Cozy, cash-only Italian restaurant in the East Village lined with exposed brick.
"East Village Italian favorite Via Della Pace, which shuttered because of a fire last year, looks to be opening in a new location a few blocks away." - Bao Ong
"A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to help Via Della Pace, the East Village Italian restaurant that was severely damaged by a fire in early February, reopen for business." - Erika Adams
"Charming East Village Italian restaurant Via Della Pace was destroyed in a fire after nearly 20 years of business." - Luke Fortney
"If, for whatever reason, you have a hankering to go to a massive, futuristic shopping mall in Manhattan, and you don’t want to go to Hudson Yards, then head to Westfield Shopping Center at the World Trade Center. Once you work up an appetite window shopping, you can check out Eataly on the third floor. For a more formal experience than the fast-casual counters, try Osteria Della Pace, an upscale Italian spot with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide views of other tall buildings in FiDi. The casual bar area up front is a decent Happy Hour option, when they have $10 wine and cocktails on weekdays until 7pm, but we wouldn’t recommend it for a full dinner. The food, like king fish crudo that’s $16 for four small bites of fish that just taste like the grapefruit served on top, and spaghettoni that’s basically a very average $23 pasta with tomato sauce, is forgettable and overpriced." - Matt Tervooren
