was the holiday specials. The person at the counter was pretty blah throughout. Espresso: 3 The espresso was decent, not very hot and there wasn't much of a crema, the aroma was slight, and there was little bitterness. Not to mention, they don't serve it with sparkling, an immediate downgrade in my book. Solid spot to grab a coffee (not an espresso) and catch up with folx as long as you aren't looking for great service.

Yelp
I am so snobby when it comes to my coffee given I was a barista for 7 years. Verve always seems to deliver quality coffee with exceptional baristas and good service. Lots of outdoor seating, but inside can get packed depending on when you go. Good selection of pastries. My only gripe is the lack of parking but guess that's to be expected when you're in downtown. Clean chic ambiance. Definitely try it out!

Yelp
TLDR: A great place to sit down and savor a nice cup of coffee and some quality pastries while enjoying the afternoon or getting a little bit of work done in a casual outdoorsy venue. To place your order, enter from the little doorway facing University Avenue. Inside you'll find two cashier stations bisected by a pastry display piled high with croissants, Kouign Amanns, Monkey Bread, Chocolate Chip Cookies and a Ham and Cheese Croissant. The pastries are supplied by Manresa Bread - the bakery arm of the 3-starred Michelin rated restaurant of the same name. Lots of seating inside and out. I love the outdoor seating under the trees outside on the patio. There's comfy seating inside and tables too. Lots of people here with their laptops flipped open to read email and whatever else.. Nice vibe. I just ordered a simple "Quick Cup" coffee and a few pastries. PRO TIP: Despite the menu that states two different sizes of "Quick Cup" coffees, there's just ONE size - the large 12 oz size.. which is really more of a medium size to me! Chocolate Chip Cookie (with Walnuts): Firm yet chewy. This thick cookie straddles the fine line between mildly crunchy at the outermost crust but with a tender doughy insides with milk chocolate in pasty layers and walnuts distributed evenly within. While I thought I was going to save half of this for later, it was gone in 10 minutes with my coffee! LOL.. so much for that idea! (4.5/5) Kouign Amann: Flaky, mildly sweet and oh the crunch and textures within! (4.9/5) "Quick Cup" Coffee - Holiday Blend: This coffee is what you wish out of every airline flight - "smooth and uneventful". That said, my Quick Cup seemed a tad watery though. I wish it were a bit stronger. (3.8/5) Getting here: Verve is located at the heart of Downtown Palo Alto - right at the busy corner of University Avenue & High Street, just a short 1.1-block stroll from the Palo Alto Caltrain Station. By car, you'll find lots of little parking lots all around on each block with some street parking if you are lucky to score one. Verdict: Lots of coffee places here in PA on University Ave, Coffee is good but I like Verve for the vibe and especially for its standout great pastries from Manresa! I look forward to coming back here again anytime.

Yelp
white chocolate cardamom decaf latte 4.5/5 Great place for a quick coffee! plenty of seating to study or chat with friends and greenery for a nice, calming ambience. Came here as a quick pit stop from a road trip on the PCH and was pleasantly surprised they had decaf lattes. Loved the combo of the cardamom and white chocolate. I got mine with oat milk and a friend got theirs with pistachio milk. Honestly couldn't really tell a huge difference in the taste as the white chocolate was on the sweeter side. Service was quick and polite answering questions and taking my drink order.

Yelp
Great ambiance in this Verve, with clean tables and bright lights. Lots of people doing work (it's University Ave after all) but it can be really hard to find a seat especially on the weekend it gets supet packed. I got a matcha here an hour or so before closing while I was in the area, and it was solid though took a while since so many folks were waiting.
google avatar

Yelp
Came across this coffee shop while looking for a nice place to study and I'm glad I was able to stop by! The inside was a bit small with very little seating so we opted to sit outside where there was hella seats and wifi. It was a super hot day, but luckily the outside seating had a lot of shade. We opted to order the Matcha Latte with Blueberry Cold Foam since it was a limited time offer. Although they were super busy, the service of taking our order to getting our drinks was pretty fast! Our drinks came out aesthetic looking and was as delicious as it looked! Their matcha had very earthy tones and was smooth. As for the blueberry cold foam, it was the definitely the star of the show! It's probably one of the best fruity cold foams I've tasted because it wasn't too thick, so it mixed very smoothly with the matcha. The blueberry flavor in it was also super strong but not too sweet! I'm excited to try whatever's next on Verve's menu, but I do hope that they bring the blueberry cold foam back!

Yelp
Great coffee shop in downtown Palo Alto! I love the variety of drinks they offer. I am all things pumpkin spice for fall and I like their pumpkin pie latte (though it's expensive!!!); and they get their baked goods from Manresa breads (which is a gem in Palo Alto for those who haven't tried it yet). I have tried their regular latte as well, and my husband loves their whiskey latte, which is a fall speciality. Highly recommend it. Overall a decent coffee spot, with great service! Ps. I have tried their matcha drinks and they were okay; and their customer service is good too, nothing to complain about

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee spots in downtown Palo Alto. Great location too, especially before or after brunch nearby. Plenty of outdoor seating but indoor seating is limited and popular. Free open wifi! They always have seasonal drinks which are fun to try, but my favorite will already be their Nitro Flash Brew. A little pricy but it's DTPA!
google avatar

Yasmeen E.

Yelp
The chicken ciabatta sandwich was SO good. Ugh it the spot, and I look forward coming back here to get it again!! The monkey bread was good too, not very sweet which is good. Only wish it was warmed up but it's so crowded and loud inside that it didn't feel inviting to ask the cashier to warm it up, but not a big deal! Plenty of outdoor seating that it shares with Sweet Maple. Free WiFi too. My only feedback was the iced chai latte. It wasn't good at all. I ended up throwing it away unfortunately. It just tasted like black pepper, not chai spice. Overall I would come back here and get a different drink but the same sandwich and pastry!

Yelp
Top of the line regarding differences in coffee beans and various serving ideas vs just plain coffee beans. You might want to talk with one of the waiters to get a feeling for the various types of beans as well as the names of the possibilities re: matching coffee with food you might wish to order.

Yelp
ordered the latte with pistachio milk. the drink came out super fast! order up front and then pick up your drink. clean and nice space. lots of windows and open air. right next to the brunch spot. i liked the coffee and it tasted good. the milk surprising didn't overpower the espresso. was $9 though.

Yelp
This is in downtown Palo Alto, so nice area. They have inside and outside seating. I ordered a matcha with oat milk and added vanilla. Matcha was ok, not the best, but my friends got coffee and they both enjoyed it. Service is quick as well.

Yelp
Beautiful building. Gives the impression of luxury and opulence, however most of what we ordered failed the all important taste test. The only wonderful part of our visit were the manresa pasties. The coffee, and more so, the hot chocolate were pretty basic. Very small and expensive! For the price point, we all expected better. The hot chocolate was lukewarm and not at all flavorful. The service was fine. Will not be returning, as there are better coffee places for this price point.

Yelp
This is a cute coffee shop in downtown Palo Alto with amazing coffee and matcha lattes! Everything I've tried here has been amazing quality and I love their almond croissants. The ambiance is great- natural light, indoor and outdoor seating, although it can get very busy in here. This spot is perfect for a special treat or coffee date.
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
I've never been here before, and I guess that it is some sort of small chain of places ... and I was very pleased with the coffee. I had a macchiato and I could taste the coffee and it was not burnt tasting at all. I also had a croissant which was a fairly good average croissant. I liked it a lot.
google avatar

Yelp
I came to verve for their iced pumpkin pie latte which is a 10/10 for me. The pumpkin cold foam is the best! I'm sad it's seasonal but so worth getting. My usual here is an iced mocha with oatmilk. It's a steep price but overall solid coffee choice. Space is large and lots of outdoor seating for those nice sunny days. People here are friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Really nice buzzy atmosphere for a coffee run, and their specialty drinks are always a treat. However, I experienced really poor service on my last visit. We love all the Verve baristas, but this girl was atypically cold and unwelcoming to people like how dare they approach the queue and place an order. Basic social skills and greetings are paramount if you insist on being in a customer-facing role.
google avatar

Yelp
Verve had been my go-to coffee spot on University Ave ever since it opened a few years ago. I really enjoyed coming here for the quality coffee and overall vibe. However, the woman working the register was totally disengaged more focused on chatting with two of her male coworkers than actually helping customers. It felt like I was interrupting their social hour just by placing an order. I noticed they were offering reusable clay cups for an up charge. I love supporting sustainable efforts, so I ordered my drink in one of those cups and went on my way. While driving home, I noticed something weird. Turns out, there was a piece of cardboard in my drink from the packaging. Clearly, the staff was not paying attention when preparing the drink, whether while pouring or adding ice. I called the store to let them know, and the woman just flatly offered a refund and told me I should have said something if the drink was wrong. How was I supposed to know there was cardboard in my cup before drinking it?

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Verve Coffee! I've been coming to Verve for years and their drinks are consistently good. I usually get their lattes or pourover. Recently they revamped their matcha menu and it was amazing - highly recommend the strawberry cold foam matcha! Normally, strawberry matcha drinks from other places adds a strawberry purée into the matcha drink and I don't particularly like the chunks from the strawberry. The strawberry cold foam matcha is perfect because I get to enjoy the matcha with a hint of strawberry from the foam, and the strawberry dust on top gives tiny specs of berry tartness. Perfectly balanced and I'm obsessed! I brought my own glassware to be environmentally friendly and for the aesthetics hehe (also a small discount if you BYOC). My dad also loves verve beans. The Wilder is one of my favorites. Very fragrant and floral. The new packaging is cute even though I'll miss the old designs. This location is very accessible by Caltrain (like 3 minutes walk from station). Parking is a bit limited but doable (2-3 hour parking near by in Palo Alto downtown). Friendly staff, space limited but not impossible, no outlet fyi

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday early afternoon with a friend after hearing great things about this place! Being our first time, we asked the barista for their recommendation and they suggested their seasonal cold brew, which we ended up ordering one each. Unfortunately, we both didn't enjoy this seasonal cold brew, as it was quite acidic and sour. However, I think this was intended and this drink just wasn't our drink of choice. We wanted to give it another try, so we came back around and ordered a matcha latte and a mocha instead. The staff noticed that we were ordering for the 2nd time and kindly offered the new drinks on the house, which we thought was such a thoughtful gesture. ~The Drinks~ - Seasonal Cold Brew: As mentioned earlier, it was too acidic and sour for our taste, but maybe someone else who enjoys more acidic drinks would enjoy! - Matcha Latte: Not bad! The matcha taste was strong enough and not bitter. - Mocha: Classic drink, not too sweet, not too bitter. I'd say it was a perfect balance between the coffee and chocolate. ~The Vibes~ LOVE their outdoor seating options as they have trees and lots of tables and seats! On a nice day, this is such a cute place to get a nice drink and catch up with friends. Overall, I'd say even though we didn't enjoy the initial cold brews, their staff are so friendly and I love the cozy vibes. Definitely worth a visit!

Jessica L.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite cafes in the Bay! I love how strong the coffee tastes without being bitter. If you are looking for a dessert like coffee, this place might not be for you, but if you want to actually taste the coffee, you will probably enjoy it here. I also love that they make iced cappuccinos, which you don't see at many other places. It's a great option if you want a latte with less milk and more coffee flavor.

Yelp
Uniqueness: Trendy coffee shop with good vibes and solid espresso Wait Time: **** (Usually quick, but can get busy) Food Quality: N/A (Didn't try the food) Service: **** (Friendly and efficient staff) Setting: **** (Great atmosphere, modern and inviting) Cost: *** (A bit pricey but standard for specialty coffee) Verve Coffee has a great atmosphere--modern, inviting, and perfect for getting some work done or just hanging out. The coffee and espresso are solid, not the absolute best, but definitely above average. The staff is friendly and efficient, and while the prices are on the higher side, that's expected for a specialty coffee shop. If you're looking for a good coffee spot with a chill vibe, Verve is a great option.

Yelp
I've been coming to verve since 2022 and this is probably my favorite speciality coffee shop. They are consistently high quality in their coffee and tea quality and preparation. Their staff is friendly (and very cool!) and the service is decently quick for how busy they can get. The interior is on the smaller side but still a beautiful place to study or work while you enjoy the sun coming in. Here's a longer review Food: 5/5 I've tried their espresso based drinks, teas, and matcha based drinks. I'm really impressed by their recent switch to ceremonial grade matcha and really love their Sparkling Matcha Grapefruit (I got it 4 times now since they released it in late Jan 2025) and the strawberry cold foam matcha latte. Their pour overs are very high quality and their teas!!! Thank god they actually use loose leaf teas and time their tea brewing. I've been to similarly priced coffee shops and they just don't meet verve's level of attention to detail. I also really love their grab and go chia pudding and overnight oats. It's a guilty pleasure because it's quite pricy and I know I can make it at home but ... man I don't know how... they have some special recipe or something! Service: 4/5 ~ 5/5. Only saying 4/5 BECAUSE when it's busy, it's a little more "efficient" which is totally fine!! However, the staff are so nice and friendly and will strike up a conversation with you during less busy times. I want to give a special shout out to Fernanda - she remembered my boyfriend and I and even asked how I liked the sparkling matcha grapefruit. Everyone is very friendly there despite how busy it can get. Ambiance: 5/5 always a busy and hip spot. I'll point out something special - they sell actually really good coffee brewing materials. When I was making pour overs at home, I would come here for the freshly roasted beans and filters and what not. I also like the rotating selection of merch. The place is kept clean for the most part too! Overall, I really appreciate verve's consistent attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality drinks at such a high volume. They have a rotating selection of seasonal drinks, while keeping a high quality base menu. The staff is friendly and the spot is a nice one to check out!

Yelp
Just very good coffee! The Gibraltar and cappuccino taste like Italy. I can never skip this coffee shop when I'm around. Tip: Although the line may seem very long, it moves quickly--don't be discouraged by the wait; just come in!
google avatar

Sebrina S.

Yelp
Service: I feel cringe ordering a drink here, and clarifying if I'm grabbing the right one Definitely do not come here if you're looking for a cheery vibe to start your day! Location: I love the outdoor space, and the indoor space is really airy open and well decorated. Drink: The drinks are solid, but I am. Deducting a star for price- and honestly I feel like their quality has gone down over the last year or so. I'm definitely a lover of expensive drinks, but a latte for $10 is insane. I feel like comparing to other cafes in the area the value and consistency isn't there. Maybe the staff is overworked?
google avatar

Peter P.

Yelp
Stopped by Verve and the buzz was real. Their Matcha Latte was perfectly balanced--not sweet and they offer various matcha options. Also tried the seasonal strawberry drink, a unique light cherry foam on top. The place has a trendy, minimal vibe with quick service despite the crowd. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the matcha! I'll be back to explore more drinks.

Yelp
GET THE MISSILE. I came here after brunch at Sweet Maple because a friend insisted I had to try the coffee. I've always heard about Verve but never really went out of my way to check it out. My friend ordered The Missile for me since I had no idea what to get, and honestly? I've been missing out big time. The Missile is made up of coffee concentrate, their house-made syrup, and cream, and it's perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, not too heavy--just the right mix of creaminess and sugar. Even if you're someone who doesn't usually go for sweet coffee, I think you'd still love this. Plus, it comes out fast, which is always a win. The space itself is super cute and modern, with lots of plants that give it a cozy vibe. It's the kind of spot where people come to work, study, or just hang out for a bit. If you'd rather sit outside, there are some outdoor seats, too. The service was awesome. The baristas were so friendly and explained what The Missile was (because let's be real, the name does sound a little intense). They were quick and made the whole experience really enjoyable. 10/10 would come back. If you're at Verve, do yourself a favor and order The Missile. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I had a delicious coffee here and the coffees ordered came out pretty fast! The barista was also very nice to remake one of our lattes when he realized that the wrong milk was used. Would love to come back when visiting California!

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop that was very open and modern. Quite busy for a weekday morning. I ordered a latte, taste was good but not anything special and average pricing.

Yelp
Great coffee and great cookies! I love the aesthetics and I loved the outdoor seating. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was so good! I wish I asked for extra sweet because it wasn't as sweet as I usually like but overall the flavor was amazing. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and it was so good! Perfectly soft with the right amount of chocolate. My boyfriend got the nitro and he loved it! Will definitely be coming back! The service was quick however they were super busy and it was a little chaotic.

Yelp
Back in Palo Alto for 36 hours, and I had to get my AM coffee here. Staff is friendly and offers informed suggestions on the wide variety of coffees they offer. The playlist is thoughtfully mellow for a Saturday morning. And the almond croissant? I might share a bite.

Yelp
Drinks were fine. I usually go to this location when I'm near the area. The 1-star is because of one of the baristas who provided very poor service. I came in at around 10:30-10:45 AM and ordered two drinks. It was busy so didn't mind waiting at all. There was a woman and two men at the espresso machine and hand off plane. My wife's latte was called first. We waited about 3-4 mins and there were a couple of drinks that were called out after. I ordered an espresso tonic, so I asked the woman (had pink in her dark hair) if the tonic was on its way since I assumed drinks would be called out at the same time for the same order. She provided ZERO eye contact and had a horrible tone in her voice when she replied "it will be up shortly". It left a bad taste in my mouth. I wasn't pushy or rude. Only checked if it was coming. Who ever this woman is, I hope she had a better day because whatever was going on was reflective in her attitude and customer service.

Yelp
We got the matcha cappuccino and matcha cortado! They tasted the same; the milk ratio was just the slightest bit different. The matcha was simultaneously bitter and flavorless, and there weren't really any tea notes besides bitterness. It's a cute place though, with lots of outdoor seating! Drinks came out pretty quickly despite being busy.

Yelp
I got the Verve breakfast sandwich and the goat cheese toast. Both were amazing!!! I really recommend the toast. It tasted great and looked pretty too. The drinks were nice and I have no complaints. I liked the friendly service and the kind baristas. The cafe is spacious and plays good music. The seating area outside is peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there!

Yelp
Top tier ambience and coffee! This Verve location is one of the best I know of. There is a ton of outdoor seating that is surrounded by greenery in a great central location. The baristas are always friendly. Service is pretty quick considering the number of people who come through. I've had their single origin soy latte and their matcha, both of which are delicious. The single origin latte is quite strong, even with the milk. Great coffee shop on all counts!

Yelp
Biggest takeaway is the staff are SO great! Dina and Fernanda were super sweet- very helpful and receptive when we shared what type of coffee we wanted to give us a good recommendation and make sure we left happy with our coffees (which we absolutely did)! The honey lavender draft latte was a little bitter for our liking BUT their take on the Vietnamese iced coffee was perfect! Sweet and creamy and without dulling out the flavor of the coffee! Lots of seating indoors and outdoors- outdoor seating was cute and had a variety of options shared table, bench, individual coffee bar, etc

Yelp
Really good experience today. Sofia working the register was kind and helpful and answered all my questions, even during a busy time. My daughter loved the missile drink, and the overall atmosphere was great. We would definitely come back!

Yelp
Go to order: missile + avocado toast The missile is delicious and always a go to whenever I come here. It's tasty and a nice little coffee treat. I usually like my coffee taste much stronger but this drink is more on the milky and sweet side, but yummy nonetheless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The avocado toast has this delicious kind of pickled shallots on top that adds a good crunch to it. It's filling and overall the components exceed an average piece of avocado toast. There's seating inside and outside so a great place to do work, study, or just hang out. Plus the decor is cute. They have bathrooms as well! Parking is on the street or the lot that's located more so on the backside.

Yelp
Good coffee and tasty pastries with nice indoor and outdoor seating. Seems to be a good working space, as the indoor seats were primarily occupied by folks on laptops. Would revisit again if ever in the area!

Yelp
Had no idea verve opened up here. That's how long it's been since I've explored the changes since 2020. They have two cold brew type drinks: one regular, and it is so good, tasteful. It comes out brewed looking like brown foam, with no milk of course. The other is a cold brew with half and half and vanilla. I so wanted to try that but for someone who is lactose sensitive, it wasn't a good idea. The indoors seem more like a quick grab and go but I think they have a large seating area outside. It was too cold when I went. There was a small line rightfully so but can't wait to grab some more espresso or cold brews when I'm back in the area!

Yelp
Found this coffee shop on Yelp and had to stop by when I was in the area. Matcha 6.5/10, coffee 10/10. Ordered the strawberry foam matcha and the matcha was not strong, so it felt like I was just drinking strawberry milk. They make their Matcha in a big batch (and pour it out of a squeeze bottle), and I don't think it's sifted when being made, which makes the drink gritty. As somebody who makes Matcha at home every morning, my standards are pretty high though, so it may be good to most. My husband ordered the vanilla latte and said it was great and he would have it again!

Yelp
This infamous verve has no charging outlets. Often times, we buy the drink and end up in Starbucks close to it for charging devices. Lately, thinking of skipping this store and probably directly buying from Starbucks instead since they are being more useful! This store can get hot during summer doors being left open. Also this store closes early, 6pm! Restroom code: 7395# Parking in PA downtown zone wise expires every two hours till 5pm. Public parking garage is close to Arya Steakhouse. Pros - Nice water fountain, WiFi, restroom and hard working staffs. - Environment friendly: has properly marked recycle, compost and landfill bins - Personal cup discount $0.25

Yelp
20 minutes to hand me a pour over coffee...nobody checked in to see what drink I was waiting for even though I was right in front of the bar for 10 minutes trying to make eye contact with multiple employees. Everyone just seemed to be in their own little world without a care in the world. SMH Terrible experience.

Yelp
Great indoor and outdoor space to sit and get work done or catch up with a friend. Quick service. Delicious drinks. One of my go-to spots in PA!

Yelp
My friend raved about Verve for a straight year, so when I came to visit, I knew I had to come and give it a go. I ordered a honey lavender draft latte with whole milk, which was so delicious! I seriously have not drunken a drink so fast. What I liked the most was the environment and the aesthetic of the coffee shop, the inside, and especially the outside patio. There were plenty of tables to study/work from and plenty of room to hang out with friends. The baristas were particularly kind and served me very quickly. I would come here again, I get why my friend was raving about Verve.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this spot! It's such a cute coffee shop with seating. They also have wifi which makes a good spot for working or studying. The menu is pretty straightforward and the drinks come out quick. we tried the seasonal miso caramel latte and it was pretty yummy and unique.
