Austin Pizza Truck Via 313 Is Moving Rainey Street Truck | Eater Austin

"After being parked in the back of beer bar Craft Pride, I saw that the mega-popular pizzeria Via 313 moved its Rainey Street truck to the nearby bar The Alibi; its last day of service at Craft Pride was Sunday, March 14, and it will presumably resume service at Alibi very soon." - Nadia Chaudhury

Starting with the ambiance, the restaurant is very nice inside, but they have WAY too many lights. It is so bright. The bar is beautiful, although no gluten free beer option is offered. The gluten free Detroit style pizza here is the winner compared to competitors like dough counter and blue pan pizza. The crust is crispy but not overly crispy to where it cuts your mouth, and the inside is light and doughy with the perfect chew. Their pizza is not as thick/deep dish compared to the other restaurants which is what we loved about Via313. It doesn’t sit heavy in your stomach at all. You can do 1/2 and 1/2 of different types on one pie. Their menu doesn’t tell you when a pizza is red sauce based or a white pie which I think is a flaw to fix along with the lighting. The jalapeño poppa was deliciously spicy and lightly sweet with the hot honey drizzle. If you’re looking for a white base and like a bit of spice I recommend trying this one.

First and most important of all, which is a rarity in Denver, we were greeted with a welcoming smile. I am used to going to a restaurant in lakewood on wadsworth for detroit style pizza which was good but this is great! Especially the service is so much better. I love the marinara sauce and being from new york the gravy is most important to me than anything and they have exceeded expectations by far. Service was awesome. I have 2 of the children with me and they enjoyed all also especially the cinnimon baked sticks. Our servers name was Grace and we will be back very soon to see her. Highly recommend if you havent been here. Amazing happy hour prices and all the time Coors Banquet draft is $3.13. Full bar.

New neighborhood gem. I’ve had trouble finding a good Detroit style pizza and these folks hit the mark. They even have Midwest favorites such Superman ice cream for dessert!!! Loved sitting up at the bar, having a nice glass of red wine, a small Detroit deep dish style pizza and hanging out. 5/5 will be back weekly. Awesome staff!!

Just tried this place for the first time and it was incredible. Worth every penny. Possibly the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Alfonso was wonderful, welcoming, and attentive. Pizza, salad, and cinnamon sticks were all truly phenomenal. Will absolutely be coming back - we have a new favorite dinner spot! 11/10!

Run don’t walk! Ecstatic to find out Via 313 is now a chain AND in Colorado. I had Via 313 once in 2018/2019 at their food truck in Austin. I have never forgotten what it tasted like. This is one of the best pizzas you will ever have. Staff is happy and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Our server Wes, was wonderful, knowledgeable, super thorough and thoughtful.

What a great introduction to Detroit-style pizza (where the crust thickness balances between New York thin and Chicago thick, and the sauce is served on top), we loved it, and there was a good selection of draft beers that complemented the pizza. Will def go again!

A bit too expensive for me, especially their Detroit pizza. Also, they should offer at least one side of sauce like ranch with a purchase of a pizza. Charging $1.50 to $2 bucks on top of the cost of the pizza is ridiculous. Their beers are a bit overpriced as well. I could see $3 to $5 tops but no more. Greed is out of control when it comes to food joints. It was okay pizza, but not worth the cost. It's hard to find decent pizza joints without paying ridiculous amount of money for dough and sauce with a little bit of toppings. $15.00 bucks for that. What a scam. I could see maybe $8 to $9 bucks. The crust was a bit hard and tough. A little overcooked for sure. It was a super thin pizza. Barely any flavor. People don't pay for this, it's not worth it.

Belle was great! We came in on a mid-Sunday afternoon so we could avoid having to cook dinner. Belle was very helpful with the menu and gave us good suggestions on which size salad to order. Caesar was perfect for one person- Belle suggested both ranch and buffalo for our pizza crust which was perfect for dipping. Even better, the beer was ice cold on a hot afternoon! Ordered a classic pepperoni deep dish- Pizza was delicious and playlist was great. Can’t believe Littleton/Lakewood finally has a great Detroit-style option that is this good! Will be returning!
