Very Thai

Been waiting forever for this to open in the U.S. but ngl it was kind of disappointing 😭 Maybe my expectations were too high. The food definitely feels adjusted for American tastes, but overall it was just kinda average. It doesn’t really taste like authentic Thai food, and it also doesn’t taste like the one in Taiwan. They didn’t have steamed fish, so we ordered the fried fish instead, but the portion was tiny. It was $32 and literally only came with four little pieces of fish, like chicken nugget size. The rest was basically just garnish. The moon shrimp cakes were really good though. Honestly this meal was more about nostalgia than the actual food. Very Thai, but somehow not very Thai and not very Taiwan either. Probably not coming back.

A great new spot in century city, ideal for meetings or a nice dinner. Every item I tried was fantastic and the service is impeccable.

I recently visited Los Angeles and made a stop at Very Thai, and I’m so glad I did. The food was absolutely amazing, every dish was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was our server, Ryan. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we sat down. His recommendations were spot on, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell he truly cares about the guests’ experience. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in LA!

This was my first time and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and full of flavor. What really made the experience special was Ryan, he was so lovely, kind, and welcoming. He made us feel comfortable right away and provided great service. I’ll definitely be coming back

Ryan was absolutely incredible from start to finish. His energy, attention to detail, and genuine care for our experience truly made the entire meal unforgettable. He was not only attentive without being overbearing, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and gave amazing recommendations that we loved.

Grilled pork jowl is gold. It goes well with jasmine rice. We also ordered 月亮蝦餅shrimp cake, which is 👍 Loved their basil eggplants 🍆 Mango papaya salad is descent One suggestion is to improve the timing dishes are served: ones that go with rice should arrive when the rice does
