So, sometimes in your life you meet a bartender who has full creative jurisdiction. Thats how vian is . You gotta refrain from ordering the usual mojito or negroni, and just ask the man behind the bar ( who is such a gem) to surprise you. Vian is the place for that, its the place that surprises you in the best way possible. I love it there

If you are traveling in Rio de Janeiro and can only try one cocktail bar, let it be this one. Vian quickly became my favorite spot for innovative cocktails and a pleasant atmosphere, I kept coming back to try different items on the menu and always left satisfied. Fred is a world-class bartender, he made each visit a learning + fun experience for me. As expected, the bar fills up quickly during weekends so it's better to get there early.

Great little cocktail bar in Ipanema. Nothing pretentious, just classic cocktails and some new variations. Showed up with no reservations on a Friday night and were greeted with a friendly welcome. I had the Penicillin which was great and my girlfriend enjoyed the Camu Camu Sour. Both were fantastic!

If you haven’t been here in Rio then you are missing out. The bartenders are exceptional and the atmosphere is unassuming making it the perfect local gem. Sit at the bar and tell the bartender what your favorite drink is and they’ll come up with your next favorite cocktail!

Great cocktail bar & vibes. Every drink was delicious, balanced, not too sweet. Definitely recommend. Had the Vi Passion, Basil Smash & Camu Camu Sour. All very great.

Great bar/place in Ipanema. I visited Rio for the first time from the United States and this bar was one of my favorite places I visited while in Rio. I saw all of the great reviews and wanted to try. The drinks were very good and the people who work there were very kind to me and my friend. I will definitely come back to Vian Ipanema in the future if I visit Rio again.
