Miami’s 17 Best Coffee Shops | Eater Miami

"A local favorite, this laid-back coffee house features a multi-roaster coffee program serving different coffees, coffee-adjacent goodies (try the espresso milkshake), and baked sweets like berry scones and rose water doughnuts." - Alona Martinez

Google
A very difficult review specially for the Espresso chocolate tart. The flavor is definitely there but the texture, in my opinion, doesn’t match to what I’d identify as a pie. The middle is mush. Top crust is too thin and crunchy. The bottom brings some balance. The shop itself is well designed and aesthetically appealing. Would I pay $7 for another slice in the future?: No! Would I try something else?: Yes

Google
DEEELLIICCIOUS COFFEE SHOP. I went to the location in Brickell and this one. Both are a hit. I ordered a dirty chai latte here. I really cant stress how good the quality of this cafe is. Best one ive had in town so far. Also, there are tables to work and wifi as well.

Google
Best tasting espresso in this city. Delicious blend roasted locally. The baristas’ service has always been friendly and fast too. Highly recommend

We wanted to check out this location on our way down to Miami’s Kaseya Center and while the other spots at the Citadel were cool, Vice City Bean did not impress us very much. We got an iced green tea and while it was good it really wasn’t worth the price. Maybe next time I will try a coffee here. Overall it’s not a bad place to try, but I think you should go for their main location rather than this smaller one.

Vice City Bean offers an incredible coffee experience. I had the One on One (Espresso and Cappuccino together), and both were absolutely delicious. The Espresso was bold and amazing, the Cappuccino was just as great, and their use of filtered water makes a real difference. Plus, their coffee machine is top-notch. Highly recommend! Big thanks to Claudette for the great service—it made the experience even better!

Google
Hellooo!!! My little brother and I had coffee and pastry here. I had a blueberry pie which was fabulous. My friend had a croissant, very nice as well. Coffee was cold at the point that if I do not drink fast I wouldnt enjoy it. Hey guys coffee needs to be hot. Hot. Hot. No excuses. Besides the temperature of the coffee, we had a great time here.

Got a cappuccino and it tasted great.

Google
First of all the barista girl is AMAZING she really cares about your drink of choice. She’s just a smart woman literally life at coffee shop will be so much easier with workers like her Denise, this place is pretty awesome but she make it waaay better TGIF

Yelp
I love this place! The baristas are amazing! So helpful when making decisions. The mocha is made fresh! I purchased my first cold brew growler as well! Can't get enough! Love that this place is inside of the citadel. Wish they had free parking though!

Yelp
Amazing espresso shots! Enzo has great customer service and was very polite to my friend and I from out of town. The ambiance of this place is very friendly and everyone is so nice!

Yelp
Best coffee in the city. Also appreciated how they use BIG ice cubes, so your iced lattes etc don't get all watery in the moment you step outside.
google avatar

Yelp
Standard, good coffee, but service was a little slow due to only having one worker. Parking is free in the lot, and lots of other good food options there!
google avatar

Yelp
quick service, ordered 2 lattes & they were delicious! this coffee shop is located inside of the Citadel food hall. really cool vibe, very family oriented- loud music. street views & plenty of food options.
google avatar

Yelp
Minimum $4 parking only to find out they don't offer pour overs as advertised. Now I understand why this location is rated lower.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Ordered an iced honey cinnamon latte with oat milk, and I have to say... best I've ever had! The attention/customer service was amazing and I love the fact they had more than one dairy alternative. They also had gluten free + vegan options for sweets. Great spot and the first thing you see entering the citadel.

Yelp
Was excited to try it. It's in what looks like a large food court. We were in the area and stopped in. Unfortunately it was closed. Google and yelp said it was open so it was disappointing. I'll try it again whenever I'm back in the area.

Yelp
Honestly almost didn't go here because of the star rating. Until I read some of the reviews and realized the complaints are completely unwarranted and out of their own control or just petty. This is flat out some of the best coffee in Miami I'll be coming back often when I can. It's a fresh espresso batch and ground right in front of you! Can't go wrong

Yelp
This was my first time trying a Vice City coffee and this one is located in a corner of The Citadel food hall and adjacent to Bachour. This almond milk latte tasted very unique. Definitely not the norm when it comes to lattes. It was somewhat bold and nutty and very cashew-like in flavor. It was pretty tasty and memorable. I'd order it again. It's also worth mentioning that Vice City makes their own almond milk in-house. They upcharge $1.25 to use alt milk here.

Yelp
If you want great tasting well made coffee, this is the spot. The barristas are friendly and knowledgeable of coffees; best ways of making it and best beans to try brewing at home. Being an avid coffee affitionado myself, I quite enjoy this establishments coffee products. They carry madcap beans and sweetbloom, single and mixed origin beans, you may also purchase coffee beans here. Come visit them and they will nkt disappoint.

Yelp
I have been to their shop and excited to see them opening a small shop inside the citadel that is a lot more closer to my place. Here is the breakdown: Coffee: Always well done. The team does a good job every time. My matcha with oak milk is always on point. Dessert: The key lime pie is actually incredible. Definitely recommend. I got some of the breads and had a good experience as well. Enjoyed a lot. Service: The team is always friendly and very attentive. Great sense of urgency. Tip: Remember to sign up so you can get points. Overall: Had a good time every time I go

Yelp
The baked goods look amazing!! The first time I visited two weeks ago, the cheesecake was amazing!! Dense with a sour cream topping, I had to return for it again today. Unfortunately, the recipe has changed, and not for the better. I hope they return to the recipe with the sour cream topping as the new one was dense but tasted like it was missing sugar. The staff was nice enough to give us a replacement with no fuss and the key lime pie was good, but I really wanted cheesecake.

Yelp
Love this place and the coffee. Macha. Tras and juices. On tap and. Or. Great snacks and pastries and empanadas.

Yelp
Not your typical coffee shop. After having lunch in the area, we decided to try Vice City Bean. This specific location of Vice City Bean is located in the Citadel. If you are not familiar with the Citadel, it is a "food court" type of establishment with a variety of food vendors, ample seating, and free & easy parking. So do not expect your typical coffee shop atmosphere at this location. But the real highlight here is the coffee. Even though the bean selection is not the one that appeals to me the most, all the drinks that we tried were good. In addition, prices are aligned with your typical coffee shop $3-6 per drink. Overall, if you are in the area Vice City bean offers great coffee, with easy parking, just not your typical coffee shop vibe.

Yelp
I waited for a long time before writing this review & it's sad because the ingredients are definitely quality. i can't seem to finish a mocha from here it either comes with way too much chocolate or they give it to me gritty & chunky sediment at the bottom I've tried to ask for half chocolate. Anyways I went thru 6 mochas before I had it here. So yea I drink mochas not latte & it's been all a waste of my time and money here. The chocolate is great too I really like it that's why I tried so many times

Yelp
I've come to the Citadel for five straight days to work. I've gotten a lot done and the ambiance is nice and the coffee and teas are delicious. Great customer service by a gentleman working the front and Cheyenne. She suggested the rose water donut and vanilla latte. So delicious came back again the next day

Yelp
I had vice city coffee everyday when I visited Miami. And I even took a bag of beans fly back home at the last day during my stay, that is how much I loved Vice City Coffee. No matter americano or cappuccino, both are great. My husband also tried their special drink - a sparking one, I forgot the name, it was tasty too. And their cheesecake is delicious! It totally made my day. I highly recommend!!! By the way, I'm a foodie artist. I draw for some popular restaurants and food magazines. Yelp
Heard good things about this place so I gave it a try. Got to say the coffee was very good. Had a cold brew and also tried the nitro - both had great depth of flavors.

Yelp
One of the best croissants I've had in a LOOOOOONG time, flakey and buttery without being greasy. The iced matcha was great, tasted like matcha and not the milk used (a common gripe I have w matcha lattes. I loved the fact that the food was fully encased in glass/plastic. So many places have only partial enclosings and regardless of the virus that irks me because people tend to extend their arms to point oftentimes contaminating the food. In regard to Covid the employee was wearing a mask properly the entire time he was working, something many other staff members at Citadel don't do. I haven't been to the stand alone shop in ages but I owe them a visit bc this was great!

Yelp
Waited for a very long time in line even though there were only two orders ahead of us each with two drinks. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, two donuts, a piece of pie, regular coffee and an iced latte. I was charged for oak milk after I specifically said I did not want oat milk when she read the order back to me. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait for the breakfast sandwich because they just got the proper bacon in. We were cool with that. Our sandwich came with ham on it. We weren't told of this change, and I don't like ham. After the fact when we asked they said they didn't have bacon. Some regulars were behind us so instead of making our drinks first since we ordered first the girl working made theirs first so we waited for our drinks even longer. Horrible customer service.

Yelp
Since their name contains the word "Bean," I have to admit their coffee is unfortunately meh. We got the Ready Brew with a splash of oat milk, it was bland with a slightly bitter after taste -- sat for too long in the pot perhaps? Their chocolate espresso tart, on the other hand, is delish! Rich, fudgy, and the perfect synchrony of cocao & coffee. The staff is friendly and efficient despite being super busy. I'd love to return and try their other baked goods.

Yelp
You need to stop by and get you a cappuccino or a latte and they will make you the best coffee in town.

Yelp
Iced matcha latte was okay. Waited at the stall with about two other people for about 10 minutes before the barista showed up to take orders. A few people left because no one was behind the counter. Latte wasn't good enough for me to go out of my way to come back.

Yelp
Stopped here while my partner had to attend a meeting at the Center for Haitian studies, right across the street. The Citadel is a huge food hall that is very trendy, with a large central dining area and restaurants around the whole room. Each table is festive with pipes and festive lighting that adds to the overall ambiance. Vice City Bean sits in one corner of the Citadel and offers a pretty solid selection of coffees, though this isn't your large coffee chain with all the latte options and syrup flavors. I got the cold brew which was strong and fresh, just perfect. They also have food options like empanadas and breads, with vegan options to boot! Looking forward to getting more coffee here when the opportunity presents itself.

Yelp
I had a terrible experience, we sat down after buying a coffee to work, then i finished my coffee and they told me I need to order something else if i'm going to continue to sit there. I then asked to buy a sandwich and asked if they can remove the cheese and they refused. All they had to do was lift the bread and take out the cheese. I asked if bought the sandwich, took out the cheese and gave it back to them to put on panini maker and they said no because i'm going to contaminate the panini maker.

Yelp
Great coffee on a hidden gem in Miami They make an spectacular brownie but they don't do it always Service is good Nice place for a relax coffee or meetings

Yelp
Excellent Specialty coffee shop offering Variety of drinks . The service is great and the baristas have big knowledge and experience in making coffee and tea . I've had their coffee before and I need to admit that is one if my favorites . Today I had delicious Iced Matcha Latte and chicken empanada that was big and filling, definitely worth the trip.

Yelp
Just got to visit Vice City Bean's second shop at The Citadel. They brought the same feeling of their first shop with them to this new up and coming neighborhood. Beyond their awesome coffee they have great customer service. The guy working today was friendly helpful and even offered me a taste of the new nitro they have. I wished I lived closer because I would be here every day. A+

Yelp
Vice city bean coffee is simply the best in miami...tried panther many times....reminds me of a great coffee place in nyc where there are many....staff have always been friendly so was surprised on reading other reviews that there not.

Yelp
The customer service was NOT the best. The lady that was making my Vanilla Cappuccino was extremely rude and not courteous. She didnt acknowledge me when I first arrived nor did she ask what type of milk I wanted. When I corrected her she gave me an attitude and began slamming the things she was using to make the coffee. BEWARE!!!
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Home of my favorite, perhaps the best, chocolate brownie tart in all of Miami. Do you enjoy a crumbly crust? Love dark chocolate? Are you a decadent motherf*cker that enjoys the finer things in life? If you said yes to any of them, then congratulations, you deserve to treat yourself with a hefty slice of their brownie tart. Actually not the biggest coffee connoisseur, which is admittedly a bit odd to leave a review since it's their specialty. But I do love me some pies tho. Vice City Bean low-key has the best pies in town. They look great for a reason. Next time you find yourself in search of something sweet to top of a savory meal and you happen to come across Vice City Bean, do yourself a favor and indulge in their pies. Roland & Co. you stay classy

Yelp
Service is great but the coffee is like water. Stronger coffee more flavor needed. Different coffee bean needed.

Yelp
Another cafe venue located in The Citadel. I had a Jasmine Tea and regular Coffee, both tasted good. The others in the group had Tea and Coffee as well. If you want fresh Tea and Coffee while at The Citadel, this is the place to go.

Candice G.

Yelp
I am a Chai girl and was drawn by the bakery box with "Chocolate Chai" cake but as I got closer to the counter... I had to try a Chai tea latte made with Oat Milk. Wow, I am hooked! 2 days later, I went back and not only was it as good as I remembered but the service was amazing too. I will stop by the Citadel for my Chai any and every chance I can get. Thank you for the delicious latte and pleasant smile, demeanor and conversation.

Deedee K.

Yelp
Their coffee and pastry is really good but won't be going back because the service was awful...at least at its location at The Citadel. The service is sloppy and staff doesn't even acknowledge you for the first 30 mins or so. Really should think about hiring folks who actually want to work there and take pride in their work.
