Verveine Fishmarket Restaurant

We have visited four times now, including for birthdays and Christmas and it has been consistently excellent. The food is always delicious, well thought out and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and all the staff are lovely. David in particular is always happy to chat when he has a moment. We enjoy cooking at home too and even bought their spice set (six metal tins), which is fantastic. Highly recommended.

A wonderful experience. The atmosphere was buzzing yet calm, and the food was really special. The staff were super attentive, and the owner, who is also the chef, was extremely passionate, which came across in the food. We opted for the 6 courses @ £85 pp and loved every single one. We decided against the wine package and ordered a bottle instead, which was lovely. Would definitely visit again.

A stunning experience from start to finish! If you're even thinking about going, you must! The food was delicious! We had a set menu and each course was great. There was a good range of seafood and fish, perfect for getting a real variety and keeping the courses interesting. We visited for my partner's birthday and they even brought him out a mini cake, which was so thoughtful. The service was just right, friendly and passionate but not in your face. The timing between each course was great, and that's not common! One of our group was gluten free and they catered fantastically with no fuss. Thank you for an amazing birthday meal!

We had an amazing dinning experience at this lovely fish restaurant, the food was beautifully cooked and presented, each course was a pleasant surprise. Very skilled chefs with original ideas. Front of house staff, were welcoming, friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the best mocktail I've had, again original ideas. This is our second time of eating here. Highly recommend. We've been to Verveine several times and it has always been a fantastic experience. The tasting menu is wonderful both in taste and visually. The wine pairings allowed us to try wines we wouldn't normally have gone for (and are always excellent). They manage to lift the food to another level. Looking forward to our next visit.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Delicious innovative dishes in a lovely relaxed setting. My friend and I treated ourselves to the 8 course tasting menu which was actually more like 11 courses. The seafood is beautifully prepared and presented with many innovative touches. The flavours are unique and the ingredients are of the highest quality. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying the different seasonal fare. A highly creative team and the front of house staff are relaxed, welcoming and friendly. Fabulous experience. Cannot think of a better pick me up or treat to myself.
