Victoria Bar

I ended up in here late this evening with a few friends. The cocktails were amazing, super delicious! But the two lads behind the bar were amazing! Super friendly and cool, professional but also chatty and sound. I'm not in this part of town a lot but I'll totally come back just because the barmen were so lovely :)

The staff here was really unfriendly. They didn’t like that I didn’t want to leave my small backpack in their wardrobe and the waiter kept insisting in a rude way so I had to wait and couldn’t take a seat. Then his colleague, an older waitress, actually pushed me from behind because I was standing in the way even though I was only waiting because they wouldn’t let me sit. She then told me aggressively not to wear my backpack. All of this happened within the first five minutes after we came in and it made all four of us feel so uncomfortable we just wanted to leave. Never experienced something like this in Berlin, would not recommend this place.

Great drinks, great service, very accommodating about seating

Home to the rudest, most disrespectful, condescending waiter of all time. I approached this waiter outside to politely ask for directions, I was spoken down to and told he was “in the middle of a conversation”, while speaking to someone outside (visibly not busy at all), and implied he was too important to give me 5 seconds to answer a question. When I moved inside to find someone else to help me, he rudely said “I’m ready now”, just to make me feel small. Disgusting attitude, I’ve never been spoken to or treated this way by the HELP, and hope he gets a reality check. Here’s a spoiler, my friend: if your job is to write down people’s orders on a piece of paper for a living, you’re not the most important person in the room and your desperation to feel important as a result of your insignificance isn’t a justification to be nasty and inhumane to people who actually are more important than you.

Great cocktails - we took 4 different cocktails and all of them were really good. We also ordered a cheese plate that contained really fine cheese. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud. The service was good as well. All cocktails in the happy hour are 8.90 EUR.

Victoria Bar quickly became our favourite local bar in Berlin. This place has such an amazing and tasty selection of cocktails. Amazing bar staff who are so well informed and friendly really take this place to another level. It attracts a more cultured crowd yet still friendly.

Still tops my list of favorite cocktail bars, for the love of quality cocktails - but also for the green-door-ish love of Beate, Herrmann and Stefan ("Die Drei von der Tankstelle") who keep rocking my boat since over 25ish years! 😉

Something I personally haven't experienced before, the servers were all neatly dressed, they were nice and quite fast. You had to ring the bell to get in which I thought was funny. They had some art displayed which was very interesting aswell.
