Yelp
Arguably the best pizza I've had in the U.S.
So I grew up in Europe in a country heavily influenced by Italian culture, almost every pizza restaurant had a wood fire brick oven so I'm pizza picky I've also been to Italy a several times, so I have high expectations.
A friend lives in Kennesaw and we were craving pizza so we tried it out and oh my gosh am I glad we did.
Inside you'll be greeted with a smile and a greeting by the owner/head shelf. I feel terrible for forgetting his name, but he's from Napoli. Along with the smile, there's several several other comforts of feeling right at home in an Italian/european pizzeria. There's an Italian soccer jersey hanging on the wall, there's Italian music playing in the background, you can see the wood fire brick oven and watch your pizza being made, all incredible touches.
The pizza is to die for. It's everything you want from a neapolitan pizza, and quite literally from the hands of a Napoli native. I usually go for the margarita. In my opinion, if your sauce and mozzarella are both high quality, a margarita is all you need. And boy is this amazing. The sauce is well flavored, and blends perfectly with the fresh mozzarella. Don't quote me on this but I think I remember hearing they import a lot of their ingredients are imported, which makes sense.
I have had their Diablo as well and it's also stellar (sorry forgot to photograph that one). They've got all the toppings you'd want, olive oil, oregano, salt & pepper, chili flakes, and Parmesan cheese.
I've since moved out of state but any time I have a craving for Neapolitan style pizza, vesuvio is what I crave!
