Kenya H, the young lady that took our order had an absolutely amazing attitude! She was smiling, friendly and greeting everyone. The food is so good! And the portion sizes are huge. My husband and I both ordered the Old School Breakfast but we could have ordered 1 and shared the plate. It was an overall great experience and I can’t wait to go back.

Google
Visiting from Utah and Googled best breakfasts in Columbia and this place came up. We had The Vicious biscuit, pancaks, grits, and a plain biscuit. The gravy was so savory. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy. The grits were delicious. My only disappointment is that this place isn’t in Utah! So many options I wish we could try!

My husband and I decided to try out a new breakfast place and this is where we chose. Their menu had a lot of different choices to choose from. I picked their Vicious Beignets that were with apple instead of the strawberry which was on the menu. It was a lot more than I bargained for. I feel like it was a little much but every part of the plate individually was tasty. My husband choose the Fat Boy which he was not very impressed with. As far as drinks go, I got cranberry juice and he ordered a mimosa. I kind of which they did a little more with their drink choices than just standard drinks.

Stopped by this gem early this morning! First time going and it was an awesome choice! The food was amazingly portioned. The combination went very well and the orange juice was my favorite! Freshly squeezed with nothing added. The young ladies working were attentive to me and helpful with what to choose off the menu. The manager came out after i was finished to check how everything went which i was very appreciative of. The atmosphere was a very relaxed but social place. If you’re in the area definitely give this place a try.

Google
Great food and friendly service. Tried the old school breakfast and gravy train Biscuits were 10/10 Gray was 7/10 Bacon was 10/10 Potatoes 10/10 Ega 10/10 Everything was perfectly cooked. The biscuits were nice and fluffy with great flavor some of the best I ever had. The bacon was crispy and well cooked. Potatoes were crispy on outside and soft on the inside. The gravy wasn't my favorite though and just ok. Overall a great place with lots of breakfast options to choose from. 100% would recommend

Google
Solid biscuit place but GET THE ORANGE JUICE. IT’S AMAZING. I got the sweet potato chicken waffles and it was soooo good! Their candied bacon and assortment of homemade biscuit butters and jams were also peak. Great freaking breakfast place.

Grey H.

Google
Absolutely spectacular breakfast and brush, perfectly prepared large portions high quality ingredients in hand and impressively friendly staff. I would come here over every other single breakfast place in the state of South Carolina and I have tried over a hundred of them. The facility was clean and well stocked, restrooms were clean, ambiance was perfect. The staff were knowledgeable, knew everything about the food and very very cordial. This is not an AI review and I will be back every time I'm in the area if I need breakfast or brunch or who knows maybe even dinner because breakfast for dinner would be great at the viscous biscuit.

Chloe S.

Google
Literally the best breakfast place I've ever been to. The atmosphere and aesthetic was really good and we had little to no wait time along with great service. The food was delicious and I will definitely be coming back. I also love the names given for the items like fat boy and flamethrower which made me chuckle. 10/10

Yelp
OKAY VISCIOUS BISCUIT, I see you!!! Wow we loved this restaurant!! The biscuits were delicious and we thought the jam/jelly bar was so cool. Our biscuits were moist and warm when they came out. Sooooo good. The cashier/hostess was so very kind. Honestly some of the best service we have ever had. Lastly, I cannot get over the skull design for everything. It is so fun!!!

Yelp
If you're anywhere near a Vicious Biscuit, do yourself a favor and stop in--you won't regret it! The biscuits are HUGE, fluffy, and loaded with flavor, and the combinations are as creative as they are delicious. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, from the toppings to the spreads (don't skip the signature jams and butters--they're a must-try!). The atmosphere is fun and inviting, and the staff makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. Portions are generous, so come hungry or be ready to take some home. It's the perfect spot for brunch, comfort food cravings, or just treating yourself to something next-level. Vicious Biscuit takes the idea of a "biscuit place" and turns it into an unforgettable food experience. Highly recommend--you'll be hooked after your first bite!

Yelp
So Vicious Biscuit has been on my list of places I had to visit for the last year. Anytime I drive by on the weekend the parking lot is FILLED and there's a line out the door. My husband took me here the other day- it was a weekday so we were able to place our orders and find a seat immediately. The way it works is you place your order first and from there are given a number and you are able to find a table. Now coming on a Wednesday morning it was totally different and I was so glad I didn't have to fight the crowds. Service here was super friendly so my 3.5 stars does not regret service one bit. However I've just found over and over since moving here a year ago that prices don't really match the portion sizes. My husband ordered a drink, the crab benny on a biscuit, I got the shrimp and grits and was torn between the sweet puppies or the beignets- the girl at the register recommended beignets so off course I went with that. Now the good- the shrimp and grits was a real portion that came with perfectly cooked shrimp, super creamy and cheesy grits and a homemade biscuit my meal itself was a 4.5/5. I also loved the condiment bar with all the different butter and jam options. Now my husbands crab benny- the crab cake was a good size but it was literally just that and nothing else. The flavor was good but portion was tiny. And the beignets were truly god awful- overly fried hockey pucks drowned in whipped cream and strawberry jam- again a tiny portion. I will say though the biscuits here were delicious as well- delicious but not a place I would come back to as a first choice if I have my whole family just me and my husband spent $60 which for the sizes I feel it didn't match the price .

Yelp
Visited SC for the holidays and this place was recommended. It gave a cozy atmosphere, and was welcoming to our large group. I ordered the HEN SOLO and a mimosa which came out fairly quick and looked like the pictures on the website.

Yelp
I normally always do to go. The best part about this place is the amount of jams and jellies they have to complement your biscuit. Like they totally take your biscuit to the next level. This place can get crowded on weekends, so plan accordingly

Yelp
Stopped in on our drive home from Charleston and very glad we did. Got the SEC, the gravy train, pancakes, and a parfait. Everything was fantastic and the biscuits were huge. Clean restaurant and service was quick and friendly. Only thing I didn't love was the "jam bar" where all the biscuit toppings were kind of out in the open.

Brie B.

Yelp
The food was delicious! Wasn't a fan of a seasonal iced coffee but their regular lattes are good. Highly recommend if you don't mind a bit of a wait in line.

Yelp
Visited this location on a local recommendation while staying at a downtown hotel. Arrived before 8am on a Tuesday morning & went to the counter to place my order after reviewing the large overhead posted menu. We were greeted with a friendly smile & my order was taken efficiently & quickly. I ordered the Gravy Train & my wife had the Crabby Benny with Egg & 2x medium fresh brewed iced teas. After 3-4 minutes our made to order breakfast arrived at our table. The sausage gravy completely covered the big as a "cat head" biscuit in a medium size bowl. The biscuit was flaky & buttery. The gravy was hot, luscious & very creamy. It was awesome! My wife had the Crabby Benny with a fried egg. The biscuit was perfect and the crab meat added a classy touch & tasted out of this world. The restaurant has large booths & 2x & 4x top tables to dine. The overall impression is clean, bright & friendly. Overall, the breakfast was truly wonderful. I highly recommend this breakfast spot.

Yelp
While in Columbia on a Thursday morning, we stopped in for brunch. Vicious Biscuit is in a great little spot on Forest Drive. When we walked in, it was busy but there were still seats available inside as well as outside on the cute little patio. We usually eat at Vicious Biscuit in Summerville so we were excited to try another location. We did not wait too long in line to order. We decided on the fried green 'maters to share and I wanted an extra biscuit. My husband ordered his favorite biscuit, the Viscous. We waited a bit for the food but it gave us time to peruse the butters and jellies available on the bar. I settled on the apple pie jelly and the sweet potato butter. When the food came, it was hot and definitely looked delicious. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crispy and the creamy pimento cheese and tasty bacon jam were an amazing combination. My husband enjoyed the tangy pickled okra as well. The Vicious biscuit was the highlight of the meal with its spicy gravy and crisp fried chicken. The flaky biscuits are always fabulous alone but are next level with the flavored butter and sweet jelly options. When in Columbia, we will definitely make the trip to visit again!

Yelp
I have not one single negative thing to say lol. Service is great, friendly and fast. Place is clean including the bathroom. Food is amazing. I love it. Their biscuits are delicious, coffee is great. The potatoes are drool worthy lol

Yelp
Today was my first time at a Vicious Biscuit, and a great experience! On a Saturday (late) morning, there was a line out the door. Luckily, it moved relatively quickly and gave us time to look at the menu. I ordered The Fat Boy and the friendly man at the counter recommended I get a Fried Green Tomato with it, so I did. We snagged a table right away to wait for our food. The interior had awesome branding with signage reading "Body by Biscuit" and "Son of a Biscuit". They also had boards with funny quotes from customer reviews. The ambiance was very casual. They also had a self-serve "Jam Bar", with all different kinds of jams and butters, such as sweet potato butter, apple pie, peach habanero, maple bourbon butter, etc. The food took a while to come out, but they were super busy. The Fat Boy was a very generous portion size, and absolutely delicious. The buttermilk biscuit was not dry at all, the fried chicken was juicy, and the pimento cheese and hot honey drizzle went great together. I also really liked the Fried Green Tomato. My friend got the Skully Squad Special and a Jalapeño Biscuit on the side, and said both of these were great. Both the blueberry ghost and blackberry jam I tried from the Jam Bar were very tasty, and I took some sweet potato butter to-go. Overall, we left happy and very full - would return!

Yelp
We decided to give this place a try last weekend and boy are we glad we did. We ordered a couple different items from the menu and both items exceeded our expectations. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and the place was packed early on a Saturday Morning. We both agree that we will return another time...

Yelp
Vicious Biscuit delivers again! Having tried this place in Mount Pleasant we came here before moving into the dorms. The line was out of the door and wait a bit long but so worth it! I ordered the gluten free biscuit w egg whites, bacon, hot honey and cheese. My wife had the gluten free biscuit with the fried chicken, son had the pancakes and daughter had eggs, bacon and a biscuit. Food is amazing!
google avatar

Rick T.

Yelp
Man I love this place perfectly cooked breakfast every time. Staff is hard working folk who take care of customers needs.
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
Great biscuits...plenty of food for sure! Oder at counter and take a seat. They'll bring you your food. Jelly and butter bar with several different flavors. We used the top biscuit and tried them all. Cute place that was packed on a Sunday...we swung in on a Monday and had our food within 10 minutes.

Yelp
I was supposed to go to another brunch spot on Forest Drive but realized they closed at my meeting time of 1:30. I looked for brunch spots near me and Vicious Biscuit came up. The reviews were good and the menu had items I definitely wanted to try. This is an order and sit-down spot, so no reservations are needed, but this place stays busy so plan accordingly. The cashier was on point with recommendations and let it be known that eggs on a menu item can be made any way you like. The food was delivered in a timely manner and was delicious! I found this spot on a whim, but will definitely be back.

Yelp
I have been waiting on Vicious Biscuit since my visit to the Summerville location. I finally had the opportunity to stop in for a morning breakfast. There is a parking lot, and even though it was just about full, parking wasn't too bad. There's outside seating and also a decent amount of space for indoor seating. Once you enter, you stand in line to order. You're able to look at menus while you wait. The line was to the door; however, the wait was not too long. Once you order, you take your number and find a seat.  I loved that there is a jam and whatnot bar as well as a place to make your coffee and get your drinks. The customer service was really great, and I appreciated it. The staff will bring your food to your table, even if you're outside. The outside space is covered and pretty comfortable. Also, the flies were not too bad, and the seating was clean. The staff will also get anything you need for your meal once they bring it to you. The food I ordered was chicken and sweet potato waffle, as well as a café latte. I thought the café latte was pretty expensive considering it was kind of basic and standard size. However, it was pretty good.  I received two fried chicken breasts, which were a great size, and I really appreciated them. Nice and crispy hot, really good. It was not too much seasoning. However, the chicken was still good, especially with the hot sauce. The sweet potato waffle was really good as well. They did bring me just about half a waffle because they say that's how the dough is and it's hard to determine when it's poured. However, it's not OK to not receive a full waffle. I did bring it to the attention of the attention of the staff, and after they provided the above explanation, which I know they did replace with another one, which I appreciate. They should have never sent the first one out. All in all, it was a good experience, and I'm glad to have a Vicious Biscuit locally.

Yelp
Up until this morning I could "Viciously" protest that I am NOT a biscuit fan....up until this morning. A friend treated me to breakfast, and I was leaning toward the beignets until I saw the Sausage gravy biscuit. I thought, "What the heck. I will try it." I am not disappointed. In fact I am blown away. This is by far the best biscuit and gravy I have ever had in my life, and I have been around awhile. Keep up the great work. You have converted a biscuit hater to a biscuit lover, as long as it's from Vicious Biscuit. Thank you!!
google avatar

Yelp
Vicious biscuits was delicious! The service was fast and they greeted us and answer any questions that we had. They had a lot of seating and the restaurant was clean and provided a lot of napkins and utensils. The food was delicious, but some of the people I was with said that it could be a little bit warmer. Majority of us try the shrimp and grits and we all enjoyed it.
google avatar

Romeo L.

Yelp
Eight of our ROMEO group went here today. Got there around 11:15 and the line was about 5-6 ahead of our group. The menu selection is quite large so it takes a while to figure out what you want, especially if it's your first time there. We had three orders for the Vicious Benny (Ham, biscuit, eggs and Hollandaise sauce), two orders for the Silence of the Hams, 1 order of the Huevos Rancheros, one Nashville Hot Chicken, one Hen Solo and an order of Vicious Beignets. The Vicious Benny was excellent. All three liked it and the eggs were done perfectly with a nice sized thick piece of ham. The Hollandaise sauce was great. The best "Eggs" Benedict that we've had In town. The Huevos Rancheros looked great. He said it was excellent and I'll probably try that next time I go back. Everybody liked the food and our ratings were from one 4.0 to four 5.0's. The Beignets are not quite what we were expecting, if you're familiar with Cafe Du Monde beignets in New Orleans. These were fried and. had a crisp crust and four beignets came in a bowl with strawberries and whipped cream in the center. The beignets had cinnamon and were good, just not what most of us were expecting. Service was great. We happened to hit the place at a busy time, but once we were seated the line was gone. From 11:45 to 12:45 there wasn't much of a line. I'm pretty sure most of us will be going back. Very nice place.

Yelp
Nice location and friendly staff. The building has been completely redone since the last restaurant that was in this location. There's plenty of parking and an easy ordering system that filters customers through the middle for order placement. We enjoyed the food and the pricing was in line with what we expected for a breakfast place like this. It was nice to have alternative options like yogurt and oatmeal if you wanted a lighter meal. Both dishes came with fruit and honey. It was delicious! The portions were also right on to serve as a main dish. We had to order a biscuit while there since it is called Vicious Biscuit. It was the only item that I wouldn't max out at 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, the biscuit was huge!! It also still retained some moisture so that it didn't tase dried out. I just didn't care for the amount of salt I tasted when eating it. Without a filler like sausage or jelly, there was nothing to mask the saltiness and it was tough to handle. However all in all I enjoyed the place and will be back. It's easy to enjoy breakfast foods, especially when they get your food out as fast as this crew.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Vicious Biscuit is the place to go for breakfast, brunch or lunch. They specialize in over-the-top Southern biscuit creations. Offers comfort meals that have no boundaries. During media day, we had the pleasure of enjoying some of their most popular dishes. The customer service, the food and ambiance all were a 10/10. Items featured: Sweet puppies: Deep-fried sweet potato dough balls, powdered sugar, served with white chocolate custard The fat boy: buttermilk biscuit, crispy fried chicken breast, our signature pimento cheese with our Vicious spicyhoney drizzle. Mimosa: Champagne, fresh-squeezed orange juicein carafe Outdoor seating and adequate parking is available

Yelp
Service was amazing, every single person went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. Food was out of this world
google avatar

Howard K.

Yelp
Wow! This place is amazing. I had the Gravy Train with a side of bacon. I did not need the bacon because it had a piece of sausage inside the biscuit. The service was great and very friendly. But, I must mention the ambience of the restaurant. Just plain fabulous. It's witty, sharp, and cheerful. I love this food.
google avatar

Ms. P Y.

Yelp
The food was more than what I expected, the portions are great and the quality outstanding, customer service was great, management introduced them self's I forget his name though, he asked how was the food, I expressed my genuine opinion, I told him I was impressed I loved the design of the establishment as well as seating, nicely created. I definitely will be coming back to enjoy some other dishes!!!
google avatar

Kamesha A.

Yelp
Visited a NC location years ago and loved it!!! This location was good. My food was good but chicken was just a tad bit over done and could've used a little more hot honey sauce. Will ask for some on side next time. Service was fast and friendly!! Biscuit was buttery, thick and moist. Pimento cheese = perfect. Only downside was EVERY free table needed to be wiped down!!!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Ryan W.

Yelp
If you haven't been to Vicious Biscuit Forest Acres, don't walk... run! We ordered the sweet puppies, bird and Belgian (chicken and waffle), the Hen Solo (chicken biscuit), and caramel iced coffee. Everything was DELICIOUS. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. The biscuits were huge and dense but fluffy. The coffee was great. They have a flavored butter bar with different jams as well. Everything we tried exceeded expectations. The staff was also super friendly. Go ahead and go now.
google avatar

Reggie P.

Yelp
I like the atmosphere and the customer service is excellent. The food is made to order and the pancakes are awesome. This is some of the best bacon I've had in SC.
google avatar

Bianca M.

Yelp
I've never been down here and for this to be my first impression of SC, yeah I'm definitely coming back, the staff was so friendly and genuine, the atmosphere was super family friendly and the food was worth the drive !!
google avatar

Chad A.

Yelp
Very ambitious and tasty menu for a spin on biscuits and traditional southern cuisine. Staff is soo friendly, that they make Chick Fil-a seem indifferent If going for Sunday brunch, the life hack is to go at 2:30, and you get right in. While the prices are VERY reasonable, it's awesome that they still offer discounts for military and law enforcement.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Ahhh, da biscuit explosion has found Columbia. Found my way recently, excellent biscuit/chicken with side of taters. Menu is expansive combinations of biscuit, plain cluck, hot cluck, honey cluck, jam on cluck, various butters to apply to cluck and "YES", shrimp n grits. Bet ya can add a section of cluck to the grits? Met a few peeps within Vicious franchise group, upbeat, glad to be in Columbia. We are glad to have ya Sir.... A solid Team with a very tasty product, give them a try!

Christopher B.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible. overpriced, waited for over an hour and a half to get our food, and it was cold. Nobody at the table enjoyed any of their food, and for 3 people it was $70 for fucking biscuits. There was also nowhere to sit while you waited for a table to open up.
google avatar

fortnite d.

Yelp
Their biscuits are fabulous but so is the rest of the food. They were busy and forgot my bacon.

Lannah A.

Yelp
I would've gotten everything off the menu if I could everything looked and sounded amazing. This was the best biscuit sandwich I've ever had!!! Everything about it was so flavorful and rich. The biscuit was baked perfectly and had a nice buttery taste with it. Drove from Myrtle beach for a day trip and this will definitely be my first stop when I come back! Great service and amazing food
google avatar

Krislyn W.

Yelp
The food was so good, these beignets were so good!!. 10/10 I would definitely eat them again. Kenya was the one who helped my mother and I get some recommendations on what to get and also, Ruben brung our food out fast and there were no complaints

Rachel M.

Yelp
I'll start by saying the food itself wasn't bad. My group got the "Vicious", "Animal Farm", "Crab Benny", and "Sweet Puppies". All were very good (highly recommend the sweet puppies). What I have an issue with is the service. It took an hour and a half to get food on the table and one of our people's dishes came out after everyone else had finished their food. The servers were clueless running around inside and outside with the same food or drink items multiple times, and our server wasn't even sure what the different between a mimosa and a bloody mary is. Food is good overall but if you want any level of decent service and timing then I would go on a weekday.
google avatar

K P.

Yelp
Very Good! Lively atmosphere, line moved quickly even though it was almost out the door. The bird and Belgian was good, I wasn't able to finish it. The shrimp and grits were good, I would get them at a future visit. The grits with pimento cheese were awesome! But the beignets..... the beignets were the winner. Presentation, ambiance, customer service, all were top notch on a busy Saturday morning.
google avatar

Derek N.

Yelp
A really cool place. Atmosphere is cool, service was great, and the food was good without breaking the bank. I wish it was open later into the day however.

Kelsi B.

Yelp
This is our first time here and we just came to just try the biscuits! The biscuits were dense and flavorful. It takes some work to eat them but they were good. I enjoyed the butter bar too. The service is where this place really shines. The staff were so great and kind. They explained the menu, made recommendations, and checked in frequently. The space was busy, but remained clean and organized.

Bruce S.

Yelp
Never again! My wife and I waited in line to place an order like usual. Sit at a table and waited 1 hour for our biscuits to be brought to us. When I took a bite of my chicken biscuit, the chicken was not even warm! When I asked to speak to the manager, the waitress said he was aware. Will never go back again!
google avatar

Justin B.

Yelp
Went here after military graduation. The staff was friendly and the manager came out to greet us and make sure everything was good. The food was great, biscuits were huge. And overall had a great time.
google avatar

Panda D.

Yelp
A bit hit or miss depending on the day. I've had some great biscuit sandwiches, but also ones where the chicken is overcooked and/or the order incorrect. Portions are large and filling. It is a good place to grab a quick breakfast, but for the best meal try to arrive when they are not too busy.
google avatar

Jeremy W.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant today and it was an amazing experience. The food was great and very satisfying I couldn't eat all of my food, the portions were ample. The atmosphere was pretty cool enough seating on the inside and perfect amount on the outside for warmer weather. The service was really quick from the time you ordered and receive your food.
google avatar

RJ W.

Yelp
The process is new, but it works beautifully. If you have seen the colorful menu, the food looks the same and tastes increíble. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. This is NOW one of my favorites Brunch Spots, love it!!. The ambiance is pleasing and relaxing, the friendly atmosphere draws you, the service invites you to stay awhile. Thank you!!

Darcy K.

Yelp
I had the shrimp & grits... DELICIOUS! The creamiest grits I've ever had. Perfectly cooked shrimp and one of the best biscuits! So glad I stopped!
google avatar

Christine R.

Yelp
O my goodness this place is amazing! Everything we tried was delicious and perfect ! We couldn't finish it all and can't wait to bring the rest of the family back to try it!
google avatar

Kimber B.

Yelp
I love breakfast but finding fresh, hot breakfast that is delicious and not just old reliable classics is hard. This spot does just that. There was a bit of a line. And the location kinda feels like a tiny Dennys. It was slighty crowded and there was a line but it moved quickly we ordered and sat down and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time.. FINALLY GREAT BISCUITS!!! But Everything we ordered was great. The sweet potato waffle, the chicken, the chefdar jalepeno biscuit, the shrimp & grits biscuit... Im normally not a fan of ordering beignets or home fries because they tend to taste like a cardboard box but not this time! Arthur let us know the food is fresh and he handmade the beignets! His beignets were great and his attitude made them even better! I even came back a time or two or three.. if you like Biscuits & Breakfast hands down the place to go.
google avatar

Danielle W.

Yelp
There is definitely a wait so go with the intention of a line and a wait for food, but it's SO WORTH IT! The staff was attentive, quick, and worked so hard for the large crowd. The food is THE BEST! We're from TX and I think this beats anything we've had in TX. I opted for a healthier option and it blew my mind! Everything was great, there was 5 of us and we all got something different and all of us enjoyed it.
