Starting with the ambiance, the restaurant is very nice inside, but they have WAY too many lights. It is so bright. The bar is beautiful, although no gluten free beer option is offered. The gluten free Detroit style pizza here is the winner compared to competitors like dough counter and blue pan pizza. The crust is crispy but not overly crispy to where it cuts your mouth, and the inside is light and doughy with the perfect chew. Their pizza is not as thick/deep dish compared to the other restaurants which is what we loved about Via313. It doesn’t sit heavy in your stomach at all. You can do 1/2 and 1/2 of different types on one pie. Their menu doesn’t tell you when a pizza is red sauce based or a white pie which I think is a flaw to fix along with the lighting. The jalapeño poppa was deliciously spicy and lightly sweet with the hot honey drizzle. If you’re looking for a white base and like a bit of spice I recommend trying this one.
