Wonderful stay in Meiringen at the Victoria as part of our trip to Switzerland! The room was spacious enough for the three of us (traveling with our teen) and the hotel staff were kind enough to have the sofa bed made up as well. The lobby and room decor are warm and inviting, and there is a fresh and healthy breakfast with eggs made to order before check-out. The location in Meiringen is central to restaurants, area attentions, and the train station. And, the the town itself is a great jumping off point for touring around Switzerland.

I loved our stay at Victoria Meiringen. We were here for five nights for a family ski vacation. The service was impeccable and the hotel is finished to an extremely high standard. Food was delicious and our vegetarian diets were well catered for. The staff was very courteous and went out of their way to make our stay very special. We will definitely come back soon to visit again.

We have just enjoyed the most wonderful stay at the Hotel Victoria. Franziska, Simon and the entire hotel team made us feel so welcome. Our room was super comfortable, everything fresh, modern and squeaky clean. The little extra touches were a delight and certainly not the norm in the other hotels we stayed. You can honestly feel the sense of pride and attention to detail, it is reflected in every aspect. |The the breakfast buffet is sumptuous and abundant and we enjoyed our fine dining experience. The food and flavors rate up there with our top meals in recent memory. |We can honestly say that this has been the best hotel we have stayed at on our European trip. What a pleasure to find a family run hotel - so personal. |The hotel is also conveniently close to the station and a perfect launching pad to experience true small town Swiss culture and acess the other local attractions. |Thank you for sunch a memorable stay!

They made us fool, by telling that if you take more than 3 nights, we will be able to get their special pack, so we booked 4 nights, and guess what? They didn’t offer us their special package, by telling us that this special offer was valid only for 3 nights not more. Very limited in breakfast. There were flies all over the tables, couldn’t even eat peacefully Also, one day there was a big spider in the room, and the second day, we saw a cockroach. I was living in a complete phobia, we paid very expensive for such a third class hotel. Not worth it at all. When i asked them to put the special product to evacuate the insects they said we don’t use it. We will clean your room better tomorrow. Nice nice nice. The staff member were friendly and nice but i think they really need to improve their services

Came on a Holmes-tribute visit, courtesy of my lovely wife for my 60th. Fantastic place to stay - rooms and food are outstanding. Had an especially good venison meal - one of the nicest dishes I've had for years. Ideally sited for the stunning Reichenbach Falls and the cable car up the Alpentower. ||||Enjoyed chatting with the staff - all very friendly and helpful.

What a wonferful hotel and friendly staff. They really did the extra step to make us feel very welcome and at home. The room was clean, nice and what a fabulous view, we did not want to close the curtains. The little extra details really made a difference, the coffiee machine in the room, the little light that went off during the night if you stepped out of bed etc. Breakfast was good and the food as well. We will come back

This hotel was top notch. I manage and operate a hotel in San Diego. This hotel was top quality, quaint, modern, and had amazing service. Simon was incredible. He helped us with our travel plans and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food was great at breakfast and dinner. The rooms were clean and top quality. And, it is close to the train, bus and shops. If we come back, we will stay here. Highly recommended!

This place was amazing! The room was beautiful and spotless. Any food you order at the resteraunt was incredibly delicious. It was surprisingly quiet for the bell parades that were going on for 3 days and nights. The staff knew your name and what room you stayed in even if you have never seen them before. Also they let me check in early the day after christmas so major points to the cleaning crew for coming in early to make the room. Everything was perfect until I re-read my bill the night after checking out. The bed had broke in the middle of the night on the 27th and I didnt notice of course until I woke up. I immedietly let the staff know and they promply fixed it while I was out. When I checked out the man at the front desk was professional but not very friendly with me. I dont know if it was because I was an American, younger, a woman or a foreigner that he was so nice to the German gentleman in front of me but had a less friendlier attitude when I talked to him. I am now back a day later to talk about the 50% bed repair for 100 chf I have on my bill. I asked to speak to someone about the charge and was handed the concierge phone at the front desk. It is Simon the owner/manager that checked me out. I ask why I have to pay for a bed I did not break, he says the break is not common and that the cost is 200chf and he graciously already paid for half. I told him how it happened in the middle of the night and that I should not have to pay for bed maintenence. I was acused this time that I must have 'jumped on the bed, or 'made aggressive movements' or had 'rough lovemaking' in the bed because it broke near the head and it shouldnt do that. He also stated that roughly 6,000 people come through the hotel per year and that the beds are fine for them. Again I explain that all I did was sleep or sit on the bed and if I had broken it myself I would have said so and paid the repair bill in full but since that is not the case I would like that portion refunded. He did offer to give me a copy of the invoice so that my insurance can reimburse me which is proper and I am glad that he is kind to offer. However he still insisted that it was my fault and it was generous that he has already paid half of the repair bill. Since I have no way to prove that the bed was previously broken, well used or faulty it seems that I am the unlucky fool that has to pay for it. I left that hotel in near tears feeling like I was branded a lier and unreasonable. The entire conversation I was calm and polite but in the end I felt like he did not care. For a Michelin hotel to treat their customers like that is unthinkable. Everything was perfect until that point.
