Highlights

"Vetro è lo spazio di pausa e ristoro dedicato a chi vive le Serre come luogo di lavoro, di cultura o per chi, semplicemente, vuole concedersi una pausa. L’offerta gastronomica è realizzata a partire da materie prime che rispettano la terra, il lavoro – artigianale e manuale – di chi le produce e le stagioni."

"If you’re planning to stay awhile in Bologna (and you should), set aside time to make the trek from the main historic center to Giardini Margherita. That’s where you’ll find Kilowatt, an urban project that revived an abandoned greenhouse space for coworking, community gardens, and Vetro, a quaint restaurant/bar space where you can have a lazy lunch in the sunshine at one of the picnic tables outside. Fare here is vegan and vegetarian with macrobiotic twists: potato, olive, and tahini salads with heritage varieties of local beans; fresh, whole-grain pastas with cauliflower roux; and farro kale bowls. The cooking is definitely gourmet enough to please a variety of appetites, should you need a break from hearty, starchy fare. If you don’t have room for a full meal, Vetro is also suitable for a pour over and cake with a good read." - Coral Sisk

We went for breakfast and had two slices of pizza and two cakes/pastries. The pizza was tasteless, we didn't like the dough. Sweets were good, but nothing special. The location itself is beautiful but it looked a bit run-down. The toilet is in a container and dirty.

Very zen and beautiful place to have a healthy meal! The staffs are friendly and honest. We had a tasty cauliflower, farmer pie and canelonis. All the dishes we well seasoned and well prepared. If you want to avoid typical tourist places, this is your place. For 20€ you can have a tasty meal for two.

This bistrot is inside some amazing Gardens right besides the centre of Bologna. It offers vegetarian and vegan food in a nice environment, with a good selection of drinks and desserts too. I had a great focaccia with seitan and aubergines, and a rich salad with seeds and legumes. Plus, a strawberry muffin and a chinotto. Everything is organic too!

pretty bad experience overall... first bad cappuccino in 6 weeks of Italy vacation. we had also a veggie burger and a Salat. the 11€ burger was really small and had no sides. the salad was old and had no dressing (which is not unusual, but then you receive olive oil and vinegar) and no vinegar was available. the location is very pretty, you can sit secluded within green plants with tables for 4. however on warm days it heats up quite a lot. there are no real plates and cuttlery but everything is single use plastic and paper. kind of contrary to the whole "veggie/green" vibe... toilets are horrible and might as well be the parks public container toilet. would not recommend the place 😐

Amazing eco friendly vegetarian restaurant and bar, plus environment centre in the Margherita Gardens, the Hugo Spritz is a must, lovely.

Vetro is located at “I luoghi delle serre”. It’s a small restaurant in a ‘greenhouse from glass’. It has a very cozy atmosphere and the food is tasty and innovative. The menu changes. You can eat inside on one of the 3 high tables or take it outside and choose one of the lovely tables placed in the garden. The grounds of the serre can get busy in summertime.

Nice location but rather disappointing food. If you come for drinks it’s fine
