Via Stampa, a charming Milanese eatery by winemaker Marco Guzzetti, serves up seasonal dishes in a cozy bistro setting overlooking a historic basilica.
Via Stampa is the first Milanese restaurant from the 28-year-old winemaker Marco Guzzetti, whose organic farm and winery, Podere del Maro, opened in Liguria in 2018. The 50-seat space overlooks the Roman-era Basilica San Lorenzo Maggiore in Cinque Vie, the city’s historic center, yet it feels more like a Parisian bistro than an Italian trattoria. The dining room features a carved wooden bar at the entrance, which opens up to an enfilade of sunlit rooms with white walls and pale parquet floors. The menu — just as pared back and elegant as the décor — focuses on small, seasonal plates that in the spring include fried artichokes with Parmesan fondue and mint, and ravioli stuffed with borage, an earthy tasting wild herb. - NYTimes
Excellent lunchtime treat.
Great understanding of cookery. Full of flavour with nowhere to hide.
Super menu options and interesting wine list.
The staff are very attentive and professional.
Highly recommended

Very cozy restaurant & coffee space for excellent Italian food. The rague pasta was amazing while the sliced roast beef was excellent.

We had a mix of the different courses on the menu, the ragu, shrimp pasta, pea soup, leak, tartare. It was all cold, the pasta was overcooked and nothing seemed fresh. It was a big disappointment and I would not recommend anything but the bread and the wine. The restaurant itself was beautiful.
After seeing this review, the restaurant have called us and offer to give better feedback, which is positive.

Disappointing experience. We came at 9am, the cafe was empty and they asked us if we had a reservation. Saying no, we also told them that we needed only a coffe that would require 10
min. they asked us to sit outside and then we waited for more than 10 min and no one came for taking the order. This is exactly the type of place that tries to be exclusive without no reason and the output is only rudeness in a city that should deserve more, but suffers from places and people like this without no courtesy.

Came here after reading a NYT April 2024 article about “where to eat and drink in Milan.” The restaurant was cute, minimalist, with great traditional Milanese food and a terrific wine list. Our waitstaff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made some great recommendations.
Such a cute restaurant off the standard touristy path. Would definitely recommend grabbing dinner here one night if you need a break from heavy, Italian food!

Restaurant with stunning vintage/new piece of interior furnitures somewhat very different from other places in Milan. Food is fairly classic Milanese alongside other non-Lombardia dishes but limited and it is nice. Wine menu is abundant so many to choose from.

Food was bland and cold and did not seem fresh at all. Sadly quite disappointing. Place was beautiful tho.
After this review a person from the restaurant called us to make sure what was not good in our opinion, what we really appreciated, they even wanted us to come back sometime and taste some food together!

Nice space. Good for drinking a few glasses of wine. The dishes are ok and well presented but nothing that sticks to your memory and makes you want to go back
