"Tours at the Veuve Clicquot headquarters spotlight the brand's history while also showing off the cellars, which are carved into ancient limestone quarries called crayères. Group tours are limited to 19 people and conclude with a tasting. Other options include a Madame Clicquot-themed tour of Reims (for up to eight people) and tasting workshops. The tour provides a good overview of the Champagne-making process while also evoking a fascinating backstory." - Mary Winston Nicklin, Lindsey Tramuta

"As Dominique Demarville, the 10th chef de caves at Veuve Clicquot, says, 'Working with the nature makes you down to earth.' Demarville’s Champagne-making journey began in the summer of 1985 when he first worked on a vineyard. From there he went on to learn the trade, from growing grapes to subsequently earning a wine-making diploma at the University of Burgundy, Dijon. Joining Veuve Clicquot in 2006 gave him the golden opportunity to apprentice with the best. He came into his own after three years under his predecessor, and has since taken charge of a prestigious Champagne cellar that is two centuries old." - The MICHELIN Guide

The overall experience was just okay. We had gone to another LVMH winery in Bordeaux, and we were hoping for another great experience. While the caves and guide were pretty good, the overall experience just didn't feel like it was worth the cost. The waiting area and tasting areas felt like they used to be cafeterias for the staff. If you enjoy this champagne, I'd recommend just going to the property and have a glass at their restaurant/bar instead. We had very limited time in Reims, and I wish we had picked another house to visit.

This tour was very informative, especially to me who knows nothing about champagne. I didn't even know what "Veuve" meant! Our guide was incredible, knew all the answers, and the tasting was fun at the end. Ask what the various placques are inside the caves!

Documenting a wedding at the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Visitors Center was an unforgettable experience. This iconic champagne house provided an unparalleled backdrop for a truly magical day. We had the unique privilege of accessing the historic underground caves for the couple’s portrait shoot—a setting rich in history and charm that added an extraordinary touch to their photos. The wedding reception in the Saint Petersburg Room was nothing short of spectacular, with its incredible atmosphere creating a perfect blend of elegance and celebration. This venue is a dream for anyone seeking a wedding that’s both sophisticated and steeped in history. An absolute joy to work in such an iconic location!

Visited 29 Aug @ 3:05. We had a wonderful experience starting with the gentleman who greeted us at the entrance and showed us where to check in. The front desk personnel were very helpful, thorough, and professional. My wife and I were the only 2 that arrived for the English tour, and they still honored the tour. Our tour guide was passionate and knowledgeable about the history of the winery and the Champagne making process. The tour and Champagne tasting activity is highly recommended. In addition, there are many photo opportunities on the grounds, and the shop has a wonderful assortment of items to purchase. Lastly, our guide suggested using UBER (didn't know it is so available here).

I decided to evaluate my visit after reading the book by writer Tilar Mazzeo, "History of the Champagne Empire and the Woman Who Built It". The visit was amazing, with a quick glance to the underground cellars and the newest part of the winery, ending with a tasting of the Champagne Rosé. It was incredible. I recommend not only the visit to Reims, but also the book. Toast to Barbie-Nicole Ponsardin
